LordReed: LoL the smugness is so palpable. You're deceived as usual, you were the one who said i would get to hell fire before you. So who's supposed to be logically talking about palpable smugness? Lemme show you how people like me really think below. 1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Do Intending Christian Couples Really Hear From God Before Getting Married? by Image123(m): 10:18pm On Apr 11, 2021 |
Afiastikal: Good day all
I noticed that most churches especially the not so new ones insist intending couples seek the face or mind of God towards their union.
This is to ensure the supposed union has heavenly approval.
So the big question is this, Do they really hear from God, like words to the ears or is it the usual God given instinct that every one possess that they eventually rely on
I know for instance that that if someone meets a good wife or husband material, there is this peace of mind that comes with being with the person or the thought of getting married to the person.. It is worth to note that this feeling, instinct or intuition is also present in a normal human being
So,please do you guys really hear from God before getting married Marriage is a journey of a lifetime and can many times make or mar you. It is therefore the most sensible thing to ask for God's counsel and help concerning it. A normal Christian ask for God's guidance and help in everything. It doesn't mean you don't have your part to play or that your life will automatically be a bed of roses. It keeps you from needless trouble though. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Please Who Can Explain This Biblical Verse? by Image123(m): 10:20pm On Apr 09, 2021 |
queenjoseph: Thank you sir.
I study every thing, both old and new testament.
I read Matthew, Mark, Luke,John, and Revelation in cycle.
Yesterday, I finished reading Matthew.
Tommorow, I will start reading Mark.
After I have finished reading Mark, Luke, John and Revelation,I would skip one day and start from Matthew again.
It has been going on like this for the last many years.
As for the Epistles of Paul, Peter, John, Jude, etc,I read one chapter in a day, starting from Romans today, tomorrow I read one chapter of 1 Corinthians, the next day, one chapter from 2nd Corinthians, etc.
As for the old testament,I read one chapter of Genesis today, one chapter of Exodus tommorow etc till I reach Malachi.
Then the cycle continues.
So in essence,I read 3 different chapters of the bible every day.
That is: One chapter from the old testament, one chapter from the Gospels of Jesus Christ/The book of Revelation and one chapter from the Epistles.
I also pray with Psalms every morning and night.
Because of this, I have come across some great and mysterious verses in the Bible. If you read the Bible like this, then you should have seen or learned that you don't need to read the Bible like this. It is well with you. |

LordReed: Yeah I should answer your question but you won't answer mine. LoL. Answer this first: when he says he cannot do something its not a limitation, what is it then? Hahahaha, looking for expo as usual. Cannot is not a limitation but more of a principle for God. God cannot fail, God cannot lie, God cannot die, God cannot sin. These are not limitations or weaknesses of any kind. God's Word is very clear about human sacrifices. |

Christianity Etc › Re: D Lawrence Was Not Able To Rise From Death. by Image123(m): 5:06pm On Apr 09, 2021 |
LordReed: You are free to continue to apply your persistent misinterpretation to what I said as much as you want. However you are not disagreeing that your god can make exceptions as many times as he wants you just want it know he did it this one time. If he wanted to do it again would he require your permission? LoL He cannot do it again because it is needless. You must have heard "It is finished". |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did God Allow Job To Suffer? by Image123(m): 5:01pm On Apr 09, 2021 |
heartbraker: In conversation with God satan suggest that job would turn away from God if he should lose his wealth and good fortune. God agrees to put the matter to test. WHY CANT GOD KNW THE MIND OF JOB ON WHETHER HE IS TRUELY THRUSTWORTHY WITHOUT TESTING HIM? DOES IT MEAN GOD IS NOT AN ALL KNOWING GOD OR JUST A WICKED GOD THAT JUST WANT TO DESTROY JOB? Because God knew Job was capable of passing the test and being promoted. We likely won't have heard about him otherwise. God doesn't allow us to be tested above our measure or limit. |
Christianity Etc › Re: D Lawrence Was Not Able To Rise From Death. by Image123(m): 4:53pm On Apr 09, 2021 |
LordReed: Why then did you object when I said he can make exceptions when ever he likes? Are you disagreeing just because you are speaking to an atheist? Because He made it once. We can't work on your presumption that God allows and accepts human sacrifice, which you refer to as like for the smell of death. You later equated it slyly as "many times". Glory to God, things are better cleared up now. |

ChizzyBuna: Death is a must for all living things Death is a process of transformation From one consciousness to the other
In original form You were a spirit Your spirit is attached to your father's sperm A white liquid When the sperm meet with egg. It dies This death is the beginning of a foetus This foetus grows into a baby Baby is born Baby turns to adult, gets old and dies This death is the beginning of a spirit The spirit then can come back in sperm The sperm meets egg and inject itself into egg and dies. The circle repeats itself.
Death is just a process of transformation from one dimension to another. So would you rather be dead than sleep? |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Devil Doesn't Exist.. by Image123(m): 6:04pm On Apr 08, 2021 |
ChizzyBuna: Look at people who are dead They look like people in deep sleep They have the same resting face that someone who is sleeping has. Death is the sister of sleep
When you sleep you are practically half dead until you wake up.
Who wrote the bible? Would you rather be dead? |

Christianity Etc › Re: The Devil Doesn't Exist.. by Image123(m): 5:47pm On Apr 08, 2021 |
ChizzyBuna: I have come to a conclusion that the Bible is a product of fiction, myths and legend.
Humans have been story tellers right from the early stage of humans. Humans pass knowledge and wisdom down to generation in form of stories. Stories are made up fictional events that help pass a life learning message, moral or lesson. Stories like Zeus, Hercules, Thor, greek mythology, Amadioha, Sango are fictional tales made up to pass a message across. This is not different from morden day stories and movies about avengers, hulk, wolverine, Superman, Batman These stories are fictional but they teach us life lessons. Stories such as the temptation of Jesus Christ, the revelation, book of job, Lazarus and poor man, the prodigal son,the garden of Eden, the 7 days of creation. Are all fictional stories made up to pass a message. These stories are know as "Parables"
Every story has to have a "bad guy" or Boss Every story has to have a "good guy" or Actor Satan is an imaginary figure that plays the role of the bad guy. Just like Thanos in avengers Just like the boss in every action gun movie. Satan is the boss/bad guy in the Bible Satan is a fictional character created by the writers of bible.
Superman, hulk, batman doesn't exist Zeus, Hercules, Aphrodite do not exist Sango, Amadioha and co don't exist Satan, devil or Lucifer doesn't exist These are all fictional characters playing different roles in each story while passing a life lesson across.
Believing Satan exist is the same as believing hulk, Superman, hercules is real. They are all imaginary characters. Lol, only that the Bible is so true, so unique, so alive and so powerful. You don't compare sleep with death as they say. |

Christianity Etc › Re: D Lawrence Was Not Able To Rise From Death. by Image123(m): 10:31am On Apr 08, 2021 |
LordReed: There are several things your god condemns but goes right ahead to do so showing me where he condemns it does nothing to the narrative that he initiated and accepted a human sacrifice (let's not even talk about Jepthah). A human sacrifice is an exception. |
