Since I was born and up until now, I've been receiving different gifts from different sources. However, I will talk about the greatest gift I received many years ago when I was still a very young teenager, that changed my life forever.

First of all, this gift was given to me by GOD Himself, and is best summarized in John 3:16 -

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

So, God has been loving me way before I was born. And what is the proof of His love for me? He gave me His pleasant Gift! The greatest Gift ever! What's the Gift? THE GIFT OF SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST!
Wow!

The greatest decision I made that transformed my life was when I decided to embrace His gift and surrender my life genuinely to Jesus Christ years back as a young teenager, making the decision to serve HIM and maintain a good relationship with HIM in spirit and in truth.

That decision changed everything about me, and my relationship with God empowered me in all important ways. Despite being a very young person, I could live above sin, the devil and hell. Hence, I couldn't even relate with addictions and heartaches and headaches that are prominent in the circle of many young folks.

I received the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is the prominent gift God is eager to give His begotten children (those who have received the gift of salvation) as a loving Father (Luke 11:13).

The greatest gift God is eager to give an unbeliever is salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. The greatest gift God is eager to give a child of His (i.e. a baby Christian) is the Holy Spirit. The greatest gift God is eager to commit to His sons (a mature believer who has received and is faithful with the gifts of salvation and the Holy Spirit) is the keys of His kingdom.

By accepting the gifts of God, I embraced a relationship with Jesus which set me on the pathway of destiny and purpose fulfillment early enough. Hence, I don't experience idleness, hopelessness, and helplessness. I've never been stranded in my life. The Holy Ghost empowered me for dominion.

Jesus is sweet.

The greatest decision you can make today is to accept the gift God has been offering you too. It starts by embracing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and you nurturing an intimate relationship with God your Father. This is what will empower you to live a life of complete dominion here on earth, and make you a sure candidate of Heaven (the rapture will take place anytime soon).

Run away from sin, and live your life for GOD. It is your destiny to live inside GOD through Jesus Christ Who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Only Jesus Christ could boldly proclaim: "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6).

If you want to submit to Jesus, simply say this prayer:

"LORD JESUS, I believe in my heart that You died for me and You raised on the third day for my justification. And so I confess with my mouth that You are my Lord and Savior. From today, I belong to the family of God. Thank You for giving me eternal life."

For various reasons, a lot of people keep doubting the existence of true love, since what is prominent in our world is lust, selfishness, deceit, hypocrisy, and the likes. However, from the scriptures, there have been proofs upon proofs that true love exists.

First of all, remember that God, the Supreme Creator is All-powerful and can do anything and everything. However, one of the most prominent expressions of God is Love. In fact, God is Love personified. Yes, God is Love. And since it is true that God exists, then it is true that Love exists. The existence of the True God is the existence of True Love.

A vivid proof that God has been showing, and will keep showing true love, can be found in John 3:16 -

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

God so loved the world (which includes you) way before you were born. God knows you before you were born, and He has been showing you love even before you were born. An expression of His love revolves around how He safeguarded you while you were in your mother's womb, and has blessed you with the gift of life to remain alive till today.

So, you are not loveless. You might have passed through different incidents that have made you doubt the existence of true love (hated, being deceived, taken for granted, jilted, betrayed, etc.). But I want you to know that even till this moment, God, your Creator is vehemently in love with you.

What is the proof of love? What is love without giving?

"For God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son..."

So, God put His Love for you into action by giving you the best Gift ever: He gave you Himself in Christ Jesus.

Wow!

Since humankind has embraced sin and death, God proved He didn't hate us by still deciding to come into the flesh to die for our sins! Wow!

True Love is when Jesus Christ decides to die for undeserving folks like you and me. "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans chapter five verse eight)

So, how should you respond to this love being shown you by God? Accept His Gift!

"...that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Simply accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, and your life will never remain the same again. You must be determined to forsake anything sinful, and simply pray:

"LORD JESUS, I believe in my heart that You died for me and You raised on the third day for my justification. And so I confess with my mouth that You are my Lord and Savior. From today, I belong to the family of God. Thank You for giving me eternal life."

After writing about "3 Sweet Things That Keep Sending Many Men To Their Early Graves" last week (https://www.nairaland.com/7809854/3-sweet-things-keep-sending), I believe it is appropriate to write a version for females too.

The female gender is a very graceful one, and womanhood is synonymous with sweetness and illumination. The devil is aware that as a woman, you have a God-given potential to cause serious havoc to his evil kingdom and agenda - hence he is always proactive in his attempts to bring you into trouble and hinder you from becoming all God has ordained you be.

