The most important thing here is the voters turn out not just the registered number of voters.

More often than not, you some people dismiss the chances of Labour Party in the upcoming 2023 elections because, according to them, the party does not have structure.

But would it be the first time a party without structure is winning elections? I guess not.

In 2007, Olusegun Mimiko defected from PDP to Labour Party after he failed to clinch the PDP ticket from the sitting Governor, Olusegun Agagu. The masses wanted Mimiko but PDP trusted in their ‘structure’ and gave their ticket to the unpopular sitting governor.

At the conclusion of the election in 2007, Olusegun Mimiko won with his ‘structureless’ Labour Party but INEC, typical of them at the time, declared the sitting PDP governor.

Mimiko went to court. And sometimes in 2008, the Supreme Court declared Olusegun Mimiko of the ‘structureless’ Labour Party the authentic winner of the election and he was sworn in. That’s how Ondo State joined the off cycle election.

Similarly, in same 2007, a certain popular former chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, joined the governorship race in Edo State in same ‘structureless’ Labour Party and his message and manifesto reverberated with the masses who queued behind him because they wanted to rescue Edo from the shackles of Lucky Igbonedion and the puppet he was sponsoring to succeed him, Dr Osunbor.

Like in Ondo, after the election, Adams Oshiomole won with his ‘structureless’ Labour Party but INEC declared PDP.

Oshiomole went to court and got victory around 2008 when the Supreme Court declared him as the validly elected governor of Edo State. Oshiomole was sworn in and that’s how Edo joined the off cycle elections.

One thing is common amongst these two, when they were running on the Labour Party platform, the party had no Senator, no House of Rep Member, no House of Assembly Member, not even a Ward Councilor. But they had the people. And the people defeated the entrenched structures in the two states.

It's really not about the number of registered voters but the voters turn out. Northern Nigeria has always done better in this regard. Kudos to Bayelsa and Ebonyi States. They surprised me. Small states oooooo. Wow! Very nice!

I remember when you were shouting Amaechi everywhere during the Apc primary,I told you Amaechi that can't win his state or region is was a no go area but you said it doesn't matter because obasanjo didn't win his state in 1999. Now suddenly, oshiomhole is not good for DG because he can't win his region? Aren't tired of being foolish in life? Amaechi as DG couldn't get 25percent in Rivers in 2015,2019 but oshiomhole got about 42percent for the Apc in 2015,2019 in the same south south region with Amaechi. Try get small sense and stop disgracing yourself all over the place.

I do not think David Umahi has a legal Adviser or his brother isn't doing him well.

First, he went to the FHC on Friday to get a stay of execution and compel INEC to monitor, on a case that is already on appeal.

Second, the Court said he cannot participate because he contested the Presidential election, it is a valid order of the Court even though it won't stand in higher Courts but he didn't appeal.

Third, he said his brother withdrew, but the same Austin participated in this particular election and got 10 votes. They placed him second, so that Incase the Court recognises the new one and disqualifies the older Umahi, at least the younger one placed second. So why is there a re-run in the first place?

Fourth, 2 other persons who didn't participate in the first one now participated in this one and got votes too. I don't understand!

Very laughable..... We will see what the higher Courts will do but from my understanding of similar cases in the past, O lule.

Let's see what happens from here. Very many knotty issues.
