MuttleyLaff:Have a great day sir is not a waste, i need it.lol. |
Ranchhoddas:It's a non-essential issue really. It has nothing to do with the subject matter of SALVATION. If you think otherwise, lemme see the Bible verse, thanks. |
Goshen360:This post is not addressed to me and i believe my good brother has taken care of it in response, but its gotten about two or more of my mentions so lemme comment briefly. Refer to this for this portion. 2. The verse you quoted has nothing to do with being saved now, because the same corinthians ARE ALREADY SAVED but was wallowing in sin because of their background and environment.Salvation is not for groups, the individual is saved. Paul rebuked the fornicator referred to, he was not saved. 3. The only thing that can make a christian loose his or her salvation is by denouncing the one he or she is in, that is THE LORD.You say ONLY like you are the one in charge of the gates of Heaven. Or is the book of life inside your phone? On what basis do you speak? 4. Sins doesn't UNBORN AGAIN a Christian. Sin and sacrifice for sins had been dealt with and paid once and for all times. When Christ returns, he's not returning to come deal with sins or sacrifice for sins no more....SAYS THE WORD OF GOD.Where? 5. Ask yourself, does every sin or sins you committed but didn't even know it was a sin UNBORN AGAIN you?Ask the Bible instead, you could be wrong, you know? 6. Paul, didn't pamper the sins of the corinthians and we are not supposed to pamper sins in the church of Christ but Paul NEVER implied the Corinthians loose their salvation because of sin and later regained it back, rather he was hard on them and they REPENTED....that's what the verse you quoted is talking about. What was their sin? 7. The word "save, salvation, saved" are used to mean different meaning within its context. You cannot just lift bible verse from its context just because it mentioned save, saved or salvation, you have to follow the contextual meaning. That's one of the damages or error Image123 committed in his first response.Okay, for instance? |
Ranchhoddas:Lol, i will come back to this. Anyways, the Bible is better than your source which you said is YOU. Is it moral to wear a green dress or a red dress? |
Ranchhoddas:Noah and his family were not jews. The flood took place during the time of Noah. Were you ever born again? |
HardMirror: HardMirror:Look at this fellow oh, smh for you. What then is the purpose of your thread, about the information guaranteed to make people with common sense throw their bibles away? You are saying the miraculous angle is what you have been waiting for all along? You do not know what you want/need evidently. i'll tell you what you need, JESUS. He is the only one that satisfies the longing soul, and He still says to come unto Him, all that are weary and laden with such madness as yours. He promises rest again. Were you not the same fellow supposedly Debunking the miracle angle less than a week ago? Suddenly, you have received revelation that the miracle angle explains it and is the sincere thing to do. Ranch, shey you dey see your boy? Take care of him well before something else oh. Here again are some facts you should take cognisance of next time before going on an ignorant rant like these you did on this thread. 1. Remember this post and selah until you see light. 2. None of your ridiculous calculation is needed to understand the bible. 3. Paperbag/nylon covers material fine no matter the weight. It's the reason why we say "tear rubber", duh. 4. There are at least four science inclined thoughts that support possibility of such magnitude of flooding. You will do well to update your poor knowledge of things.(a) The Ice Age. (b) Precipitation and formation of most rocks. (c). The presence of fauna and flora fossils buried in rocks. (d). Formation of many Igneous rocks. 5. Gen 7:20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. Gen 6:15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. Whatever measure they used to calculate cubit, which obviously is different from what we may use today, fifteen cubits was higher than the mountains, and the height of the ark was thirty cubits. So it was a very very very big ark. 6. Penguins are aquatic animals. They can survive well in water, they did not need to be in the ark. 7. Noah was NEVER asked to single handedly build the ark. No Bible portion states or implies or alludes to this preposterous and poor thinking process. i've said the seven points previously and much more. Ruminate on these and don't misbehave again. |
Ranchhoddas:What do you need? |
Ranchhoddas:What Jewish family? |
HardMirror:Well, the Bible does not teach us so, the Bible enjoins christians to pray for others and love others even their enemies. There is nothing wrong in thanking God for your life. Most people i know are very quick and forward to state that they are not using their testimony to mock or gloat over others. Lam 3:22 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. Lam 3:23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Mar 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Mat 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. If you follow the Bible more than following men, you should have less problems, looking unto Jesus the Author and End of our faith. |
Gombs:Thinking hardly helps progress in spiritual matters. thinking makes many an atheist. When your understanding of God is based MORE on thinking, you will not get it. fact. |
Ranchhoddas:They are not mutually exclusive. God is the Creator of all things. He did it all, from rainfall to sunshine, to sunrise, to childbirth. They are all the works of His hands. Do you want me to quote Bible for you, or you will do the quotings? |
Ranchhoddas:You thought? Well, your thought is wrong, no portion of the Bible says that. Also, the Bible does not say that christians should not accept evolution, did it? The miracle of evolution is itself what brought out the over 7billion humans we have today from a family of 8. What are you talking about again? You are ignoring your born again stories, na that one important pass oh. Were you ever born again? |
