Nigerians even add chemicals to Palm oil. I know someone who always go to the village to get Palm oil on order to be sure of quality. This has nothing to do with one particular tribe. If you are sick, you can't even be sure of the quality of drugs you take in because most of them are FAKE DRUGS. I once got a malaria tablet from a pharmacy and took all the tablets. About a week later, the nurse in the pharmacy told me the medication was supposed to be divided into THREE DOSES that she made a mistake be telling me to take all. I was shocked because taking all was supposed to be a serious overdose but nothing happened because they were FAKE.

My dad will scream, we don't need that right now besides I am pressed finally, paying for this and that. Why not use the money to do ABC instead. She will argue and argue, my dad will still say NO. Tomorrow when he gets back from work, a plane will be there waiting for him.

Dad: I thought we agreed you shouldn't buy?
Mum screaming: I need it and I have the money why won't I buy it?
Dad: Well it's such a beautiful plane o, glad you bought it. Congrats I am happy for you.
Mum: Thank you my husband, I am glad you love it.

5 months later.

As Nigerians pray that the Port Harcourt serial killer be caught quickly; Many will agree that this is one of the most trying times for Nigeria as a country. The level of insecurity in the country has depreciated to an all time low. People are kidnapped almost on a daily basis across the country even in Abuja, the country’s capital city. No one is safe in the country at the moment. Some efforts are being made by those in authority but the security situation in the country is simply alarming.

The latest trend in the wasteful killings of Nigerians by fellow compatriots is the allege serial killer on the loose in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital. As at the last count, reports has it that 10 ladies have been killed in the same or similar manner.

Whistle Times investigation found that the killings of young ladies across Port Harcourt became noticeable in July, 2019. The trend has continued since then. So far, nobody has been arrested for the killings. Almost all the victims are strangled with a white clothe neatly knotted around their neck.

A close examination of the victims pictures by Whistle Times, it appears that the women are drugged to make them weak before strangulation. This could be one reason why none of the victims screamed for help in the various hotels that bodies have been discovered. It also appear that the killers deliberately target low class hotels with no CCTV so that they can easily slip out without anyone noticing.

A close examination of the pictures suggest that the ladies might be between the ages of 20 and 30. It is possible that the killings might be ritual related. In some of the pictures, the victims were naked suggesting that they may have been raped or some sort of sexual activities before or after death.

It is not clear at this time if multiple people or a single individual is responsible. What is known however is that just this past Sunday, another young lady was killed in a motel. Her body was found on Sunday. Another young woman was found dead in a hotel on Saturday in Obo, Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that an unknown man had lodged in the hotel with the young woman.

This is a difficult time to be a woman. Whistle Times expert suggests that the best way to avoid being a victim is for ladies to completely avoid meeting or going to hotels with men that they do not know too well or those met recently. All dates must be in open places such as eateries or any public place. Women must ensure that their friends know who they are going to meet without exception. The Rivers State police command says most of the victims might be prostitutes. However, it is not clear at this time if they are actually prostitutes.

The killings have caused outrage and panic in Rivers State, many women groups took to the streets of Port Harcourt to protest the killings. The Port Harcourt Serial Killer is only one of the many security challenges plaguing Rivers State. Many in the states are also killed by election violence, cultists, armed robbers, road accidents amongst others. A resident of the city told Whistle Times that his laptop was stolen from him a few days ago. He had boarded a one chance taxi around Rumuola axis of the city when they pointed a gun at him. They took all his possessions before forcing him down the taxi. The unemployed graduate of many years said; “I just want to leave Nigeria for good, the hardship in this country is becoming unbearable.”

Port Harcourt Serial Killer is only one of many other challenges that the Nigeria police will have to deal with in order to save the lives of many other potential victims.
