TOPIC: Why Is Society This Corrupt?

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. Genesis 6:11 NKJV

*Message*

You might be part of the few still worried about how fast society has deteriorated when it comes to morals and good value systems. Maybe you have been asking yourself, "What has happened to society?" My answer to your question is simple, "prophecy is happening to society".

You should see this:

"But know this, that in the last days (in our today's society) perilous times will come (a massive degradation will be witnessed): For men (humans) will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! II Timothy 3:1‭-‬5 NKJV

Many years ago, God's Word informed us ahead of time that society would dip into a state of degradation where ugly things and happenings would be accepted as normal. And since God's Word is true, right before our very eyes, we are seeing all manner of rubbish becoming the norm.

However, in the midst of all of these, from the scriptures, two things should be given serious attention:

1. In a society saturated with heavy darkness (Isaiah 60), this is a great time for sons and daughters of God (saints in Christ Jesus) to arise and shine the Light of God in a wicked and crooked generation. Jesus said: “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14‭, ‬16).

*In a bitter and tasteless society, believers must rise as true salts of the earth and impact society with their sweet savor.*

2. The end of the age is closer than we can imagine. All of the ugly norms we see today are vivid pointers to the fact that Jesus will return anytime soon. These are the last days that will usher in the divine vehicle known as the Rapture of the Saints, and the Lord Jesus will come as King. Eventually, this known earth will crumble, and a new heaven and earth will be made where Jesus reigns supreme.

*Prayer*
Pray that Saints will rise as light and salt for society's redemption.

They promise others freedom, yet they themselves are slaves to corruption, for people are slaves to whatever overcomes them. 2 Peter 2:19 TPT

Very young chaps now take pride in wild things beyond their age... sexual romps...wild parties and clubbing... scamming...

A lot of them no longer want to do anything worthwhile with their lives... Just want to live a cruise life... It's like there is a force bent on destroying them with at least one terrible addiction (if it's not gambling, then it is drugs, alcoholism, pornography, sexual addiction, etc)

Things people do in secret some years ago with shame, are now shamelessly flaunted publicly...

Parents now encouraged their male children to do anything (including yahoo and ritual) for money..

Some set up their daughters for prostitution..

Certain important value systems that uphold good morals in society seem to have been shattered..

I was shown some children materials (children books, cartoons, etc) filled with lewd content promoting sex and homosexuality...

What is happening to society, folks?

Note, I'm not complaining, since I know we are in the last days... And I know my own role in making things right again...

But I just want to stir the heart of someone...

TOPIC: The Power Of A Trap Is Embedded In Its Secrecy

and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will. II Timothy 2:26 NKJV

*Message*

The devil is weak and is not as powerful as many people think. He is just a cunny and mischievous guy who has been able to master how to get humans in a state of helplessness, where he then has the advantage to carry out his evil purpose - "steal, kill and destroy" (John 10:10).

The Spirit warns "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." I Peter 5:8. Note that he only barks, but is not as strong as a lion (Jesus is the Lion of Judah. Hallelujah). Also, he is always walking restlessly about, always crafting cunny methods to achieve his evil ambitions.

*And since the defeated satan is too weak to match your strengths, he tries to set traps to bring you into a weak state of helplessness. Every now and then, he brings before you subtle stuff to lure you into weariness, restlessness, and despair. He tries to get you defiled to weaken your spirit. Amazingly, these traps are usually set in such a way that you will never suspect what they represent.*

A trap will never come łike a trap, hence it would chase a potential prey away. Traps instead appear innocent and harmless. If he wants to lure you into doing something sinful, the traps will seem innocent and well-branded. If he wants to get you discouraged and make you start doubting God, the traps he utilizes will never be obvious either.

The power of a trap is its secret. Once you know and identify a trap, it loses its power over you. And that's why you must get closer to God so He can empower you with the Holy Spirit, who will reveal secrets to you, and always make you see people and things for who and what they truly represent.

Ask for grace to not fall into the traps of the enemy

TOPIC: Don't Listen To The Ugly Voice Of The Devil

who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Romans 1:25 NKJV

*Message*

One of the strategies the devil has been using to prevent people from fulfilling destiny is to make them doubt the existence of God, the supernatural unseen realm, and the salvation package offered by Christ Jesus.

For some, even after hearing spiritual truths from the Bible, they keep their hearts hardened and conclude that there is no iota of truth in the claims. This is because they are listening to the ugly voice of the devil. The ugly voice of the devil makes people harden their hearts to prevent the truth of God's word from finding a place therein.

Folks who listen to the ugly voice of the devil would go on doubting anything that has to do with God. "How can you say there is a God up there?", "Who created that God?" "It is a lie", "There is nothing like Heaven or hell", "It makes no sense", "It's all a lie" These are expressions of the devil's ugly voice.

Even as a believer, the devil would always want you to doubt God's promises, particularly during periods of trials and seasons where patience is needed. Remember, when even the Lord Jesus Himself was in the wilderness, the devil still had the effrontery to utter his ugly voice to the Lord (Matthew 4).

*One of the mischievous things the devil does with his voice is to twist God's word and try to make his hearers believe a lie. He succeeded with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and made mankind fall into a pit of helplessness. But he failed with Jesus, as the Lord decided to believe God's word over the lies being uttered by the mischievous satan.*

Don't believe the lies of the devil! Know God's word for yourself and stick with the Lord's communications.

I know the Truth, and I'm shielded from the lies of the devil.

TOPIC: You Don't Belong Here

For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. Hebrews 13:14 NKJV

*Message*

Amazingly, many believers are living life being forgetful of the fact that we are ambassadors here, and we have a much better home awaiting us ultimately. *In all our attempts to maximize life in this known world, we should always be reminded that we have no continuing city here, but there is a much more glorious realm prepared for us, devoid of the imperfections attached to this one.*

We must always set our heart on the Rapture, the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, where He will appear in the skies, to take His own (the Church; His bride) out of the pains and difficult situations occasioned by satan, sin and the world. This is a divine vehicle that will ultimately transport us into the realms that lead to our real home.

