aryzgreat: who understands haus here? wot does dat hausa word mean?I read it means "father christmas has come to market" but the man omitted the possessive "na" which changed the meaning to "holy prophet has come". Is this not madness? |
gbollykore: i live in the USA with my 3 kids, ages 7 , 5 and 2 ,they have never been to Nigeria, they understand everything in yoruba, the older two also speak yoruba, but when they get to school or go outside they speak with perfect American accent. And you find kids that have never been outside Nigeria who can not speak their native language.Thank you my bro for this.Abeg tell them o.The funny thing is that some of these parents even speak such bad English and this is wat they teach their children.the result is that We now have more and more ppl who cannot defend themselves well in their local language and cannot also speak English well.We see this everyday...you need to hear wat some ppl speak here as English! |
2nedo: I wonder ooook we have heard you all: LOCAL LANGUAGE,NATIVE LANGUAGE,MOTHER TONGUE.,NATIVE TONGUE...Oya make your own meaningful contributions to the topic.Thank you. |
Many Nigerian parents do not speak their local language to their children. This was not so some decades back and the children born in those days still grew up to become some of the most fluent and eloquent men and women we have today....I Also noticed some of the "misyans" in English sometimes from some of these English-speaking parents and they pass it on also to the kids who will reproduce same....Is it right or wrong to speak English to the kids at home and not teach or speak their native language to them?what are the merits and demerits? |
Ezeed: That's what happens when a woman decides to be one of easy virtue.Just my mind. |

I was just wondering after reading that a 16 year old has changed her gender. Many people have been reacting strongly to this and condemning the act.As we cannot stop this,i wish to know which one you consider as a lesser evil?. |
johnequino: My married friend abstained and eventually found out ∂α† his wife s libido Ȋ̝̊̅§ so low ∂α† he can't bear it.when he cldnt bear it anylonger he opted fr mistresses outside.while i cherishe abstinence bfr marriage,i strongly advise U̶̲̥̅̊ find out abt sexual libido of ur partner,if U̶̲̥̅̊ r d type wit higher libido.one in one million frequency. |
fittty: Hell no!!!! My tenant had a fight with his wife and when everyone came to sort the issue out the man said if he had known, he wouldn't have married her cos she isn't good on bed.....its adolescents who are yet to realise that the thrills of sex fade with time and has to be worked up again...Sex is important in marriage but not the most important...Thats the price of a player who has tasted hundreds of girls coming to marry a virgin..If d only reason 4 marrying is sex, then sorry for you. |
You cant really predict who has got a mouth that wafts badly. And snugly installing yourself into the pew to concentrate and worship, the guy/girl or even ppl on both sides cheerfully greeted....and you suddenly held your breath! You looked around to see if you could relocate but alas! You think about enduring till d service does but....mehn.... |

Pdizzle: Although im a catholic, i read a lot of prostestant devotionals since we all serve the same God. On reading my open heavens this morning, i saw pastor Adeboye taking a jab at the catholics concerning the way they confess their sins to priests, saying penance does not grant you forgiveness. If Adeboye should enter a catholic church during confession where about 10000 faithfuls are preparing for the sacrament and he was given a chance to say this there,i tell you only about 5 ppl dia would be moved from going to that confessional...Why? Let him mind his biz and leave catholics alone. Its either he doesnt know anything about the Catholic Church or he's acting ignorant of the truth...AGAIN there's no need arguing wit protestants cos they's always protest.. |
Debbie.o:My dear,be it known to you that Catholics read the bible, maybe you were not reading it when you were catholic-did anyone tell not to read it then?did any priest tell you not to pray?were you told to commit sins? Just like you can see even in whateva church you are now, there are mediocres who are not serious wit what's going on...Wish you were able to see then.I wish you well, and make pure that you are not deceived where you are now.Pursue righteousness. |
Debbie.o:So you think that it was the lenght of your prayers that wiped away your sins?JESUS does, the absolution is simply an assurance of the mercy of God tru the intercession of the Church, which the priest represents-and CHRIST IS THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH-to whom you confess! I hope you are not still confused. |
honeric01: Who does the priest confess his own sins to?He confesses to another priest or to his bishop...Let me ask you, have you ever told your evil to any human being-male or female?have you eva gone for councelling where the pastor or whoeva probed you and you gladly divulged everything? |
