izzou: Hmmm... Bros, it is well sha. After I don talk say dem no go enter me this 2021. So I picked up one girl this morning. She was going to Balogun Market. In my head I was like "drop her and zoom off", since that's what I normally do on that axis. The place I wanted to drop her wasn't where she was going to so I had to go and turn round again. When she finally saw the entrance of Balogun market where she was going, there was no place to park so I had to go ahead. She started complaining that I was taking her away from where she was going bla bla bla. I just said I should find small clearing make she drop o. As I was trying to clear, I had already ended the trip and she had paid cash. Immediately I stopped and she came down and closed the door, I saw a lastma guy in front of my car. He was pointing at a NO STOPPING, NO WAITING board behind a woman selling something. I obviously didn't see it before then. The lastma guy just stood in front of the car, so I couldn't move else I hit him. I tried pointing that the woman blocked the sign and there was no way I'll have seen it and still parked there. He still stood in front of my car. One of them in mufty then came to the window, I thought he was those agbero guys. He was Iike should lower the window and give him small thing to help him beg the guy and all. I lowered my window small o, before I could say jack, the guy slid his hand through the small space, unlocked the car and sat inside and said I should move forward to park. We moved without the lastma guy. I tried parking close by to NEGOTIATE. The guy said I should drive forward. He was just directing me till we cleared from that Balogun area and he told me to park. Meanwhile, I didn't even know the other lastma guy was on bike following us. Immediately I parked, the guy removed the key and came down to meet the lastma guy who then joined us. All the while I was pleading with them to negotiate so that I'll settle them there or something. They didn't even answer me. Before I knew what was happening, we were at their CAR PARK at Sura. In the end, thank God for IFSHR who came to my aid. I met another UBER guy there. He paid 17K + 1.5K for gate fee with abeg o. His offense? His belt had issues on EKO BRIDGE so he had to park to check it. They towed his vehicle there. After paying them, he still had to buy belt plus adjuster wahala. I just left my own problem dey sorry for the guy. In my presence more than 20 vehicles were driven in or towed into that place. I saw one other corrola that was towed. They scattered the bumper without mercy. It well sha. #Lessonslearnt 5 Likes |

kanuisagoat: Hmmm... Na dem sabi sha. Like I've been saying, BOLT needs to do proper orientation for riders because unknown to them, it affects drivers earnings. If a ride was smooth, driver didn't put you harm's way, you felt safe all through the ride, you were comfortable, no foul smell or odour, AC didn't blow hot air, I see no reason why you should rate a driver below 5stars. Except for riders who are looking for a limousine-like or a rangerover-like ride for a Corolla price. 4 Likes |

Bammzzie: On normal winter days you can make like 35 - 40K, but on abnormal winter days, you should be able to make at least 28K... Meanwhile this rating matter... How my rating would drop from 4.90 this morning to 4.78 is still a mystery to me. And you guys would say it's not because I cancelled (I cancelled one trip today without waiting), but rider's rating. But I didn't have any bad ride na? (Or so I thought) Anyways, we move... |

iyaegin: So in your opinion, how long is too long to wait for a trip? P.S: I once waited for a trip for more than 20mins after normal waiting time. When I finally able to reach rider on phone, the line she gave me was, "Oh sorry, I thought I cancelled". Or the one that just cancelled abrubtly without even calling after I waited for 12mins? After all those experiences, my MAX waiting time now is 10mins. After that, I'm gone. If I was the one that cancelled and your trip comes in again and it's during WINTER, and I'm not far, I'll go back, but if NOT I'll not take the ride. I don't mind losing that one. |

kanuisagoat: #PainfulthingsforBoltDrivers I got a request today. Rider called, gave code for the gate, I got to her house, slid on "Arriving Now", called her to let her know I was there and she said she was coming out. Shey to come out no suppose pass like one minute na? Two minutes of WAIT TIME went, she was not out. Wait time over, PAID WAITING don start, she didn't come out. I tried calling and her phone mysteriously didn't go through. 3mins of PAID WAITING and she sent a message "I'm on my way out now." I was about cancelling at about 5mins when I didn't see her, but then I was like "Na WINTER we dey o", just be patient. So in my mind, I was like, HIGHEST 10mins, if she was not out, I'll cancel. 10mins gone, this girl never show. 11mins, 12mins, I was like mehn f*ck it! I slowly crawled out of the street looking at my rear view mirror, hoping to catch a glimpse of her coming out of her gate, then I reverse, start trip at least I'll get "waiting money". I didn't see her, and I cancelled the trip. 30seconds later, I got another trip and she was the was one calling. Blablabla, I tried calling you, I forgot the remote of the gate so I had to go back, I couldn't find it, I'm so sorry blablabla... I sha turned back, I no fit use vex miss both ways. But waiting money no follow. 2 Likes |