*If you always think about these things, it can always help you live right. Things like this, which, unfortunately, many believers are not being reminded of, can help us keep standing on our toes, and energize us to keep shunning the numerous temptations in this world.*

We know that any time from now, in the twinkling of an eye, those who are in Christ (who are living to obey and please Him) will be snatched up, carried off (their bodies shall be changed to immortality) by divine force to meet Him in the skies. We know that the Saints will receive rewards from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself for their works on earth, and they will partake in the marriage supper of the Lamb.

We know that Saints are those who have not only embraced Jesus as Lord and Savior, but who are also committed to pleasing Him by obeying His Will at all times. True Saints avoid what gets them defiled in sin, since they are aware that sinful acts will disqualify a person from hearing the sound of the Lord's Trumpet.

*Prayer*
Ask for the grace to always set your affections on things above, far beyond the fading glories of this present world.

TOPIC: When God Gives You A Spouse (Part 3)

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:11 NKJV

*Message*

God always gives good gifts, and He can bless you with a responsible spouse too who will make sure you enjoy your marriage and life. *Of course, marrying a God-fearing person does not automatically guarantee a happy marriage. Nevertheless, a difference between a God-fearing spouse and other kinds of folks out there is that a God-fearing person is a "broken bride" of Christ. That is to say, the Holy Spirit has worked on such an individual, and they will always be quick to make you happy because they want to please God*

While various women today are unfortunately suffering domestic violence in their marriages, a real God-fearing man won't dare raise his hands on you so as he won't displease God (1 Peter 3:7, Ephesians 5:25). He is a responsible man with a good reputation in the society (Proverbs 31:23). He is a hardworking man (2 Thessalonians 3:12) that will indulge in legitimate works (Ephesians 4:28) to provide for his home. Since he won't keep bad company nor have a concubine somewhere, he is able to give his wife healthy attention so she won't be lonely in her marriage. And since he doesn't waste money clubbing, partying, etc, he will have enough money to channel towards various profitable investments that will transcend into a comfortable future for his wife and children.

On the other hand, while a lot of men regret marrying their wives due to their nasty behavior and lifestyle, a real God-fearing woman is a delight to her husband. She submits to her husband as to the Lord (Ephesians 5:22) and is his number one fan and motivator. "The heart of her husband safely trusts her... She does him good and not evil All the days of her life." (Proverbs 31:11‭-‬12). She guarantees him a sweet home, raising children he will be proud of.

While there are many terrible people today out there, you must always remember that God still has His own people. If you are unmarried yet, don't approach these things with your human senses, since there are pretenders today who act as if they are God-fearing, but are actually wolves in sheep's clothing. Hence, trust God alone and let Him give you one of His trusted gifts.

May our unmarried brethren be patient enough to accept God's best for them.

TOPIC: When God Gives You A Spouse (Part 2)

And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.” Genesis 2:23 NKJV

*Message*

When God gives you a spouse, it's just the best that can ever be. Today, several single youngsters are scared of marriage, due to the negative things they keep hearing from folks with bad marriage experiences.

They hear about husbands who cheat and abuse their wives. They hear about wives who frustrate their husbands and even get impregnated by someone else, and the poor man would think he is the father of the child. These are logical reasons you should insist on getting a spouse from God. That is to say, the person you will be getting married to must be a true child of God who is endorsed by Him.

No reasonable woman wants to share her husband with someone else, and so, a woman desires a husband who will stick faithfully to her alone. Many yet-to-get-married ladies are trying to avoid the mistakes that many already-married women make when choosing a husband. In the same vein, no reasonable man wants a wife that will frustrate him and keep peace of mind far away from him. Hence, several bachelors still have a big phobia of marriage.

But this won't be your portion if your spouse is a gift from the LORD. As a daughter of God, the man God will bless you with will be a blessing indeed. The fear of God in him will keep prompting him to obey God's instructions that a man should be contented with his wife's body alone (Proverbs 5:19), and should avoid adultery (Exodus 20:14, Romans 13:9).

And as a son of God, the Lord will bring to you one of His delightful damsels who enjoys running her home like the virtuous wife in Proverbs 31.

When God gives you a spouse, it's a blessing you will enjoy all your days.

Today, let's pray for anyone about to take a step outside of God's Will for them, as far as marriage is concerned.

TOPIC: When God Gives You A Spouse (Part 1)

Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. Genesis 2:22 NKJV

*Message*

God has given us the free will to do things our way, but He desires to do life with us and rely on Him for the very best in all ways. And while you have the liberty to approach the acquisition of a spouse your way, God desires to give you one of His sons and daughters as a spouse. God gives the best gifts and He will give you the best spouse if you retain a position of receiving from Him.

If God gives you a spouse, then we know the person He brings to you is a God-fearing person. A true God-fearing person is one who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and who is living every aspect of their life in accordance with the will of God.

*When God Himself brings a person your way to become your married spouse, you can easily spot them for their spirituality. A spiritual person is filled with the Spirit of God, and is always pushing towards pleasing God and obeying God's commandments. Such a person doesn't fornicate, doesn't steal, flee lies and falsehoods, doesn't keep bad companies, and doesn't indulge in anything immoral and dirty (including alcoholism, gambling, etc). Rather, such is committed to serving God in spirit and in truth.*

In a corrupt society, meeting a person who fits into the above is rare. But you will do well for yourself and destiny if you approach the idea of getting a spouse in line with God's pathway.

If God is the One bringing you a spouse, He will only bring a person He can attest to. He will have proven the person, and it will become obvious that such an individual won't retain a nature that will make them cheat on you or abuse you when you are eventually married.

