Travel › Re: "Karōshi" Dead Men Working: The Hidden Cost Of JAPA Dreams by Immatex(m): 5:33pm On May 29, 2025
csamii:
You made absolutely no sense, and I stopped reading at the beginning. Obviously, you've not travelled out this cesspit, so what would you know about another country.

Who works 100 hours of unpaid overtime as a programmer?
If a nurse decides to end her life what make you think its because she was exhausted and not mental illness?
They sit in Nigeria or Africa and write as they wish, blame Nigeria’s backwardness on others but themselves.
I worked in Nigeria for 8years before I ran for dear life. There was and still is nothing like ‘Work Life Balance’ in Nigeria and for less pay I worked minimum 12 hours everyday as a sales manager. No weekend rest, always on the road even at midnight.
The pay was less.
While here in UK, my maximum booked weekly hours is 37hours. Overtime or what we call ‘Rest Day Working’ must follow the rules of not more 13 consecutive days of working, not more than 70 hours a week and not more 12 hours per shift in compliance with ‘Hidden Rule’.
So I am not working today because it’s my Rest Day. From Friday next week to Tuesday I will stay at home as a long weekend.
If a person out of greed decides to do double jobs, why should the blame fall on the UK government?
Nigerians abroad come under more pressure from people back home than from the country they live in. Everybody wants to depend on you because you are abroad, and you want to be a good person or even show off to your kilts and kins.
Unlike Nigeria, where people work for peanut pay that can’t help them or their families and still do unpaid overtime, folks here doing overtime or double jobs get paid for it.
I don’t wish to even step foot into Africa, I am happier and safer here!

Efuaye:
The story would be different if the guy was white!
Black is an endangered species.
You mean the police officer will let himself die if the driver of a car that almost ran him over was white?

Black people and defending rubbish.

You are not asking how the officer found himself on the bonnet of a moving car.
Why the driver didn’t stop until after shots were fired.

Crime has no colour. Black criminals shouldn’t be spared for fear of a societal backlash.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Should Africa Sue Trump For Libel Over Genocide by Immatex(m): 8:22am On May 27, 2025
It’s actually very disturbing to see Nigerians of this age and time rooting for South Africa - a notoriously xenophobic country with special hatred for Nigerian immigrants in South Africa.

From their Politicians without exclusion of their President, South Africa is committing genocide against not only whites but also blacks.

Why Nigerians of all countries feel they are obligated to defend a xenophobic South Africa from a man bold enough to call a spade a spade still beats me.

This culprit is Yoruba not Igbo, little wonder it’s not being blown out of proportion.

There’s no way you can separate the school the lad attended from the LGA.

So the bigots should simply swallow this bitter pill and drink some water.

The Chairman should actually do more - monetary reward and scholarships to help raise the BP of his bigot tribe people.

Politics › Re: 1,006  Foreigners Received Nigerian Citizenship In Eight Years by Immatex(m): 3:19pm On May 11, 2025
What’s the benefit of being a Nigerian citizen again?

If you are not black, everyday Nigerians won’t recognise you as a citizen, you will always be a foreigner.

Nigerians are trooping to other countries begging for citizenship and claiming they have rights to be so recognised but their hellish country is so stingy to grant citizenship to even women married to Nigerians that only 1006 persons have received citizenship in 15 years!

News like this will make UK increase the number of years for ILR to 15 years.

Worst is that the engineers at the power company are carrying out their first outage troubleshooting in their work experience.

Na who get money to waste go contest election wey the result sheet don ready!

It’s a selection already done and dusted.

If Nigeria politicians get sense, Tinubu should go unopposed as the country is effectively a one party dictatorship.

