PoliticsIf You Suddenly Became Nigeria's President. by intrepid(op):
Fate and luck seem to be changing people's circumstances, positions regularly in Nigeria....Examples are abundantly obvious....Assuming by a stroke of chance you suddenly become the commander in chief as happened to Gej,WHAT'LL BE YOUR FIRST ACTION? This'll show us your perception of our problems as a nation and skills to solve them....Do not reel out for us a list of wat to tackle or problems on ground....We know they are many.....YOU now have all the powers to act and return this nation to greatness we aspire.....HOW WOULD YOU BEGIN-YOUR FIRST ACTION?

ezotik: rice is not what nigerians generally eat with hand in their homes and it has nothing to do with silver spoon. and even if u go across mama puts/restaurants from villages to cities, i doubt u will find anyone eating rice with hand.
I just saw some children doing it now...I also recall watching almajiris doing same in Jigawa state....I mean that you have neva seen it does not mean that ppl dont do it.I believe you 'll see it someday.

Its so funny recalling those days when we didnt bother about using spoons or forks to eat anything.Even rice was loaded with hands and transfered to the oral cavity for normal mastiaction and onward deglutition....Mien the "stew" knew nothing like tomatoes and the water component would flow down the elbow as you scoop the "delicacy" .Other foods also were treated the same way.Did anyone in the house ever eat with bare hand?No forming Europian or American here, abeg.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastors Will Buy More Jets – Bishop Francis Oke by intrepid: 10:52pm On Dec 13, 2012
OmoPastor: @ plappville

you talk with no understanding of what you say.

do you think God is a fool? if God has not called you to be a Pastor; a leader of His kids, but you decided to call yourself, then you are in hot soup.

As a man called by God, your life has been totally bought over by God and you no longer have authority over what you do, where you go or even what you say. seem a lot of talkers on this forum are so naive at the meaning of being called by God.

so if an MOG decides to acquire a jet without being told by God to do so, that dude has shot himself in the foot. so before you start castigating and mouth-murdering MOGs, please take some time to think about this.
if God told him to buy it, so be it and there is nothing any mortal like you can do about it undecided

if more jets are coming as instructed by the Master, then His will be done grin grin grin
by their fruit you shall know them...LET them start buying submarines and ships while ppl like you keeps defending them....My advice is: MAKE SURE THE MASTER'LL Recognise you when He comes again.

These churches you mentioned were all under ONE HEAD,though they had no name at the time. But as the years drew on the name Catholic was assigned.Read history, tradition of the early and contemporary church...All what you quoted WERE NEVER DIFFERENT DENOMINATIONS as you have today, saying different things and confusing the children of God.

Not a single chicken lost its life over my lovely dada hair... I'm presently grooming my daughter's hair to become a dada breed. It this time, with a difference
WAS THERE ANY history of you been unusually sick most often or becoming sick when your hair was combed?..

Kobojunkie: I do have hair that goes dread if I don't comb it after a couple of hours but I don't understand what it is exactly you want to know of. The hair? The people and their paranoid delusions about the hair? Or the culture they have built around their fears of hair of that texture?

PS. For the umpteenth time(though I would expect this to click immediately for any person born Nigerian), the moniker KoboJunkie really implies that I love the Kobo(the Nigerian currency unit). Yes, 1 Naira is not the unit, the Kobo is.
Your views exactly.thats what i want to know as you can see others sharing their experiences here.ok?Thanks

He declined to be the mediator in the BH talks with FG;he had also said severally that he didnt know the name of any member of the group...In the rumored exotic dialogue between FG and BH in Senegal, another man was mediating and not Buhari...I know that the general has gone into d bad books of many due to his utterances and also inactions during all the religious killings in d north, but I dont think he can openly deny BH and they'll not say anything to him...

I dont mean the Taribo West style,Ras Kimono or even Basket Mouth type which are all 'man-made' and surely deliberately done 4 cosmetic reasons....I speak about some children with dreadlocks which they even carry into their school-age years unshaved because it is connected to some deity and the child will die anyday the hair is cut without his consent and certain rituals done....No one is allowed to touch their hair.Sometimes the parents claim that even after shaving the hair off,it naturally re-grew in dreadlocked pattern again and would continue thus until d ritual of shaving is done!....People I dont yet understand this issue but it is with us...and some ppl here on NL may have been candidates(dada) too....Plz let someone educate us more.
CelebritiesRe: 2face Vs Dbanj: Who Is The Bigger Star? by intrepid: 6:59pm On Nov 30, 2012
fittty: None!!!! angry

Point of correction you should change the topic to "LOCAL STAR"
Neither Tuface or De'banj's music has ever been on the Billboard or even been on 106&park countdown so why regard them as Stars??
Now who do u call as a star?
An artist who's music is listened to worldwide, Artist who gets the attention of people different from his/her own tribe/country. You are only regarded as a star when you travel out of your home country for a show, get to the airport and have FOREIGNERS wait for you at the airport to take a pic and chase after your tour bus. Now take a look at Psy(Gangnam Style) that's who you regard as a Star overnight, when u have the world listening to your music then you're regarded as a star and not some local sh*t....
Where are you typing this from? You sound like one whose brain has been turned 2 maintain d imposed slave pattern of d whiteman....So these are your criteria?which song have you done? And do you think that he these guys are over dia and have d same opportunities that they wont do better than those your Oyibo idols?abeg park well.