If you are still single, ask God for the grace to patiently wait for His gift

TOPIC: The Big God Up There

But who is able to build Him a temple, since heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him? Who am I then, that I should build Him a temple, except to burn sacrifice before Him? II Chronicles 2:6 NKJV

*Message*

There is a Big God up there. He is an Almighty Creator Who made everything - seen and unseen, known and unknown. It is pretty ridiculous that there are still people doubting the existence of God. Take a look at the shirt you put on. Imagine someone coming to tell you that no one made that shirt, but that the shirt just appeared 'just like that' out of thin air. It sounds absurd, right?

*In the same way, it is absurd to think that the sun, moon, stars, oceans, etc, just appeared 'just like that', and that there is no one that made them. Indeed, there is a great God Who intelligently made it all. Thus, the Prophetic Psalmist would say "The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork." (Psalms 19:1). Seeing the numerous splendor of the earth is a great proof of the excellencies of God.*

God is Spirit, and He is so glorious that should He interact with the earth realm in His wholeness, the earth will crumble and flee (Revelation 20:11). Yet, in His great wisdom, *He "became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory..." (John 1:14). The Big God up there still devised a way to interacted with His beloved creatures!*

Amazingly, right now, that Big God is not merely up there again, but is now in you as a yielded vessel. You are His habitation, and He enjoys residing in you and with you. "...For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” (II Corinthians 6:16).

And in Jesus's words: *“If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him." (John 14:23)*

The Big God resides inside me! Hallelujah!

TOPIC: You Should Have A Philanthropic Heart (Part 2)

There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. Proverbs 11:24 NKJV

*Message*

You get the attention of God when you give the little you think you have for His Glory. Remember the poor widow who gave everything she had in Mark 12. She got the Lord's attention! She was the real VIP! She also is a philanthropist!

It's all about your heart.'God loves a cheerful giver' (2 Corinthians 9:2). Quality is more important than quantity when it comes to giving. As a Christian, you must be a giver - a philanthropist who gives to bring honor to God's Name.

There is something I also want you to note. Philanthropy shouldn't only be about cash alone. The goal is to promote the welfare of others, and there are several ways to achieve that.

*The mantra of a philanthropist is "give" - giving out anything good that benefits others, not only/just money. As a Christian, you should give your time, give your talent, give your expertise, etc to better the welfare of others and bring Glory to God. Apostle Paul was a philanthropist in the presence of God, not because he always had some huge cash to give. He might not have lots of money, but he has something: 'his body'. And he gave his body 'to hardship' (1 Corinthian 13:3) for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.*

*Dear believer, give the word of God to this dying world. You've got Jesus - give the world JESUS. 'Speak and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy' (Proverbs 31:9). Our Lord Jesus made us realize we are philanthropists when we 'heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons'. He told us 'freely you have received, freely give' (Matthew 10: *

Don't forget. You have no reason to boast over anything you own - be it material things or spiritual gifts. God owns everything and He is the One Who gave it all. 'But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from Your hand' (1 Chronicles 29:14)

Ask for a philanthropic heart.

I've been writing about certain tricks players use in getting women to bed. Today, let's examine The Marriage Trick

These players are aware that many ladies are desperate to get married and that they would do anything for it to come to pass. So, they positioned themselves to make the lady believe they have a long-term purpose and plan for their relationship, and that it will end with marriage. Some of them don't even mind introducing her to their family and friends (and vice versa) just to make her rest assured that they are serious. Then, they employ all manner of tactics to make the lady sleep with them, and he breaks her heart by breaking the relationship afterward.

My Counsel: In this part of the world, society has configured the minds of ladies to feel worried and inadequate if they are not in a serious relationship that will lead to marriage after they pass a certain stage.

But I want you to know that it is a sin to idolize marriage. When, in your quest for marriage, you go against God's Will, it means you are practicing idolatry, which God hates vehemently. Always remember that marriage was made for humans; not humans for marriage. In other words, you aren't meant to be inadequate simply because you are not married.

Now, I know it is not enough to just say these things without speaking along the lines of positioning yourself to attract and marry God-fearing men who will wed you without defiling the bed. Thankfully, there are still lots of God-fearing men out there who themselves are honoring God with their bodies. These are men who are submitted to the LORD and are serving God in spirit and in truth. These are the type of men you should associate with. Unlike the "bad boys" out there, a born-again Christian won't regard you as a mere tool for bodily pleasure, but will even contribute to your growth in important areas. Like I've said earlier, a sure way to enjoy your marriage is by marrying a genuine born-again Christian, where the foundation of your home is built on Christ. Such a man, who himself is Christ's bride, will know how to please God by treating you as the queen you are meant to be.

It is not enough to say 'I want a God-fearing man'. You must be a God-fearing woman yourself. A born-again Christian will want to marry a child of God like himself, and won't go for a lady that lives carelessly anyhow and do things contrary to God's Will. Hence, to attract a God-fearing born-again Christian man, you must be a genuine child of God too. It is true that God won't give any of His true sons to just any kind of lady that will ruin his sonship. Hence, after committing your life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you must also be committed to living a life devoid of sin and iniquity, focusing on serving God in spirit and in truth. I can assure you that, God knows how He will connect you with a responsible God-fearing man who will ensure you have a joyful marriage

You reading this right now may be worried that you are getting older and still single (and seeing many of your mates are already married). But, never compromise your purity stance. God is about to do something great in your life if you will continue holding to His Word. Perhaps you keep coming across guys who dumped you because you won't allow them to mess with your body, and you are almost fed up. Well, actually, you are facing those things because the devil already sensed your greatness, and he is doing all he can to hinder you from being the great woman God has destined you to be.

Finally, to get a God-fearing guy easily, then you should constantly be around where they can easily notice you. Imagine a lady saying she wants a God-fearing man, but is always clubbing and partying. Get closer to God, be busy with God's works, attend church services, dress responsibly, etc.

TOPIC: You Should Have A Philanthropic Heart (Part 1)

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38 NKJV

*Message*

When we mention the word 'Philanthropist', what comes to mind is a clear picture of an 'already made' wealthy millionaire/billionaire. Many people believe only certain persons who have more than enough to take care of themselves and have excesses to share with others should be philanthropists.

