*Message*

Start the journey of the new cycle with praise, raising incense of thanksgiving to water the ground as you proceed triumphantly. Indeed, God is worthy to be praised for the goodness of 2024. It is by His mercies that we have been able to soar above the waves of 2023 to arrive into a beautiful new year.

While there are numerous things you need the Lord to do for you, it is beautiful to first put in place what the Lord loves - an offering of praise and thanksgiving. God is ever good and faithful. He is worthy of our praise, being a gracious King who is benevolent and lovely.

*As you engage in worship with the offerings of your lips, blessing the Lord with sweet words and sounds, you set yourself up for the numerous blessings He has embedded into different parts of the year. From the beginning to the end, there are numerous goodies God has put in place all through.*

It is abnormally normal for different 'experts' to give different negative projections and bad predictions for the year. However, when you start the year sending up praise to the LORD, you can be sure of receiving a constant downpour of pleasantness to make you invincible and immovable.

Raise incense of praise to the Lord for 2024. We know it's a blessed year already.

*Message*

Reflect upon the goodness of God for all He has done for you all through the year. It doesn't matter how the year went and whatever happened in between, one thing is sure - God is good. If you will count your blessings one by one, you will be amazed by all God has done. Hallelujah!

You remember how God has kept you and your family safe all through the year. God has been proactive guarding you for free and making sure nothing will go wrong with you. He who keeps His children safe never sleeps nor slumbers. Many things have swept a lot away at different parts of the year, but you are still standing good and strong. Praise the LORD!

Despite the tough economic climate in different parts of the world, God ensures you never go helplessly hungry. He keeps providing for you and you are continually refreshed. The Psalmist, in an offering of sweet praises to the LORD, declared:

So, before the dawn of 2024, take time to praise the Lord for a superb 2023. He alone is worthy of our praise. Indeed, God's goodness looks good on us!

TOPIC: Making An Early Resolve For Holiness In 2024

Instead, shape your lives to become like the Holy One who called you. [16] For Scripture says: “You are to be holy, because I am holy.”

*Message*

*The new year is pregnant with a lot of blessings for God's children. However, you must retain a particular posture to be eligible for a handful of these blessings - the posture of saints whose lifestyle is inseparable from holiness. Therefore, as you approach the new year, one of the best things you will do is to make an early resolve to give great priority to holiness in your journey throughout the year.*

In your resolutions, as you decide to latch upon the ever-constant help of the Holy Spirit (Who is always available and eager to help you live holy in God's perfect Will), you must also brace yourself to be proactive in your duties. Hence, you must firmly decide to avoid all lustful entities and appearances all through the year.

You should be prayerfully watchful of those whose lifestyle (dressing, conversations, etc) can get you infested with lust. You should ensure you don't give room for the inordinate cravings of the flesh and should avoid dirty things that erupt lustful desires and thoughts (dirty magazines, books, movies, music, etc).

All through the year, you should never be found in places with an immoral atmosphere (clubs, wild parties, and so on) too. Avoid situations that breed lust (such as intimate contact with sensitive parts of members of the opposite gender, and so on).

*God wants you to be blameless and perfect all through 2024, and you must be faithful to a lifestyle of purity and holiness. You will be easily helped to maintain an intimate relationship with the LORD, with eternity in view.*

Father, help me to be perfect as You are.

TOPIC: David And Solomon

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs‬ ‭22:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

*Message*

When we connect certain dots from the lifestyles of David and Solomon, father and son, we can bring out a sermon that revolves around the significance of proper parenting, amongst other things. Parenthood is golden, and it is always necessary to keep reiterating the fact that your children are looking up to you as models for what they should become.

This was the case with David and Solomon. David would never have imagined how keenly his son had been studying him, and how much influence his decisions would have on molding the younger Solomon.

