RomanceRe: Dilemma by InkedNerd(f): 12:19pm On Jan 03, 2011
@OP: You can still have sex with this young woman just make sure you use protection. As for the spit, although HIV can be transmitted through saliva, you'd have to swallow gallons on saliva for that to actually happen. If you two wanna engage in MouthAction, just make sure you have condoms and a dental dam for protection. I have a friend who is HIV positive and still has sex.

Meet me? kulyie, I'm in New York. Are you in New York as well? As for taking care of a nose piercing, I wouldn't have much knowledge about that but I would assume its the same way to take care of any other piercing. I did a lot of research before I got my VCH so from what I learned dabbing diluted sea salt water on the area helps with healing. I rarely did that though. For the most part, I just rubbed tea tree oil on my piercing and used soap and water to take care of it. I won't be getting my nose pierced till October of this year. The best person to ask about taking care of a nose piercing would be iice. I'm sure she can give you a lot more info than I can. By the way, not everyone uses tea tree oil. I just used it because I prefer to use natural products as opposed to commercial piercing products.

aburo a da fun e jare  kiss

Lots of different recipies in that thread. I think I may be able to get the black soap from our local shop (some of the disadvantages of living in a village outside London LOL)

What do you suggest that I can buy off the shelf for moisturising and giving the hair a little sheen?

Yesterday in church I felt like such a bad mum when I was dressed up to the nines with my gele and etc etc and  my dear beloved looked like an old granny with her hair cut into 4 lumps. Ni gbati ko gbe ori duro nko?    embarassed
Lmao, sorry I don't mean to laughbut >>> LMFAO. Your a good mom otherwise you wouldn't be here asking for help wink. Oh by the way, you might wanna stop using Vaseline on her hair. It clogs the hair shaft.

I noticed that jennykadry [sorry jenny, I wasn't tryin' to put your comment on blast embarassed] mentioned using a straightener on the hair but personally I'm against heat and chemicals. I rarely straighten or blow dry my hair. If you do decide on straightening her [your daughter's] hair make sure you use low heat and that you use some sort of heat protectant spray, balm, serum etc. to protect her hair from heat damage because sometimes the effects of heat damage can be just as bad as chemical damage. For the most part if you stick with hair butters and oils, you should have no problem in terms of moisturizing your daughters hair. And like Ileke-IdI said you some of those shampoos aren't good either. Try looking for sulfate-free shampoos when you buy shampoos for your little one. For more info, you can try this website. Its got tons of info on haircare for children of color >>> http://www.happygirlhair.com/ . If you'd like additional sites just let me know and I'll post them for you wink. And once again, stop beating yourself up over this. Your a good mom wink kiss

i think i need english lessons cos i think there is a lot of diff between these huh :

You even went so far as to say that those of us who have chosen to pierce or tattoo our bodies are deceiving ourselves

and

This topic is very subjective and i respect everybody's opinion on the matter. What i can't seem to understand is why some people say they dont care about what people think. C'mon that arrogance and self deceit. We are all social beings and we crave for acceptance no matter what. If we dont get accepted, we become very lonely and seemingly empty.so plzzz, stop deceiving your mind into believing that you dont care.

pls do not quote me out of context
Yes, I think so too. When you get those lesson, get back to me. And I wasn't quoting you out of context.

You said you take your time before getting involved.
Which to me means that it takes you a lot of time to find the right person, and an even longer time to feel comfortable with that person. So in the mean time, while still undergoing your lengthy period of familiarization, how do you shine your congo? Or do you allow your congo to become dull and overgrown with weed?

Body no be firewood, no be so them talk?
lol, how I shine my isn't important and no I don't allow it to become dill and overgrown with weed. Depending on the person, me shining my congo would be something I might explore.
CultureRe: Should 'osu Cast System' In Some Parts Of Igbo Land Be Abolished? by InkedNerd(f): 9:28am On Jan 03, 2011
@OP: Yes, I think it should be abolished. There is a family friend that my parents associate with and one day while this friend was at my parents house, he brought one of his children with him. While I was in the kitchen I jokingly told my mother that my bother had a crush on this friends daughter and that he's marry her. Immediately after I said that, she had this serious look on her face and said "No he won't. She's an osu and none of my children will marry an osu. Some families like to break social barriers and that's one barrier I don't intend on breaking". I even overheard my dad having a conversation with a friend and he said that he'd chase away any osu who'd attempt to to even show interest in marrying one of his children. You know the interesting thing about the osu's of today is that a lot of them are popular public figures. I think we should do away with this osu caste system. Even in India, they are gradually letting go of their caste system.