However, this school of thought is pretty wrong, especially for us as children of God. Anyone (and indeed, every one of us) can become a philanthropist. The dictionary defines a philanthropist simply as 'a person who seeks to promote the welfare of others, especially by the generous donation of money to good causes'.

It never said 'a millionaire who gives millions of dollars' or 'a billionaire who donates billions of Naira'. It simply said 'a person' (that is, anyone - including you) who has a generous heart to give any amount to promote the welfare of others.

*The basic theme here is 'giving'. And giving is appropriately measured by quality and not just quantity. This is more important to us as Christians. Our Lord Jesus Christ asked us to give continually. 'Give to everyone' He said in Luke 6: 30. He never said 'give only when you have enough to take care of yourself', neither did He say 'millionaires and billionaires, only you should give'. He expects and wants every one of us to give any amount of money (no matter how small you think it is) to promote the welfare of others and bring Honour and Glory to God our Father. Remember, God is the First and Greatest Philanthropist (He gave everything).*

When you don't hoard the little you have but you keep giving out to put smiles on the faces of others and bring Glory to God, you are simply 'laying up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal' (Matthew 6:20). Indeed, you will be among the fortunate ones the LORD will praise on the day of judgement will His lovely voice: "For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink.... Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to Me"

TOPIC: We Are In The Middle Of A Serious War

And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. Revelation 12:7‭-‬8

*Message*
There is a long war between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness, and it is the destiny of every human in this dispensation to be a part of it, whether you like it or not. You either fight with the army of God, or you join the troops of darkness - no sitting on the fence.

*Fortunately, the army of God is the victorious side, and God's warriors are saddled with the responsibility of enforcing the victory. Also, no one is too young to be enlisted into God's army. Remember, David was automatically enlisted into Israel's army immediately after he killed Goliath of the Philistines. He officially became a man of war when he killed that giant at a tender age, below 20. And ever since then, he had occupied himself with wars, fighting various wars with the enemies of God, and it became an integral part of his life.*

Today, you can carry the banner of our LORD, and let's shatter the ranks of darkness together. Remember, these aren't physical wars, but are on a spiritual level. *"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."* Ephesians 6: 12, 13

Today, irrespective of your age, you can become a man/woman of war by joining God's Army. How can you be enlisted and become part of the Army of God? First, accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life and forsake your sins. Then you become a True Warrior of Christ as you play your roles in promoting God's kingdom.

As Heaven's warrior, make it a regular habit to indulge in spiritual exercises like praying, fasting, studying the Bible, and evangelism, and keep energizing your spiritual muscles to do a lot for the Lord's glory.

I'm always conscious that I wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore I take up the whole armour of God every day, and I'm able to stand victorious at all times.

TOPIC: Spiritual Death Easily Attracts Physical Death (Part 2)

Till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, He did not know it would cost his life. Proverbs 7:23

*Message*

In the book of Proverbs chapter 7, particularly from verse 6 to 23, we see an incident about a young man who was 'blocked' by a crafty harlot (an adulteress). After enticing him with smooth words such as 'I have spread my bed with tapestry, colored coverings of Egyptian linen'(Vs 16), 'come, let us take our fill of love until morning'(Vs 18), and 'my husband is not at home' (Vs 19), she was able to lure him into her chambers!

But the aftermath was described thus:

"Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter... Till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, he did not know it would cost him his life' (Vs 22, 23).

How could the sinful act with the woman have cost him his life? Because, after the act, this man would simply rise and go to his home alive. So, where is the 'death' being talked about? The answer is simple. First of all, for going into her chambers to indulge in a sinful act, this man already sinned against God by disobeying His commandment, and his unholy act has ensured a separation between him and God. Separating himself from God is equal to cutting himself from Life, and he is thus a walking corpse.

Now, his state of spiritual death would easily attract a physical dimension of death eventually. How? See it this way. Neighbors saw him enter into the adulteress' chamber, and they started spreading the incident. The news went viral about how the man had sex with another man's wife, and everyone started avoiding him, regarding him as an evil person who could do anything to satisfy his own lust. The result threw him into depression. His business was affected. His honor butchered. No friend again, no companion. No more steady resources. Then, he begins nurturing suicidal thoughts..... Or, perhaps....

The adulteress' husband arrived, heard the news, went to the man's house in annoyance, and killed him brutally. He died! What killed him? Sin! Unfortunately, when he was about to commit that sin, 'he did not know it would cost his life'.

Are you addicted to something sinful? Ask the LORD for help to break free.

TOPIC: Spiritual Death Easily Attracts Physical Death (Part 1)

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:17

*Message:*

Spiritual death is simply a state of separation from God, who is the source of Man. So, after the LORD gave Adam an instruction of love, He told the man the repercussion attached to disobedience - which is death. But in Genesis chapter 3, after Adam and his wife disobeyed, they didn't drop dead physically quite all right, but they experienced a more brutal form of death - spiritual death, as they were separated from God and started struggling with life.

However, even spiritual death eventually brings premature physical death. When the Godhead was planning on creating mankind, the original intent was that humans would live forever on earth, like it is in the divine realm. However, being separated from God, even man's physical bodies eventually started depreciating, and humans started experiencing physical death. Adam died at age 930 (Genesis 5:5), but it was still a premature death since his original destiny was to live forever on earth. But then, spiritual death will eventually lead to physical death.

In Romans 6:23, it was revealed that "... the wages of sin is death...". It means, deal with sin, you deal with death. Right now, through faith in Christ Jesus, we dealt with spiritual death as we are connected back to our Source. But living in sin brings about separation from God, as the Holy God will never condone unholiness.

When you see a person living their life outside of God, such is definitely disconnected from Life (God is Life; God Is The Source of Life). And a person without life is dead. An individual separated from God is a walking corpse, even if such seems to be hale and healthy here on earth and making progress according to human standards. Such is closer to physical death than they can imagine. And should that person die without making amends with God, then he or she is at risk of experiencing the ultimate death - being forever separated from God in hell.

