That wasn't a joke back then neither is it now. "Eni f'oju ana wo'ku, ebora a bo laso". Get a Yoruba interpreter if you are not one yourself. Movies are exaggerated. Of course, not a denial of the fact that the Japs were like masters to the Chinese and Koreans back then and of course far above them in tech and innovation. However, the Japs now are no match to China's military might...the Japs know this. It's why they always cry to the US any time China issues a threat. |

Sometimes, I wonder if the Chinese, were in the shoes of the u.s interms of millitary might and ww2 nuclear weapons, the whole world for no dey again Don't you think you are being unfair to the Chinese? The US had threatened countries with nukes so many times. Unlike the US, the Chinese has never invaded anyone; never nuked anyone. The Chinese were erstwhile slaves to the Japs(at their prime). Now the Chinese are saying we don't want you meddling in our affairs... we're not your slaves anymore! It's a statement, the Japs should use their heads and mind their business. |

For una information, when Japan surrendered after second nuclear weapons was dropped, the u.s kept their third nuclear weapon they were planning to use if Japan refused to surrender on the museum since 1945. It's still there. The whole world wasn't even aware u s were making a bomb in Manhattan, till they were dropped. U.s no boast. They can just drop only that bomb or something worse, and end all these fake ass chinko. Russia can do nothing. It's always amusing to read how people see China and how far China has actually gone. Of course the idea is largely to deter the Japs and their allies...but you can never predict what a dictator is upto. But would the Japs actually risk the lives of their citizens for Taiwanese? Las las the Japs would rather mind their business. |

AkalaJ: Chief Sunday Igboho should have gone farther than anywhere in East or West Africa to travel out. All West African countries (in particular) are Nigerian lapdogs when it comes to this kind of situation. Being a German residency holder could have allowed him to travel from a North African country or used the Libya route. Nigeria government was really out to get him. He should have been more cautious. How is he supposed to get to the North African countries? That's the best he could do. He's a fugitive! If Nigeria weren't a joke he shouldn't have been able to travel interstate without being caught. |

Arresting Jacob Zuma was a wrong move... Zulus won't take it likely
PS; before you think riot and looting is exclusively a black man thing.... Remember Antifact, Black lives matter, Trump Republican supporters, EPL and European Football supporters,
. This is poorly thought. Yorubas are not irrational people...why would I or any Yoruba resort to violence because OBJ's arrested by the FG(regardless of who's in charge) if he's truly guilty of corruption in a court of law. Yorubas don't support nonsense. Says a lot about how you think. We should learn how to compartmentalize our emotions and sentiments. Did he share the loot with us while he was at it?? Geez! |

igbowoman: That is exactly what it is but 3rd world mentality will call it a crime. There are women pregnant with babies they don't want to keep and there are mothers to be who want those babies. Somewhere are men who impregnated those women. They may even be on nairaland running their mouths. There should be a way to do surrogacy legitimately like in developed countries without criminalizing it. The alternative is that the babies end up in pit latrines and rubbish dumps dead. As long as the government refuses to rise up to its responsibility and provide legitimate means where these pregnant mothers can be taken care of and babies legitimately adopted, this will continue and in other quarters babies will be found in dumpsters. Give us a break! Surrogacy doesn't work like that...not even close. Stop making people dumber here |

Saying I'm a barca fan and I don't just like ororo.
I told him it's not about football here. These guys are sponsoring the tournament.. Thereby paying you directly or indirectly...
And if you being such a big name take off their products it will send a wrong message to his fans and they may loose money.
But trust ororo boys, he started shouting barca fans and hate bla bla bla. Point is, he's making a statement. He's not going to love-vendor a product he doesn't use and has previously condemned... that's deceitful. These guys don't care about coca-cola, their wages will still be paid. A similar case is Naomi Osaka declining to attend press conferences after games; she knew she'll be fined but went on anyways! She's creating awareness about athletes mental health. Serena Williams had broken down many times during these press conferences where saucy journalist ask foolish questions not considering the athlete's state of mind. I'm sure Ronaldo won't be bothered if he gets fined! |

WoundedLamb: Exactly, our country our rules. It's not Buhari's country. So he shouldn't use us to get back at Twitter (if democracy is truly the style). Calling out Nnamdi now that Buhari's tweets were deleted is simply acknowledging that both Buhari and Nnamdi went so low. I don't know why Kanu wasn't banned. I don't know the rules of Twitter as I don't use the app. And if you read my post, you'd see I clearly stated it's not about whether Twitter was fair or not. It's more about the fact that Buhari to react by shutting out his own citizens from the platform because he felt hurt. Well, you're probably right. However, this probably isn't just about Buhari. The FG has been bottling up Twitter's 'trespasses' since Endsars. There's tension in the country ATM and the FG sees Twitter as a big threat. Especially going by the fact that Kanu's incendiaries manages to beat their algorithm undetected everytime. Trust me, at the end of the day, the president is responsible for the country first before the people. |
Politics › Re: When Will Twitter Ban Nnamdi Kanu's Hate Speeches? by Invitationn: 7:04am On Jun 05, 2021 |
WoundedLamb: Seriously, China? Dude, we are not in China. You cannot treat China's social media ban in isolation. If you're advocating the Chinese style of government, they you'd be prepared to embrace the totality of what comes with the absence of democracy. The Chinese government can ban any website without issues cause they never claimed to be democratic. As of 2019, the governments of China, Iran, North Korea, and Turkmenistan have blocked access to Twitter in those countries and nobody is saying anything cause they are not democratic nations. The deletion of Buhari's tweets is simply no justification for doing that in Nigeria except the government is telling us the style of government has changed.
In fact, I'm surprised you even mentioned democracy in your post cause nothing you said is remotely democratic, no disrespect intended. The president's tweets were deleted and the next line of action is to stop all his citizens from freely accessing the app even without their consent? And you still said "that is democracy"? Even in countries where social media is regulated, it's mostly to avoid crimes and hate speeches. How do you explain that your president banned the app in Nigeria simply cause his personal tweets were deleted?
What exactly is the oyibo way here? And what would then be the African way? Moderating other individuals while allowing certain class of people to post just anything? You guys complain about Nigeria, yet you're not willing to let go those things that make Nigeria a terrible place. Yes, you mustn't do everything like oyibo but sadly, it's thier platform and they have rules you must follow. And as far as that app is concerned, the creators are the gods and thier rules stand. You can leave thier platform if you feel unfairly treated or create yours if thier concepts don't appeal to you. Just don't expect special treatments. And whatever you do, you don't drag the entire nation into it. Their platform; their rules. Our country; our rules...don't you think it's only fair? Special treatment was what this post by the OP is all about. Atleast, Facebook banned NK a couple of times for is incendiaries. Twitter has never even taken down his post. |

He is deposited with the power to portray a balance. I am Igbo I am not ipob, why should I be receiving threats bcus of ipob. So why hasn't he threatened the Ne for all the unmeasurable atrocities that Boko Haram and bandits have carried out??. Apc will be the downfall of this country. You sound objective. But then, the president did not threaten all Igbos. He threatened the violent secessionists attacking security formations. So threatening the NE as a match is no match. |
