Ade9k: Hello all, pls I need clarification on my work experience. I'm about to create my EE profile and I don't understand how to go about this.
I have work experience in 2 different nocs in the same company.
Aug 2020- Jan 2021 Noc 1422 (skill type C) Feb 2021 -till date Noc 2171 (skill type A)
I understand that skill type C isn't eligible for the FSW, and I would like to claim points for my current position which is NOC 2171, can I mention this current Noc only in my work experience section and cite the other one (Noc 1422) in personal history?
Thank you Yes. You are on the right track. |

dearie: Dear Gurus,
Please I need your advice. I put up a property for sale, hoping to use the proceeds to fund my study in Canada. However, Admission came out before the sale was concluded with just about N2m in my account. I intend paying the full fees for first Semester and having another 10,000CAD in GIC for upkeep and still have about 10m in my account by the time of application. Please what are my chances since its a lump sum or do I defer the admission till Winter? Its a 2 year programme starting next fall. You should be fine. I had a similar case( sold a property). I paid my first-year tuition + 10k GIC. Just show documents to back up your claims that you sold a property. |

ednut1: biometrics clause in your letter was waived for many during covid times and former biometrics was used. They will update your profile if they want you to redo biometrics. Your former medicals has expired and no longer valid. Oh, thank you. I had the medical exam 4 months ago tho. |

Dimple10: actually it's the other way around. Biometrics is valid for 10yrs. medicals you may need to redo The fourth bullet point says I have to give my biometrics again if submitting a permanent resident application. For the medicals, I know it is valid for a year, I just want to be sure if I can use it again or book an upfront medical for mid July.

Please can I use the e-Medical sheet I submitted with my study permit for Express Entry. It expires Feb 2023.
I know I have to do another Biometrics for my permanent resident application but I'm not sure about the medical exam. |

Martinkev: Hello, house!
I have an issue. I'm expecting that I'll get ITA in July, as my score is above 500. However, my POF has only been in the account for 2 months, and I know that the average duration required is 6 months. What can I do now? If you get an ITA by July, you'd probably submit by August. That is 4 months from now and since your POF is 2 months old, it should be 6 months old then or roughly 6 months old. You should be fine. Don’t touch the funds till then. My POF is also 2 months and 2 weeks old. |

Prettiepearlz: Your reference should state that you worked for a year so if you can get the employer to write a letter saying that you worked for one year because the last three weeks for Nysc is considered as leave. Please double check when your first and last payment was received to do the math and be sure you haven’t lumped up the dates. Your letter should start from when the month you camped. All you need to show your work experience is just your reference letter. Per adventure your bank statement is requested, provide the bank statement alongside an explanation letter showing the lump sum in October is your payment for two months. Sounds good. Thank you. |

rume: Assume I know nothing about NYSC and decide to compare your reference letter with your submitted account statement. If you think I'd question the claims on your letter and maybe reduce the period I think you worked there then maybe avoid creating such a possibility. You can show other months instead, it must not be six months. That said, I don't think you'd be in problems if you go ahead and submit it the way you mentioned but if you are the kind of person who analyses things and asks these kind of questions you have asked, for your own peace of mind, show other months. Alright. Thank you |

Biko people, I have questions concerning my NYSC work experience. I worked Nov 2019 - Oct 2020 but the last credit from the government was in Sep 2020(they paid for Sep and Oct at the same time-this was 66k).
I intend submitting my salary statement of account to show the last 6 salary payments. I hope them seeing the last payment was made in Sep wouldn't raise eyebrows?
And apart from the reference letter and SOA, is there anything else to submit. No payslips for NYSC job. I have few pictures of me while I worked at the school tho.
PS: No ITA yet o. Just gathering my documents against July or whenever they resume. I don too wait since early 2021. |

zmande: Hi,
To be honest, I am expecting a very large lump sum in my account because it's a loan though it won't show in my bank statement that it is a loan. Is there anything in particular I can say in my SOP to explain why it is so? Do you have any concrete reasons I can say why I have a lump sum? Any idea will be highly appreciated. You can do a gift deed and explain the relationship between you and the loanee. |