From a young age, Solomon was carefully learning and shaping his life after his father King David. So, he (Solomon) embraced wisdom, love for God, and the fear of God from a young age, which was something he saw his father valued a lot. It was even recorded that: "...Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of his father David" I Kings‬ ‭3:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

*Also, his father's love for writing psalms and songs must have influenced Solomon's prowess for writing proverbs. David was the sweet Psalmist of Israel who composed numerous songs and psalms. Solomon too "spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five." ‭I Kings‬ ‭4:32*

On the other hand, Solomon observed his father loves women - and he also went that path too. It was lusting after a woman not his wife that almost destroyed David. In the case of Solomon, he didn't simply lust after a woman, but after many strange women, and they will eventually get him ruined.

This is one of the scary things about parenthood. Any negative thing your children picked from you, they will most likely blow up beyond proportion.

You must always remember that your children are looking and watching you beyond your wildest imaginations.

Yet another:

37-year-old Nigerian man sentenced to three years and nine months in prison for attempting to meet with a 14-year-old girl in the UK

A Nigerian man, Osakpolor Jimoh, 37, who traveled down from Scotland to meet with a girl he met on the internet who had just turned 14 at Leeds, has been jailed for three years and nine months on five counts including attempting to meet child following sekshual grooming, attempting to incite child to engage in sekshual activity and attempting to cause child to watch sekshual act.

He was arrested in Leeds Rail Station on October 24, 2022, after booking a two-night stay at a hotel. A sentencing hearing at Leeds Crown Court heard that Jimoh, of Clovenstone Park, Edinburgh, had added the decoy profile as a Facebook friend back in May.

After striking up a conversation with what he thought was a 13-year-old girl, he claimed he was 19, and asked if she had a boyfriend. He then told her she was “beautiful” and suggested the two have a “secret relationship”, before the conversation moved over to WhatsApp.

He soon asked her questions about her body and her sekshual experience.

He then sent her p%rnogr@phic videos of himself, and became “aggre**ive” with her, as she would not send him explic!t photos of herself, telling her she should “keep her man happy”. He also insisted the girl refer to him as “daddy”.

After arranging to meet who he thought was the girl, he was caught in Leeds Rail Station, and was found to have c**ondoms and lollipops with him.

When he was questioned by police, Jimoh admitted he communicated with the profile, but claimed it was more like a “father-daughter” relationship.

However, mitigating for Jimoh, Robin Frieze told the court: These are serious offences and the defendant is very sorry. This is the first time he has ever been in prison – he has found being in there very stressful.” He added that, while Jimoh was living in Edinburgh, he had cleaned on a voluntary basis for the local community “to keep himself occupied”. Recorder Mark McKome subsequently sentenced him to three years and nine months in prison.

A Nigerian man identified as Cyril Kenneth has been arrested by the police after being accused of dating minors in Belfast, UK.

According to a video shared by warriors of children, Kenneth who arrived in February for his masters degree, was arrested after multiple children between the ages of 14 and 15 reported him with evidence of him grooming and sexually harassing them.

In the text messages he had with some of the victims, Kenneth sent his unsolicited indecent pictures, asked some of them for their house addresses, invited one of them to his house for sex, amongst other disturbing messages.

The suspect, however, confessed to the crime and blamed it on temptation from the devil. He said he contacted the kids because he needed friends as he was new to the country. He was subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution(instablog)

TOPIC: The Living Bread Good For Your Soul
‭‭
For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” John‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

*Message*

In John chapter 6, Jesus was making some statements that were way above the religious knowledge of the Jews of the day. For instance, in verse 35, "And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.". These folks, whose hearts were set on carnal things, were thus offended at Him.

*Now, your mind is a compartment of your soul, and it is a very powerful part of you. One of the peculiar things about the mind is that it can't be empty - it must be occupied and filled. Hence, you have two options. On one hand, you can permit the corrupt nature of the flesh and society to fill your soul with all kinds of dirty baggage. On the other hand, you can (and should) plug yourself into a divine economy where you permit the Word of God, the Living Bread to feed your spirit, nourishing your soul in the process with life.*

God's word can be life to your soul, empowering your mind, thoughts and imagination towards becoming all God has destined you to be.

Also, if you want to prevent the dirty baggage from an imperfect world from corrupting and weakening your soul, then you should always fill it with the Word of God. Equip yourself with the Word of God, and you will be empowered not to fulfill the desires of the flesh nor go the paths of the course of this world. It was David who said: "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee" (Psalm 119:11).

