dalaman:You are mixing issues and largely out of context. Worshipping other gods by who and in what context? What is sexism or stereotyping or discrimination. Are you aware of the FACT that the male is different from the female? Are we discriminating by having different toilets and restrooms. Are you the man in/of your house or both of you? Is that discrimination? What is slavery, and in what context does the Bible support it? These are some of the context in which you should elaborate before making blanket statements. |
dalaman:Of course it is necessary that God is jealous in the context He claims to be. Truth has to be exclusive, and exclusivity demands that one be 'biased' to a particular view. Every other view becomes wrong in that context. You cannot serve God and other gods. 2+2 has to be 4. 4 retains the right to be jealous when you bring up another figure, because the truth is 4. The jealousy God is against is vain envy, not being content with your position or possession because you are coveting another person's position or possession. That is a wrong jealousy and the Bible tells us not to be. But you are 'jealous' and rightly so over your wife or husband, or children, or position. If you are the head or master of a place or office or establishment, and someone else is taking your place, of course you correct things, because it is yours. It is different from seeing somebody else's car or bank account or cloths and wanting to take it from them or becoming unhappy about it. Get the context right please. Children of God belong to God and have a covenant with God, and God will very well jealously guard that agreement and redemption and possession. God is a God of war and vengeance because He is Judge/law enforcement. Law enforcement is not child's play. It sometimes requires force, constraints, detention. These are not actions taken on lawful citizens or everybody but on offenders and defaulters and they have to be done. Justice is an essential and critical part of the human society, we are not animals. Punishment is not good, prison is not good, but these are necessary. The justice departments have to confine people, deny them of freedom and of access, and sometimes carry out capital punishment. That is justice and these are not exciting or joyful things to do. i do not like that any human being go to prison or be denied anything or fail an exam/test for instance. But these things have to happen. A lazy student will likely fail, even though the F grade is not good, and prison is not good. In the same vein, God realizes and sort of regrets these things. He is not sadistic about punishing people but there has to be justice and fairness, and a reaping of what you sow. So when you quote Jeremiah 42, read and know the full context, then ask questions. The children of Israel sinned severally and offended God for decades, and then God punished them. But He was not happy that He punished them, it is as straight as that in summary. |
authenticated:Fayose, President Jonathan, Okupe and co are all watching intently and with great sorrow. The chief cause of sorrow is that they want president Jonathan to go to Chatham too, but that is like suicide. |
NoreenUG:You hear what you want to hear. But come to think of it, 160 degrees u-turn is great. |
aguiyi:Eeyah, you need exposure. Do yourself a favor and research about the Chatham house and people who have spoken there. Wikipedia sef is still free online i guess. |
babestella:And you know this for fact how? |
aminashy:This one is likely one of those Sure-p jobs the government is claiming to have provided. What tangible difference between this fellow and those programmed female suicide bombers? |
Eluwilussit:President Jonathan himself informed us that Boko haram are his family, that they are in his government and cabinet, that their actions are mere excesses, that terrorism is a normal thing, and that boko haram activities are only in the fringes of Nigeria. I do not condone the insecurity, the massive unemployment, the present fallen economy and devaluation of the naira, the no electricity and the impunity of corruption bedeviling the country. This administration has |
They no get better phone abi better megapixel camera for London? All the pictures sef. |
dalaman:Those are not diversionary actions but straight questions you refuse to answer. Your question required them for you to understand the answer. It you insist, what God did is good, yes. There has to be checks and balances, and punishment for wrong doing. God is the Judge in charge. Is judgment and justice good, yes. |
dalaman:The nature of God portrayed in the bible is good and consistent, what you lack is perspective. The Judge or law enforcement can do things that civilians and co cannot and should not do. |
Eluwilussit:No problem. Good governance is what i want and celebrate, not democracy or military. Shagari didn't give good governance, neither has Jonathan. INEC is satisfied with Buhari's academic results presented and so are many Nigerians. A result obtained or not obtained about 54yrs ago cannot be an issue compared to the insecurity, the massive unemployment, the fallen economy and devaluation of the naira, the no electricity and the impunity of corruption bedeviling the country. |
Ahmeduana:It is the Jonathan administration fault. They have condoned and encourage and celebrate corruption. A philosophy that says if you put goat and yam together, the goat will eat, and that they would not punish corrupt people because no one will remain. Then they go gnashing teeth to the international community to help them fight illegal oil bunkering by not buying oil from thieves. |