As a historian, I discovered that history always repeats itself, and it is unfortunate that many don't learn from history. All over the pages of history, from one generation to another, certain things have been utilized by the devil to cut off many ladies from their place and bring them to destruction. Like I did last week, let me summarised these things into 3, namely:
1. Glory (Pride)
2. Gold (Love for money)
3. Guys (the Opposite gender)

Let's make brief comments on each of them:

1. Glory (Pride)

Pride is very dangerous. It demotes and destroys, and you must keep guarding your heart against it. Please, never start seeing nor conduct yourself beyond what you are in a proud manner, and don't let anything good that you have (be it beauty, wealth, fame, etc.) prompt you to look down on others and treat them as trash.

Insecurities and the desire to prove a point seem to be part of the leading agencies that pump pride in many ladies. Hence, as a lady, you should humble yourself under God and be submissive to Him.

Just like I told the men, it is pride to think you own your life and that you can live life without God. It is wisdom and good humility to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and have an intimate righteous relationship with the Holy Spirit.

2. Gold (Love for Money)

Even from ancient times, many women have yielded themselves as vessels to be plundered by the devil due to their love for money and material things. For instance, consider prostitution, which is regarded as one of the oldest professions known in the history of humankind. So you should see that a lot of women have been doing terrible things due to their lust for money.

Dear woman, don't compromise Godly standards because of money. Our Lord Jesus Christ says: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33). As a woman, when you walk with God intimately, He will bless you greatly.

Also, be diligent in whatever you do that can bring money legally and ethically. You don't have to indulge in sinful things for money to take care of yourself. You have a brain, you have talents. There are many productive skills out there that can fetch you lots of money.

Ultimately, as a lady, the wisest decision you will make is to have an intimate relationship with God, which is enough to satisfy all your needs (even your deepest emotional and physical needs). The first step is to accept Jesus as LORD and Savior. If you are yet to do this, anywhere you are, please do so now.

3. Guys (Members of the opposite gender)

Finally, just like the devil keeps sending many men to their premature graves using women, so is he using men as reliable agencies to destroy women. This is usually via sinful illicit relationships and engagements between both genders.

Always remember that God's Will for sex is that all manner of sexual pleasure should be shared only between a married man and his female wife inside the safe confines of their marriage institution. Please, don't be a mere object of pleasure for one nonsense guy somewhere.

I know many ladies keep seeing guys who only want sex coming to them, and some of these guys are luring several ladies into what is wrong.

But I can assure you that there are still lots of God-fearing men out there whom themselves are honouring God with their bodies. When I say God-fearing men, I'm talking about men who have made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior, and are serving God in spirit and in truth. As a lady, these are the types of men you should associate with. Unlike the "bad boys" out there, a born again Christian won't regard you as a mere tool for bodily pleasure, but will even contribute to your growth in important areas. In fact, a sure way to enjoy your marriage is by marrying a genuine born again Christian, where the foundation of your home is built on Christ. Such a man, who himself is Christ's bride, will know how to please God by treating you as the queen you are meant to be

Therefore, to attract a God-fearing born again Christian, you must be a genuine child of God too (God won't give any of His true sons to just any kind of lady that will ruin his sonship). So, you must make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior and start living a life devoid of sin and iniquity. Focus on serving God in spirit and in truth, and He knows how He will connect you with a responsible God-fearing man who will ensure you have a joyful marriage

Manhood is sacred, and male folks have been adorned with unique glory by God the Eternal Creator. As expected, the evil devil is aware of this, and he is extremely jealous. The devil hates you sorely, and he is already eager to do what he knows how to do best: "steal, kill and destroy" (John 10:10).

In history, and all through the Bible, there are several incidents where the devil successfully ruined glorious men and turned them into ashes. He utilized several mediums, particularly via what our fathers summarised as the "3 Gs". They are:

1. Gold (Love for money)
2. Girls (the Opposite gender)
3. Glory (Pride)

Let's briefly explore each.

1. Gold (Love for money)

At different times in history, many men have entered the pit of self-destruction through their great obsession with money. For instance, in the Bible (Joshua 7), we saw the story of a man called Achan whose love for money prompted him to steal what is forbidden. Unfortunately, the act led to his death (and he even implicated his family members).

Never make money your master. Money is a bad master, and it will make you a slave; prompting you to indulge in dangerous things just to acquire material things - stealing, kidnapping, killing others for money, etc. The Bible says "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." (I Timothy 6:10 )

Our Lord Jesus Christ says: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33)

As a man, when you walk with God intimately, He will bless you greatly. "The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it." (Proverbs 10:22)

2. Girls (the Opposite gender)

Many men at different points in history have entered their premature graves via the route of members of the opposite gender, usually through illicit sexual encounters. One glaring case study, as far as such a discourse as this is concerned, is that of Samson. Samson's endowments attracted immoral women. Like Samson, immoral women will always come your way too. Unfortunately, Samson went against God's will, and he was destroyed.