Is there anyone you know who is living a life disconnected from God? Pray for them today.

TOPIC: Job's Maturity In Spirituality

*Message*

Despite not experiencing the indwelling of the Holy Spirit like Christians today, Job has challenged us to strive toward spiritual maturity in no small measure, irrespective of what we see around us.

Here is a man who wouldn't separate wealth from spirituality, and who, more importantly, coordinated his material blessings towards a better relationship with his God. He rode upon the comfort and opportunities given him by his wealth to seek God's heart every day, even offering sacrifices to God "regularly" (Job 1:5).

*As believers today, it is necessary to utilize God's Wisdom to coordinate the blessings He has given us towards helping us get better in our relationship with Him. An easy way to identify an immature Christian is how their success and possessions make them go contrary to God's perfect Will.*

Now, when satan introduced unpleasant occurrences to Job, those things only pushed him closer to God. 'In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.' (Job 2:10). Job also took advantage of those difficult times and rose upon their wings to become a more spiritual person (and that is when he was able to write those wise words that became a part of the Bible).

*Of course, another easy way to identify an immature Christian is how their tough and difficult times draw them away from the LORD.*

And after Job bounced back to his feet, Satan became confused over his life. The devil is scared of sending another issue towards Job's way - he fears the challenges will only get Job closer to God. While Job continues flourishing, his successes get him closer to God. This is maturity in spirituality.

I ride upon every life situation to become much better in my walk with the LORD.

*Message*

God is interested in the continuous spiritual growth of His children, and He is always excited to see us become better and better in our walk with Him. He wants you to get to that stage of maturity where nothing, good or bad, can shake your relationship with Him.

*We are talking about a stage where whenever something good happens to you, it energizes your relationship with God, and even when something negative comes your way, it merely prompts you to stick closer to God for comfort and solution.*

You know, when something unpleasant happens to some people, the devil takes advantage of their pain to ensure they start distancing themselves from God and even start hating Him. But if a Christian has attained a reasonable height of maturity, even if anything bad should come their way, these challenges would push them closer to the LORD and get them better in their spiritual walk with Him.
On the other hand, there are folks who allow a measure of success and achievements to take them away from God. We've seen and heard about Christians who were drawn away from a healthy relationship with God after they became rich, got a great job, got married, etc. But a reasonably mature believer is one whose successes would only energize them to cleave closer to God in gratitude, as well as an expectation for more of God's goodness.

The Will of God for you is that you should be unshaken in the midst of life's occurrences, either good or bad. But how can this be possible? "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13). Always draw nourishment from a healthy relationship with the LORD.

It doesn't matter what life brings my way, I am not forgetful of the truth that I'm like a tree planted by the riverside, and I flourish at all times.

These randy guys are smart. They know how to exploit the emotional nature of women to the fullest. They know the average woman craves love and care and affection. So, either verbally or with their actions, they keep convincing you that they care about you. Once they successfully make the lady believe he's in love with her, they know she will become vulnerable towards and around him - she will want to reciprocate and do all it takes to keep him. He then exploits this mercilessly, making her crawl into his bed at his pleasure before ditching her.

My Counsel: I will counsel from two perspectives. The first one will be to encourage you to have an intimate relationship with the LORD and let Him teach you by experience what true love is - this will help you not to be a "love slave" (someone who is always thrown off her feet whenever any guy says he loves her). The second perspective will revolve around the fact that an average guy cannot love you truly if he hasn't first encountered God (Who is the True Love) and fallen in love with the Holy Ghost.

Firstly, you see, God is Love, and since we were created in His image and likeness, it follows that we are also creatures of love, created to love and receive love. We all have the innate desire to love (to give and show love to others), as well as to crave to receive love from others (to be shown love in return). This is a characteristic of a normal person created in God's image and likeness.

However, the error of many women lies with where they go to seek love, and what they fall in love with. Hence, many are in problem today because they fall in love with dangerous persons and things that were designed by the evil devil to carry out his evil mission - to steal, to kill and destroy (John 10:10). We can talk about alcohol and drugs; masturbation and pornography; immoral boyfriends and girlfriends relationships; materialism and mammon; etc. They thought these things were good lovers that would give them genuine pleasure and satisfaction. Unfortunately, these things only lead them to destruction, ruin, and regret.

Problem arises when you fail to channel your love to the right One - the True Lover. You are configured to love God your Creator first and above any other, and to receive love from Him above anything else. When you are saturated with God's Love and you find pure fulfillment inside of Him alone, it guides how you give love to those around you, and you are directed to like only the things He permits (which won't be harmful to you).

You can explore love inside of God (which is what you are destined to do) through faith in Jesus Christ. As you embrace Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, He sends a tangible Lover to your life - the Holy Spirit. As you grow in love with Him, He empowers you to keep attending to the business of love in the right way. I'm encouraging you to stop seeking pleasure from sinful and harmful persons and places and things. They are polluted counterfeits of the original thing - that you enjoy pure pleasure in your relationship with the Lord Jesus.

Also, if a guy is claiming to love you without having a loving relationship with the Lord, he is simply confusing lust and infatuation for love. God is Love, and only He can tutor a man on what true love is. So, if a guy does not know the LORD, and he is claiming to love you, what did he know about love, when it is even obvious he doesn't love himself (since he is living a defeated life by staying outside God)?

Now, let me tell you this about males, and it's easy to tell you this because I'm one too. Due to the configurations of the male body, if he refused to submit to the Holy Spirit, he will be driven by an intense urge for pleasure and fun, and he is ready to go to any extent to please himself (including adopting criminal actions like rape, drugging his victims, etc). Trusting a guy who isn't submitted to the Lord is foolish because even the guy can't help himself.

