Don't mind the fella! Some people thrive on minor arguments to justify heinous crimes!!!

barcanista:
You fail to answer my question. Does that mean ALL residents of Rivers State are indigent people? If you say "population" what is the Official percentage of Northerners and those in the Lower Niger? You are not being sincere with yourself for justifying this grave injustice and inequality (I am not surprise though).
PoliticsRe: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by internetpirate: 8:41am On May 01, 2015
Why do you think Festus Odimegu was booted out of NPC? The answer is in falsified population census figure! Let's use a means of verification like card readers, facial recognition software etc for census and see what would happen! It would take a magician to say Nassarawa is more populated than Abia or Kaduna is more populated than Port Harcourt!

barcanista:
The Leaders of the Lower Niger that agreed to this arrangement did us a great disfavor. This can't continue. It clearly means that people at the lower Niger are at the mercies of the North in terms of having their requests granted. This is absurd

Bro, you're right! I also lived most of my life up North and I can validate your claims! I'm often amused when I see people who live in the South trivialise the issue! Maybe because they compare experience with Yoruba Muslims who are much better? That's why a lot of us were against Buhari, not for Buhari's credibility, but for the fear of bringing these religious bigots (that must certainly follow) to power!!

The average core Northerner sees this as a religious victory, but our people are hung up on words like credibility, incorruptible etc. I have strived with all my heart not to be a bigot, but how do you react to this wall of hate??

May God help us!!

I was born in northern Nigeria (Borno) were I lived for eighteen years before I gained admission to Uniben. wot many of u don't knw is d degree of hatred muslims have for Christians. der r many oda religions beside Christianity yet I don't understand y muslims hv a special spot in der hearts for hating Christians. its rili pathetic.

I'm interested in this move Truckpusher and Barcanista! Count me in!!

Truckpusher:
First step is to take email addresses, screen them, contact them to create mini units in different cities for a start ,then we can start scheduling meetings in different cities to stabilize and know our membership strength and individual follower-ship and after we can schedule for our first general meeting.

This might take up to 6 months to 8 months .

No agenda would be discussed online but we will encourage members to have an online interaction forum (we will also create interaction groups in the social media) where people can discuss ideas and admittance into such forums would be strictly controlled to an extent.

These things won't happen overnight without efforts and different forms of sacrifices.

But we must start from somewhere and we need to start it NOW.

RomanceTwins Impregnated By The Same Man! Man Expresses Shock! by internetpirate(op): 10:39am On Apr 10, 2015
24-year-old water vendor, Dauda Idris, has impregnated identical twin sisters Stella and Stellamaris, aged 20.
The incident occurred in Kwamba Primary School area in Suleja, where the twin sisters live with parents and a brother while Idris often stayed with other water vendors for service in the same area.

Blueprint gathered that when the news were reviewed to Dauda by the twin sisters that they were pregnant, Idris break down and lament in the sight of crowd with shock, saying: “Oh my God I never knew both of you are twins, I have impregnated twin sisters”.

The twin sisters narrated how it all happened in six months.

“Right from our childhood days, my twin sister and I are used to playing pranks on people; our parents are no exception, especially our father. The interesting thing about us is that it is only our mother, who can tell us apart.

“As identical twin, we wear the same clothes, talk and walk the same way, wear the same hairstyle, in fact we do everything together both planned and unplanned.

“Some time back, I was sitting at the balcony when this handsome water vendor walked up to fill our reservouir with water.

“Immediately, I told Stellamaris about Idris. As weeks passed by, Idris and I became close friends, and then Stellamaris suggested that we play pranks on him since I didn’t tell him I was a twin.

“However, we agreed that we would not fall in love with him, not in the least, going to bed with him.
“This charade went on for about six months until the day I told Stellamaris that I was pregnant.

“While we were contemplating on whether I should have an abortion, Stellamaris also discovered she was pregnant. “God, how can two sisters be pregnant for the same man?”

“My mother found out that we were both pregnant. She asked us who was responsible for our pregnancy as abortion was out of the way.Stella added saying “I could not tell her the whole truth but promised to take her to the house of the man responsible”.

Wow! Much respect! There is still hope for Nigerians! If we can make all see without tribal and glasses, the country will be great someday! You are so right! But guess what? Many would disagree with you despite their ignorance and lack of research! They would rather gravitate towards tribal band wagons or drivel.

GboyegaD:
In my opinion, I believe Ojukwu was an hero. He fought a good fight although, it is possible to handle the situation in another manner. He stood against what he perceived an injustice by appointing Gen. Yakubu Gowon over Brig. Babafemi Ogundipe. To those who call him by names, I think it is either borne out of lack of knowledge or some ethnic or tribal bias (indoctrination) many were washed with.

The Oba must NEVER be disrespected. EVER

Nowhere in Nigeria -east of the Niger- is the Yoruba or any other tribe accorded the kind of gesture the Igbos have been enjoying in Lagos in the last 12 or so years since these bonafide Igbo men entered into the Lagos political scene.