God's Will for sex is that all manner of sexual pleasure should be shared only between a married man and his female wife inside the safe confines of their marriage institution.

As a man in this generation, you must learn wisdom and learn to tame your healthy sexual urges (hence they put you into trouble). You should not have anything to do with just any kind of lady. Many people (both males and females) out there are possessed by demons, and are used by the devil to lead others into destruction. Yes, in fact, many beautiful-looking folks out there are actually direct agents of the devil - terrible and evil witches, belong to dark kingdoms, and are possessed with evil spirits.

3. Glory (Pride)

Many great men at various times in history died untimely due to Pride. Manhood is synonymous with strength and power. But you see, strength and power can be deceptive, as it can sponsor pride in you (you begin seeing yourself beyond what you are). Pride comes before a fall (meaning, if you are proud as a man, it's just a matter of time, your pride will get you crashed). Pride leads men into boldly putting their necks under a deadly axe!

Hence, as a man, you should humble yourself under God and be submissive to Him. It is pride to think you own your life and that you can live life without God.

It is wisdom and good humility to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and have an intimate righteous relationship with the Holy Spirit.

It starts by saying yes to Jesus. Say yes to Jesus today, and He won't ignore you. Simply ask Him to show you mercy, and He will come to you too. God bless you.

Becoming an adult and entering the University (I earned my bachelor's degree at the University of Ibadan), there were even more responsibilities. For instance, here is a picture of me ministering as the President of a prominent campus fellowship in the institution.

Upon entering the adolescent stage, things were easier for me. One of the benefits of starting with God at an early age is that I didn't experience the troubles and hurts that sin brings, unlike many of my peers.

The Lord was giving me more responsibilities at this stage. For instance, as a young teenager back then, I was leading the youth department at church (there were older people in the youth department), serving as a Sunday school teacher, an interpreter, an usher, was part of the evangelism team, a part-time chorister, etc.

Many years ago, when I was a very young teenager just approaching the adolescence stage of life, I had some destiny-determinant experiences.

Now, I was born and grew up in a part of the country where immorality seems to be the norm. So, young boys can't wait to become adolescents and start doing the nasty things they see adults do - such as immoral sexual adventures, alcoholism, clubbing, and many more.

Yes, like several other young boys in the area, I was waiting to become an adolescent with a bit of freedom from my strict parents so I can also start exploring life. However, in my case, even as a young chap, I always feel the presence of God around me without having an explanation, and I know I have conversations with a Creature I don't know much about.

Then one day, even as a boy, I felt God talking to me, asking me to start walking with Him and be perfect. Now, I was worried, because despite being a boy, I know the meaning of what God was asking me to do. It means I won't 'enjoy' those things the adults around me were doing.

So, in my naivety, I started begging God to just give me one year to enjoy those sinful things too, after which I will start walking with Him perfectly(lol). But God didn't change His mind, but kept pestering me, as an expression of His great love. He asked me to start walking with Him in spirit and in truth as a youngster, and He made some promises to me..

Then, I decided to start a relationship with the LORD JESUS from a tender age. It was not a smooth ride, particularly considering the environment and other challenges. But God made grace available, being meticulous about me to ensure I grew up in Him.

Even as a young boy, I started preaching when the opportunity comes, particularly at church. Here is a picture of one of those moments of ministering as a child at church.

Jesus is Love

Happy Sunday, everyone. Jesus loves you

GOD is Omnipotent, the All-powerful One with unlimited power and authority. He is not only powerful, but He is Power. The Psalmist says, "God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That (all) power belongs to God." (Psalms 62:11).

However, God is not only Power, but God is also Love. God is not only all powerful, but He is also Love. Bible says "....God is love; and he that dwell in love dwelleth in God" (1 John 4:16). In fact, from scriptures, it appears God feels more comfortable aligning Himself with His Love dimension than His power dimension. He makes me realise that LOVE IS SWEETER THAN POWER.

A proof of His abundant love revolves around His sweet mercies. This was what prompted Him to keep pursuing after rebellious mankind. He is the All-powerful One who meekly keeps knocking at the door of the hearts of humans, wanting to have a formidable relationship with us. This is despite the fact that He can do without us, since He is all sufficient. A good explanation to this is this: LOVE IS SWEETER THAN POWER.

God loves you vehemently and He desires an intimate relationship with you to help you fulfil your destiny. It is your destiny to have an intimate righteous relationship with God that is eternal in nature through Jesus Christ. Then you will be empowered with the Holy Spirit to have dominion over creation, and you won't be a slave to anything - including poverty, sickness, satan, hell, sin, curses, etc.