Eluwilussit:Oh, in that case, you are implying that EVERY military man is not fit to talk about democracy. That is a most ridiculous position to take. Democracy is a government by the people, wait for the polls patiently. What do you want Buhari to achieve for himself that he hasn't? A man who has at least 12 million people wanting him to lead them is no failure, where did you pull out your criteria from? |
linuxuser:If it helps you, they are at worst better and smarter thieves compared to surrounding yourself with convicted criminals and prisoners like Fayose, Fani Kayode, Alamesia and Bode George. The people you mentioned have not been caught and every allegations remain mere allegations. The law is very clear except you are one of the unruly, garrulous juveniles we're looking for as scapegoat, a person remains innocent until proven guilty. |
Eluwilussit: nnachukz:Lol, Buhari has been practicing democracy for at least two decades now. He has been democratically elected to run for president in four different political parties and has followed all the democratic process and protocols than any other candidate. The Nigerian law and constitution qualifies him, so who are you to disqualify him? The real hypocrisy is to mischievously pick 20 months only out of over 70yrs of a life to draw conclusions. If president Jonathan is not fit or competent enough to talk at Chatham house where real leaders talk, abeg allow Buhari to do us proud again. Nigeria has been too silent and morose looking on the international community despite always moving in carnival mode with the most delegates at all occasions. Let Buhari lead and show how it is done. |
Forget that man called FFK, see him running mouth against GEJ earlier and praising Ameachi. http://youtube.com/watch?v=1zzYbtGCyn4&itct=CDcQpDAYACITCJLu5OuX_sMCFdGdHAodFBEB_1IUQlJFQUtJTkcgTkVXUyBCdWhhcmk%3D&hl=en&client=mv-google&gl=NG |
ucheheart:Wow. |
ucheheart:Why do we have this mindset of blaming every other person except ourselves for our problems? If it is not opposition or APC, then we blame white man, or say God is the one punishing us. Whose fault that we depleted our resources and reserves and refused to save in time of plenty? Is it the white that said our source of foreign exchange income should be over 95% crude oil based? |
Slynonny:Hope you are aware that somebody or group of people just pumped in over $1 Billion for nothing then. Even in ordinary organizations, heads roll for that. This government has been too docile and ineffective, things should change. |
This is a result of poor governance in the country. If the country was okay, we would not be so divided on issues like religion, tribe, federal school graduate or state school, University or Polytechnic, who do you know, where do you stay etc. We need to pray and vote for better leaders. |
ayokellany:Lol, and they will be patting themselves in the back with FOI achievement. FOI fraud on information. How can ASUP strike when election is near? If GEJ wins and they try such threat, they will stay home for months. |
Paul's christian conduct/behaviour to political leaders. Paul the apostle, he does not need much of an introduction, does he? Paul was a passionate follower of God and of Jesus Christ. Paul lived in the time of the 12 disciples/apostles of Jesus Christ. They knew each other and shared common and mutual fellowship and respect for each other. Paul happened to meet personal with many prominent political leaders in his time. So that apart from preaching it, he actually practiced what he was preaching. He says, Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. When Paul is referring in this verse to "the higher powers", or "the powers that be", make no mistake, he is not referring to the Holy Spirit or to Jesus Christ. He is not even referring to the church or the elders in the church or Peter and the other apostles. He is referring to the political leaders of his time. This is exciting and intriguing as he is primarily addressing the Romans, the people of Rome. The powers that be, the Higher powers are the Caesars and governors of the time. The political class of the time were by no means born again or christian, or even what we will call nice people, both secularly or religiously. To Caesar. The Caesar(s) that ruled the Roman Empire during the time of the early christians until the fall of the Roman Empire were Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius and Nero. They all had a bad history. Did i say bad? Scratch that please, they all had an evil history, they were not nice neither were they demonstrators of any of the fruits of the Spirit. It is therefore most surprising that Paul says to the christians that "every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God". Paul himself appealed to Caesar, he took his case to Caesar as judge. He recognised and regarded Caesar. Historians say that the Caesar of this time of Paul's trial was Emperor Nero, that is, that Paul actually went on trial before Nero. Whether Nero or Augustus or the others, they were all wicked, tyrannical and despotic rulers. Nero is famed for persecuting christians so intensely. We are told that about 14 of the New testament's 27books were written during the time of Nero's emperorship. Nero was so brutal we are told that he murdered his own wife and mother as well as his step brother. Nero burned christians as human torches to light his evening garden parties. If you think any present day leader is ungodly, Nero seems to surpass them in that bid. But the Bible says that every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God. Wow, just wow. Titus 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, Paul writing to a christian leader, tells him to