So sorry for your ordeal bro. When you come back online, note the following tips. We've shared it before, but for your sake lemme type again. Please note that this works for me and my least rating was 4.74. Present rating is 4.98. Activity 96%. 1. Always ACCEPT ALL TRIPS even when you don't intend going on the trip due to distance or pick-up location or destination. Just accept. If you don't intend going, and the rider refused to cancel, just slide arrive and wait till it starts reading PAID WAITING. It's usually 5mins. But someone said it's 3mins. Me, I cancel when paid waiting starts. And you should be good. 2. ALWAYS KEEP YOUR CAR CLEAN. After every ride, tilt your head towards the back seat to see if the previous rider littered or dropped anything. If you have to park to dust your carpet for sand or litter and dust your seats, please do it. The 60secs you spend in cleaning your car would pay in the long run. For a little extra, have a can of a nice air freshener in your car which you can spray occasionally to keep your car smelling fresh, that's if you don't have those block air fresheners. 3. Keep your car in good condition. AC cooling, suspension noice etc should be in check. 4. Be polite. The Good morning or afternoon or evening you greet a rider when he/she enters your car would not kill you. You don't need to wait for them to greet you when they enter your car. Have a good day (MORNING) or Enjoy the rest of your day (AFTERNOON - EVENING) or Have a good night (NIGHT) are good ways to part ways with your rider. You don't need to ask them to rate you. 5. DON'T FIGHT WITH YOUR RIDER. This one can't be overemphasized enough. Truth is, there are times a rider would piss you off. Just take it in good stride. No rider would go with you to your house, so worst case scenario, you'll spend a couple of hours with them. Just tolerate them. 6. Abeg these ones don do. Follow these ones and you should be fine. 14 Likes 2 Shares |

Kanoski: That 5K bearing you bought MIGHT be the Chinko bearing. Same thing happened to me early last year. I bought the cheap one, it didn't last up to 2weeks. I bought it for 4K then. I had to buy the 'original' one for 8K (then o, it could be more expensive now). I've forgotten the name. Since then, I've had no issues. Meanwhile, guys please has anyone experienced and resolved this kind of issue? Anytime I'm in STATIC TRAFFIC for long (say 30mins or thereabout) and in the sun and AC is on, my car begins to pulse. After a while, if the traffic is still static, it jerks (not violently, just slightly). If the traffic still continues, it could jerk and go off. If I start the car, it starts normally and it continues the pulse-jerk sequence. The first time I noticed it, the engine was overheating (from the dashboard indicator). I've since changed the radiator. Now when it happens, the needle is usually in the normal position (middle). Any ideas? |

pope191: Your gist just dey make me laugh. Just forget that one, e don go be that. Last week, I picked up a girl at Milverton Estate, she was going to pick up her mum at GIG. On our way there was a little bit of traffic and the mum was already getting impatient. Meanwhile this was supposed to be a return trip. This girl and her mum had a back and forth on the phone, the girl was shouting at her mum that she's coming and all that. Las las she got angry and told me to make a u-turn at VGC. Apparently the mum had booked a ride to take her home. On our the mum called and told her to wait so she asked me to stop. We were around Eleganza by then. The mum came and the girl said she was going to join her mum's ride so I should end the trip. Trip ended at N1,400. "Oga please o, I'm only with 1K. I even came out with it to buy card. I was supposed to transfer to you but bla bla bla... Please take the 1K when I get home, I'll transfer 5H to you. Please text your account number to me." Me I was already angry as I would have to go through traffic again. I collected 1K and she left. When I got home I texted her my account number. The next morning I called her since I didn't get anything. She didn't pick. I called her several times later she didn't pick. She later picked when I called with another number and when she finally knew who I was, she was like, "Oga, I WILL SEND YOU YOUR N400. My network has been bad since yesterday". It was not what she said but how she said it. She said it with this condescending tone like Is it because of common N400 that you're disturbing me? I just ended the call and that was the end of it. #thethingswetolerate 4 Likes |

Felicity001: This your story made me remember what happened like two weeks ago. That day, I swear I remembered you. I say na you go fit do this kind thing. I don't know what transpired between the driver and the rider before then, but when I drove past, I saw that the driver came out of the car and began hitting the rider in the front seat. It appeared he wanted to open the door but the rider locked the door from inside that's why he was hitting him. In a swift move, the rider moved to the driver seat, and tried driving off. The driver began hitting the car and a bike guy tried blocking the guy. We were in traffic but it was moving slowly and this guy was reversing, driving forward, hitting anything in his path. The driver was trying to hold his car, in the process he broke his side mirror. The thing be like film that day... So Bros, abeg be calming down... 2 Likes |

Pearl1910: Definitely just your imagination. My card is on my wife's account and I get debited everytime I can't pick her up from work. Always same amount, except for one time when a driver did SAKA tinz and arrived 15mins before he picked her. 1 Like |

eherbal: Increase in card trips? Hmmm... All through last week, I had just about 2-3 card trips. Some riders complain of debits when trip is not even completed and all those issues associated with unnecessary debits. |

kanuisagoat: I've been getting similar complaints of late. What I simply tell them is to report the trip to Bolt and explain in details how the driver told them a higher fare amount than the displayed fare. I even had to show a lady how to do it. It's so annoying when you hear reports like that because it makes riders begin to distrust drivers. In fact for the lady in question, she insisted I confirmed the payment on my end so that it would be displayed on her end before she made payment. She explained why and after confirming she was paying cash, I confirmed the payment before she actually paid. What if she was transferring? So I'll be there dragging and talking long story because she didn't trust the system due to what a fraudulent driver did? It's rubbish!!! |

Sakamanjeh99: Mine happened on a Sunday during December. Soji everywhere and I was my way to pick up a rider. I say make I buy fuel before I go pick. I put off the car and after buying the fuel, the car refused to start. I try tire, it refused to come up. They had to push the car to one corner. Finally got it fixed after more than 2hours. It was a very annoying experience. Since then I've learnt my lesson like you are just learning now. Whenever you hear that 'weeeein' sound or 'kekekeke' sound before your car finally starts, just know it's time to work on your Kickstarter before you get stuck in a wrong place. 2 Likes |

peeps4u: I watched the lady's video and read the guys version. Las last ehn, it's just to pray to avoid devils as riders, and annoyingly, they are mostly females (no offense to the female folks here). Most times these (bad) rider's tend to bring out the beast in you and sometimes it gets frustrating. True, we have some uncultured drivers, but it's more in riders than drivers. May God help us. 2 Likes |
