Romance › Re: Does It Still Mean Anything? by InkedNerd(f): 9:02am On Jan 04, 2011 |
@OP: I once had a boyfriend who told me that he loved me and I broke up with him when he said it [not the same day though]. Him saying he loved me made me think about a lot of stuff about the relationship. I knew for sure that I didn't love him and it made me realize that I didn't even like him. I was honest with him and told him my reasons and we went our separate ways. I could never lie like that to a dude--it just put the relationship in an awkward position. |
@ Ink Nerd kindly call a spade a spade, shows u will because open relationship is same as cheating d diff is dt d former is 4 gals & d latter is guys,
No, its not cheating. Please do your research on what an open relationship actually is before you respond. As long a both parties are aware of the actions of one another and have mutually agreed that both individuals can step outside the primary relationship then it is not cheating.

Romance › Re: What Has This Got To Do With Dating Or Getting Married? by InkedNerd(f): 8:29am On Jan 04, 2011 |
rhymz: This topic has spiralled into jejune discussions of fancy and awe for body art mumbo-jumbo, feel all right and good with your individuality ish. . .yeah yeah yeah, it is hip, sexy, cool, shows individualism. . . bla bla bla. . Whatever mehn! You guys should come back to reality when you re done with all that pep talk and hot air abt how U dont give an Eff. . . Wonder why you lot went for it in the first place if you didn't give a 4ck abt anything. One will think, the people discussing are residents of red light district in El Dorado town of Utopia, Bullcrap! As long as you re all humans and you leave in planet earth with human beings and are guided by the morals of societal dictates, you damn well give a 4ck! I dont know why impressionable immigrants in the west always like to conclude that one is not exposed or educated when certain western values or ideas are questioned, rejected or dismissed. So because it is accepted there, it makes it ok for everyone else everywhere irrespective of whether it assaults one's sense of decency or a society's set of acceptable behaviour or morals. Wearing all that tatoos and pearcings all over only tells one thing to a majority of the people you come across(except of course a wanna be or sb that is already doing it or has done it and stopped) you re not decent or have good morals, it does not matter if they are wrong or not about their views of you but that is their mental estimate of your appearance to them. And you wonder why they treat you differently like trash? Or want to take advantage of you sexually? You may not want to care what anyone thinks but society is there to jolt you back into reality and remind you of its rules. Call it profiling, stereotyping but tell me who does not do it? Even you, do it. If you dress like a LovePeddler you will be accorded with the respect given to whores whether in retrospect the person begins to think otherwise of you is useless coz he would ve first made the mistake. You guys should get real abeg and stop gisting like the society is Hollywood where one commando single handedly destroys an army or where a prøstituting Julia Robert hooks up with this debonair rich dude, married him and they lived happily ever after. Even I as a man do not see anything wrong with people that do it, infact, I find them sexy and hip and the first thing that usually comes to my mind when I see a woman with tatoos and body piercings is usually the prospect of having easy sex with them and from that moment, that usually informs my attitude towards them, I get flirty, shower them with praises, make comments about liking their piercings and tatoos, pretend to like their individuality even go further to ask questions about it like am interested and about to get one. But that is where it ends, no matter how otherwise she tries to prove to me that she is not my average tatoo or piercing typecast, I am hardly convinced, to she is a pretty intelligent freak(i.e in the case she goes all the way to show that she is not my average stereotypical bimbo) because that is all a lot of the averagely intelligent women who wear tatoos and piercings do all the time they meet people-prove to you that they may be wearing all that but they are different from the majority weirdos that do thesame- and my response is usually non-commital, who cares about what you really are, do yourself a favour, take off those screaming body ostentations that makes you look like Marilyn Monroe then may be I will stop fantasizing what is in between those legs and not what is in between those ears. Lmfao, oh please.

Fashion › Re: Tattoos. by InkedNerd(f): 8:14am On Jan 04, 2011 |
clitzyy: Well I want a half sleeve of 'Our Lady of Guadalupe.' I would like to incorporate a lot of color.
If you sketch something out and send it to me I will let you know.
I spoke to someone else this past weekend and he said he could do it for around 300 USD.
How long have you been tattooing? What kind of ink do you use? Do you use single-use/disposable needles? Is your shop sterile? Hehehe, you really did your research.
I suggest you make two trips to the tattoo parlor while you're in Lagos before you decide to go ahead with anything. The first trip should be to take a look around the tattoo parlor and the second is to get a look at how to do their work [if they permit you to observe]. . . Or, you could just do it that all in one trip and just leave the second trip for if/when you decide to get this tattoo done.
Oh, by the way I noticed this thread so I thought I'd post it here >>> https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-578649.0.html
try keeping her hair in protective styles. twists, cornrows, braids etc. especially twists because they look really cute on kids.
everybody is different but for me, I don't use combs on my natural hair. the only times a comb touch my hair are few and far between. I use my fingers mostly but I make sure to use a good detangler so that it is easy to finger comb. Stop by at a whole foods supermarket. they have good quality products for natural hair and you can find a good detangler. Sephora store also has a section for natural hair. using comb on natural hair will be always painful. you have to be extremely gentle and have lots of time and patience. that's why I don't do it often.
Same here. I try to avoid combs as much as possible. Finger combin seems to be the best method for me. At times, I hate how my hair feels when I comb it .
chaircover: Thank you Thank you Thank you eveyone
I will try as many methods as I can & hopefully we will see a difference
I told her that I opened a thread about her on NL and she now thinks that she is famous & was so excited as she read some of the comments. (Thankfully the NL sexuality section is now censored)
Last night, I tried to undo the 4 lumps on her head ready for first day at school today but after the first Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa her dad came and rescued her (thats why I always try to do the hair when he is not around)
She is even lucky; growing up we had to go to these fulani people who lived on our street to have our hair plaited and they used to stick our heads between their legs and their wrapper . . . . I leave the rest to your imagination
. . . .and all of you praying that you dont have girls, I decree girl triplets for all of una Lmao |

emofine: Greetings Inked_Nerd
I'm currently living in the U.K. About the comparison with your father, it's kinda funny because quite a few Southern Nigerians I know particularly the Igbos were born and brought up in the North - and they loved the Hausa people. I believe we need more cultural exchange. Yes, you're right--we do need more cultural exchange. Do you speak or understand any of the languages of the North? |

**dancing around** for my future daughter's sake
I used to pity my sisters
lol, honestly I've only used that scary iron once in my life. The fist time I used one was when I was 18. After that, I never used it again. I barely know how to use a blow dryer properly--when I do use it, I only use the cold setting [just to dry my hair though]. My hair was natural most of my life so I can't really say I have a fear of the iron comb. Hehehe, as far as I'm concerned flat irons and iron combs are foreign tools to me . |
