The FRSC Ambush
This is a true life account of a seemingly ambush situation on me by men of the Federal Road Safety Corp.
I am a legally licensed road user. I work for a Multi-national corporation and I use a company issued vehicle just about 8-months old. My vehicle was in perfect appearance and working condition.
Only yesterday, 18th October, for official reasons I was travelling to Aba from Okigwe through the Enugu-Umuahia road. Shortly after entering the Umuahia area and not far from the NNPC Maga station before tower as I approached from Okigwe, I noticed a Dangote truck badly slighted in one side likely to fall due to bad road and heavy flour load.
I was a little distracted as my assistant in my vehicle pointed to the road mishap scene. As it was bent corner of the road, just at the bad spot where a building wrongly painted in police colours, I didn’t notice the presence of a detachment of FRSC marshals nor their patrol van on time. Naturally I was slowing down due to the Truck I took a few seconds to observe and the fact that I was approaching a very bad spot on the road. So it was rather very shocking to see 3 marshals brandishing sticks and planks on the road. I stopped and gesticulated to them asking them what was happening, all I saw was more men taking positions round my vehicle threatening to smash my wind-screen, side-mirrors and head-lamps. After about 2mins of shock, I cleared out of the road and opened my door. The marshals – team lead and driver rushed me. One hitting my left leg with sticks the other removed my seat-belt and attempted removing my car key. They further dragged me out of my vehicle and continued molesting me demanding I surrender my cars and license. I was speechless and perplexed at the way and manner these men treated me like a man convicted of terrorism.
I asked them what my offence was. They alleged that I attempted to commit a hit and run on a road marshal. I denied and continue to denial that accusation because a vehicle at a slow speed of 20-30km/h cannot kill a man in a very bad spot of the Enugu-Umuahia road. After refusing to surrender my license, I gave my license to the team leader who promised to make me beg him or my car impounded and taken to the office. I asked him to take my car to the office as I will never beg him for molesting and harassing me. After spending close to an hour there, he issued me a ticket for obstruction when I never made a single vehicle reduce speed nor stop to wait for me.
Even with my license in the hands of these touts in uniform, I will pay no fine. I must say that I will seek revenge by all means possible on this these set of road marshals who are only extortioners in uniform. The names of the two men who God will not forgive for causing me body injuries and embarrassment are J. Issac-team lead and M. Kanu-patrol van driver. They are men from the Umuahia Asaba street office of FRSC. They will see no good until they pay for their crime.

It's a nice story you have here. I did a lot of voluntary nonpaying jobs after service but truly enjoyed every one of them including laundry with a boss who was a stack illiterate. The good thing was that I added classic value anywhere I entered and worked. Today, by His grace I went from a 30k salary gainer to a manager with an official car, a lot of allowances and 6 months compulsory hotel residency. I can say I went from grass to grace. So my lady, you can rewrite your story but you my start somewhere. My advice is: start small to become great. Best wishes.

The two statements buy Jehovah's Witnesses above are contradictory.

When did Jesus actually assume power in heaven?

As Jehovah's Witnesses we agree with the inspired words found at Proverbs 4:18. Our knowledge of kingdom truth and our understanding of God's word will only increase. The informations you quoted have being updated upon clearer enlightenment. As a dynamic organisation following the leading of God's frery chariot, we do not become dogmatic and are open to gain fuller understandings of scriptural truths.

All these Jehovah's witnesses prophecies (and many many more) are what you call "gospel truth?"

The so called 'New National Identity Card' is worthless most times as it only gets selective reception from legal establishments like courts, police stations, banks, companies etc. Each successive adminstration has continued to make fool of the citizens by embarking on Identification projects unending. I even here the president has ordered the commencement of another suchlike 'white elephant' project in Identifing citizens even the current-on-going project of the National Identity Management Commission project has not began issusing the permanent electronic readable cards as promised over a year ago. I had mine issued since Febuary, till date the permanent cards have not been released and I have experienced many rejection from legal institutions on account of the near worthless paper (temporary) card. So if anyone has got something important needing legal identification, driver's license and international passports should be the preferred options as this country has never had a functional national ID card nor an identity database of it citizens. Worst still, there's no hope in sight in that respect.

As an Engineer, am so used to having a back-up plan that I dont see myself cancelling or postponding my wedding if there happens to be good reasons to cancel the first engagement. Kindly switch to 'plan B'. I will always have a substitute fiancee who will be duely informed and arrangements fasttrecked even if its on that wedding day and the occasion will still hold with little or no noticiable change.

But on a serious note, having a 'plan B or a back-up plan' is important, just in-case.

Now this is my submission. NCAA has incompetent executives who do not at all understand just what there are jobs are and the limits of the powers. For grown up men to commit a crime without understanding its full implications, NCAA is governed by educated illitrates and outright fools. The Minister has so shown her cunning and her knowledge that those under her oversight are no better that touts in a motor park, that is why a simple phrase of neutral approval can be relied upon to cut corners and savon state fund. It therefore implies that the minister's signature of and for approvals is 'Do The Needful' which simply means: Do whatever it takes but if you get into trouble, you should be prepared to answer. Able bodied men could not insist on the correct and conventional phrases of approval but accepted a new invention of corrupt phrase to do the biddings of a superior to whom they owe no loyalty. The Minister played them for the fools they are, now they have shown the world how unless they can be. Please House of Assembly, Do The Needful!

