2. You say there are only 1,3million species of animals. This is not true. The list you gave above are FAMILIES. Elephants alone have 5 different species. Cheetahs have about 4 species, you mentioned Amphibians. Frogs are just one of the over 20,000 amphibians and frogs alone have hundreds of species all very different from each other. So by the time we consider salamanders and other amphibians you will see that we have far more than 20,000 you mentioned.

ALSO don't forget they were in pairs and some where in 7 pairs (14 animals) for each specie. All birds where in 7 pairs that is 14 birds for each specie. So at the end we have over 20 million animals going into the ark.


3. You say the ark did not land at the very top of mt. Ararat which is 5,100 meters high. That is not a contention. All I am sure of is the bible making it very clear that the waters covered all the mountains in the world. (Let us not twist facts). It probably made this claim so that we won't think anyone was able to climb to the top and survive. So the whole world was flooded and all mountains were covered including ararat.

How does this answer where we got

What if it was by God's power that the ark could fit all those animals?

To answer this I would say, if God had this plan he won't have asked Noah to single handedly build such a large ark.

It takes use about a year to build ships that are not even this big and that is even with the use of modern technology!

If God had a miracle in mind, he could have miraculously provided a ship for noah or asked him to build even a far smaller ark that noah and his family could have easily achieved!

it is so obvious the story was calculated to be believable. The fabricators made attempts to make it as realistic as possible. Thinking of a big ark and even using tar to cover it. It shows that there was a deliberate attempt to make the ark physically fit for the job. This was not about a miracle, there was proportion. Such an ark would have been sufficient to save all the animals in mesopotemia, but the author did not know there were millions of different animals around the world.

So let us be realistic here is it was a miracle angle thing, the authors won't lay emphasis on the size and 3 levels and use of tar. Or the windows for ventilation. They tried their best to make it physically and scientifically real.

There will be 2 sides so that is 20,250 X 2

= 40,500 sq ft


Then we have the front and back walls

3,375 sq ft

Times 2 (for front and back)

3,375 X 2 = 6,750sq foot

So let use see the surface area we can make use of in total
That is

101,250 + 40,500 + 6,750 = 148,500 sq foot of surface area including the walls for the insects to hang on

Ok the area of each roof was 33,750 and there were 3 roofs
So that is another 101,250 sq ft extra!

So total area we can use including the 3 floors, 4 walls, and 3 roofs (ignoring the thickness of the timber Noah used and how much space the timber used for bracing the ark must have taken)
We have TOTAL SPACE of 249,750 sq ft

This space divided by 20 million occupants

Each animal gets 0.013 sq ft of space


HOW SMALL IS THIS?

This is a mere 3.9 mm by 3.9 mm! For each animal even after using all the space in the ark including the walls and roof!
That space is even too small for a common house fly.

So the ark was more packed than a can of sardines!

Let's take the average weight of an insect to be 10 grammes, that is about 9,500kg and they were taken male and female so that is multiplied by 2 which give 19,000. That is 19tonnes for insects only.
At least 1,900,000 insects were in the ark.
There are 12,000 different species of ants alone!

Heaviest specie of cockroach which is a rare specie is about 30g. Most insects are far lighter and smaller than the roach. i understand your dishonesty though, i've been there when i was a sinner. So this means the number of animals on board must have been over 20 million or even as much as 40 million!!!!

One other thing to note about the whole Noah and the Ark study is that Noah lived during the time of the first man Adam. Those were days when men still lived up to 600years old. They had the winding down or downtrend of awesome intelligence. It is in our days that intelligence has begun to pick and peak again, even as the Bible prophecied that knowledge shall increase in the last time. Adam had awesome, overgenius intelligence. There was a man who was able to manage and keep the size of Eden in a paradisic state and with ability to replenish the earth with same. Therefore ability to provide for feeding or taking care of excretion isn't rocket science. Noah had over a century to prepare. Also note that the size of the ark must have been quite massive. Whatever measure they used to calculate cubit, which obviously is different from what we may use today, fifteen cubits was higher than the mountains, and the height of the ark was thirty cubits. So it was a very very very big ark. Also note that no fish was in the ark, it was earth animals.

This is nothing strange to true science, the possibility of water overflowing its BOUNDARIES. A whole city can be so easily flooded and we see that from time to time. There are at least four science inclined thoughts that support possibility of such magnitude of flooding. You will do well to update your poor knowledge of things.
1. The Ice Age.
2. Precipitation and formation of most rocks were said to have been done in water i.e those exposed rocks you see were once under water according to science.
3. The presence of fauna and flora fossils buried in rocks is explained by science to floods high enough to cover such mountains.
4. Many volcanic rocks, which are usually the highest rocks above sea level, were said to have been formed under very cool conditions, which is usually attributed to under water.