Ask for grace to always eat the Living Bread of God's word without distractions.

TOPIC: What's Next After Christmas?

There probably won't have been Christmas in the first place if certain individuals didn't willingly partner with the Lord to make it a reality on the earth realm. Look at Mary, the earthly mother of Jesus - she willingly submitted her blessed womb to convey the Lord from the supernatural realm into our physical world.

It was a great favor to the chaste Mary, but we should also applaud her strength - a young lady who took such huge responsibility for herself, ignoring others' opinions and ridicule. Of course, Joseph was also a partner in this business, as it wouldn't have been an easy task for Mary if her spiritual and wise husband didn't stand by her with good support.

Look at this now. Before Jesus came here for His ministry on earth, there were several other religions being practiced by different people in different parts of the world. But after He ascended back to Heaven, His few disciples worked hard to ensure Christianity spread all over the world like widefire. If they had not partnered with the Holy Spirit to propagate Christ, then you and I won't have known about Him today, and won't have anything to do with Christmas too.

*So, what's next after Christmas? You must make a resolve to willingly partner with the Lord to birth whatever it is He has appointed for this season in your own day!*

There are still several promises and prophecies of the LORD hanging around the air, waiting for a willing human to partner with the heavens to make them a reality in our time.

Help me, dear Lord, to submit to whatever You want to do with me in my generation.

TOPIC: Being Grateful To God For The Blessings Of Christmas

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. ‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭3:16‬‬‬

*Message*

This beautiful season of Christmas came about on the platform of certain divine actions by the Godhead. John 3:16 beautifully states: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"

It's a tough decision to give one's beloved son as a sacrifice for undeserving folks. So, we are eternally grateful to YAHWEH for giving us Jesus, Who is the reason for the beautiful season. Christmas is all about Him. And it is worth noting that Jesus wasn't forced to come down here to offer His life as a sacrifice to reunite mankind back to God - pure love brought Him here.

As a human, how would you feel if you were asked to become an ant and start living with ants? This is what it's like for Jesus (the Immortal KING of Eternity) to come down here to live with humans. But guess what? Jesus did this willingly because He loves you and me dearly.

*All divine parts of the Godhead were very proactive in making the beautiful story of Christmas a reality, including the Holy Spirit. Don't forget when the Angel Gabriel was discussing with Mary, he told her "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God" (Luke 1:35). So, the Holy Spirit is also one of the Heroes Of Christmas.*

Hence, we must be eternally grateful to the LORD for Christmas.

TOPIC: Never Let Go Of The Purpose Of Christmas

For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke‬ ‭2:11‬ ‭‬‬

*Message*

Every year, the 25th day of the month of December won't stop being a significant day. It is the celebration of the most popular holiday - Christmas. It is the birth of Jesus Christ. And so, almost everywhere in the world, Christmas is being celebrated.

But unfortunately, many don't even know the major reason for the season in the first place. A lot are ignorant of the reason Jesus Christ came to the earth in the first place. This is why you see folks "celebrating" Christmas with sinful stuff - wild parties, sexual immorality, alcohol and hard drugs, etc. On the other hand, Christmas to several others simply revolves around Santa and presents, taking the Object of Christmas (Jesus Christ) out of the scenes entirely.

But what's the purpose of Christmas? This should be a season to gratefully reflect on the amazing things of God in Christ Jesus.

Remember, from the beginning, God originally created the earth to be an extension of Heaven, and He made humans to be perfect creatures to take care of everything He made. He desires (and enjoys) an intimate relationship with humans, entrusting the earth into the hands of mankind. Then came man's disobedience, and the beginning of receiving God's love on a very gracious level.

God's love attained a zenith in Christ Jesus, as He decided to come down to offer His Own Life to redeem humans back to Himself. He suffered and died on the cross of Calvary to get us back into His perfect Will.

*Christmas is a remembrance that in Christ Jesus, we have recovered all that was stolen by the devil, and we now have the authority to wield true dominion over creation - including dominion over sin, death, darkness, hell, poverty, sickness, and anything negative.*

Merry Christmas!

