I am back with my questions again, tanx for alwys bin there for me. I actually deferred my admission from fall to dis spring semester and i am expecting my new Form I-20 and i plan to chose late november for my interview since my sch resumes Jan9. My only concern is dat i have gotten d bank statement of my broda dat i intend to use and i find out he has just #7m in it and sch fees for d 1st year is like #4.5m, pls wat other document can i add to dis to convince d VO dat he is capable of sponsoring me. Likewise, i realise dat d bank statement balance flunctuate alot, dia was eveb a time he had like just 400k, 500k, 700k and co inside it, though he started wit 5m as opening balance in march. Pls, advice me, because my only concern as always bin d statement palaver. Also, hope i can still use d statement in november since i have printed it out now already. Tanx and God bless
The bank statement shouldn't be older than six month. If asked why early date, you could say you printed it the same day you sent a copy to your prospective school for the release of I-20. As for the cash flow in the statement, I don't think that should be a challenge because exigencies are ineluctable, anything can happen that warrant withdrawal of any sum. Relax and be courageous.

Succinct, belligerent, cursory, incontrovertible, obviate, impolitic,........ hmmmm, if truly you are prospective test taker of GRE, to ace the GRE verbal section shouldn't be much of a herculean task, only God knows the myriad of words I've learnt from scholars on this forum. My "small" advice to intending test takers, read actively on this forum, don't be shy to look up words that others have mentioned, that way you will "obviate" cramming which induces stress on your cerebellum. I learn at least 3 words per day on this forum. # I'm learning still#.
And I'm still observing, you guys should bring those words on.

Yes it's mainly for UG but some of the school's have spaces available for PG (masters) and they Michigan state University, University of california Berkeley and University of British columbia, these three offer PG under MCF.

I can't say much on your chances of getting in, Emphasis are placed on a good academic background, community service, need for Financial assistance and demonstrated potential and willingness to return to Africa and give back.

You have to check each schools webpage, read up on information, how to apply and if the available faculties applies to you and then you apply right away and then start praying, lol, who knows you just might be among the next set of PG MCF for 2015.
Good Luck.
Thanks a million, that explanation was explicit enough and it's second to none. Gracias Chrisviral

From the few previous pages I've read, it seems the MCF thing is meant for undergraduate studies alone. Please, I need enlightenment. What if I want to go for my masters -Arizona state University- what chance do I stand with this scheme. All the gurus pls, illuminate my dark path. Thanks in anticipation.

Nothing to say that to let the VO understand that he didnt prepare well and the latest version of textbook he order online via amazon got late to him and he used old version text book.. I hope this work out for you

Hope that will work and make sure you dont tell VO you applied to only one school..
Saying he didn't prepare well is tantamount to stating he is not equally prepared to study in the US because life exigencies are inevitable in academic setting . Well, late arrival of the ordered book would have made sense but still not cogent enough as he is expected to have ordered for it long before his exams date. In all, God will favour him to get the visa, it is not by GRE alone. Oga Walspring I salute u sir, I doff my heart for all the gurus including my mentor Slimmy05.

Oga dont com here and start sayin sometin u havent researched properly i knw of a student in Yabatech dat after graduating, he applied for transcripts (after result has bn issued to him), dats wen ur almighty sch cudnt find his file.

U want me to start mentioning schools, here they are:
Laspotech
Lasu
Unilag
UNN
Lautech
oou

if u apply for ur transcript in any of dis schools it taks forever to get it, n dis ar top placed schools in nija o.

Pls lets call a spade a spade Nigerian schools ar pure nonsense.
I strongly object that allegation that it takes unilag forever before they send students' academic transcripts to desired destination.
The thing is, it varies, if u have not applied before, it might take say 3weeks to send it but the subsequent ones do not take that long. From my experience, the first one took almost 3weeks and the second was less than a week. Please, unilag shld be exonerated from the transcript issue though they may have other flaws but on transcript.

Also, i need help from everyone here, what are the fundamental steps to applying for admission in Canada as I'm aware it's a bit different from the US application.

I sent mine for #12800. However, if your school is sending it directly it's kinda cheaper with a difference of 2800. A friend paid 10k to my school for shipping, same DHL though.

meekpie: Here's a partial transcript for your perusal sirs

Me: Good Morning

V.O: Good morning

. . . Long pause, lasted about 1 and half minutes or so, but seemed longer. The V.O seemed to be reading some information on his computer and typing very fast. I also used this opportunity to arrange my documents a little bit better. . . Finally he started asking questions;

He asked about my course and why I decided to go and study it, He asked about how I applied. . .If I wrote the GRE,
If I applied to any other schools,
Who's paying for my school,
Asked to see account statement,
Asked if I've been in the US before right? (Rhetorical). . . Went on to ask how long was the longest time I stayed during my trips to the US. . .

Finally, he reached to his right while saying to me "soo your Visa is approved, pick it up next week after the holidays". . .He also slid my I-20 back to me and said "You'll need this". . . All took less than 5 minutes I think. I said thank you very much and left. . .

Sorry about the shortened form folks, I'm pretty busy at work. It really didn't take very long at all even though it seems like the questions are quite a few. . .

Thanks to everyone in here. God bless you all.
Big congratulations bro. See you at the top. Go and succeed

Hi good people.
Now I'm getting worried and I need someone to allay my fears and worries.
I have submitted all supporting documents including test scores except Bank statement. The application is for spring 2015 semester. How long does it take US graduate schools generally to adjudicate on applicants' files. Do they review the files as they come in or will wait until after the application deadline set by the school? In three days we will be in October and time is running pretty quick. How long will I have to wait?
Thanks
