Some riders are just out to frustrate you and spoil your day. So first trip when I came out, called Rider and she gave me her location. But the first thing she said was WHERE ARE YOU?, even when I greeted Good morning, she didn't respond. Ok o. Got to the gate and I called her to call the gate. She said she was going to come out, so I parked outside and slid on arrived. Before I knew what was happening, I saw Paid waiting 10mins. What I tried her number, it was not going through. Security now came to check boot. I went in but the security didn't give the right direction. Got to where security directed me to and called, no response, then network became spotty, then she picked I couldn't hear her. Meanwhile paid waiting don dey enter 15mins. She called again and I tried describing where I was and I asked her what road she was. She was like "R16" or something, I was like let me ask someone and she was like you don't even know where you are. (For my mind, you dey mad? You direct me?). I shaa no talk. I asked someone and the person told me to ask for the exact ROAD in the estate. I called her back and asked her, she was talking and I couldn't hear, so I ended the call to call her back. Then she called back. Rider: Oga, that thing wey you just do, wey I dey talk you just end call for my ear, no ever try am, I no be your wife. Me: You dey MAD. You no even reach half of my wife. Cancelled ride, Waka comot. Bad trip avoided... Some riders are mad sha. 21 Likes |

toomush: Trust me, I have "NO NO" places more than you. But rule of the thumb is, always accept ALL trips whether you intend on going on the trip or not. Then call Rider to confirm the destination. If you can go, proceed to pickup. If you can't, politely tell the rider to cancel and request another ride. My personal line is: "I'm sorry I'm not going towards that direction. Kindly cancel and request another ride." It works most times. Some would be wise enough to cancel. Wait for some seconds to see if they would. If they don't, slide on "Arriving Now" no matter how far you are. After the waiting period, you can cancel with rider didn't show or phone number not available. Remember, always ACCEPT all trips. But then again, what do I know 5 Likes 1 Share |

dckng16: Very true especially when it rains and it is covered... It nearly fell into the trap the last time I was there. I was fortunate today sha... I woke up in good spirits and decided to go out. It didn't look like it was going to rain. First trip came in. Destination: Mainland (Igando around Egbeda). Me wey no dey go mainland before, but with scarcity of trips, I say make I go come back Island. Trip went well, without AC, so less fuel. When I got there, it was very SUNNY, meanwhile it was raining heavily on the Island. Did a few trips on the mainland then got a request back to the Island and it had already stopped raining. In all, today was good. We thank God. We shall overcome. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Gentlelife50: Do you use the e-tag? If you do, the toll MIGHT be deducted from your account even when you pay with cash. So you've NEVER been without change? If you have, what did you do aside from the rider leaving the change for you? |

northbird: Hmm... Recharge topup. I never even thought about that. That's something I'll definitely try. Some weeks ago, I dropped off a lady in the night. Ride ended N1700. She gave me 2K. I didn't have N300. Me: I'm sorry I don't have change. Do you have N200 so I can give you N500? (I had 5H). Rider: I don't have (with a frown on her face). That's how you guys do. You'll always say you don't have change so that we would leave the change for you. Me: Madam that's ridiculous. I genuinely don't have change. If I did, I'll give you. Rider: Bla Bla Bla... Me: You know what, take... (Giving her the 5H) Rider: (Collecting it...) What do we do, I don't have N200. Me: Don't worry, you can go. Have a good night. Rider: Oh, thank you... Lagos flood wahala. I didn't even bother going out yesterday as I anticipated how it would play out with flood, traffic and all. I faced it sometime last month at OSAPA LONDON and Lekki around Fola Osibo... My car was practically floating in that Osapa. That place na rubbish for rainy season abeg. I had to remove the seats and the rug the next day. It was not a funny experience. Meanwhile, how do you guys deal with riders when you don't have change? I try as much as possible to have change with me but sometimes it just happens and you have no change. CC: pope191, Felicity0001 northbird et al. 1 Like |

Beng1234: Bros, no vex o, what the guys above are saying is, from this NET, how much were you able to SAVE or KEEP after deducting FUEL (especially), TOLLS, FEEDING e.t.c assuming you own the car. In the past, I buy like 4-5K fuel a day and with that I can get like 10 - 15K after all deductions. But these days, if I buy same, na 3-5K I fit carry go house (on a good day). 6 Likes 1 Share |

Felicity0001: This is one bad thing about Bolt. Similar thing happened to me on Saturday. I was already at the rider's PU and the 5mins had already elapsed. I called the rider and it was ringing when I got the ORDER CANCELLED beep. I waited thinking the same request would drop on me, but another request entered and rider was heading to one of my NO GO AREAS. I'm sure if that was an Uber trip, they would have given cancellation fee. 2 Likes |

Sometimes ehn, some riders are just out to frustrate someone. So this morning, after spending like 1hour plus without request, I decided to go back home. On my way home, a request came in. PU was in an estate on the other side of the road but I had to make a U-turn about 800m ahead, and there was heavy traffic. I called rider and she described where she was. I told her where I was and that there was traffic and it would take about 10mins to get to her. The other side of the road was free so I just had to make the U-turn. After spending about 15mins in traffic and making the U-turn, I was about turning into the road leading to her estate when I heard a beep. "RIDER HAS CANCELLED THE ORDER!". And she didn't even call to confirm where I was before she cancelled. I now had to make a turn into the traffic again. Annoying people everywhere... 11 Likes |

izzou: I'm not sure Bolt breaks it down even to riders. I just know on Bolt, Lagos is divided into 'zones', e.g Ajah, Lekki 1, Lekki 2, Ikoyi, Lagos Island e.t.c. If you are taking a trip within a zone it should be between N500 - N700. But from one zone to the other, a N500+ charge is made on the ride. I no know sha o, just rough analysis on estimates on rides... 1 Like |

dapotemi: Wow... Firstly, is Law School not a bus stop? Why would they arrest you for parking there? Then thank you for rescuing someone in need. One would not understand the pain you go through when you fall into their trap. And then when you start begging them, they begin to feel like gods... People that ordinarily would can't even stand to talk to you... It's annoying jor. Thank God for your wife. You entered the Lion's den and came out unscathed. 5 Likes |

Bolt users wey dey drag change with person, na dem wan tip you?? Since I began driving, apart from a few cases where I didn't have change (as I always keep change) and the rider left the change, I have been tipped just ONCE. I was even surprised. The trip was N500. The lady gave me N500 and was frantically looking for change to tip me, and she gave me N200. I smiled. Nigerians really don't have the culture of tipping for services. 2 Likes