Ask that the LORD utilize this Christmas celebration to introduce Himself to many sinners around the world on a personal level.

Finally, never forget the true essence of Christmas.

Jesus came to the earth to redeem us back to God, to make us holy, perfect and acceptable to God.

All you have to do is to accept Him (Jesus) as Lord and Savior of your life, and you will be saved.

Jesus Christ is the Reason for the season. It is absurd to celebrate Christmas without making Him Lord of your life. It is absurd to celebrate Christmas in ways contrary to the will of Jesus Christ the Celebrant Himself.

Jesus is the reason for the season, and Christmas should increase our Love for the LORD, as we reflect upon the sacrifices He made for us. It's not a time to indulge in sinful things all in the name of celebration, but should rather propel us to make a decision to stop anything sinful we have been doing.

TOPIC: Imagine A World Without Christmas
‭‭
"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel." Isaiah‬ ‭7:14‬‬

Message

Christmas is all about celebrating the birth of our LORD JESUS CHRIST the Redeemer and Savior of mankind. Without Jesus coming to the earth, the world will remain in a dark and brutal state

Remember, after Lucifer, who became satan, was condemned to the earth realm following his attempts to rebel against God, it was recorded that:
‭‭
"The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep." Genesis‬ ‭1:2‬‬

But it also revealed that: "The Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters", which is proof that God didn't ignore the world even in its unworthy state. Hence, God brought a solution to make right the wrong, "Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light." Genesis‬ ‭1:3‬‬

You see what happened there? GOD introduced the Word to make things beautiful again! Now, Jesus is eternally known as the Word of God (John 1), and we can see that He has an expertise in making ugly terrible situations beautiful again.

So, after the sin of Adam and Eve (our first human parents in Eden), another ugly situation arose, plunging mankind into gross darkness, filled with all manner of evil and vices. But through Jesus Christ, all things became beautiful again:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. [17] For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John‬ ‭3:16‭-‬17‬ ‭NKJV‬

So, a world without Christmas meant humanity would be forever doomed and would be slaves to sin, death, hell, satan, poverty, sickness, and other negative things. But, Hallelujah! Jesus gave the victory!

Are you experiencing some ugly and terrible situations in your life, or someone close to you? Introduce Jesus, He has expertise in turning unpleasant stuff into beautiful experiences!

If you are yet to submit to the Lordship of Jesus, this season is the best time to do so. Simply pray:

"LORD JESUS, I believe in my heart that You died for me and You raised on the third day for my justification. And so I confess with my mouth that You are my Lord and Savior. From today, I belong to the family of God. Thank You for giving me eternal life."

Prayer

Whatever is unpleasant around you, ask Jesus to make things right again.

TOPIC: The Turnaround Of An Unfortunate Tale

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. [15] But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. Romans‬ ‭5:14‭-‬15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

*Message*

God created man (Adam and Eve) and placed them in the Garden of Eden. God left His Throne in Heaven to meet Adam and Eve, and the first humans were able to interact with the Most High expressly - a mystery to the Angels. It was a sweet tale of refreshing communion and fellowship between God and Man His beloved creature.

Unfortunately, this fine tale soon became an unfortunate one, because this sweet relationship between God and man was soon truncated by sin. After humans fell into sin, there was a disconnection. As expected, mankind was plunged into great darkness and suffering, with the enemy having a swell time taking advantage of the chaos.

Fortunately, the love and mercies of God prompted Him to turn the story into a pleasant one again. What did He do? God again left His Throne to meet humans once again, this time via the divine identity of Jesus Christ. And so, it becomes possible for mankind to enjoy sweet communion with the Source of all life again - Jesus Christ became the Bridge that has made it possible.

*As we welcome the season of the birth of the Lord, we should gladden our hearts, with sweet meditations and contemplations of all He made possible for us via faith in Him. We are now joint heirs with the Divine, and He has empowered us with the Holy Spirit to flourish everywhere - both on earth and in heaven.*

Anyone in Christ Jesus is living out a sweet and beautiful story.