I have seen a couple of them who regarded themselves as irresistible, who could get and always had the most beautiful/handsome guys/girls at will.Howeva I also noticed that many of them eventually pitched their tents with people far less "presentable" that all the flashy ones they were moving with before.Anyone in the house eva noticed the same? Why is this so? |
Battery.:What dont you understand-the story or the question? |
This is a silent but obvious truth played out by many Nigerian ladies who are well to do and also implied by many guys and elders .Many ladies who have good paying jobs and are able to afford certain good things of life sometimes suspend them until marriage because the men may begin to be afraid of approachin them for marriage....I dont know if you have eva noticed or even believe this..Do you think the fear is really founded and how can it be changed so that our ladies can be themselves and live their lives? |
Its such a scar watching your loved violated by robbers or whoever.Just heard such gory story now in my office and the victim looks dazed and lost.I'm just imagining wats going on in her mind and wat she may have to live wit all her life. Many women and even men are living with this scar but there seems to be little happening to check it as the incidence soars daily. Is there any law against this heinous crime and how far is it implemented? |
Some of our parents married by recommendation &their parents chose wives 4 them, and they are still living happily for decades. Some have even celebrated golden jubilee of married life...Some also married people that were introduced by friends. It works perfectly for some but not all...Nowadays guys choose for themselves;some survive, many crash explosively soon after take off..Is it still fashionable to marry by recommendation-WOULD U ALLOW YOUR PARENTS/FRIENDS to choose a spouse or recommend one for you? whats your take people.? |
Women in the UK and U.S are selling their bre@st milk online, despite serious concerns that it could be harmful for babies. Mothers can donate and receive breast milk for free via milk banks. These centres store bre@st milk for babies whose mothers can't bre@stfeed. However, they give priority to babies who are sick.SOURCE Women are selling their bre@st milk online and buyers are buying too. As this is happening in the Western countries now with the attendant problems, some of our people will soon begin to see it as the new ''swag'' for whatever reasons they may adduce. I am yet to understand fully why a healthy woman who has no bre@stfeeding or bre@st milk production impediment would choose this. So question to NLDers, would/can you buy bre@st milk. . .even from an approved bre@st bank to feed your baby? |
I though That Prof Barth Nnaji's firm,GEOMETRICS was bidding.?When did Abdusallam become or read about power distribution and management?I fear o...Any error in this privatisation of PHCN will further kill this country. |
Amazing what we think and how we hope to achieve them. in all these shows of unity,is there really any sincerity or we are just playing to the gallery? |
Early or late presentation is not the problem.Implementation is the issue. Many Nigerians dont believe all those stories called budget. |
They just want a guy who wont abuse them and most IMPORTANTLY,wont CHEAT on them. |
When we told her that the computers in the room have never been used by the students since after the accreditation, she said it was the Nigeria factor. What actually is this meaning of this phrase "NIGERIA FACTOR"? |
Truth is that i don't even understand what the guy meant in that video. Please what message was he trying to put across? Many who have watched it simply said it wasn't worth their time;others called it a wonderful work. American government says they are not in support of video but also that the video should not cause such violent reaction as it did. Video Title:''The innocence of Muslims'' Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBOtbfQRGbQ AND HERE IS AMERICA"S RESPONSE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJYNl0ePfZE&feature=relmfu |
![]() joeydozzy:PURE AND CONFIRMED.... |
I am having the notion that considering the state of the nation since independence,NIGERIA would have made much more progress all round by now if the colonial masters were PHYSICALLY PRESENT HERE to manage our affairs..There are real disadvantages though but I dont think it would have rivalled what we have on the ground now in this place called Nigeria.Whats your take people? Happy Independence day:-D;-( |
Parents, relations and friends usually recommended some girls for their loved ones based on some perceived character traits...and their marriages lasted for decades. Some never had any serious marital problems till they all died.Infidelity was also very rare then.Nowadays guys prefer to choose their spouses whom they believe they know better, and there seems to be more instability today, with many marriages crashing within months of take-off..Is it still fashionable or safe to marry on recommendation?Could it not be the solution to this confusion?. |
