folake4u: Oh I see. I'd start forming my notes this week sef. Our externship is in March.
Alright, I'd focus on the principles and its exceptions then. Thank you for this timely tip.
@past questions. I'd do focus on 2015-2021 then.
Jeeez! I'd have to learn all Civil Litigation drafts? Those things are bulky oh.
Yes, I know that Charges is a compulsory question in Criminal Litigation. The Lecturers said it also. Do you know about any compulsory question in Corporate Law Practice?
Thank you so much. Goodluck with the externship I can't think of any compulsory questions for Corporate Law Practice, just study past questions and know what to expect. Also learn how to fill the CAC forms appropriately The 'my notes' i referred to are those handouts on each course containing summaries of all the topics that are sold in the campus. That was what we used to call them, but if you believe making your own notes would suffice, then that'll be okay Best wishes...i know that God willing you'll be part of the fold |

folake4u: Thank youuuuuuuuuu so much.
You've been most helpful. I'm grateful for this advice.
Please I want to ask a question. Reading textbooks isn't necessary right? Because to me, it's bulky and time consuming. Then again, we were told to just focus more on the principles of law, that cases and sections aren't that important. Under exam condition, how can one cite the case(s). Is it like in Uni days where we'd write the facts and what the court held? OR See Mojeku v. Mojeku for rights of females to inherit properties
Please I need to clarify this.
About the MCQ, I'd focus on it and time myself when practicing it. This means I shouldn't focus on year 2009- 2015 right? Cos it's Hella bulky too!
Thank you for the tip on the CAC form too.
Thank you so much Sir. The three tips i posted above were the only things i did to pass, though i used summary handouts i.e 'my notes' for support. I honestly didn't use a textbook, though they contain broader info. Citing of cases and sections aren't as vital in Law school as in Uni, but knowledge and application of them help as well. You should definitely know the Principles and exceptions If you study the past questions, you'd observe that Law School questions are applied questions and knowledge of Legal principles is a must I advice you focus on 2016/2017-2021 past questions I forgot to add, learn ALL drafts in Civil Litigation because you'll be required to draft virtually all. In my time, we drafted nothing less than 20 processes in the exam Also learn CHARGES in Criminal Litigation, it's definitely coming out In Professional skills and ethics, learn how to calculate legal fees, among other things. |

folake4u: As in ehnn! Thank you oh, Ma'am Dogged fighter.
Na NLS wahala just full my brain WALLAHI. Hello I'm a lawyer and i studied in Lagos campus I'd like to give you some crucial pieces of advice: 1.Study past questions, preferably, all of the preceding three to four years i.e 2017 - 2021. Study each of the years distinctly and for all courses, do so religiously. Doing so would actually help serve as a guide to preparing for your Bar finals 2. When answering MCQ questions, make sure you split the time evenly for all courses, because just an hour is given to answer 20questions each in all five courses. I strongly advice that you start by answering 10 each from all courses and thereafter attempt the remaining. Succeeding in MCQ is pivotal in passing the exams 3. When writing Corporate Law Practice, you'll be asked to fill a form on registering a company etc. Ensure you fill ALL slots, leave none empty I honestly believe this is expo for you, i'm actually sure about it I wish you the best in your quest to become a new wig |

There's nothing special about him my almighty el-rufa'i? if el-rufa'i is an illiterate then you're definitely not even qualified to talk...only breathe Go to where Sanusi went to and see if you'll be accorded the same reverence he was given. Ladycewhy: Yes you heard me right, men don't like you, they like your biological makeup ,they may like the fact that you have a vagina , womb and breasts but as a fellow human being , they don't like you.
Let's look back at history, in the days of old, Virgin girls were a thing for sacrifices and blood gift to the gods, then came the snatching of babies frome their mothers all in the name of twins was an abomination, then there was the selling of their daughter all in the name of bride price and the only time she was allowed to return to her father's house was in a body bag.
Still in doubt if men like you as a human first?
Ok then came the widow maltreatment, then there was a concensus to mutilate the vagina of women just to keep them under control, then came the refusal to allow them go to school. Still in doubt?
Do you still doubt the anti women campaign going on in this forum and even on the streets? Have you checked the ratio of ritual killing and see that women are the most victims?Have you heard the phrase " daughters of eve, fish brain, after devil fear women?" Well I am sure you atleast get the picture . All these didn't happen everywhere In certain locations, women were even rulers and legendary warriors e.g Amina warrior queen of Zaria As for ritual killings, women are easy targets, it's easier to bait them It's not that men hate women nowadays, it's that women now are becoming more like men and men feel less obligated towards them The chivalry is dying |

You hate them so much but you never want them to leave.
Igbos hate other tribes as well but at least they want to leave.
So how can you hate people sooooo much, like burning hatred, but you mock their desires to leave.
Can such mentality really solve problems?
So you have a problem, but never want that problem to leave?