remind other christians to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates. This is the biblical conduct of christians, this is a work of grace not of sense or logic. To the governors. Paul met with at least two of the governors in his time as documented in the Bible. He met with Felix and Festus. Act 24:26 He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the more often, and communed with him. Act 24:27 But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' room: and Felix, willing to show the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound. Governor Felix was a corrupt man, looking for Paul to bribe him. Paul had respect for him, never reviling him or lampooning him or attacking his person. He did not even speak evil of him. Consider how we talk of our corrupt governors, presidents and leaders. Do we revile them? Paul referred to Festus as most noble. Act 26:25 But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but I speak forth the words of truth and soberness. Here is Festus that had left Paul in prison just for the pleasure of his accusers. Here is a man just told Paul in the front of everyone that he was mad and besides himself. Act 25:9 But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me? To Herod Agrippa. King Agrippa was the Herod of Paul's time. He was related to the Herods that killed many babies when Jesus was born, the one that mocked Jesus and killed John baptist, and the one that killed James the disciple, one of the twelve. Agrippa was the brother of Bernice by the way. The words on the street was that Agrippa was sleeping with his sister Bernice and they went about openly as a couple. Remember the other Herod that had his brother's wife Herodias? This was the sort of party and family that Agrippa belonged and operated in. Imagine having to talk to such a person or of or about such a person. What would you say and how would you say it? Would you lean towards the rumours, would you focus on the truths about his life and living or be fixed like Paul on the truth of the Word of God? Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to speak evil of no man. Would you even call him king, with all the pomp and pride. Paul looked at everything he knew about Agrippa, a miserable sinner headed for an eternity in hell, and among other things said. Act 26:2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews: Act 26:29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds. He said "I think myself happy". that in itself is some sort of miracle, given the circumstances and context. But anyway, he presented his case before the KING Agrippa and even wished he and everyone listening were christians and saved by grace. No wonder he could elsewhere say that we have the mind of Christ. That is definitely not the human mind, as God's ways are not our ways. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ. |
Lildreezy:You are attacking the messenger, the video evidence is very clear. Your threatening me or resort to violence does not change the straight and clear evidence provided. Simply watch the video and the BP. Omisore accepted and agreed that the audio tape is authentic. Fayose and the Minister for police affairs also said the tape is real, please get informed. |
lovepraise:It would help you if you also see the video. Stop using God to rubberstamp your ignorance. |
alfred5: Lildreezy:The poverty in the land is killing. Either these people cannot afford data to watch the YouTube video or network is so bad and mediocre despite about 15yrs of GSM. All we get are bombardment with silly text messages. The video the OP posted shows Mr Omisore confirming the authenticity of the ekitigate audio tape. Unfortunately, the President and Obanikoro are still blatantly denying the obvious. |
PEREP:i should tell you one of the lies? It seems you either lack a conscience or are ignorant of happenings and facts. FFK did not come with facts but with outright lies, half truths and propaganda. Here are some though in case you somehow missed them. Some of his lies, half truths and propaganda are in green below. He said that the APC is planning to rig- This is a mere unfounded assertion, he lacked and lacks a shred of proof, propaganda. He said that he did not know the school Amaechi ever went to if he ever went to school.- This is a lie, even later in the same interview, he mistakenly told us that Amaechi went to University. He said that Amaechi became governor without winning election.- This is an half truth as Amaechi actually won a second term election to be governor. Also, the Supreme Court decision is a lawful and legal process in this country. He said that Amaechi told the world that he was prepared to do anything to become the Vice Presidential candidate of APC.- Where was i when Amaechi was busy telling the world this? He said that Amachi closed the courts for one year- He forgot to tell us and the Anchorman had to remind him that it was the Federal Courts that were closed by the FG, and he continued to insist on this point which is at best an half truth. He said that Amaechi appointed his psychiatrist as commisioner because of personal mental problem.- This is an unfounded allegation, a big lie of a propaganda. Amaechi has no such public medical conditions. He said that he was miserable all the time that he was with the APC.- Of course, this is an exaggeration and a lie. He said that the most decent people in the APC are people from PDP.- It is generally acclaimed that the most decent person in the APC is Buhari, he is not from the PDP. He said that it is habitual with the APC to rig.- Unfounded allegation, actually it is the PDP that has been caught severally by the courts and recently on tape rigging elections. He said that Buhari threatened violence if he should lose.