Please check one of the documents released yesterday by the university. I quoted a sentence there, it reads " Bola Tinubu the president of Nigeria, graduated from the university in 1979, one of HIS political opponent Abubakar". If the Tinubu that attended the university was actually a female it will reads "one of HER political opponent"check the second mark down there.

I don't understand what Atiku is still looking for in the US court.
I hope disobedient children can go back to their hurts now, because some of them were saying the Tinubu that attended the university was a female.

Very true. If it had been female as suggested by Obidafts University would have used the pronoun SHE.

Atiku go loose for Nigeria, loose for US but end up boosting Tinubu chance in 2027 because the issue of Tinubu academic qualification could never again be admissible in the courts, whether in Nigeria or US.

And the Lagos State Government Demolished Chido's Dream

Chido relocated to Lagos from Onitsha two decades ago.

His dad was a lace fabric mogul in Onitsha, and he wanted to replicate the same success in Lagos, the city famous for its cultural melting point and its diversity.

He came here with the little capital he could afford at the time and then pitched his tent at Idumota Market in Lagos Island, where fabrics of all kinds are sold.

Brick by brick, mortal by mortal, he was able to grow as the God of wealth favored him.

He got married here as well, and all his kids were born in Lagos.

He just built his first house in the same estate where I live in Lagos and moved into the property three years ago.

A remarkable accomplishment for a man who came here with virtually nothing but his dream

Business was moving fine, and one day he had this wave length, a master stroke that he believed would change the fortunes of his business.

Why not build a plaza that will serve as an additional revenue stream for his business?

An agent introduced him to a family from Lagos State willing to lease their land for such a venture on Lagos Island.

A sum of 30 million naira was agreed upon between Chido and the family that owns the land, and a lease of 15 years was also agreed upon with an option to renew.

With the agreement in place, the necessary approvals and permissions from the Lagos State Government were sought and given.

Work commenced on site sometime last year. The idea was to build a 90-stores plaza, a befitting modern plaza that could rival Tayo Amusan's plazas.

Work was completed on site last month; traders have paid for all the shops, and the property was penciled down to be commissioned this Saturday, and that is when the drama started.

Unknown to Chido and his wife, Amaka Okoli-Chidozie, LASBCA (Lagos State Building Control Agency) has been sending notices of outstanding payments to them to pay up.

Even though they paid all the necessary dues before they began their buildings, they did not know that another payment was waiting for them to clear.

They only knew about the payment last week on Monday, and on Tuesday, the sum of 4.5 million naira was paid by Chido.

The money was payd through bank transfer and a receipt was instantly issued to him.

But more drama is on the way for the 42-year-old businessman.

It was on a Saturday night when his phone rang, and he picked it up. The caller on the line was calling to inform him whether he was aware that LASBCA (Lagos State Building Control Agency) was coming to demolish his new plaza.

He rushed to the site only to meet bulldozers, armed police, and men of LASBCA (Lagos State Building Control Agency) pulling down his hard work.

A project that cost him over 200 million naira to erect.

For proper context; there was no notice by this agency that they were coming to demolish.

It was more or less an ambush.

When he tried to call the GM of the agency, the man was not picking up his calls.

In that state of confusion, he was dialing the number of anyone he believed could help him, but help was not forthcoming; rather, he was told that the governor gave approval for his building to be demolished.

It was a sad Chido who went to meet the GM of the agency that demolished his plaza the next day, Monday, to understand what his offense was.

He was told that the building was demolished because he did not pay the necessary building regulatory fees.

I paid, and I have my receipts to show what he told the man.

Seeing that Chido had his receipt of payment, the Oga quizzed Chido to understand who cleared and accepted his payment.

He mentioned one Mr. Tunde.

But Tunde was with us the day we deliberated on how to demolish your building, the GM said.

He didn't even bring up the subject of your payment.

He was even with our men when the building was brought down.

How come?

What kind of man is this? The GM wondered.

So a call was placed by the GM to Mr. Tunde to understand why he kept him in the dark when Chido had paid his fee.

Tunde on the other line started stammering.

You know

I'm sorry, sir( Ana ede ebe Nile).

The deed has been done and cannot be reversed.

Chido's 200 million naira dream has been demolished by the Lagos State government.