Please guys, try driving safely out there. Na God dey save us everyday sha, but we have to help ourselves too. Passed by an accident on Jubilee bridge this afternoon. The front of the Corolla was gone. I saw about 3 cars involved, so I think one of them braked suddenly and the Corolla rammed into the one in front of him. I'll probably never know how it happened, but all I was just thinking about was how the owner and driver of the car would be feeling, that's if the driver (and rider(s) if there were) were not hurt and in the hospital. After seeing that, on getting to Agungi, two Dangote trailers were on high speed, blaring their horns and waving through the traffic like mad men. Me I just jejely 'ya' for them o, make dem carry their wahala go. By the time we got to Ikate, one of them tried beating the traffic light and BRUSHED the back of an SUV. Na TRAILER brush o, so you should have an idea of its effect. The guy did not even wait, he continued going with speed. Last last sha, he was caught at the traffic light before Freedom way. I saw the two trailers parked ahead and saw people pursuing a man back toward us. Apparently, he was blocked by other cars that saw what happened and he tried running on foot in a bid to escape. I nearly hit him before he was caught. So guys, abeg while driving, if you see TRAILER, TIPPER, BRT BUS, DANFO, POLICE VAN, POLICE HILUX, MILITARY HILUX, VIP MOTORCADE, just jejely 'ya' for them, because last last, na 19 Likes 1 Share |

davit: But na true na, she no be KD. You for collect money for KD hand. Mad people everywhere. But on a more serious note, that's one of my issues with BOLT. They don't carry out sensitization on their riders. We understand that it would be difficult and stressful to train riders just like they train drivers. The least they could do is send out regular newsletters or mails concerning proper etiquettes before ordering a ride, during the ride and after the ride. Some riders don't know why they have to rate. Some don't even know the rating affects the driver directly. Some have this NIGERIAN LECTURERS mentality that "A" (5stars) is for God, so matter how nice and cool the ride went, they'll still rate below 5stars. Some riders would be waiting for the driver to call after requesting a ride, without understanding that the driver was probably on the highway when the request came in and was accepted and it would be difficult to place a call immediately (That's one my major issues with INDRIVER by the way). Some riders feel they "PAY" for the TIME/DURATION of the ride, so they can decide to Some don't know how to pinpoint their exact location on the MAP when requesting a ride and inputting their destination, thereby making it difficult for the driver to easily pickup (Me I don't even stress. Once I discern that you didn't input your pickup correctly, and you can't give me a consise description using a LANDMARK, and it's not a trip that would "make sense", I just cancel the trip. I can't kill myself). These and many more issues are what riders don't understand. BOLT should do more in sensitizing riders to make life easier for drivers. 10 Likes |

Morning guys! Who's up for a CHALLENGE? This time, no one is giving you any thing or any free money but we get to motivate ourselves and get paid at the end of the year. It's quite simple. The challenge is themed "3K to 1M". You get to SAVE 3K everyday of the year and by December 20, you should have saved free 1M to flex the holidays or pay part payment for a piece of land or do something you really need cash for. THAT'S APART FROM YOUR NORMAL OR REGULAR SAVINGS. The platform I chose is PIGGYVEST because it's a safe and secure platform, and when push comes to shove, you can always withdraw your money and get paid instantly. I had this idea last year and started but didn't go through with it. This is the beginning of a new year and this is one of my CHALLENGES. If you are not registered on Piggyvest, sign up with the link below. After signing up or if you are already signed up, search for "3K to 1M". That's the name of the challenge. PROBABLY at the end of each month we could post dashboards to motivate others since it's real money and not phantom money you might not be able to account for. The truth is, this is probably going to be a rough and tough journey, but together we can do this. PS: You get to have free "useable" 1K in your dashboard when you sign up with this link. Let's do this guys! Sign up with https://www.piggyvest.com/?newref=1&ref=27de5c6bcb1120 1 Like

Pearl1910: 1. Let's carry out an experiment. Try declining or cancel 5 - 7 trips without waiting for the 5mins. Let's see if it would affect the rating. 2. If you worked yesterday, check if the bonus would show. 1 Like |

kanuisagoat: I'm still of the opinion that cancellation and declining of trips affects your ratings. The period my rating gained from 4.83 to 4.98, I religiously accepted ALL trips and waited for 5mins for those who refused to cancel. But the next week, I felt I was wasting too much time. I cancelled, I declined. Ratings dropped like wildfire to 4.80. It then built again to 4.83. Yesterday, I cancelled and declined. Then one woman probably rated me low yesterday. I got the request from Christ Embassy Lekki. The guy said I was to take some boxes of books to their branch at Ajah. I thought it was just like 2 or 3 boxes. Got there and it was 12 or thereabout. I told the guy I couldn't go but then again I changed my mind because it was ×1.9surge. I got down and helped the guy in loading and realized too late that the boxes were quite heavy. I don accept, I don accept. In my mind, lemme just blow to Ajah and drop them. I got to the church at Ajah and drove in. Called the lady I was to drop it off for but she wasn't around so she called someone else to meet me. I opened the boot and was waiting for them to call the security guys or anyone to offload the car. The security guys said I would be the one to offload the boxes and take it to the store. What?!? E be like say una dey mad for here sha! I called the woman and she said I should give the phone to the security. They were talking on and from my analysis, they wouldn't touch those boxes. Chai, I don enter one chance. I quickly offloaded the boxes close my car and called her back for my money. She was like, why am I angry, that drivers usually help her offload. I was like WTF!!! When the security guys are there? I would load and offload It is well sha... We move... 3 Likes |