TOPIC: Why Hell?

and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 13:50

*Message:*

Ignorance is deadly. Hence, today, due to ignorance of the operations of spiritual and divine things, a lot of people have a penchant for making jokes about Hell Fire. For instance, there are jokes that portray the devil as a gentleman that gives people liberty to do what they desire in hell. And then funnier ones like: 'Corrupt people from so and so country are going to bribe satan to give them a conducive place inside hell fire'.

The danger attached to these jokes is that they encourage folks to take Hell with levity. But it shouldn't be handled casually, since it's a vehicle to everlasting agony, pain and torment! These things should send fearful shivers down to the spine of the average person. They should be scared of going to such a brutal place after leaving this world, and that fear ought to propel them to live a lifestyle that won't make you a candidate of hell fire

But, why hell in the first place? Remember that one of the arguments against the existence of God is that why would a so-called loving God permits people to languish in eternal torment.

Actually, hell is a place God has prepared for satan (rebellious Lucifer) and his demons (fallen angels). You see, the cunning Lucifer was able to pull some angels to his side to rebel against The Almighty God. And after the devil was banished from heaven alongside his cohorts, their punishment is to be eternally doomed inside the fire that never quench (see Jude verse 6, Revelation 12: 7-13, Mark 9: 47, 48)

Now, you should understand that the LORD is a God of justice and order. The realms He made were configured to operate via divine standards and principles. When God created the world, He made it with purpose and principles. There are certain principles that governs the universe which God won't want to interfere with (God made them so in the first place).

*One of these principles is: What A Person Sows, Is What They Reaps. If you sow a corn, you reap a corn (and not mangoes). If you sow wickedness, you reap the bitter rewards of wickedness. If you live a reckless lifestyle of sin, you reap the bitter rewards of sin (which is death, according to Romans 6: 23)*

Why do we punish lawbreakers? Why do we send to jail thieves and murderers? Aren't we all humans? That is it! It is absurd giving the same rewards to a lawbreaker and a law-abiding citizen. A law-abiding citizen would be praised, while a lawbreaker punished. This is not wickedness, it is simply one of life's principles: What You Sow Is What You Reap!

Today, intercede for folks whose feet are still on the path that leads to hell.

TOPIC: Don't Miss The Cloud Meeting (Part 2)

And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:31

*Message*

Immediately after the rapture, the Great Tribulation will begin, and the Antichrist will be given the power to torment those left behind. The Antichrist will force people to receive the mark of the beast (666) either on their forehead or arm.

Those who won't receive it would be vehemently tormented: They won't be able to buy and sell, and they will suffer violent persecutions with no one to help. And according to the graphic illustration given by the Lord Jesus about the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:15-28), many won't be able to withstand the torments for long (that is, they can't help but receive the mark of the beast)
Those who will receive the mark of the beast will be eternally damned in the lake of fire at the appointed time.

Don't forget that while the tribulation is taking place on earth, the Saints that have been raptured are with Jesus Christ in the sky enjoying the marriage supper as well as their rewards.

Then, at the end of the marriage supper in the sky and the Tribulation on earth, THE SECOND COMING will take place.

The Second Coming is the public revelation of Jesus Christ, when He comes WITH HIS SAINTS (those who have been previously raptured and have participated in the marriage supper in the sky) to set up the Millennium (see 1 Thessalonians 3:13 and Matthew 24: 29-31)

Here, those who have suffered just because they won't take the mark of the beast during the Great Tribulation, will now have a new hope.

Dear reader, Jesus said the day and hour of these events are not known but will happen anytime, and it will come like a thief in the night. He gave us some signs we should watch out for, and if you look at the scriptures, you will see the signs keep coming to pass.

That means, if Jesus Christ can predict those things and TRUELY, they keep coming to pass, then His promise of the rapture and second coming will also come to pass!

So, if you are yet to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please do so now, as tomorrow might be too late.

And for we that are already Christians, always retain the consciousness that Jesus will return one day, and let this guide you towards godly conduct at all times. The LORD comes.

TOPIC: Don't Miss The Cloud Meeting (Part 1)

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. I Thessalonians 4:17

*Message*

There is a supernatural flight that is upon us, it is known as the Rapture of the Saints. True Saints in Christ, both dead and living, will be supernaturally transported to a place in the skies where we will have a great deal of fellowship with the LORD Jesus.

Of course, it is obvious many believers today are not even acquainted with the doctrine of the Rapture and the Second Coming. This ought not to be so. As a Christian, this is one of the things about our faith you must be so sure about, and you must be able to teach others when necessary too.

First of all, we need to know that The Rapture and The Second Coming are two different events that will happen at different times.

The Rapture (from the Latin verb 'rapere', which means 'to transport from one place to another') is the catching up of all believers for a glorious meeting with Christ in the air. In 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, Paul, by the Holy Spirit, revealed:

*"Behold I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed - in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."*

So, The Rapture comes first and is an event whereby the Lord Jesus comes for His Saints (dead and living), and we shall meet Him in the air.

*The Saints are those who have accepted Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of their lives and are living to please Him in spirit and in truth. The Saints are those living a CONSISTENT holy and godly lifestyle, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. They are the ones who will be transformed to meet Jesus in the air, while unbelievers (including folks who claim to know Christ but are actually not His) will be left behind.*

After the rapture, the Saints will proceed into the sky to participate in the marriage feast of the Lamb, where rewards would be given to everyone present according to his/her deeds on earth. You must not miss this important meeting, please.

Ask the LORD to help you live for Him in an acceptable manner.

TOPIC: Can We Be Friends?

Every now and then, physically or in the online space, you get friendship invitations directly or indirectly, with different people seeking a relationship with you for different reasons. However, while it is exciting to feel relevant and sought-after, you should know that friendship (both online and offline) can make or mar you, and you must be very careful before allowing anyone into your personal space.