- This remains an unfounded assertion and unproven allegation by chiefly the PDP. Instead we have actually and very recently heard PDP members like Asari Dokubo, Jimi Agbaje and Fayose threatening violence if they lose. These are clear proof, not some debatable 2001 or so newspaper cut. He said that APC brought religion and ethnicity into politics.- Whatever his timeline might be, 1960, 1979, 1993, 1999, 2014, he is lying. We have the Vice President Sambo on video more than once telling people to vote for PDP because PDP is a muslim party. He has said that at least twice already this year on national TV. President Jonathan has been visiting all his so called brethren in church looking for votes. PDP has been the one reminding the north on ethnic lines to wait for 2019 both in the dailies and on other media. They have been asking that the south south must have 8years. They have being most ethnic and religious focused and bent on heating up and dividing people on those lines than ever seen in recent times. He said "don't question my convictions"- Here is an hypocrite who in the same 20mins or so criticized another person of not answering questions. He blatantly refused to answer the anchorman Seun when asked about why he talked against the PDP when in the APC and he's now back. He said DON'T QUESTION MY CONVICTIONS. He said that Buhari said he will spread Sharia throughout every part of this country, and that muslims should only vote for muslims. This is a bare faced lie and an unproven allegation, propaganda conceived by the PDP. In fact, it is Vice President Sambo who has said that northerners should vote for PDP because it is a muslim party. He said that APC is a christian party having VP Candidate Osinbajo, and their national chairman Oyegun as christians. He said that Buhari looted PTF, and that the FG then had decided to prosecute Buhari and that he would have been in jail.- This is a lie and a mere baseless allegation. Obasanjo disproved this allegation recently, Obasanjo had the reports of the probe, not FFK. He said that 2.8billion went missing under Buhari's watch in 1977. Cheap propaganda and beer parlor talk. He said that Gani Fawehinmi was the only lawyer that attended the Buhari Administration military tribunals.- This is an half truth, he should have told the un-informed that the NBA boycotted the tribunals. He said that Nigeria was VOTED the biggest economy in Africa and that this has never happened before.- First, it was not a voting, it was simply rebasing, new calculations take into account changes in production and consumption since the last time the exercise was carried out in 1990, including an added focus on communications and the movie industry. Nigeria has been the giant of Africa long before 1990, it is bad governance that has kept us in the so called doldrums, it is not a big or tangible achievement. He said that nobody is giving us arms in fighting Boko Haram, and that beating Boko Haram is next to a miracle.- Chad and other countries have being helping us, they are not nobodies. We should quit sulking foolishly that the US troops are not in Nigeria, we can and should have quelled the insurgence a long time ago. Beating Boko Haram is not a miracle, it is unfortunate that the DG of the President Jonathan campaign thinks it is a miracle and attempts to sell it to Nigerians on national TV as a miracle. He said that we have made gains in the economy and that we never had gains in infrastructural development and workers salary until now.- This is a bare faced lie. Depletion of the foreign exchange reserve and crude reserves are not gains. The Naira exchanging for an all time low of over 205naira to a dollar is not gain, devaluing the naira is not gain. If he is saying we never had gains in infrastructural development and workers salary until now, what again is his timeline, 1960? When? He said that Jega said it would have been difficult to proceed with elections. Lie, Jega said several times that INEC was ready for elections. In his final words, he said PDP are not the ones that said that they cannot lose election, their position is fixed and clear. In the next few sentences he contradicted himself insisting that PDP cannot lose the election. His direct words were that "THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, APC will get the beating of their lives all over the country." Evidently, FFK lacks credibility. |
dalaman:i already told you, deeds are not primary determinants of a Person being good. Good is measured by the God standard. i have asked you and your ilk if Stalin and co are good because they did one good deed or another, you have being pussyfooting instead. Are you saying there are no good deeds found in the Bible done by God? |
dalaman:Oh, lunatics and psychopaths are Gods? i never knew. Can we really compare God to Hitler using the Bible? God created heaven and earth, created all humans, created the Sun and the rain, the fruits and the plants and the animals, all the mineral resources. All these according to the Bible too. Lemme not start with His miracles, His book, His love and mercy and forgiveness, all in the Bible too. Are you prepared to use the Bible to compare God to anybody or god? |
dalaman:When you say a God like, who do you compare Him to? You forgot to state. |
dalaman:You want His deeds reeled out? |
frank317:i actually expected you to run away earlier. You can have nothing to say, because there is nothing for you to say than repeat boring copy and pasted ideas. Think for yourself and give us something more reasonable than trying to force us to believe your words. |
