To the other two passages Matthew 26v64 and Matthew 10v23. These and such-like passages are pointers to the divinity of Jesus, His omniscience, and His personality as the WORD. He used words like He was the Word. His words in the gospels reveal that He knew the gospels would be written, and He spoke not just to one, but more than one, even to all.
He spake to satan while people around could only see Peter. He spoke to spirits while people around only saw sick folk. He spoke to demons and forces while people around only saw raging waters and the insa.ne. He spoke to Nicodemus in a speciality that speaks to every man till today, saying "you MUST be born again". When He spoke to his 12disciples and the high priest(as you suppose, not imagining that 'you' could be plural as seen in the Amplified), He was speaking to all INCLUDING YOU. Revelation 1v7 is more emphatic. It says "Behold He cometh with clouds, and EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM " etc including mazaje, not just the high priest. It's not limited to the death of the high priest. It's an event you will see, keep waiting. I Am

^you're simply believing what you choose to believe in exercising your freewill. The passage is clear enough for the sincere reader.
Question: tell us, WHEN shall these things be? mark 13v4
Answer: of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son. Mark 13v32
If you have good study materials, you may also observe that verse 24 to 31 is a paragraph. And that Jesus was referencing the generation to experience the events in the paragraph. How rational is it to state VERILY in verse 30, and then go on from verse 32-37 to state UNCERTAINTY if it's the same event and people?

Thank you. Neither did He say that the period will be before His disciples die, or that it would be 2000years ago. He said it severally that no man knew the time. It would be contradictory to emphasize that He told them the time.

Mar 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Mar 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the TIME is.
Mar 13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Mar 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
Mat 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Hour there signifying period, not necessarily quarter to four or stuff like that. There are a dozen more scriptures that clearly state that the time is unknown, or if you prefer, undetermined. I would not bore you with them. Let's look through some of the scripture you've quoted though.

I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Mark 13:30
'This generation' refers to the generation that would experience all that is talked about in mark 13. Things like
Mar 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Mar 13:25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
These are yet to happen to the best of my knowledge. I'd explain the other two later, or perhaps on phone. My computer battery is down.

March 2 1Peter 2v12

1Peter 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Believers in Christ have a lot of work to do. there is a general but wrong implication in christian circles that once you've believed Christ, you have entered into a position of doing nothing. A false rest, a laziness, sloth and disuse of the powers and love bestowed upon us. The Bible affirms that God gave us power, as many as received Jesus. God is not a spendthrift, there is purpose why He has given us powers. We are not saved into the whatever will be will be kingdom. God will do it all if it is His will, NO!. this is gross irresponsibility and gracelessness, or frustration of grace. these has led to misbehaviour of supposed christians, dressing anyhow and talking anyhow. Doing whatever, under the guise that grace covers them.
There is another sect that does something, or more aptly put, claims to do something. But all they do is only between themselves and God. They'd say "I have a personal fellowship/relationship with God". If you would ask them what about this, or why that, they would tell you "God understands". you look for fruits in them and you cannot find it. You look for godliness, but it appears only to be revealed to themselves. their own works, according to them, is before God only. But Today, God is calling us all to let our lights SO shine before men, yes, before men.
Don't come with questionable actions, reactions and behaviours and think sanctimoniously that you are right in all honesty to God, without respect to your fellowmen. Let your lifestyle be honest among the gentiles, even among unbelievers. In church, at home, in the market, at your workplace, be honest. Let them behold your good works. If there are not seeing it, there is a problem. Let them behold your good works, and glorify God. Earth is given us for the glory of God. Let God be glorified through you today and always.

Yepa, you sef wan chop seed offering my brother goshen, you go chop mango seed, i fit look for like one thousand pieces oh, lol.
On OP, don't mind me, i'll pass sha. I still think Jesus operated in the NT. His forgiveness of sin/sinners were NT based. Faith in Him, which He often required was NT based. Even His laws (e.g "ye have heard,. . .but I say") were NT based. It would be IMPOSSIBLE to follow Him in the OT mode. Christ NT was revealed in the gospels, just that they were not understood until the vail was rent in twain. We now understand the gospels because of the rest of the NT. And we now understand the rest of the NT because of the gospels, it's a kind of symbiosis. We think we'd understand them apart because we've read them all. But note that even the disciples did not understand, and the scribes and pharisees who interpreted the law were often left baffled. Like i said though, i'll pass. It's been great fellowshipping with you guys on these lines.

