booqee: So who's gon be occupying dat seat temporarily before another pope is elected??This period of vacancy is known as "sede vacante" and the person handlin issues is the secretary of state until a new pope is elected. |
Finally let all the gossips,half-truths and fallacies about her die once and for all. |
Its one of the topics or practices that dont take much space in Catholic teaching and I only began to hear it in church at certain isolated programmes.Seems some priests dont even bother about it while some do.Also some catholic faithfuls pay while others dont care...Is titheing mandatory or optional and wat really did JESUS teach about it. Please i need a good explanation from any knowledgable and mature/unbiased Christian(s) here. |
What is BODE GEORGE doing on that list? The day Nigerian begin to publicly denounce criminals and thieves,we'll move...and wat has Ribadu in common wit BG? |
k2039: Sex lowers spirituality when it's not legal.exactly dear. There is always that guilt whenever its done outside only that ppl stiffle their conscience and appear, normal. |
Companionship is the main thing before kids and all.The woman is not an object, she is human and real men see women as humans. |
elevated2012: Christianity can make you poor if you are not careful...ask me why? Because the pastor keeps exploiting!POINT OF CORRECTION: Pastors can make you poor,NOT Christianity please. |
elevated2012: our problem is religion, we are too religious in Nigeria. All the problems I have had in my life has been as a result of religion. Please dear in a forum like this you have to be very clear and not write ambiguously.Let ppl understand your tots. How is religion your problem and how has it been so we can learn.Thanks. |
Westernization and especially influence of the media has helped to create this. Also I think that the long years spent in sch also contributes to delayed marriage....But I'LL LIKE TO STATE THAT EVERYONE likes a happy home, nice and caring husband and good children.Nothing on earth replaces this but many dont eventually have it...This singlemess can be curbed by re-orientation and upholding of our culture. |
If its from HIS GIRL as you said then the answer is yea but,if its HIS WOMAN(wife) you expect commitment and responsibility. |
emmaBS: Yet another reason for us to believe Jonathan is a trainee president.WHAT IS REALLY WRONG WITH GEJ'S ADVISERS? |
So this kind of thing really happen?I mean there is nothing impossible under d sun. |
The guy surprised everyone that day because he was rich. He had a jeep, and also had the money to get the best entourage of cars for that wedding but he arrived the venue on foot with his bride....during and After the ceremony it was wispers and talks...many people expressed different feelings, some for him others against him......** Another issue: MUST YOU ATTEND a friends wedding in your own car even when you know that the place is just a stone's throw from your abode and parking space is wahala? Is anything wrong wit leaving your Infinity Jeep or EOD at home for convenience and just trek to the venue or take public transport instead of going there and have security men bothering you to park and re-park? I want to know. |
texazzpete: In many Nigerian cultures, women went about even more unclad than some of these photos you're babbling aboutso it should continue abi? What time of history was Achebe writing about? Make sure you quote this same B.S to your kids and sisters...Preach it to them,ok. |
Seun: It depends on where you live. If you live in Lagos Island or Abuja, N135k is nothing. If you live in a small town, it's a lot of money. He lives in Enugu. |
An intern colleague of mine gets the above amount each month but says the money is not enough to make anyone rich.I dont understand him because I know people who earn 65k but they dont say anything like this......However people,i'd like to ask,"What can one do with 65k/month in Nigeria? Is it possible to become financially free on that amount when someone on 135k says 'not possible'?. |
Honestly the word is has just one meaning for most Nigerian students and has continued to take a bolder dimension. Why is it not showing any sign of slowing down or outright extinction and can "sorting" really be eradicated? |
Gambrosia: A nice topic at last! Amen!My guy and you thinks its gonna just be easy like that...Do you think there isnt any psychological involvement of the persons here?I'm waiting to see and hear as they grow. Its not a question of been raised by man or single parents. Its about a situation where there's NO FEMALE MOM. |
Sir Elton John and his partner had another child via a surrogate last week. These two children and others "born" by Other gay and lesbian parents will soon grow up and mix with the larger society, starting from schools. What will be the answer if they asked about their MOTHER or if someone insulted them with their unusual parentage? Will such child be satisfied with telling him/her that another man is the Mom? |
naptu2: If I don't get banned by pyguru, then I'll post the articles in full. Thanks 4 your link but how many of our farmers even know how to use text messaging?and has our govt created any robust technology to use short code sms for farmers that will give instant feedback about prices of products? I doubt. |
saleeh: This is one of the beauty of IslamWhat is beautiful here my friend? Apart from d widows,we all know how some of the so called divorcees esp women were kicked out by their husbands for very stupid and flimsy reasons, some even thinly veiled excuse to marry a younger girl....Bro you ppl should do sth about it and not applauding a charade. |
tbaba1234: Widows and Divorcees go through very difficult times and are stigmatized in our society. An initiative that makes it easier for them to remarry is a good one.The culture of these ppl has no regard for women and thats why they have many women divorcees.Their men or former husbands can sometimes divorce them for d most stupid reasons. |
PAGAN 9JA:I dont understand you guy. |
A good piece there...BUT when some girls/guys think that God does not matter in r/ship,esp in Nigeria,it usually backfires.I believe that one who fears God and understands the principles of godliness'll make a good mate and avoid many probs |
Many people in Nigeria and Africa believe in the potency of "juju" and we have heard several times here that somebody was "jazed" to death or even into frank madness by certain "envious or plain wicked ppl"....This issue of using it to kill or believing that someone has been killed by another by this means is very common among our ppl...and sometimes, very mysterious stories are told surrounding such deaths or misfortune....Please Nairalanders, wat is the truth?Do you or your own culture believe it? How real is this common assertion by our ppl and is their any proof?HAPPY NEW YEAR. |
A friend was trying to tell me this but I have had a contrary opinion...He is still single but claimed that a married folk told him that being intimate sometimes affects one's spirituality negatively as she noticed that she wasnt always as fervent and powerful as before.....IS this assertion true or false? What is the truth people? |
Kaxmytex: me neva see ghost for reality b4 o but i don see am 4 nollywood movie...infact,dere ghost dey get shadowSo you seriously believe say ghost dey for lagos abi and dem even join for census? MEANING that our figure we have SPIRIT-HUMAN maybe at what ratio? Lol |
binger: Ghosts are not meant to be seen by the human eye.that is why they are called ghosts/phantoms/spirits in the first place...Whoever claims to see a ghost has been watching too much Nollywood movies.Lmao.my dear you made me laf o o.But have you heard some singap narrative? |
When we were younger we heard so much about their existence, that some are good while others are bad.And ppl talked about seeing the spirit of a dead relation or friend.I dont believe it but just yesterday another guy I was discussing with about the human population in Lagos state, claimed that he believed that many of the ppl living dia were folks that died elsewhere and their spirits migrated to lagos to reside again as human and continue some biz..Eva heard any such stories?Do you beleive that ppl can see spirits? Share please.HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS. |
dangiwa09: If you don't like what they show, then, DO NOT WATCH IT. That's your right, but do NOT tell other people how to exercise their rights (What to watch). Nobody is forcing you to watch it, you can tune to one of these pastor's channels and watch it ALL DAY, that is your right!Guess you are not married yet or you dont have children or you have a disfunctional family thats why you dont feel others should condemn wat obviously is making life hell for majority...You think America is happy wit d rate of divorce dia which has its root in disregard for women and immorality? If we dont fight it,it will soon be here wit us. |