While you have the power of self will, to live your life the way you like and turn against the way of the LORD, please, choose Love today, because it is sweeter. And you see, the law of love goes thus: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' - Jesus (Matthew 22:37‭-‬39)

If we all can embrace God's kind of love, our world will experience heaven on earth.

How can all these become realistic?
The bible says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Hence, the first step is to embrace Jesus as your LORD and SAVIOUR. You must be determined to forsake anything sinful, and simply pray:

"LORD JESUS, I believe in my heart that You died for me and You raised on the third day for my justification. And so I confess with my mouth that You are my Lord and Savior. From today, I belong to the family of God. Thank You for giving me eternal life."

Eternal life resides in you, and it compells you to love God's way. God bless you.

I present to you the unfortunate incident of Samson - the lover boy who was drawn by lust and ended his destroy glorious destiny on the laps of an enemy whom he thought loved him (Judges chapter 13 - 16). Delilah was a wrong lover because she was not his God-ordained married wife and their sexual relations were not inside a marriage institution.

You see, God is Love, and since we were created in His image and likeness, it follows that we are also creatures of love, created to love and receive love. We all have the innate desire to love (to give and show love to others), as well as crave to receive love from others (to be shown love in return). This is a characteristic of a normal person created in God's image and likeness.

However, the error of many people lies with where they go to seek love, and what they fell in love with. Hence, many are in problem today because they fall in love with dangerous persons and things that were designed by the evil devil to carry out his evil mission - to steal, to kill and destroy (John 10:10).

We can talk about alcohol and drugs; masturbation and pornography; immoral boyfriends and girlfriends relationships; materialism and mammon; etc. They thought these things are good lovers that will give them genuine pleasure and satisfaction. Unfortunately, like Samson, these things are only Delilah's relatives that lead them to destruction, ruin, and regret.

Problem arises when you fail to channel your love to the right One - the right Lover. You are configured to love God your Creator first and above any other, and to receive love from Him above anything else. When you are saturated with God's Love and you find pure fulfillment inside of Him alone, it guides how you give love to those around you, and you are directed to like only the things He permits (which won't be harmful to you).

You can explore love inside of God (which is what you are destined to do) through faith in Jesus Christ. As you embrace Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, He sends a tangible Lover to your life - the Holy Spirit. As you grow in love with Him, He empowers you to keep attending to the business of love in the right way.

Stop seeking pleasure from sinful and harmful persons and places and things. They are polluted counterfeits of the original thing - that you enjoy pure pleasure in your relationship with the Lord Jesus. I'm inviting you into this peaceful life, as you surrender your life to Jesus today.

Bible says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ), that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16). Embrace the true Lover of Your soul today - the only One that can die for your Salvation from sin, death, satan and hell.

Today is your day of salvation. Wherever you are, simply ask the LORD to show you mercy and come reign in your life. "Jesus, show me mercy, and come into my life".

It is no longer a secret that premarital sex (or fornication) is something prominent in the circle of youths today. However, it's not only a sin, but there are also tons of terrible repercussions attached to the act. The Bible is straightforward about sexual immorality.

"Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside to the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" 1 Corinthians 6: 18

Yes, I know you have healthy sexual urges. But you must know how to be in control of yourself, hence you find yourself in trouble and get disgraced (the devil utilizes sin to disgrace people). Trust me, living holy and chaste in a corrupt society like ours is still possible, and it's very beautiful.

"Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness... Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience" (Colossians 3:5,6)

Premarital sex comes with terrible spiritual repercussions too. When a person indulges in it, you give access to the devil to plunder your life ruthlessly.. And what the devil does is to "steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10)

"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?" (1Corinthians 6:19)

You don't own yourself actually. Hence, you must live your life pleasing God in holiness and in truth.

There are several sexual temptations out there today. In your school, at home, there are several agents of sexual temptations. Hence, you must always avoid people, places, things, and situations that can lure you into sexual immorality.

"For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6: 20)

When it comes to living a life of true holiness, it gets easier as you give yourself wholly to the Lord Jesus, because He will send the Holy Spirit to you, Who will help you (the Holy Spirit is our Helper). So, if you are yet to give your life to JESUS, this is another good opportunity, as tomorrow might just be too late...

Simply tell Jesus, "LORD JESUS, have mercy on me and come into my life".

"Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie" Revelation 22:14, 15

You are blessed for honouring GOD with your body. You will be rewarded by God both here on earth and in eternity..

But if you die in sexual immorality (young people too can die anytime) or the rapture should take place now (the signs are more and more stronger), such a person will be condemned into the lake of fire (where there's no more room for repentance).

Please help yourself by aligning with GOD now that you are still young.