@gosh
Happy sunday. You're yet to give the significance iasked for na. On genesis and Job. My point is that, on your logic, Matthew to John are OT books because the events happened before Christ's ascension(when ATY, the NT started). On that basis too, Genesis and Job events occured before the old covenant started, so they are not old testament books. i don't think God works according to our time thoughts.

Hey, my brothers, don't fight na. Gosh, Olaa is my very good brother o, take time. Olaa, Gosh is my very good brother o, be careful.
Gosh, you've not told me/us the relevance of this 'mind boggle' BH. I initially saw the 'blood shed' in that passage. The point i wanted to amplify was that Jesus said "this cup IS the new testament". 'Is' is present. He could have simply said 'will be' i.e "this cup will be the new testament". At the point He was speaking, He believed and acted new testament. His forgiveness of sins during His ministry was based on the new testament. He saw Himself already slain from the foundation of the world. Time is in His hands, and He's definitely not bugged down by it. That same verse says "the blood which IS shed", not 'the blood which will be shed". Jesus was already living and acting in the new testament. Faith in Him was required right from start, that's new testament. God is not limited by our understanding of time. He owns time and eternity. In your logic now, it means Genesis and Job are not old testament? Hope i'm not sounding harsh sounding, pls inform me if i need to tone down.

@goshen
i understand your point like i said earlier. But you have to not that your point is not set in stone. Other 'deeper studies' would produce varying timelines and arrangements of the Bible. Some will give you seven, some even twelve. It's called 'dispensationalism' ithink. None is right than the other IMHO. They are just means to improve Bible study, like the division into chapters, verses, paragraphs, headers.
Not to waste much time, going to the core of the OP, Are Matthew, Mark, Luke and John old testament or new. What are the criteria for saying they are old or new?
If we say they were old testament scriptures, questions , pertinent questions, must arise. Questions that include but not limited to "On whose authority do we say they are old testament?" Is it on scriptural authority? NO.
"When were they written, in what era or dispensation?" They were written during the New Testament dispensation.
- VERY IMPORTANTLY, "What are the implications that these books are Old testament?" Are they less relevant than Acts to Revelation? Are the commands, instructions and warnings to be taken less serious and old-fashioned?
-Not to drawww issues, MOST IMPORTANTLY, "What does the scripture have to say about the time of these gospels?" i'll quote two scriptures that are worthy of your note/consideration.
Luke 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
1Corinth 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
Many say the testament(new) was effected at calvary. some say when Christ's blood was shed, some like 5solas say when Christ died, some say 3days after i.e resurrection, some like you GOSH say 50days after i.e pentecost. But here we see JESUS saying "THIS IS THE NEW TESTAMENT". Do we postpone it for Him on the basis of our theology or take Him at His Word? So when did the new testament commence? At the supper, or at calvary or, at Christ;s death, or at Pentecost? If we take only Luke 22v20. Is ti then that Luke chaptr one to chapter 22v19 are OT and verse 20 to the end are NT? THAT's ONE.
TWO, we mostly agree that the OT is the law and the prophets. The old testament books are referred to as the aw and the prophets. Now, consider this statement from JESUS again.
Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
In lay general understanding, Jesus is here saying that the OT stops at John the baptist. On the basis of this, the gospels pass as new testament. John is just a peripheral intro in all the gospels. The New covenant is already in effect in the eyes of Jesus. That's why He could say THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AMONG YOU.

Good, so you've never been in God's presence, neither have you ever served Him in His temple. You're not in good position then to fully ascertain your experience of Him.
Singing and worship in RCCG parish A would be different from singing and worship in RCCG parish B. Many things influence that e.g instrument, instrumentalist, worship leader, attendance etc. Singing and worship in RCCG is different from singing and worship in Synagogue. Singing and worship in S.West Nigeria is different from singing and worship in N.East China. Singing and worship in christiandom is different from singing and worship in muslimdom. My drift being, your singing and worship experience is different from the one in Heaven. Heaven's is pure heavenly, literally.