Yoruba And Igbo Must Remain Divided To Keep Nigeria One
By
Farouk Martins Aresa
faroukomartins@aim.com

When Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe was taken to task to explain why he passed on Awolowo’s offer to become the Prime Minister.  He simply said it might have led to the breakup of Nigeria if the North was isolated. Either by design or omission, the logic still stands today but the reasoning and supporters of that logic may have changed. Actually Tafawa Balewa was unmoved by the so called Southern union, vowing to be Opposition Leader.

There has to be some positive spin to the division in the South. There is also division in the North but it is not as pronounced. No matter how you take it, no part of the Country can clearly delineate agreeable people within one region. Biafra has other ethnic groups that do not consider themselves part of the Nation. The same is true of the North Central. The Hausa that form the majority in the North are controlled by minority Fulani. Even the Yoruba, in spite of common lingua-franca, can only boast of Diaspora union.

Therefore, as long as the Country stands as Nigeria, Yoruba and Igbo will always fight for political dominance and the Hausa will always come to their rescue so that they do not destroy our Country. Whenever you hear intellectuals and theorists debate about separation as a mere geographical expression; amuse yourselves. Listen if you can with guguru and epa to grace your precious time. They cannot agree on their base, yet they want Nigeria to split. Split into what?

If you are one of the frequent visitors to internet sites, you get some of the point here. We have young men and women born after the War going mercilessly at one another as if they were there. Even more disturbing, some of these young people have never been on the Nigerian soil. Needless to say, you know who is feeding them with venom about the Country on different version of their novel history.
CelebritiesRe: Don Jazzy Wisdomly Response To A Fan On Instagram About Oba Okiolu's Statement by internetpirate: 8:24pm On Apr 07, 2015
Everyday, the lie gets more convoluted! They say it may considered smart to fool others, but it is the greatest foolishness when you fool yourself! When and where did you get statements on all you have alluded to? More so, when did the monopoly of Yahoo boys (419ners) and drugpushers become an Igbo monopoly? It's almost shared into two by Igbos and Yorubas! If a Hausa guy had made the statement, I would have agreed with him because Hausa people hardly indulge in these type of crimes (they prefer murder, arson, child molestation, religious hate crimes etc)

iluvweed:
Why wont the OBA be angry? When one foolish man (JK) said " Igbo developed and controlled Lagos" Now how is this possible? Cos all the flat heads I see around me are either Yahoo boys, Thieves, Blood money ritualist, 419ners, drug pushers, or kidnappers!...So how have they developed and controlled lagos? with PIRACY?

Please, explain the word "help"? And in context, how did the Yoruba help Igbos? It's important you clarify this, for posterity's sake!

veraponpo:
It takes two to tango.

Oba Akinolu may not be right on this but the attitude of our Igbo brothers and sisters could frustrate one.

Having helped them more than what their region has done for them, instead of being grateful; their actions seem to be undermining the essence of our existence through their incendiary statements. Calling their hosts cowards- what do you want after that-fight to show we are not cowards.

Oba Akinolu is their match and that is why the situation seems difficult now.

A gentle king could be disobeyed easily but did they say anything at the palace? No. They dare not.

It was after leaving the palace that chest beating, ultimatum , etc started surfacing.

Who then is the cowards? Ta lo fe gbenan woju ekun lai f'eje we ( who wants to put light at the face of a tiger without being bathed with blood)

My dear, we all have some ancestry! I'm also of royal blood that is steeped in centuries of spirituality and tradition! But jokes apart, that is my traditional name! Lol! I unconsciously "thumped" my chest in blind rage!! I am a Christian and repudiate what the name stands for! God forgive me for even mentioning it!

It's saddening that our youths have lost focus! I attended a unity school, and I made good friends from all parts of the country! I am not married to someone of the same ethnicity, and I honestly wanted to marry an Igala or Yoruba person for personal reasons! But the quality of people I meet these days leaves much to be desired!!

On a more serious note, its saddening what this country has turned into. Our youths who are supposed to promote unity, peace and progress are the ones fanning the embers of discord.

My dear, I have never been this angry in years! I hate threats of any kind! If I make a threat, I'd stake my life to keep to it! The tone and the choice of words by the so-called Oba makes my blood boil! I am Ekpokamalu Igirigi Olaabali, an Ohafia son. We have never been people to be threatened!

But thanks! Your response has served to calm me down a bit! I'm truly tired of this politics of ethnicity and tribalism in Nigeria! May God help us! It's particularly scary because our youths and intellectuals (who should know better) are endorsing it and fanning the ambers of discord!

My apologies if I my anger showed to much!

Your Oba is a degenerate tout if he made such a comment! Now, I dare you to try to decimate the Igbos like you are calling for! Don't be a coward, try it! If you survive the first 7 days after that, then you are free to insult Igbos all you can! Anu mpama! Toothless bulldog! I have never been so annoyed on Nairaland!! Jesus!!

Adegbodolu1:
We Yorubas must go back to the drawing board and be prepared to kill the cowards among us.

It is time to sort out this Igbo problem. The Igbos were welcomed visitors but they have slowly turned to enemies.

We must be prepared to fight and KILL our enemy, its a simple rule of existence. They are now going way too far and must be curtailed.

They are "head-strong" because we have chosen to treat them with gentility. Our attitude towards them because of the guilt of seeing their suffering during the civil war now needs to change.

Look at all the insults passed on our OBA.................

We must destroy their economic base in our land.....simple
