141samuel: Is this the one they advertised for promo at 2.5M? If yes, then it's good for a NEW car. But then, how available and/or cheap would the parts be, considering the fact that it is made in Nigeria and not imported? Abeg, anybody don use IVM for here before? 1 Like |

Some days we meet devils in the form of riders, other days we meet some who remind us that there's still hope left for humanity. So yesterday I got a request. I called to confirm the PU location and the voice of the lady sounded so weak and frail. I felt perhaps it was one of those ladies with tiny voices. Got to PU and she got into my car. Greeted her but she didn't respond. It raised a flag in my head. I told her I was starting the trip and she just muttered Ok. As I started the trip, Gmap told me the trip would last for 65mins. On our way, the lady was breathing heavily, visibly uncomfortable. She tried laying on the chair in different positions as I watched from the rear view mirror. I asked her if she was ok and she said she was feeling unwell. All that was going through my head was, 'make person no come die for my motor o'. I was just running different scenarios in my head and praying. Whenever I notice she's 'asleep', I make a maneuver or brake sharply and that would make her open her eyes, and I breathe a slight sigh of relief and my prayers continued. Ten minutes towards the end of the trip, she was fully awake but still visibly weak and she started giving me directions to her house as she lived in the interiors. I finally ended the trip and the amount was N2,900. She ruffled through her bag and gave me N2,500. She told me that was all she had in her bag but she'll go in and tell someone to bring the balance of N400 for me. I said, 'no problem'. In my head, 'thank God say this trip don finish'. I would have left the N400, but she said she was sending someone to bring it so I waited. I waited for close to 5mins and when I noticed no one was coming from the compound, I drove off. This morning, I got a call. She was like, 'please sir are you the one that dropped me off yesterday with the navy blue Camry?' I told her I dropped her off yesterday but I drive a black Corolla. I told her she was obviously very ill that's why she didn't notice. She said that was true and asked if anyone brought money for me because she asked them this morning and no one seemed to have claimed to give me the money that was why she called. I told her I didn't see anyone and asked her how she was faring. She said she was better and apologized profusely for them not bringing the money to me and told me to send my account details. In my head, 'for just N400' Hmmm, that's interesting... I sha sent it, and she sent 1K. Bottom line is, not all riders have bad minds. Always look for the good in people until they prove otherwise. 25 Likes |

Llbhons: My account was registered in Lagos. Sometime last year (I think), I went to Ibadan. I went online just to see if I could be online in IBADAN and in less than a minute, I got a request. Don't know if it still works or if it was just a one off thing. But you could do your FIRST REGISTRATION in Lagos and see if it would work. If it doesn't, you can always do for Ibadan too. 2 Likes |

Crvrider: I only experienced this once when I picked up a lady and her two kids. She was like I should wind down for security reasons. We later picked her husband though and the glass went back up. Most riders like it when your car is tinted. The only question they ask is if police don't disturb me. When tinting, it shouldn't be dark all through. The back could be very dark while the front could be lighter. I find it funny when guys tint the front glass with the very dark one then cut out a circle for the side mirror. 7 Likes |

northbird: I never got to drive on Uber. I got stuck on the document upload phase with the insurance upload. I didn't even bother anymore till the documents expired which they kept reminding me of. For Indriver, I registered but I couldn't wrap my head around parking and 'applying' for trips. It just didn't work for me. On Bolt, you can get your trips on the go and even before the ride ends, and oh, plus surge. Now ehn, to go on 'surgeless' trips dey do me wan kind for body. Anyways, get some rest guys, by 3 we moove again. 9 Likes |

chillex8: shollywendy1: Hmmm, brethrens... No be small matter. #MyLekkiFloodExperience So I dey see blood everywhere I dey happy, based on my motivation na. After a few trips, rain started. Then it became very heavy. I picked up a lady from Lekki phase 1 to Milverton Estate. Before I left Lekki, the flood was building, but e never bad. Before I dropped off the lady, another request came in, back to Lekki. Dropped of the guy and he went in. Meanwhile another trip had already come in back to Osapa. The guy I dropped off then called that someone was coming out to meet me. Meanwhile the lady going to Osapa called and I told her to wait. The guy then came and was like I should carry him. He was not able to request a ride bla bla bla. I told him I already had someone waiting for me. He was like it's just in front, it's not far. I'll just drop him and go and pick the girl. I said 2K to put him off. He was like, ah ah, that's too much. He'll give me 1K. To cut the long story short, there was traffic. The guy was like should he give me 5H to drop him half way so that I can go pick the girl since she was calling persistently. I agreed. There was traffic at the turning I was supposed to take so he said I could take an alternative route that is shorter. BIG MISTAKE. I took the route. I thought it was just normal water till it was too late. I couldn't go back. I felt if I kept going it would reduce. Na lie o, it kept getting deeper. It got to a point where I couldn't go back, I just had to forge ahead. Before I knew what was happening, I saw water in my car like Davit said. Chai! I wan cry. That's how I lost 3K because of 5H. I finally left Lekki. I couldn't take trips because my car was flooded. I couldn't park to clean it because it was raining heavily. I couldn't go offline because there was blood in the sea. Wetin I go come do? 7 Likes |

BAZ001: 10mins (Paid waiting) = N400 10mins (On trip without distance) = N110 Waiting without starting the trip actually pays better and it gives one the liberty to cancel. I met a newbie who experienced this and I explained this. Just thought to share. 2 Likes |

As a driver, a rider tells you "I'll be down in 10mins, but you can start the trip so that your time would count." If you are sure the rider would come for the ride, would you start the trip? |