Politics › Re: This Is For Those Asking Why Agitation For Biafra Is No Longer Strong by IMEI: 3:58pm On Feb 04, 2022 |
EastisBae: For those trying to blackmail Igbos that agitating for Biafra again post 2023 won't work if we are denied the presidency, hear this and hear it now; the agitation is rather going to take a more resolute and dangerous dimensions!
Here are the reasons: 1. There is no reason why Igbos shouldn't be allowed to rule in 2023 because everything makes it perfect for them now. Failure to endorse it by other Nigerians will prove to both die-hard Biafra agitators, moderates and pro Nigerians alike that Igbos would forever be treated as second class citizens.
2. It would be difficult for North to succeed itself and also difficult to allow SW to rule again since they've ruled enough, so denying Igbos that haven't ruled for no other reason than we are Igbos won't be acceptable.
3. Agitating for Biafra is an ideology that comes from the mind. It started because Igbos felt they weren't wanted in Nigeria. The perception rose to dizzying heights when Buhari emerged and opened old wounds. If you can notice, why it is reducing again is because Igbos are seeing an opening that there is a chance that we would be reintegrated into Nigeria like it was prior to 1966. However, if that hope is dashed, mark it today that it would be extremely difficult to tame the agitation ever again. And if you think Nigeria can't break, then I'm sorry for you. Nigeria is already facing extremely difficult times and it is not going to end anytime soon. The state is already weakened and a massive force pushing for breakup would be hard to stop.
It is not a threat but common sense, no section would be treated how Igbos have been treated since 1966 and they still believe in the same country. The same yorubas claiming to love Nigeria are doing so because they feel they're getting better deals. Let them pass through what Igbos have passed through and see if they would still love Nigeria. Do you know what politicking means? The advocates of merit don't want it in politics, they favour quota system instead...the irony If not for Nigeria's magnanimity, would Igbos have bounced back after the war? Make we hear word jo It's funny how your justification for an Igbo presidency is always accompanied by ultimatums and threats...only you guys believe you're owed, no one else does My advice: decide if you want biafra or Nigeria because you're only doing yourselves |

An Igbo man emerging as a candidate in next year's election is tantamount to rewarding truancy
A lot of Igbos spent the better part of this dispensation being treasonous, but now want to pretend they deserve to lead the country they disavowed repeatedly
Igbos need to prove that politically they can be trusted, Nigerians need to believe that their lives can be entrusted to them, anything short of that is self-delusion
Honestly, the only Igbo man i'm comfortable with is Rochas and the comfort doesn't extend beyond the vp slot |

Heaven and hellfire doesn't exist.
Know this and have peace of mind. oga calm down, just die first, hell no far the fact that you believe that nothing and i mean, absolutely nothing, can form even just a human being, is a testament to how unintelligent you are lets take the eye for example you mean to tell me that the retina just happened to form on its own, same as the pupil, also the lens and all other components and after forming, they just happened to perfectly come together in a working sequence to enable sight? and to top it off, the same eye needs light to see and just like that there was light to enable it function? Have you ever in your entire existence or any known existence, heard of components(not even non existing ones but existing ones), just coming together systematically to function? That's literally the same as keeping separate pieces of a watch disassembled and then with no assembler or maker, expecting the watch to perfectly assemble by itself and work No one even needs to tell you there must be a God, your God given brain should tell you so There are entire, advanced level research works written by renowned medical experts on 'how the human eye works', this fact alone is a marvel and we're only talking about the eye, what about the rest of creation then? How stupid does it sound that geniuses marvel at the eye and it's capabilities, yet the same people believe that it came about just by chance....in a word, it's absurd |
