[quote author=Jewessgratitud3 post=129069320]Please I need to know if anyone has successfully removed theirs cos that's the next thing on my to -do list.

Talk to your physician particularly abiut the cons of the procedure. I overheard my wife a BNSc holder discouraging removal of womb because oof aging issues. She said those who undergo such process age faster. As much as menstruation can be painful, it rejuvenates the female body, and keeps it fresh for reproduction.

I don't usually comment on Nairaland because many try to make sense out of nonsense. I want to believe you are part of the progressives that told Nigerians to be patient with Buhari, because of long term enjoyment that will follow short term endurance. We are where we are now, Buhari's admin enjoyment is yet to mature. You people have started giving false hope to citizens probably because of peanuts you are getting from politics or due to tribal sentiments. Kwantinue.

I told someone who was brainwashed to be optimistic about subsidy removal and was telling people to give this administration time, that he should not worry, after few months he will hear that subsidy has returned triple-fold. That is already happening. The problem of dollar was caused by the same politicians, when they start to flaunt dollars in their campaigns. The ripple effect is now showing.

Since Babangida's time till date, the biggest palliative from government has been that Nigerians should sacrifice, suffer and suffocate for the greater good, for a better, working and prosperous nation. Please if I may ask you where is the result? Our cup of sacrifices is not yet full? I hate to hear any statement pacifying citizens to endure because things will get better. For almost over 40 years of senseless and insensitive policies of the Nigerian Government, what has been the outcome? Stop fooling yourself and convincing others to be foolish.

Don't forget who started it, but in all i don't think it is really about religion, it is about the yearning of the people for good governance, people voted across religious lines for their preferred candidate.

It's Judiciary turn to be part of this election. Definitely there will be litigation against the process and the result. Those celebrating should do so moderately, those mourning should do so without bitterness. A process has been concluded and another is starting, let each one prove their victory or defeat in Tribunals and Courts. It is well with Nigeria

So sorry about your experience. I equally faced something similar while driving a Toyota Camry wagon in Ondo state. It was a bad experience as I had some chicks in my car and I actually ended up losing some to heatstroke due to the lengthy delay.

Wow, that's wickedness. Are they forcing private car owners to join their union by force?

Crime / My Encounter With NURTW Guys While Driving Private Sienna 2002 by Indelibleword(m): 11:19pm On Sep 09, 2022
Today is a very painful day seeing unfettered lawlessness in my country and becoming a victim of it. I was driving from trans amadi to link with PH-Aba Road, at Garrison Junction, I was stopped by a man wearing NURTW polo shirt. Before, I know what was happening, two other guys have entered my car, I confronted them about what they were doing and what authority they have to demand anything from private vehicles. They started rambling about me using utility vehicle and that I must have their sticker. I argued that I am not a transporter and so, nothing concerns me with their sticker.

I was asked to park which I did as one of them rushed for my key. They started shouting that they will impound my vehicle and I will pay 45,000 before getting it back. I called some people with phone but they were so far away from where they held me. I was at their mercy. Two of them said I should give them something, I insisted I am not with cash. At a point I went to withdraw 2,000 to give them so I can just move, they collected the money and went to hand over the key to their Chairman who started his own. After back and forth argument, he said he will collect 15,000. I told him I don't have that kind of money.

They drove the car to their office in Abali Park and said they will be closing by 4pm and if it was not resolved by then, it will be Monday before anything could be done about it. All the people I called to speak with them did not yield any result. I paid the money and left. I am still shocked by the experience. The brazen extortion and embarrassment from motor park touts.

Their oga at the office, when I demand why they were doing that rubbish, he said it was utility vehicle tax they were collecting on utility vehicles like mine. He said it doesn't matter if it is private or commercial. I was livid and helpless at the same time. He mentioned other vehicles like Jetta, Camry, buses etc. He said they were empowered to collect that money and there is nothing anyone can do about it, even security agents. If you are in PH and you are using those cars mentioned, beware of those miscreants around Garrison flyover. They are in collusion with task force agents there.

However, I don't want the matter to end like that. What is the best way to seek redress and stop that nonsense violation and embarrassment on private vehicle owners who drive cars assumed to be used for public transportation. Useful advice is needed. Please Mod help me push it to front page.

Religion / Re: Between Clergyman Mike Bamiloye And A Facebook User Asking About Heaven by Indelibleword(m): 10:03am On Aug 29, 2022
I have read the arguments on both sides and Interestingly the subject of argument is the belief (thinking) system. Those arguing 'for' believe heaven is real. Those arguing 'against' believe it is not real. It is left for any of the two sides to present their beliefs convincingly. Those insulting others are not even helping matters.

Here is my take. If we could accept the words of philosophers like Aristotle, Pluto, etc. Because they appeal to our extra sensory perception, why not the words of Jesus who had said the most profound words that even modern philosophers has no argument against, because of the absolute truth it projects about man's nature, concept of egalitarian society, and need for intervention beyond man's abilities. Where they stopped short is His claim as the Saviour of man from his temporal and eternal woes.