Education without morality breeds a man without conscience. It doesnt matter if you believe wat i'm saying or not cos i know its true...The society esp d media promotes moral laxity esp in area of sexuality and women are usually at d receiving end of this errant and diabolical attitude....Why are our musical videos studded with multitude of half-nude women dancing and shaking themselves with a few men touching them one after d other while dancing around...These are the pictures that we feed to our young generations who begin to see women as mere objects of gratification and soon get curious to experience sexual intimacy at a very early age.....HOW MANY VIRGIN BOYS &GIRLS ARE STILL OUT DIA AMONG OUR TEENAGERS?.....Our musicians picked this immoral and un-African nonsense from d black Americans artistes...eg: NELLY--Ride With Me; LUDACRIS--Area Code and many others...In these videos you'll see them portraying how they could afford "truckloads or shiploads of ladies"in bikinis and making a mess of whateva moral values you have inculcated in the young minds...It is time for women to stop crying and rise up against this trend, instead of forming endless chains of NGOs that do not sometimes tackle d monster head-on...Imagine wat some of our respected actresses and other society women sometimes year to functions!?...Increase in cases of rape and child molestation,HIV infection of women and many other evils are traceable to this immoral attitude...Lets all rise and condemn it for the sake of our children and loved ones.

It was on my way to Victoria Island, just as I walked across the lane to catch a bus that he called out,"excuse me sir". I stopped and turned to behold a young man of about 28 or 30,looked very much like a graduate or even a working-class guy.He looked worried."Good afternoon sir, please dont be annoyed sir.I'm going to Ketu and the driver said that the fare is N200,and i have only N100 on me....."I did not even wait 4 him to land b4 i brought out d money and have to him, wit full compassion in my heart 4 "such a young man who was stranded and had to defy shame and ego to beg" .

About 2 days later on my way to V.I. again I Saw this same guy around d same area and in the same begging mood...It was then i realized that I Had given my money to one of the lazy Nigerian, with thwarted mentality who though sound physically, healthier than even than the donor outwardly but who are crooks playing on ppl's emotions...Have you ever seen these ppl? The Yorubas don't know what they have in this man until he will be no more.

Can people also see that Obasanjo even while out of power has more relevance and support than the idi*ot in Aso rock. Even his former enemies (Sanusi, Atiku and kwankwaso) are all part of this gesture.

Let Jonathan try such out of office and see if even the CAN president he gave a jet to will turn up not to talk of the chicken and goats roaming the streets of Otueke.
Just see how easily you are taken in by this politico-psychological acrobatics! And it shows that OBJ knew wat he did,he'll certainly get many ppl

RomanceRe: A Thread For Virgins. by intrepid: 10:31am On Nov 23, 2012
sportfeva: Virgin physically or by heart which one i belong. The opportunities were there ƒor me and i just choose not to act. During teen days, i was in boarding school as my colleague use to jump the fence and visit that place called safety. They need it, i don't blame them. That's ƒor guys ‎who don't have babe in school and this thing has to be let loose.
What guide my action then is simply my faith to be sincere as i begin to think deeply about it, i see light in the law which i still hold up to with firm.

I have rules which i strictly follow too like not being alone with a female. If i go on a visit, i go with a friend. I have dated 3 ladies before but affection don't seems to grow perhaps becos i believe not in bedding her before we get fully engaged. The last one seems to buy my idea but she can't wait ƒor me(i.e marriage) as lot guys are troubling her and i believe the love ƒor each was not enough(real). Perhaps,She too can't hold on ƒor that long and perhaps, she want to experience motherhood and forget the stage early enough.
Αll i said and done doesn't make me a saint sort of like Jesus (Let me say one tenth of Jesus). Just that i found virginity easy ƒor me as i have train my mind on it and i am determine that at this old age of mine, let me not just mess up my youth with a minute action but stay committed in passing this test of mine if this is the only act i can do to be obedient to my lord.

Stay blessed both virgins and otherwise. As ƒor my first statement, i am a virgin physically but not by heart, i bad gan as Naija will say becos i know a lot pass some disvirgins. Just be prepared as boys scout teach us those days. Some i learn through this platform and i believe i willn't mess up on my first experience even if i mess up which i doubt, less than a week is okay ƒor me master the act(seem like pro).
Keep it up pal you are a hero,in this present time esp what happens in Nigeria today...I'm in that category too and feel encouraged reading your post.KEEP YOUR HEAD UP,almost there.JESUS IS THE REASON .

RomanceHusband Celebrates Bride's Virginity! by intrepid(op): 9:34am On Nov 23, 2012
This issue of virginity hits different cords in different peoples' hearts...A man who just got married last 3 months has gone to "thank and celebrate" with his wife's family, his family and his own close friends because he discovered that his 28 year old wife was a virgin! Any uninformed visitor would think it was a minor marriage(though they didnt make it public) ceremony in their family house as enough drinks and food were in abundance...According to the 35 year old architect who also has a growing and successful business in Abuja,he was suprised and overjoyed to see such a beautiful woman who passed tru a university and at her age still maintaining her virginity.IT portrayed a strong will and showed also that she was a good woman and could be trusted....He also told the parents that it wasnt just the virginity issue but the character of the lady that made him to organise such a party! The guy said that he too was a virgin up to that point(35 years) and was very happy that he found someone who had same beliefs like him.And the lady confirmed it (I dont know how o).The man believed that her wife's parents were instrumental to the girl's determination and good character....hence his idea to come encourage and thank them.

TroGunn: As an adult, you should be able to think for yourself and decide if you want to continue in the killings and barbarism. First step is to condemn it, not give silly excuses. Are you forced to stay in the religion?
My dear tell them o.When even the seemingly educated ones among them dont see anything wrong wit barbarism and wickedness, wat do you expect from the majority of those dirty looking urchins that they deliberatly keep in abject poverty and ignorance for selfish reasons? Its not a question of NL hatred or not.I believe that if Nigerians were given a forum discus, they'll still say their mind to you even if you are a muslim friend. So K think we should grant the desire of Sardauna of Sokoto in 1950s: let the north secede and stay on their own.