TOPIC: The Spirit Is Willing; The Flesh Is Weak
‭‭
The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41‬ ‭‬‬

*Message*

As a human, you are tripartite in nature - you have a spirit, soul, and body. Your spirit, created in the perfect image of God, is your real self and is thus configured to interact with God and please Him. Hence, you are destined to yearn continuously after God and find fulfillment in giving Him pleasure by worshipping in the spirit and doing His Will.

Unfortunately, you have a flesh that is suffering from the repercussions of corruption obtained by the activities of our foreparents (Adam and Eve) in the Garden of Eden many years ago.

The Bible revealed that the spirit is willing (to yield to the will of God), but the flesh is weak. Immediately after the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, human nature became brutally perverted, and it was corrupted into becoming an entity that enjoys rebelling against God's Will.

*Therefore, you must realize that you can't please God with your own futile attempts and strength. What should you do then? Depend wholly on what Christ has done for you. As a child of God (one who has embraced Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior), you will have to die to yourself, and He will resurrect you. He will give you His Holy Spirit to help you, and He will keep empowering you with the needed strength to soar above the limitations of the flesh, and please God at all times.*

As you set your affections on things above (the realm beyond the limitations of the flesh), you keep energizing your entire being to conform to God's perfect Will

TOPIC: Give No Place For Lust

For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. I John‬ ‭2:16‬NKJV‬‬

*Message*

Many times, lust is usually the culprit as far as sin of any sort is concerned. It is a fuel that has the capacity to push people into indulging in what is not right, and it is one of the devil's favorite weapons. When the devil, who is the father of lust, strikes a person with lust, such can easily find themselves committing sin and attracting afflicting afflictions into their lives.

Remember that the devil is the father of lust because many years ago, he lusted after what God wasn't giving him (Isaiah 14). This led him into rebellion, and he became an eternally doomed creature (alongside his demons, whom he also tricked into sin on the platform of lust for glory and relevance).

*So, you will easily see that lust precedes sin; sin brings about separation from God. Separation from God your Creator will give the devil your enemy access to ruthlessly plunder your life and destiny here on earth, and get you doomed in hell fire (which is for eternity).*

Don't allow lust at any time. Jesus Christ said: "Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Matthew 5:28). Don't lust for what God is not giving you. Don't lust for anything outside the Will of God. Lust can get your soul darkened and lead you into what is wrong, corrupting your body and soul and harming your spirit.

Pray for those out there still under the shackles of lust.

The LORD GOD is so beautiful! He is pretty outstanding in all ways, and there is none like HIM. HE IS the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. He is the Almighty One who has been from eternity, and still is, and will be forever. The Ageless Creator, All-Powerful and All-Wise. The Alpha and Omega, the One Who Holds The Seven Stars in His Right Hand. He is Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, El Shaddai, ELOHIM, Adonai, El Elyon, I AM. HE WHO IS HOLY, CHASTE, AND TRUE. Amen.

Anyone burdened in and by life should meet God. If you've met God, then you should meet Him again and again, excavating newer dimensions of the LORD. Only the LORD grants true and lasting success (John 15:5), and even true wealth that doesn't fade away (Deuteronomy 8:18).

In Christ Jesus, He gives true joy and everlasting happiness. He gives health. He gives various good things in life. No fulfillment outside of Christ Jesus.

*And this is why, if you have met Christ, you must busy yourself trying to make others out there meet Him too. Several folks, particularly via the machinations of religion, are making dry attempts towards meeting God - but it keeps failing.*

Only Jesus is the authorized Way to meet God and flourish in Him.

And in this mountain The Lord of hosts will make for all people A feast of choice pieces, A feast of wines on the lees, Of fat things full of marrow, Of well-refined wines on the lees. Isaiah‬ ‭25:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God is KING, the Great KING. He has made pleasant provisions available for any of His creatures willing to come near to attend His feastland. You can ascend the Lord's mountain every day to enjoy His feast and benefit from the endless possibilities embedded in His realm.

The "mountain" (the venue of the feast) is a prophetic portrait of the spiritual realm, specifically the glorious domain of God. In the Old Testament, a famous name of this large expanse of God's domain in the Spirit realm is "Mount Zion".