I spoke to multiple traders in Lagos Island before writing this to understand what Chido’s crime was; the general consensus is that Chido's only crime appears to be that he is an Igbo man who chose to invest in Lagos.

Unfortunately, there won't be any consequences for those who intentionally choose to demolish a commercial building, even if the owner did nothing wrong.

For the Tunde of this world, life moves on.

The evil they are happy about will one day make them the saddest.

Chinedu,
This ya bloda wey build property for Lagos Island, na which street and number the property dey make i go verify.

I no trust una.

This is very commendable. Well done Edo state Government.

It's interesting to note that the most prominent traditional ruler in the whole Edo state and perhaps the whole South South of Nigeria, apart from the Itsekiri in Delta, is the one instituted by a Yoruba Ile-Ife Prince, Oranmiyan, in Benin.

Only the Benin royalty is Yoruba. If you are not from the Benin royalty, you are not Yoruba but subject to the royalty of the Oranmiyan descendants in Benin.

We are proud of the blossomed Yoruba royalty roots in the South South today. Oodua a gbe yin o.

BLACKPRIEST:
The masquerade is yet to dance in the square. If things do not take a different turn, the real issues will play out after the dust is calm.

Firstly, BOLA Ahmed Tinubu took a thoughtless decision to cut electricity supply to Niger Republic, breaking the 1960 pact between the two countries. A forward thinking leadership will plan for the possibility of a retaliation from Niger Republic. But, it looks like the man is busy trying to make name for himself.

If the other country eventually decides to build a dam over the River Niger, it will have noticeable socio-economic impact on Nigeria.

Secondly, If Tinubu does not execute his treat of invasion, there will, undeniable, be a serious dent on his capacity, further diminishing the perceived image of Nigeria as the African giant. Also, this will also establish the narrative on the international scene that ECOWAS is a puppet of the west.

MODIFIED: After reading comments, I'll reply a couple. I'll be very hard on the brain dead, caustic and uncouth individuals who chose to abandon civility in their comments, but I'll reply reasonable comments with urbanity.

For those like Stoplying who misunderstood the, I partly take responsibility for clarity, but I expect such persons to read and understand the context.

A useless and incoherent writeup.

Currently, beside the dam in Kainji, there is no dam on the upstream river. Dam is a very heavy infrastructure and the technology is outdated. If Niger wishes to build one it will need financing and manpower for such huge scale project. Because it is under sanctions, even if it wants to, Niger is currently incapacitated and disabled from using water flow to pivot against Nigerian interest.

Politics / Re: North Already Plotting Against Tinubu by ImperialYoruba: 7:34pm On Aug 09, 2023
Zetra7:
Tinubu administraton considered the rest of the south as political enemies with echos of political bond between the SW and the collective North.

Northern political strategists learning from Britian understands clearly the anicent divide and rule antics and have succeeded in alienating Tinubu from the collective southern power bloc.

Presently, they have unleashed strong anti-Tinubu sentiment all over the North and seeks to oppose every policy of the administration terming these policies anti-north.

The plan is simple, Discredit Tinubu and stand behind a Notherner against this administraton in the next election.

This is not new, after the 4 years of Obasanjo, the North plotted to take over power but failed with Obasanjo's political unification of the south.

After GEJ first official tenure, same North objected and mounted a challenge in 2015 and with the betrayal of Tinubu led SW succeeded with Buhari, thus dismantling of the southern political cacus.

In 2027, the North is already planning to strike again and they need a willing partner from the south.

In all fairness, Tinubu honoured the agreement not to pursue or probe the last northern dominated administration in exchange of free reign of his administration.

Despite meeting a battered economy with empty account, he decided to turn to the West, quickly implementing their recommended policies in order to obtain help and validation.

A trap in my opinion since protectionism reigns supreme into the current failing global market.

The North having sensed an opportunity is willing to strike hard and will make them the biggest opposition to this administration.

Invading Niger will show forth their disdain for this administraton and will put this nation in serious crisis.

Tinubu needs strong allies for the fight ahead...

Will he unify the south?

Isn't this a rewrite of the published narrative leading to primary and general election? Inspite of the agenda, Tinubu defeated all of you at the polls. Shame shame shame!