Jesus told a vivid story of heaven and hell's reality in Luke 16:19-30. This was not a parable but a real story, as specific names were mentioned, unlike parables where He used figurative persons. Heaven and hell are not on the mortal plane/dimension, they are on the Immortal plane, anyone trying to prove their existence in the mortal world would be unable to do so. Jesus depicted what happens after death. The soul of man could be carried by angels or just teleported to hell. This explains some of the facial expressions of people that just died, some are peaceful while some are contorted regardless of the level of pain they suffered leading to their deaths.

I watched a documentary about experiences of people at the point of death, made by some doctors, nurses, anestheticians etc . They observed that, at the passing of man from the mortal to immortal plane there are reactions that occur just before their deaths. Some passed on peacefully as if they were sleeping, regardless of the pain suffered, while some others passed on with fear, contorted faces and gloom because of the glimpse of the other side. They observed that those with practicing faith in Jesus are of the former.

Voltaire, a French poet with strong affirmation that God does not exist and that death is the end of all life forms, lived a very long life without much health challenges except old age issues. At the point of death, cringed and held tightly to his best friend, who was with him, with a fearful and tearful face saying that he was afraid of what lies beyond the veil, a deep, dark, endless gloom that was staring him.

Those doubting the reality of heaven and hell should summon courage to be near those who are at the gate of immortality and pay attention to their expressions as they have glimpses of what is waiting for them at the other side. They will have all the physical evidences they need.

I come in Peace.

My fear is that none of the candidates jostling for the position is fit to lead this country because of their complicity in the current state of the nation. We need a fresh accomplished professional to lead this country.
Politics / Re: Senate President Lawan Warns Multichoice On Tariff Hike by Indelibleword(m): 12:25pm On Apr 13, 2022
Why would they be talking about pay TV and not talking about electricity tariff hike? While not defending DSTV, the hypocrisy in Nigeria is at another level. Senate did not mandate Discos to provide prepaid meter for all electricity consumers, and kept mum on tariff hike.

In the name of increase in electricity tariff, unmetered customers and those with old analogue meters are passing through 'shege' with estimated billing.

This month PHED brought almost #10,000 bill for electricity that is not up to 72 hours in a month. Every time it is grid collapse yet we are paying for what we did not use. Let Senate also mandate Discos to do 'pay as you go' for all customers

Politics / Re: EndSARS: We Can’t Guarantee Security During Yuletide – Law Enforcement Officers by Indelibleword(m): 11:01am On Nov 02, 2020
Communities should just rise to the occasion and protect their neighborhoods effectively. That will send a strong message to the police force that we are just enduring them. Any serious Govt will take advantage of this situation to overhaul the NPF that people will cherish. These sets of officers had lost it.

I also hope they will not be staging robberies and kidnaps to justify their abscondment from duty.

However, this is not to approve or applaud the killing of police officers. Some of them are dutiful, they have families that are dependent on them. They are human beings also. Condolences to the families that lost their loved ones in the line of duty.

Police Officers who are dutiful and responsible should go back to work and add human relations. During this fracas some police stations were protected from hoodlums by the community, because the DPO of those stations were exceptional. If they fail to return communities should activate their local security networks.

Time and chance as ordained by God happened to all mankind. Another may finish his/her race and another may be spared another lap. It does not mean the one that ended the race has not also enjoyed some sparing before. That is why everyman should be set to meet his maker anytime. You don't know when you will be spared or taken. Repent and submit to Christ is not a religious slogan, it is an eternal wisdom for those who accept the message.

sad.. Since someone died, then no need thanking God or Jesus. Purpose defeated...

My deepest sympathies go out to the family of the deceased. May God Almighty comfort them and grant their departed Paradise..

As for CrazeClown, I advise he should withdraw this nonsense. He should stop mocking the dead. No be only you serve God pass.. Your survival has nothing to do with God, but your sitting posture in the vehicle and luck.. We all go die eventually.. So stop using the unfortunate tragedy of the dead to oil your "holier than thou" ego..

May God help us all.
In everything we still give thanks, whether good or bad situation. Job lost all his children, business, properties on one day and still thanked God. You may not know how close the deceased is to him, he has a reason to thank God let him be.

what's your beef if the man is thanking Jesus? As Christians we give thanks in everything, seeing the car and the man, something suppose to tell you that it is beyond man's wisdom or power. He is not happy about the person that died nor bragged about it. He lost the car and perhaps other vital things pertaining to his life.He himself had given up hope of being alive, but he made it and thanked God. What's your beef about that?

NOTHING!

Nigerians seriously need to start placing their priorities right and quit criticism with no effect. We change things. Our actions.

The only way a swift change will ever be witnessed is through a Revolution . Can't happen. So we'll have stick to the gradual evolution

The guy above megrin

The way some people can project unattainable fantasy without building basic block for ideal reality is just amazing. On what will your revolution stand on? Ethnicity, religion, partisanship, sentiments? And you think it will stand. Every successful revolution starts with mass awareness which precedes mass action. The writer has done more revolution than your critique. People must start talking in unison before revolution can be successful, let all Nigerians speak with one voice against maladministration which can galvanise mass action