Jacklens: I need some clarifications: Can someone book for Biometrics before submitting or immediately submitting application before IRCC sends notification? Technically, you can book for biometrics before you get the instructions from IRCC but you won't be able to go for the biometrics without the instruction letter. So, it is almost pointless booking early. |

Muzansama: I paid agent to interest to use their business account as my sponsor but they tricked me and used fake bank statement This so called agents ehn. You can try the countries in the EU(especially the small countries that don't share details with Canada). You can also try UK too, but them go put eye for your file since they'll have the details of your Canadian ban. I heard a story of someone who got banned by Canada and got a UK visa(or UK ban, Canada visa. I don't really remember). Please for your next application to any country, do it yourself or be more involved in the application. And get genuine statement of accounts too. |

Allegory: Shouldn’t be an issue imo. You only need to prove 1 year anyway. Just count well to make sure your one claimable year isn’t shorting by even one day. Since they already have your CV, You can always include a LOE for why you ain’t claiming the other 4 months. Better to do this than to be caught looking like you’re telling lies. Okay. Thank you. |

Good afternoon everyone.
Is it possible to work in a company for 16 months but only claim points for the last 12months? I've worked for myself since Jan 2021 but I only stated documenting it(salary, payslips) since April 2021 it is easier to prove from that time). Is it possible I don't include the first 4 months when claiming points and add later when I get ITA. PS: I only need 1 year work experience from this employment.
Another thing is, I submitted a study permit application recently and I included my CV which stated I started my present job January 2021, I hope it won't be misinterpreted if I pick April 2021-Present for EE? |

Please those who paid tuition through GLOBAL PAY, where did you put your PAYMENT REFERENCE while filling FORM A? Global Pay's payment instructions say it is highly important to put the PAYMENT REFERENCE
Your responses will be very appreciated.
Thank you. I paid via WU global pay. I didn't include the reference code, but I uploaded the form. The bank will go through it and act accordingly. But, you can add it to the beneficiary account name in brackets. |

Osemigho: Not all MBA are expensive. I know someone that just received MBA admission at MUN for Fall 2022. The tuition is 13k per year for two years. The cheap MBAs often require GRE or GMAT. Most people don't want to do that. They just want easy admission. That is why the popular Canada MBA on nairaland are expensive. My person was "lucky" because he already have GRE result from failed USA student visa application before he reached out. MBA tuition at MUN is around 17k per year. 34k for the 2 years. |

Balloo: Hi, just started following this thread, not sure where to begin. I'm filling out an application for a Canadian university. Any advice on how to complete this section?
Attached.
**** Special Circumstances To be considered for admission, all applicants must meet the minimum requirements as outlined in the University Calendar. The most competitive applicants will have consistently high academic achievement in their previous degree programs. Other aspects of a graduate application, including strong reference letters, research experience, standardized test scores, and statement of purpose can contribute to the competitiveness of a graduate application. The School of Graduate Studies recognizes that, for some applicants, financial hardship, community responsibilities, socioeconomic or other exceptional circumstances might have had a significant impact on their academic performance. If relevant, please describe these circumstances below. Otherwise, please type “N/A” in the section below. The instructions are quite clear. If there are SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES you would like them to know, write it there. If there isn't any type 'N/A'. This is for MUN right? |

Semtu: Please is there anyone else here studying or has been offered admission for a MASc degree in Memorial University of Newfoundland?
I just got an offer but the tuition fee written on the offer letter is much different from what is on their website so I am confused.
The total program fee on their website is 10k CAD but 29k CAD is what is written on the offer letter Maybe you checked the fee for their MEng programs. The MASc program attracts a special fee. It is stated at the bottom of the page you check the tuition fee. |

Olanrae: Heyy guys
I just got a mail from University of Manitoba’s graduate office that they’re pleased to inform me that economics department recommended me for admission.
Does that mean I’ve been admitted?
And then I finished with a 4.44 CGPA.
When they send the admission letter, is it possible the admission comes with funding?
Hoping to receive a response soon
Thank you guys The details of the admission and funding should be in the email sent to you. If funding isn't included, you can send an email to the admissions team or your department for funding details. But I believe the details should be in the email you received. |
