In 2015,this milk was sold for 28k or less than because then,we used to share it among our colleagues, and it's either I buy this one below,Lactorich or Dano. Mathematically,it is cheaper for me and my house than buying refill at #2,200 which may only last me one day or at most two days. So,yesterday the one I bought in early March this year got finished and I and my wife decided to buy another one that would at least last for another 5months or thereabout. The price of this milk is now #89,500 Dano that is locally produced is #87,000. I can see why the poor has been relegated in Nigeria and their voices have been smashed and dimmed. Ask the man on the street about the economy,he would say,e go better as if has ever been better in this country. If we don't put the right people in govt, the poor and the needy would continue to wallow in abject situations. Naija my country.[/quote]How do you preserve it till it finishes. Your advise is needed here |

Ukrainian Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko, on Thursday in Washington, D.C., for a World Bank roundtable on support for Ukraine. PAUL BLAKE/WORLD BANK GROUP/SHUTTERSTOCK WASHINGTON—Ukrainian Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko said a potential European embargo on Russian energy would significantly raise prices, lending his support to alternatives like a tariff on oil-and-gas imports from Russia. Mr. Marchenko said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal that an embargo would raise prices so high that Russia could still earn significant revenue from oil and gas sales elsewhere. His remarks echo concerns raised earlier in the week by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen as the European Union and U.S. discuss how to reduce the hard currency Russia derives from oil-and-gas sales to Europe. “A full embargo only gives Russia additional money because I believe that the price of oil and gas will surge to enormous levels,” Mr. Marchenko said. “This is why they try to use more sophisticated tools like taxation.” Mr. Marchenko said in the interview that money collected on a potential tariff could be used to support Ukraine in the war effort and that he understood the EU might not pursue a full embargo. In addition to placing a tariff on oil-and-gas imports, European and U.S. officials have discussed the possibility of placing payments for Russian energy in escrow. “As long as they agree on something that's better for us because time is so important for us. A fast decision can help us win this war,” he said. — Andrew Duehren https://www.wsj.com/ |

August 25, 2020 By Abiola Odutola This was disclosed by the Director-General, NTA, Yakubu Ibn Mohammed while he was questioned by the Senate Joint committee on Finance and National Planning on Monday. The Senate queried the management of NTA over what it called 11 years non-profitable venture with StarTimes. StarTimes is a Chinese electronics and media company with a strong presence in Africa. It offers digital terrestrial television and satellite television services to consumers, provides technologies to countries and broadcasters that are switching from analog to digital television. Chairman, Senate Joint committee on Finance and National Planning, Senator Solomon Adeola, asked, “Mr DG are you telling this committee that for solid 11 years, the joint venture agreement NTA had with StarTimes has not yielded any profit despite using your facilities for over one million subscribers. https://nairametrics.com/2020/08/25/startimes-nta-venture-yields-no-profit-in-11-years-dg-nta/ |
Permit me to say that "Nigerians are on the long road of frustration" the much awaited address of Mr President to the nations failed totally to address key issues of inequalities in the society, regards for those who lost their at lekki toll gate shooting and lack of political class commitment to the wellbeing of the society. 1) How can we reconcile the fact that our senators who virtually has contributed nothing meaningfully to the growth of this country over the years goes home with N36 millions every month with accompanied allowances in the same economy where teachers receives N30,000 a month. Virtually all the money meant for development are taken by the senate house yet we buy from the same market #endbogussalaris, #scrapsenatehouse. It is so disheartening that president Buhari did not disclose to Nigerians how he tends to tackles bogus salaries in the national assembly so as to free up money for development. 2) It is apparently clear that political class and to a larger extent the Nigerians are no longer afraid of committing crime thanks to the demonic judiciary in the land. Monumental corruption and looting of public funds by leadership class of this country is very shameful. President Buhari has virtually done nothing to stop that in his government. No accountability, no punishment of any kind to serve as a deterrent to others carrying out the act. This has brought Nigeria yo her knees. #endcorruptioningovernment 3) human right abuse and less regards for human life. President Buhari has show little or no regards to human life since he assumes office. No action of any kind prior to #endsars protest to show his regards to the sanctity of human lives. #endsenselesskillingofnigerians. These three hash tags will inform our protest going forward, because it has become clear that we the youths means nothing to these so called leaders. #giveusnewnigeriaofourdreams |
