50% of the reason I watched this match was because of Arnau. I wanted to see why Barca was Interested in him and why fans hype him up. And I can say I wasn't disappointed. I wanted to quit the match in the first 15mins sef cos it was so boring at first. I also wanted to see a bit of Raphinha and this dude na total calamity. Same as ansu. I don write these ones off till next season.

Today's match was meant to be a rotation and I support Xavi for that. Just that things hasn't go one as planned.

That's why Pedri was initially rested as well as Christensen and Balde.

I feel "The Oscars" have put their selves in a bind here with the Andrea Riseborough nom, If they let it go ahead = PR mess, if they rescind it, this close to the awards = A bigger PR mess and frankly the movie isn't worth these trouble, i have seen better "Drunken and down to the last luck Mother road to redemption" flicks. I even skipped it last year, it was the oscar buzz that made me see it.

The Michelle Williams "category fraud" talk is that she didn't have enough screen time and meaningful arc in the the movie ( afraid to mention the name because of the elephant in the room 😭😭), which for some reasons, i still haven't seen so, i can't really judge but She's a very dynamic actress and with four norms already which were stellar performances and she would have stood a better chance in the "Supporting actress category" because my last dime is on either Cate Blanchett or Michelle Yeoh grabbing the best actress nod this year.

Anyways, the oscar imo is losing credibility and relevance, with each passing year. Was it not last year here they had that PR disaster between Chris Rock and Will Smith?. I am definitely sure this year will serve up another judging by all the drama we are witnessing now.

Oscars is really trying hard to push themselves out of relevance with their own hands this year. The views keeps dropping and that's the most likely reason they tried to include crowd pleasers and box office powerhouses like Top Gun and Avatar 2 and Black Panther in the nominations. My only issue is the criminality in omitting The Batman for Best Score ans Cinematography.
What's even more surprising is how Paul Dano missed out on Best Supporting for The Batman or missing out for Best Actor for the Michelle Williams movie.
This year is more controversial than the past few years and more damning. Will Smith/ Chris Rock brouhaha to me even brought some significant amount of viewership to last year's Award, despite the few negativity. It's funny the Oscars is gonna be available for live streaming this year.

To me Michelle is the lead actress nevertheless and she put up a great performance. She IS a major focal point in the movie that's why I don't understand people's twitter rants.

The one nomination I'm questioning is what is Barry Keoghan doing in Best Supporting Actor. Cos me I no see wetin him play wey everybody dey hype am. I've seen way more and better this year. His performance was really good but Oscar nom worthy? I think not.

Sure Blanchett and Yeoh are definitely the ones to win Best Actress. I'm not bothered if Michelle lost out, they were better. It reminds me of WB's tactical wisdom in putting Daniel Kaluuya and Keith Stanfield both in Best Supporting Actors last year. 😃

This year Oscars is very much troubled especially when you see there's another section of online rants that feels this year was unjust to women. They feel women directed movies were snubbed (both for Best picture & director). And there's also the racial discrimination discussion with this Riseborough nomination.

Lol, yeah, Chainsaw Man is kinda weird but it really gets good at episode 5&6. It's a great anime.

You're not just used to that trope yet that's all.

You can add Castlevania if you haven't watched it. It's not anime but anime inspired. Just 4 seasons but shorter than your average anime on episodes count. It's top tier entertainment.

Started the first 25mins yesternight and most of what I could see was cringe. E just dey soap opera-ish for my eyes.

The only reason I'm back for it is because I cherish the show and the characters but this movie is looking very weak AF in comparison to the show.
But mehn, that Malia actress is cute AF. I've always admired her, her @ss in the first minutes of the film was GOLD.

Early days yet tho.

I do not trust audience score for one reason; Most of them don't even know what makes a good movie. For them it's mostly about how much they enjoy it. So if a movie is bad but they enjoy it the score is high and if it's good but they don't enjoy it, their score is low. Also, audiences do not give high ratings to movies whose content they do not really understand.


I also use to disregard RT but then I realise that I've never watched a movie or series with RT ratings of 70% and above then go "This movie is shit" even when it's not my kind of movie, even when I don't like what the movie is about.


Metacritics is the review site I actually trust the most cos for a movie to get 70% on that site, it's really good. The night house for example have 88% rating on RT but I don't think it managed to get up to 70% on Metacritics.

If audience scores were that important, people won't be _bitching everytime RT scores downgrades a new project. IMDb would have been the preeminent review site if it was that accurate.

Audiences don't really know how to rate their entertainment. Something can be very boring but very good at the same time. Shame movie reminded me of this. For an average watcher, that film is sure getting a downvote for not delivering on enjoyment.

I've almost never been let down by RT with a 70% upwards score. Only time it was iffy was with A24's The Green Knight, still it was average to me (wasn't trash) and good in some aspects even tho I didn't really like it.


Metacritic normal na very stingy review aggregator. If you get 70% and above for there, you go do Thanksgiving. 😂😭

Dude brought Rotten Tomatoes rating for the Terminal List with his audience score agenda and then refused to bring the same RT rating for Resident Evil cos him wan push agenda. Baba go find mumu reviews wey favor him narrative come post am give ppl. Cos I dey wonder who give Netflix resident evil remakes good ratings.

Even on IMDb wey dey give points for fun, na stupid score e get.

RT ratings have been controversial for a long time but still, one thing I've found true is that if a show or movie is rated around 30% it's definitely true it's rubbish. Audience score that is very prone to review bombing and whims of the audience. The only times where it holds up mostly true is when it's a project that doesn't have an already large following. Just an independent or original project. That way it's more neutral.

This one na perfect match to properly assess Zubimendi. 👀

I don't know who recommended this movie some pages back but i say thank you!

The movie started of with people of various demographic in a "circle" and each seemly dying randomly but they soon realise that they can actually vote for the next person to die, the innate racist, ignorant, heartless, homophobic, selfish and manipulative trait of humans is laid bare in a daring cat and mouse game to survive.

This might be the laziest movie to make because it was basically one scene but a good watch with dialogues lacied with dark humour.

I'm loving this plot but where the rating?

A24 is like the HBO of movies. They rarely miss. Only A24 film I've been bummed about was The Green Knight. The rest has been masterclasses.

Ari Aster is surely one director you can't joke with his films. This doesn't really look like the horror fare Aster is used to with films like Midsommar and Hereditary. It's looking like Everything Everywhere All At Once but with darker themes.

If A24 wins Best Picture with EEAAO, I'd be super excited. It's a complete underdog story.