So, on Mount Zion, "the Lord of hosts will make for all people.." This feast is for anyone willing to ascend there. It doesn't matter where they are from, their gender, their past, their limitations, etc, as far as they are willing to ascend and will drop any baggage that disqualifies and hinders them from soaring, they will find themselves in God's domain, made possible through Christ Jesus.

When you get to the feastland, they will delight themselves in the abundance inherent therein. You will enjoy "A feast of choice pieces, A feast of wines on the lees, Of fat things full of marrow, Of well-refined wines on the lees." This should give you the picture that God's realm is a domain of great advantages and benefits.

The things being offered by the LORD Himself for His guests at His feast make for fatness (you will be well fed with great quality stuff).

I'm sure you've seen the abundance of provisions available at parties thrown by the kings and notable people of this world. Now, imagine the LORD, the Great KING throwing a party!

Amazingly, you can always feast with the LORD every single day! You can always interact with His glory and presence every time, and you will always draw from the abundance in the unseen realm to exert dominion in the physical realm where you currently live. Hence, you enjoy an unlimited life above the restrictive systems put in place on earth by the mischievous powers.

Finally, at the LORD'S feast, everyone will be treated as kings and vips. Those that will be allowed to come must put on the garment of Kingship which can only be purchased on the altar of Priesthood. It starts with getting the legal permit to come to God - having faith in Christ Jesus and making Him your Lord and Savior.

If you want to submit to the Lordship of Jesus, simply pray:

LORD JESUS, I believe in my heart that You died for me and You raised on the third day for my justification. And so I confess with my mouth that You are my Lord and Savior. From today, I belong to the family of God. Thank You for giving me eternal life."

TOPIC: Fear Not, I Am Your Shield

After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.” Genesis 15:1

*Message*

In 2021 alone, the global Security Guarding Services market size was valued at USD 1188.41 million. Security is a big thing, as everyone is interested in being safe at all times. However, I should tell you that God is the Ultimate Protector, the most Reliable Security. He is the Authentic Defender who doesn't need security.

As a matter of fact, the strongest and "most intelligent" security organizations in our world have disappointed and failed on various occasions (think about the highly-rated United States Secret Service that couldn't stop the assassination of various serving American Presidents under its watch).

*In Genesis 15:1, the LORD however told Abraham: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield". No wonder, Abraham lived to a full old fruitful age! Even when he was wandering in the territories of the evil, they just couldn't hurt him. God's Pillar of Protection ensured he didn't lose anything that belonged to him while he lived!*

*God loves displaying His expertise in Security and Protection at all times. He has promised to keep His own safe (physically and spiritually) at all times. Those who had decided to honor Him by doing His will automatically earn His Protection. Any person walking in the will of God would find himself or herself being surrounded by the Hedge of God's protection.*

As far as you are walking in the Will of the Father, you've got nothing to fear. There are angels guarding you for free, and they will ensure nothing goes wrong with you.

*Prayer*
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I'm grateful for your Hedge of Protection around me at all times. Help me to not ignorantly give myself to sin again, which lures people away from under the covering of your wings, into danger.

Pleading His mercy. This was Saul's error. He should have asked God for mercy. God is abundant in grace and mercy, even under the law.

TOPIC: Don't Displease God To Please A Human

Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice. I Samuel 15:24 NKJV

*Message*

The story of Saul's degradation from grace to grass is such a disheartening one, filled with great lessons for anyone who loves wisdom. He started off well as a humble guy who enjoyed the grace of God to be picked as the very first crowned King of Israel. The Lord had decided to establish his kingdom forever over Israel, and everything seemed to be going well.

Saul was doing exploits and doing a lot for his country, but he failed to recognize a major weakness he possessed: he's a man-pleaser. Since he couldn't even identify this weakness, how could he have possibly worked on it? Unfortunately, it led to his ruin!

First, in 1 Samuel 13, just a few months after he became king, he gathered the people for a battle with their enemies. Amid everything, he committed a big error: "So Saul said, “Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.” And he offered the burnt offering." (I Samuel 13:9). When Samuel was querying him, the excuse he gave indicated he was trying to please men at the expense of obeying God. And he received a harsh verdict:

And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you. For now the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.” I Samuel 13:13‭-‬14 NKJV

You would have thought he learned his lessons. But, no! Some months later, in 1 Samuel 15, he committed the same plunder, plunging himself into a deeper pit: "Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice." (I Samuel 15:24).