Very obvious this was written because the author experienced some days rain and his town got flooded then he must have imagined what 4days and 40 nights rain would cause. So he concluded it would cover all mountains
But there is simply not enough water to achieve this.

INFACT if all the icebergs melted and all water unleashed, geologists say it would only be 61meters above the current sea level.

Most Bible scholars think that there was no rain before the Noah flood. While i am not of the same thought, at least it is fair to say that they were not thinking about previous rain or flood. Who or where did the so called geologists give you this scenario, pray tell us mr research?

So why not take a moment and think about this.

Was the bible really from God? With no lies? Can it survive scrutiny as all truth should?

What this reveals is your ignorance of real science. Science in itself says that the earth has been covered wit water in the past. There is also a period referred to as the Ice Age, a period said to be many million years ago. The point here is that you are wrong to think that it is so impossible for the earth to be filled with water, based on calculations pulled out of your idle pockets.

Before we go far, the BIG QUESTION IS, COULD THIS HAVE EVER happened? Could the whole earth be truly covered by water?

GENESIS 7:18-20 "18 The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water. 19 They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered. 20 The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than fifteen cubits"

For us to accept this we must Note verse 19 that says the water covers ALL mountains under the heavens INCLUDING mount EVEREST that is 8,800 meters tall!

How much water will be needed for this to be achieved?

CALCULATION
Volume of water above all mountains = (Volume of earth+water above highest peak)V2 - (volume of earth)V1

volume of a sphere, V=4/3πr³.

Radius of the Earth is 6,371KM

V1= 1,083,642,907,017.5 Cubic kilometers

To get V2 we must add the height of the highest peak which is mount Everest(which is 8.8km) to the radius of the earth at sea level.
R2= 6,371 + 8.8 = 6,379.8KM

Using the formula V=4/3πr³.

V2=1,088,139,486,240.6 Cubic Kilometer (which will be the new volume of the earth when totally covered with water)

So the added volume is V2-V1
=4,496,579,223.1 Cubic kilometers of water!

BTW, first things first. The Bible is a spiritual book, and Christianity is a [size=14pt]FAITH[/size]. The central and most vital theme and requirement of christianity is faith. Believers are expected and required to believe.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

You cannot substitute faith for sight. Believe is first, it is priority, it is center. It is far more important than logic or reasoning when it comes to the Faith. Note that they are not mutually exclusive, atheists dully try to believe so, being bereft of much belief. No pun intended. It is like someone trying to make calculations central in literature, or sociology. While calculations and figures are important and good, they do not take preeminece in such issues. It is the same thing with the Faith. So forget all these attempts at stopping believers from believing first. Stop fetching water into a basket, it is not very smart.

The onus lies on you little fellow. You brought up a thread stating that Jesus never existed. The reasonable thing is for you to tell us why you think so. How do you come to the conclusion that Paul existed, or that this nameless fellow who you seem to have his record existed?

Did it really happen, though? Let's look at the evidence.

1. The Empty Tomb And The Men In White

Mark, which was the first gospel to be written, describes the incident in chapter 16:

Is it reasonable to accept this as evidence that Jesus rose from the dead? Let's see.

Jesus was the T B Joshua of his time. He came from a humble background, was loved by the masses because of his miracle ministry, and was hated by the religious establishment which didn't accept him as a true man of God and felt that his teachings were unscriptural.

Now lets imagine that T. B Joshua died, and then 3 days later the 3 women who were closest to him when he was alive in his ministry came to you with this story: That they went to T B Joshua's grave to pray and lay flowers, but when they got there, they saw that the grave had been opened, the body missing and a young guy in a white suit was sitting there. And the guy told them that T B Joshua had risen from the dead.

Would it be reasonable to believe that T B Joshua had risen from the dead on the basis of this testimony? Wouldn't you be suspicious that T B Joshua's body had been stolen by his top pastors to make it appear that he had risen? That the man in white was just an accomplice of the thieves? That maybe the women were hallucinating due to their grief, or simply lying to hype their hero and crush?