If there's a woman to be celebrated here, then Her Lord Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Justice (Mrs) Mary Odili must be that woman. She's a brilliant and dedicated career woman who has used her legal career to keep her husband away from jail-that to me is her biggest achievement. This she achieved owing to her deep love for her husband, Sir (Dr.) Peter Odili, a man she met way back at UNN when they were both students of law and medicine respectively. It is no mean feat to be a judge of the Supreme court of Nigerian and so Her Lord Justice (Mrs) Mary Odili, she is Nigerian's most powerfully lady of living times.

Will the N10b make Jang innocent of the charges from Dariye? Because as evident in this report, nowhere did Jang ask Dariye to provide proof to his allegation nor did Jang refute the corruption claim. All Jang seem to be interested in is the N10b fee Dariye should be made to pay for libel even when Dariye might said the truth. Jang, am begining to suspect you oooh. Anyway, the court must first establish the truthfulness or otherwise of Dariye's allegation before ordering him to pay the money concious Governor.

Mr. Vice President, let me humbly remind you that you are an Architect by calling and a politician by profession. None of these makes you an Engineer and so might be in position to speak of Nigeria producing an aircraft soon. We have failed to maintain cars made by others nor been able to produce tyres not to talk about producing cars. So lets not speak of aircraft otherwise it will amount to economic sabotage.

As a regular User of this very deplorable road, I feel a heavy guilt not to have brought this to the attention of this forum and so must thank the Citizen who did this good job.
I have on many occasion called on the impeachment of the Imo State Governor owing to the condition of this road and the many pain it has caused its users, let me again call on concerned persons to join in asking that the Governor, Senator, and house members in both state and federal levels be held accountable for the deplorable condition of this road. Be informed that this road is the only viable access to FEDPONEK and FUTO both being highly esteemed citadels of learning in Imo state and Nigeria. As this road continue to decline each passing day, without an iota of attention, it will soon be impassable and the communities in this part of the State totally cut-off from Owerri and the rest of the world.

Now considering your question directly, please note that communication with the dead is expressly condemned by God in Holy word of truth-The Bible. Read for your from your copy of the Bible at Lev. 19:31; Deut. 18:10-12; Isa. 8:19
The Bible is not silent concerning the condition of the dead, find this verses of the scripture in your copy of the Bible so as not to be deceived: Eccl. 9:5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.”
Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts [“thoughts,” KJ, 145:4 in Dy; “all his thinking,” NE; “plans,” RS, NAB] do perish.”
John 11:11-14: “‘Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.’ . . . Jesus said to them outspokenly: ‘Lazarus has died.’” (Also Psalm 13:3)

What is baptism for the dead?
In writing about the heavenly resurrection, the apostle Paul penned a most intriguing passage. In the King James Version, we read: “Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?” And The New Jerusalem Bible renders this passage: “What are people up to who have themselves baptised on behalf of the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, what is the point of being baptised on their behalf?”—1 Corinthians 15:29.
Was Paul here suggesting that living people be baptized on behalf of those who died in an unbaptized state? So it might seem from these and some other Bible translations. However, a closer examination of both the Scriptures and the original Greek used by Paul suggests another conclusion. Paul meant that anointed Christians are baptized, or immersed, into a course of life that will lead to a death of integrity like that of Christ. Afterward, they would be raised to spirit life as he was.
The Scriptures support this explanation. In his letter to the Romans, Paul wrote: “Do you not know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?” (Romans 6:3) In his letter to the Philippians, Paul spoke of himself, saying: “Sharing in [Christ’s] sufferings, submitting myself to a death like his, to see if I may by any means attain to the earlier resurrection from the dead.” (Philippians 3:10, 11) Paul was pointing out that the life of an anointed follower of Christ involves a course of integrity-keeping under test, a daily facing of death, and finally a death of integrity, followed by the heavenly resurrection.
It is noteworthy that these and other scriptures that directly mention death in connection with baptized ones refer to living individuals who had been baptized and not to those who had died. Paul also told fellow anointed Christians: “You were buried with him in his baptism, and by relationship with him you were also raised up together through your faith in the operation of God, who raised him up from the dead.”—Colossians 2:12.
The Greek preposition hy·per′, translated “for” or “on behalf of” in various Bible versions at 1 Corinthians 15:29, can also mean “for the purpose of.” In harmony with other Bible texts, the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures therefore correctly renders this verse: “What will they do who are being baptized for the purpose of being dead ones? If the dead are not to be raised up at all, why are they also being baptized for the purpose of being such?”

At 25 she's of age and the father should leave to her choice. Every of life's decisions have consequences and we must accept the responsibilities of our decisions when the time comes.
The glaring fact to her conversion is that it is not based on conviction but on wishful thinking and in expectation of a marriage if she's not already married to one Muslim man.
Her parents failed in parenting her and convincing her of why her parents' faith was the right way to serve God. They also lacked the required parental control of her from an early age and so take a measure responsibility from what will result of her life and decisions.
Her father is wrongly behind time in wanting to help her because he had all the infancy ages to do so but failed. Little wondered the inspired Proverbs admonitions parents to train up a child in the way for him/her that even when he grows old he will not depart from that way.
Their unbridled allowance of association with every form of persons lead her to keep association with Muslims and so the words of the Holy writings fulfilled in her case when it says 'Bad association spoils useful habits'.
None-the-less, the deed is done!