ValentineMary:There simply is no such place or verse in the Bible, i have already stated that. There is nothing to prove in a false accusation. You made the false accusation, the onus is on you to prove the accusation true. The Bible says no such thing, you and others simply imagined it. Here is the text you gave again, it says nothing about any 6,000years or about the earth's age being related to man's age. Eat the humble pie, and come off your old/archaic assumptions and empty presumptions. Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Gen 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. |
ValentineMary:What you or anyone else wrote about geneology has NOTHING to do with the age of the earth. The Bible no where ties the age of the earth to man's geneology. Read the Bible instead of hopelessly believing your copy and paste research. You have a Bible, don't you? |
Lilbrown007:i heard/read your silly self the first time, no need repeating rubbish. You have no historical evidence for Jesus but you have/found one for Yeshua. yawnnnnnnnnns. |
Lilbrown007:stop embarrassing yourself. Nobody mentioned any gospel. Are you hallucinating? |
ValentineMary:Oh, so it INDIRECTLY siad it? You are waking up, i pray you will wake up. The Bible said no such thing, neither did it imply so. i stand by that and that was my initial position before you went literally hippo on me due to your misinformed research. |
Ranchhoddas:You've got to be kidding me. The Bible nowhere talks against evolution in the context i described it. i have always believed in evolution in such a context, no adaptations though not wrong if anyone adapts to the truth. It's unfortunate you misunderstood and misunderstand the Bible. |
promise10:What is the meaning of "once and for all"? Where does this appear in the Bible, is it just a nice sounding phrase or cliche? Were the Israelites saved once and for all from Egypt? Did they perish in the wilderness? And our STEADFAST FAITH in what gave us our first salvation, is what KEEPS US SAVED! So, when you say "being saved", that should mean BEING KEPT saved which ONLY happens through FAITH ALONE.Very true, and the Bible warns us to continue in that faith because it is POSSIBLE to discontinue. Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. Now, what "..WILL be saved" should mean is that WE WERE saved, WE ARE BEING KEPT saved, so that shall NOT PARTAKE(shall) OF the judgment of hell fire AT THE JUDGEMENT DAY.i believe we are in perfect agreement concerning this, and that is what i referred Jo to, and said that he |
petra1:Okay, you teach it for the total man, whatever that means. What were we discussing again, the partial man? |
SirWere:Very true, or do you have reasons to think contrary? |
ValentineMary:The Bible no where gives or implies the age of the earth. This is where you should have stopped your post. Which of the verses above talks about the age of the earth or its birth certificate? You are the wrong one. The Bible says nothing about the age of the earth. Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. That beginning is not the beginning of Adam(the human race) described in the rest of the chapter. Any real scholar knows this, smh for your copy and paste. SELAH |
HardMirror:Thank goodness, in other words, you believe that God did it miraculously? Saves you from all that wrong math. |
Ranchhoddas:Speciation is the evolutionary formation of new biological species. Context, remember someone mis-said "There were more animals and plants 5000years ago than now. Millions of animals and plants are already extinct." He ignored the evolutionary formation of new biological species for those 5000 years. You do accept that you were never born again, right? |
Lilbrown007:Not playing on your intelligence, just testing it so that you are sure of what you are saying. Evidently, you believe that Paul existed because some people said so, yes or no? |
Lilbrown007:Your copy and paste research is terrible, get proper education and stop embarrassing yourself. |
KenOne:Lere is a drop out, Aluko said it to his face on Channelstv the other day. |
No iota of safety or quality standards in these state's so called projects. When people die or lose limbs needlessly, they start to blame one tree or water or god that needed to be appeased. mtschewwwwwweeeeeeewwwwww. |
Gombs:Thank you. Here was the scripture i mentioned. Luk 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Not hoping to be too technical or long BTW, remission of sins is the payment for sins, done by Jesus Christ. Jesus has remitted or paid for the sins of the whole world on Calvary more than 2000years ago. However, that alone does not bring salvation, else every sinner would be saved already since their sins have been paid for on the Cross. It is repentance that brings in forgiveness of sins. Once you repent, you are forgiven your sins. So, Jesus does/did the remitting, the individual does the repenting and is forgiven. It is these that lead to salvation. Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Act 5:31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. Repentance by man, and remission already done by Jesus both play significant part in salvation. |
petra1:We are saved in different times and contexts, i am sure you know that and teach it. We have been saved, we are being saved and we will be saved. If you have any issues with that, inform me. Salvation is simply deliverance, semantics really though people like to get technical with greek and other such definitions explaining atonement, propitiation, remission, justification, salvation, regeneration and other such process that accompany being born again. The jollyride doesn't interest me, i like to keep things simple. If someone falls into a well, another time, he needs to be saved again. He is not saved in the well. |
Lilbrown007:You are not blind, are you? Check what i quoted, i did not misquote you. Your camaraderie should not make you literally blind, should it? |
donnffd:Speak for yourself maybe. Most atheists here were NEVER christians in the first place. The uniqueness of the Christian faith continues to haunt unbelievers till eternity, stay there and be licking boils. |