I will give you a general divine insight that should help you govern your approach to dealing with people, extracting wisdom from the Tabernacle of Moses. The Tabernacle of Moses was separated into 3 areas: the Outer Court, the Holy Place, and the Most Holy Place (or Holy of Holies). Several people can be found ministering in the Outer Court. However, only a few people (who must be priests) can enter the Holy Place (a tent in the center of the Outer Court). Finally, there is a smaller sacred space known as the Holy of Holies (a smaller chamber that is at the back of the Holy Place), that the high priest enters just once a year.

Therefore, you should have categories for people in your interactions with the world out there, even as far as relationships are concerned. You should have those you relate with at a general superficial level (in fact, the larger chunk of those you meet should be in this category). Yes, irrespective of whatever it is, you should have a good relationship with everyone and be cool with everybody, irrespective of where you met them.

Be friendly with everyone, since God can use anybody (even unbelievers) for your progress in destiny. However, these ones should simply be at a general level and don't allow just anyone to have access to your intimate space.

*Then, you should have very few people within your personal space. Whether males or females, the primary yardstick to determine those you allow here is their submissiveness and yieldedness to the Lord Jesus. The few people in this cadre can have a positive influence on you, because some of them will be part of your inner circle (particularly if they are good Christians whose visions and lifestyle align with yours).*

Therefore, anyone you will allow into your close circle should first be a genuine child of God through faith in Christ Jesus, who has submitted to the Holy Spirit in spirit and in truth. If you already have someone in your personal space who is not submitted to the Lord in spirit and in truth, kindly demote them to your general space, for your own good. This is because, such persons will be an available tool that the devil would use to take you off the track of destiny when the need arises.

Ask for divine wisdom to handle friendship without being burnt.

*Message:*

For very good reasons, the Godhead was very meticulous about the choice of who would eventually become the earthly parents of Jesus. While the Young Jesus still retained His God features, He was also a full human with human tendencies as a young chap. Hence, if His parents don't get parenting right, the Young Boy can be negatively influenced by society and peers, and He could dip His hands into wrong things which then disqualify Him from being a worthy sacrifice for the sin of Man.

So, when we recognize the fact that even as a growing Child, the Young Jesus could avoid committing a single sin, then we should applaud His parents for a good job well done too.

*Obviously, the Young Boy was saturated with the Word of God while growing, and He was introduced to divine wisdom as early as possible. As a parent, ensure your children are being taught God's Word regularly. It doesn't matter how busy you are or how complex your family is, make sure there is a system where the children interact with the Word each day.*

You should always remind the kids of God's word again and again, alongside the benefits and consequences of going against the Word. Place emphasis on the blessings associated with doing the will of God, and let them learn to point out the fruits of their obedience in their own lives.

Of course, all of these won't be realistic if you are not a God-fearing born-again Christian in the first place. You can't give what you don't have. If you aren't a good believer who gives great priority to God's word in the first place, you can hardly make the kids have passion for it too. Children prefer learning from the lifestyles of those they trust rather than mere words.

Pray for every Christian parent around the world for God's help to become worthy examples for their children.

TOPIC: Parenthood: A Noble Profession (Part 2)

Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them, but His mother kept all these things in her heart. Luke 2:51

*Message*

Jesus has been in existence even before the foundations of the world were put in place. In Revelation 1:8 He attested: “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Then He descended down here to die for the sin of mankind and reconcile us back to God and to recover what we lost to the enemy. *You know, Jesus has the power to make a garment of flesh for Himself and just jump right into the earth as a grown man. But He intentionally decided to humble Himself to come through an existing family unit, to validate the great divine significance of a family community. Then, He was divinely placed in Mary's womb and came into this world like every other baby.*

And despite being God in man, when He was still a Young Boy, He grew in the will of God. He might have grown up around some naughty kids who could have influenced Him negatively and pushed Him away from His divine purpose. Don't forget that as a Man who decided to subject Himself to the things pertaining to mankind so He could be a worthy High Priest eventually, He was also tempted like every other human, even from childhood.

As a child and youth, like every other young chap, He would have been tempted to act naughty and nasty too. He would have been tempted to fight other kids, tell a lie, steal his parent's money to get some candy, etc. But He held on to intimacy with the Godhead and could ignore the temptations to remain a worthy atoning sacrifice.

Hence, as parents today, if you want your children to be God-fearing and successful in life despite the deep corruption in our societies today, then you can help your children follow the growth pattern of Jesus.

*One of the best things you will do in your quest for success in parenthood is to lead your children to Jesus Christ at the very earliest stages of their lives. In their innocence, they can enjoy undiluted and pure encounters with the Lord that will satisfy their cravings and empower them to stand out from the corrupt crowd.*

Pray that the Lord should encounter every child in the world today and bring them into the knowledge of His Will.

TOPIC: The Enemy Hates The Family Unit

Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. Genesis 2:24‭-‬25

*Message*

The family unit is a very powerful one in a class of its own. Get the family right, you will get the society right. Before a child can grow into interacting with other mind-shaping agencies (like media, peers, school, etc) the child first and foremost interacts with his or her family at an innocent level. The family is a very powerful force, and this is one of the reasons the enemy is vehemently attacking families and destroying divine family structures.

In the wisdom of God, He has put in place a formidable structure upon which the beauty of a family will be maximized for His Glory. First, a man (a male gender) will marry a woman (a female) under the right circumstances.

Talking about the right circumstances, we are saying there are already structures that will take care of at least the basic needs of the new family - including shelter, food, and clothing. Also, the couple isn't defiling the marriage bed by engaging in immoral sexual activities before tying the knot.

Then, there should be approval of the new family from key members of their existing family community. The couple should also have a resolve to stay married. That's why it's always necessary to first take time to study themselves for some time and determine if they can be fine together. But then, the fact remains that they can't exhaust knowing each other even in 20 years. Hence, once it's obvious that they have the same direction and mindset about the important things in life, and there is maturity to accommodate each other's flaws with love, then they should be fine.