Make sure you never displease God just to please men. It's something you will always regret doing.

Ask for the audacity to always please God over and above humans at all times.

TOPIC: Humiliating Evil (Part 2)

For our fathers have trespassed and done evil in the eyes of the Lord our God; they have forsaken Him, have turned their faces away from the dwelling place of the Lord, and turned their backs on Him. II Chronicles 29:6 NKJV

*Message*

Evil became rooted in the earth realm when it found its way into the nature of Mankind after our first parents (Adam and Eve) disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden (Genesis chapter 3). The result was that the good nature of humanity became perverted, and evil became part of us, and turned into some sort of gene being passed from one generation to another.

You see, evil is not a 21st-century thing. Evil didn't start in the 5th century, nor in the 10th, nor in the 4th - but it has always been here with us after those ugly incidents, many years ago. Evil had been on earth while the earth was still very young. Consider the scripture that said:

*"Unlike Cain, who was of the evil one, and killed his brother. Why did he kill him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother’s righteous."* 1 John 3:12

Having seen all these, let's ask: "Is God happy with the activities of Evil in the world?" The answer is No! Then, "Why isn't He offering any solution?". God actually did offer a potent strategy to disgrace Evil, and He has done it once and for all. Unfortunately, many humans have yet to embrace His Wisdom of His solution.

What is God's Solution To Defeating Evil? Jesus Christ!

*At Calvary, Jesus disgraced and defeated Evil, and turned the word 'evil' into 'Live'. In John 1:4, the scriptures say: "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." When you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, you become a new unique breed that has a nature that's above Evil, and the light of Christ in you illuminates your entire being (mind, thoughts, conscience, habits, characters, etc) making it easy to walk in the narrow path of holiness and righteousness that is devoid of evil.*

This makes you immune from any form of evil flying around in the environment.

Imagine how beautiful our world would be if every one of us decided to accept Jesus Christ and embrace His loving directives.

And if you are a believer, please preach Him to the world. Remember, the more people accept Him in spirit and in truth, the less evil the world will witness.

Ask for boldness to partner with the Lord to keep exposing the works of darknes around you.

TOPIC: Humiliating Evil (Part 1)

We know that we are God’s children and that the whole world lies under the misery and influence of the Evil One. 1 John 5:19 TPT

*Message*

Philosophers should be familiar with something called "The Problem Of Evil". It is simply an interest in reconciling how God, who is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-good, would allow the world to keep languishing in misery, pain, suffering, and anything negative you can know of.

Truthfully, we can't deny the fact that there is a lot of suffering and chaos in our world. Each hour, an evil occurrence is likely to have happened somewhere in the world. There are lots of crimes, people losing a loved one, tragic events, etc. All of this unpleasant stuff keeps breaking the hearts of many people, making several angry with God. But then, is it really God's fault?

Let's briefly see certain things that pertain to evil, utilizing the scriptures both as a guide and a tutor. First, what brought about evil in the first place?

*In the Book of Genesis, after God created all things, it was glaring that the LORD never desired His creation to experience anything that resembled evil. Actually, evil came about when Lucifer, the beautifully-created archangel, chose to rebel against God (read Isaiah 14:12-23).*

From the very moment he contemplated such a rebellious act, he was transformed into Evil, and he became the devil - evil personified, which explained why he was continually referred to as the 'evil one' in various parts of the scriptures (Matthew 5:37, Matthew 6:13, Matthew 13:38, Luke 11:4, John 17:15, Ephesians 6:16, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, 1 John 2:13, 1 John 5:18).

After Lucifer transformed himself into Evil, he was chased from Heaven and was thrown into the Earth realm (Revelations chapter 14), prompting an Angel to pitifully lament how ugly the fate of the world would thereafter be: ".... woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath...." (Revelation 14:12).

Pray for global peace and pleasantness.