Your OP seems to be based on ONLY biblical evidence for the resurrection. In that case, your context is skewed. The Biblical narration of the resurrection was not primarily written to convince UNBELIEVERS, it was written to believers. No much wonder that believers believe it, fulfilling its purpose. On Jesus and TB, that is a huge miss, they do not compare in any form or sphere. TB is controversial, well so are many entertainers. TB is sometimes unconventional, but not in the Christlike sense. TB's miracle ministry is suspect by many, Jesus miracle ministry was a major headache to His antagonists and clear to all. So also were His teachings and prophecy.
Do not just imagine that TB died. Also get in the fact that Jesus had been drumming it into everyone's ears clearly that He would die and would RISE AGAIN on the third day. Soldiers were at the grave of Jesus and the place was blocked with a huge stone and sealed by the governor. Also, the women went to the disciples, not to unbelievers/sinners. The disciples were said to have gone to the grave and CONFIRMED what they were told. Jesus later went on to appear to these same disciples confirming what the women had said to them.

Luke's Gospel, written about 10 years later, describes the same incident thus:

Notice how the story has been altered to solve the issues with the first one, and spiced up?

Imagine if, in the hypothetical case of TB Joshua's alleged resurrection, the women who told you about his empty grave came back 10 years later to tell the same story. But this time, instead of a young man in a white suit who was sitting by the grave when they arrived, they claim that there was no one at T B joshua's grave initially and then suddenly, two men in glowing suits as bright as the sun (implying angels) appeared before them and gave them a scriptural lesson. Would those changes make the story more believable to you, or less so?

This is not unsual, that is the number discrepancy. The main message and point is not lost or altered. That is the fact that Christ resurrected, they were informed of this at the empty grave, and went to tell His disciples. Note that the account was penned down by two different people. Even in cases of same person, we do not tell a story/event the same way after a while. Not because we want to deceive or distort, that is just human nature for you. The gospel accounts were written decades after the event. i cannot even give such accuracy of detail about things that happened before my eyes last year, so what? Does that mean it did not happen, of course not.

2. Appearing To His Closest Followers

According to Mark's Gospel,

In short, Jesus' closest followers claimed that he appeared to them at various times after his body went missing. Jesus closest followers had everything to lose by his death, and everything to gain by getting people to believe the resurrection story. They had sold all their posessions and left their families and professions to join Jesus' ministry. With his death, that ministry was finished, but the ressurection story brought it back to life. Knowing about this serious conflict of interest, it reasonable to accept their testimony as evidence that the resurrection actually happened?

If TB Joshua died and the top pastors in his church said he appeared to them, would you believe it for one moment?

The Bible does not say that the disciples had sold all their possessions. Yes they made a lot of consecration, and they were very depressed and demoralised as it is clearly written. It takes a lot of smartness, toughness, cunning, and deceit for them to bring up a genius idea of the resurrection. The resurrection BTW was something well known to all that heard Jesus, including the rulers of the Jews. It wasn't an Einstein idea Matthew drummed up during mourning. Also, the disciples were good people, people who preached and lived integrity, holiness, truth, honesty. People who wrote about their own shortcomings. They are not the kind of people that would come up with such a lie. Not by class, not by character. At least, there are things that if they tell me that Seun did, i should be able to say it is possible or say impossible. We all know the life of the disciples and their Christlike teachings even more.

3. His Appearance To 500 Believers

According to 1 Corinthians 15:6,

This would seem like the least weak evidence for the resurrection, due to the sheer number of potential witnesses, until you start to wonder why none of the Gospels mentioned it. Not even imaginative Luke of the robes as white as lightening. Why would all the Gospel writers have choosen to leave out what would have been their strongest evidence? 500 witnesses! Because it didn't happen? Because it was too early to tell such a big lie and get away with it? I don't know.

And even if we want to at issume that it happened, we must not forget that it would be quite easy for any illusionist to stage the appearance of Jesus to people who strongly want to believe that he is still alive. Benny Hinn tells a story about Jesus appearing during one of his crusades, and people believe it.

Again, Jesus told all His disciples to meet Him in Galilee, where it is believed that He ascended before them. This is believed to be the time when around 500 people were there. Nothing strange in this.

Conclusion:
The evidence for the resurrection of Jesus is a bunch of testimonies attributed to people who had every reason to lie during a period when people were far more superstitious and gullible than we are today because they didn't have science. It's not sufficient to convince an objective modern person that a 3 day old corpse whose brain and heart would have decayed considerably actually came back to life, held meetings in person with various people, and then ascended into outer space. Or ... What do you think?

People do not have reasons to lie that dead people are alive. i have never in my life met any such person. How many such person have you met, Seun? On what faith do you believe that people have EVERY reason to lie that a dead person is not dead? They went everywhere saying it. From Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria and other parts of the world. Nobody could dispute it. They were imprisoned and killed, and nobody came to confess or contradict the so called well planned lie.