As married couples, they are expected to adhere to a great wisdom given by the Innovator behind the marriage institution (God Himself), which says:

*"Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church."* Ephesians 5:22‭-‬29

But these are the configurations the enemy is attacking today as far as the family structure is concerned, and the aim is to make the family unit as weak as possible due to the powerful potential embedded in it to wreak havoc on the kingdom of darkness. The enemy wants folks of the same gender to get married. The enemy wants divorce to be the other of the day. The enemy wants men, who are meant to be leaders and priests of the home, to lose their manliness and become weak. And many more, which are obvious today.

*A proper family that is thriving in accordance with God's divine injunctions will keep generating enough force to pull down the strongholds of darkness in our societies. They will produce offspring that God can utilize to enact His purposes on the earth realm.*

*Prayer*
Today, take time to pray for the family unit, and ask the LORD to keep frustrating all the efforts of the enemy over our families.

TOPIC: *Chasing The Heart Of God (Part 3)*

So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die. II Samuel 12:13

*Message*

From the opening verses of Isaiah 11, we start seeing the picture of the configurations of the LORD's Messiah. After exploring the operations of the anointing of the Holy Ghost upon Him, we were then told that:

*"His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears".* (vs 3). So, amid the richness of the divine abundance where He flourishes from, the fear of the Lord is paramount to Him.

The Messiah is a perfect pattern for the operations of a kingship that pleased the LORD. Hence, one of the reasons King David got things right was his priority to the fear of the Lord. From David's case, it's obvious God's mercies are available for our shortcomings as He understands our imperfections. However, when we truly fear the Lord and He sees our holy reverence of Him to govern our affairs, it is easy to become God's close friend.

So, when Saul sinned against God, God removed him afterward. After David sinned against God, God embraced him afterward. Why? It is because David acknowledged his sins due to the fear of God residing inside of him. This is also evident in the fact that he sought repentance immediately.

Thus, David as a king feared God and ruled with the fear of God - and this pleased God.

*As believers bent on pleasing the LORD at all times, give great priority to the fear of the LORD and let your holy reverence of Him shape the way you think, act, and interact with the world. Indeed, you will stand out from the crowd, and God can boast of you to satan that "This is one of my children who I so much love".*

Pray for a revival of the fear of the LORD.

TOPIC: Chasing The Heart Of God (Part 2)

As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. Psalms 42:1

*Message*

Following a careful study of the man David, you will also see how he followed God wholeheartedly. Here is a man who was found to have a penchant for placing God's will above his own. King David was always interested in the things of God, so much so that he couldn't hold back his excitement when it was about going to the house of God and his deep affection for the place.

Also, David stood out as a man always eager to know God's will before he took any steps. In 1 Samuel 30, we read some profound stuff there. So, while David and his men were out of town, the enemy army invaded their space, burnt down everything, and took their wives and children away as captives. When David and his men returned, they saw the devastating situation and everyone started wailing. And while David himself also needs comfort, since his family was also kidnapped, this was what happened:

*"David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters." I Samuel 30:6*

Just imagine that! In such a hostile condition, he should simply have hurriedly mobilized his warriors to instantly chase the enemy. But rather than angrily chasing after the enemy at that point, he decided to chase after God's heart to know God's will. He strengthened himself in the Lord his God and, "David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” (vs8).

So, if God had told David, "No, wait till tomorrow", David would have still obeyed God even if it meant being stoned by the people. He would rather obey God than be popular and loved by the people, unlike Saul who was vehemently concerned with pleasing his subjects over pleasing God.

*Dear believer, like David, God expects that you give Him your all at all times and ensure you place your will under God's will every day. Whatever God wants becomes what you want; anything God doesn't want, you ignore.*

So, if you have an interest in pursuing something (a career, relationship, etc) and God said 'I don't like this', then you have to drop such pursuits. And on the other hand, if you don't have an interest in something and God says 'I want you to go after this', then you need to go after it. These are the things David did in his successful attempts to pant after God's heart.

I'm helped of God to subject my will to God's at all times. In Jesus Name.

TOPIC: Chasing The Heart Of God (Part 1)

And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’ Acts 13:22

*Message*

David is always a role model, and he is one of the most important personalities we see in the Bible. Here is a common shepherd who rose to become Israel's greatest king; he became a Patriarch who is worthy of emulation even today.

We see God repeatedly referring to David as a man after His own Heart. This is profound since it came from the mouth of the LORD Himself directly. The fact that he could achieve such a feat in spite of the limitations of his dispensation is something that should make this ancient Jewish king a good man to study even in our contemporary dispensation as Christians. Hence, if we give good attention to some of the things he did that earned him that honorable divine title, Christians today can learn a thing or two.

Check through the pages of the scriptures, and it will become glaring that David properly positioned himself to win God's heart by his faithful commitment to keeping God's commandments. "...and yet you have not been as My servant David, who kept My commandments and who followed Me with all his heart, to do only what was right in My eyes." (I Kings 14:. David was a dogged lover of God's law and he made God's law his close companion.

When the children of Israel were yet to enter the promised land, even many years before David was born, God knew His people would demand a king someday, and He gave them certain principles for kingship (Deuteronomy 17:14-20). Amongst other things, the LORD instructed:

*“When he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the one before the priests, the Levites. And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes, that his heart may not be lifted above his brethren, that he may not turn aside from the commandment to the right hand or to the left, and that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children in the midst of Israel."*

Whilst a man like Saul and several other Jewish kings didn't take this seriously, King David carefully adhered, and it contributed greatly to his success as a king, as well as his relationship with God.

*As Christians today, we need to know the importance of heeding God's word and doing His Will in our day-to-day living. While God loves everyone in Christ Jesus, those who are committed to obeying His commandments passionately at all times have a unique spot in His heart. And following King David's footsteps, you need to be a lover of God's word (both the written Word and the spoken Word).*

Give great priority to studying the bible regularly. Always ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand and live by it, and you are on your way to having a unique spot in God's heart like David.

*Prayer*
Today, ask the LORD for a deeper craving for His word.