That’s the only way Tinubu next regime will lose credibility from the start but if any big wig contest against him, they give him credibility because he will win before selection day.
Politics › Re: Disregard The Fake News About Simon Ekpa Being Extradited To Nigeria by Immatex(m): 11:29pm On Apr 22, 2025
gidgiddy:
It's very unfortunate that on Nairaland, unverified News can sometimes make its way to front page, but that's where we find ourselves. A News came out that self styled 'Prime Minister Of Biafra', Simon Ekpa, will be extradited to Nigeria in July, that a Finland court had given a nod to this

The first thing about the News was that it had no source, just something anyone can post online to gain traffic. Simon Ekpa has not even been charged to court for any offence, let alone faced extradition proceedings

Another thing is that Simon Ekpa is a Finnish citizen, and under the European Convention On Human Rights, no European country can deport its citizen to country to where they face persecution, a country like Nigeria that has very bad human rights record

But let's just assume this story is true, even though it's obviously fake. Even if a Finland court gave nod that Simon Ekpa can be extradited, Simon Ekpa still has the right to fight the extradition request through the higher Finland courts, all the way up to the European court of justice, and all he has to do there is prove Nigeria's terrible human rights record as an example of why he would never get fair trial in Nigeria.

But the sad thing about all this is that in the last three weeks, over 200 Nigerians have been slaughtered in Plateau, Benue and Borno alone, by armed bandits

Yet those killings received far less attention than the fake News of Simon Ekpa's extradition
So you mean being Finnish citizen gives him the right to instigate and supervise the killings of innocent people?

So why is he in jail in Finland?

Una go just Dey lie to Unaself to give unaself false hope.

He return to face life sentence in Nigeria like Kanu will also get.

Crime will always have bitter consequences.

Fantasisers!

The apostle Paul foretold a time when some professing to be Christians would apostatize from the true faith, not wanting to hear the truth of God’s Word, but desiring to have their ears “tickled” by things pleasing to them, and would therefore listen to false teachers. - 2 Timothy 4: 3- For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the wholesome teaching, but according to their own desires, they will surround themselves with teachers to have their ears tickled.4They will turn away from listening to the truth and give attention to false stories.’

Politics › Re: I Wanted Fubara Removed As Governor – FCT Minister, Wike by Immatex(m): 3:30pm On Apr 20, 2025
He still wants and is more likely to succeed.

Wicked Wike like a typical Ikwere man can never forgive Fubara who attempted to break free from his grip and enslavement.

Slave masters don’t forgive runaway slaves because they’re most dangerous kind of slaves.

Fabura knew from the beginning that he was only holding brief for Wike the real governor.

Wike surrounded him with his other slaves - RSHA members, commissioners, etc.

Wike’s grand plan is to return another Ikwere man to government house Rivers State in the person of his slave - the Speaker of the House.

Wike does not also want a Governor that will outshine him in Rivers State - Project wise so as not to undermine his influence, popularity and political aspirations.

Rivers masses can go to hell as much as Wike has his way.

Wicked Wike is only about his ego, pride and pocket!

The price of human life in Nigeria is so cheap.

Tinubu declare a State of Emergency after infrastructure was destroyed in Rivers State, to protect the nation’s economy as he claimed.

Hundreds of people have been killed in Benue, Plateau and other states by invading marauders with no resistance from Government troops but Tinubu won’t declare a state of emergency because human life has no value in Nigeria and to a Nigerian politician.

The Sole Administration was hoping the NBA conference held in Rivers State as a way to show approval of the military government or to disgrace NBA for criticising it.

The N300m was a gift, gifts are not returned or requested to be returned.

The administration that gave this gift is suspended, the imposters asking for a refund can only threaten because the compromised judiciary will rule in their favour.

What is important and clear is that the present NBA leadership has refused to be bought or intimidated by even Wike their member.

Yoruba people of Lagos are currently asking Nigerians of other ethic nationality to leave Lagos insisting that the Lagos of today is the product of the Yoruba man’s ingenuity, trying to erase from documented history that Lagos was the longest Federal Capital Territory of the federation until recently.

Lagos still enjoys special status till date and the benefits of being capital city will continue to embellish Lagos.

Lagos is the product of the bringing together of the nation’s resources not and will never be the result of the Yoruba tribe.

If anything the Yorubas have slowed down the development of Lagos.
