you don't see anything wrong with BORN AGAIN Christians using the dance steps invented by smokers, heavy drinkers and club hawkers in the HOUSE of GOD ??
Truth is, if they don't dance these steps in church, they do it @ a club or somewhere else. Putting in their energies to worshipping God isn't a bad idea @ all. Ever heard of Christian rap? Is that bad too? |
GEJs kids school in Nigeria. Same goes for Fashola and a couple other govs. A lot of these guys use local schls than we think. |
Brains make beta wives. You don't want a wife that can't contribute intellectually to plans for the kids, family etc. |
boron10: I'll go for both o, haba, i do not need a lady who is too intelligent neither do i need one who is too beautiful cos they both have their 'shadow objectives'. I'll rather go for a babe who is of average intelligence and beauty. Say a babe with IQ of 125. Yeah, i don't need a geniusA chick wiv a 125IQ is a near genius in Naija setting. |
Great. We definitely need more enterpreneurs. |
ItsModella: Nah, Port Harcourt zoo is way better than that Ogba zoo. That has to be the worst zoo in the country. Port Harcourt zoo had a few interesting animals but Ogba was a complete write-off. The only animal I saw was a tortoise.Ogba zoo had two lions, wild dogs, some snakes, chimpanzees and sum oda monkeys the last time i was there in 2010. |
We just need to ease off on giving birth to the soo many children. Minus corruption and all that, one of our problems is the age demographic of Nigeria puts youths and children @ more than 70% in population. Would love to see what other country has similar figures and compare that to their unemployment rates. |
Hi Lancier, What's the premium rate on ur GIT? Saying covering 10million. |
chucky234: Guy na where you from get that calculation, which destination in 10 days? You know where Maiduguri dey,you no even talj of four months you dey call 10 days,I laff your face.Stop being so quick to comment. If you read my text clearly its stated that its rougHly 800km frm Lag to Abj and I used a lot of if's to express my point that if he could trek 80km per day he sud be in Abj in 10 days. I personally don't know if he can trek 80km in a day as that's his to find out. BTW, Lagos to Maiduguri is ~ 1600km. |
chucky234: You never find Lagos to Benin map na Kaduna map you dey find, shey the guy wan fly enter Kaduna from Lagos.Google Maps can be used. |
My brother the replacement theology is indeed complex. I think we can both agree that Isreal isn't towing the part that God set for it. Not by killing/enslaving innocents. And even preventing them frm getting Aid. See how they murdered the crew of that Turkish boat going to deliver supplies to Gaza some years ago. Whether the new convenant in christ replaces the mosaic covenant or not, it is my own opinion that the Isreal of today isn't what God had in mind whether in territory or in their behavior of bullying their neighbors. |
Good thing you are trying to do something different. Here's my advice for you. 1. DON'T go to Maiduguri. Stop @ Kaduna like u said. 2. The most important part of your trek is your health. Your going to want to keep your energy levels up as well as prevent dehydration by taking enough water along. 2b. Prepare your tummy by eating only very light foods for a few weeks before you commence the trek.Heavy foods would weigh u down. 3. Get a Journey map. Prepare potention sleep sites and know if you'll be sleeping by the road syd or @ a hotel. 4. Know your Average Walking distance. Push yourself to the limits by walking round Lagos, and knowing how much time it takes you to trek from A to B - an equivalent of 20km for example. This way if Lagos to Abuja covers a distance of say 800km, and you can trek 80km in a day(12hrs, 6am-6pm), then I suppose you should be @ your destination in 10 days. 5. Make sure you don't trek alone. Have some medical personnel with you. Or someone who knows First Aid. Also take Glucose D along. 6. Be mentally prepared. You must be ready for the sufferhead you would face on the trip. Prepare yourself. 7. Get a GPS device. A portable one so u know exactly where you are @ any given point in tym. 8. Try to create more awareness and sponsorship. Talk to a professional photographer if they can cover you, talk to Linda Ikeji about online promotion, talk to companies for sponsorship opportunities. Talk to the Ministry of Tourism. Basically talk, talk, talk till you have more than one sponsor. Ideally you want to have a sponsor cover: road expenses, publicity, health, food and drinks. One sponsor per category. See that Redbull is just under Foods and Drinks left to me. My 2 cents. |
The solution I think is to open up a level playing field for both Isreal and the rest countries in the Middle East. Isreal should allow Palestine become a UN recognized country or even a self-ruling territory like the vatican or monaco or taiwan. There's no rule book that says Isreal and Palestine can't co-exist. Only if one party tries to bully the other would there be issues. Isreal should also return Sinai, and the West Bank to their respective owners and stop using them as buffer zones against an invasion. They should finally stop building settlements in these territories and obey UN guidelines in this regard. |
donedy: So, what's your own stance on the issue?I think Iran has always denied building a Nuclear Weapon and they should be given the benefit of the doubt. The world Nuclear Iran thingy is being overpoliticized left to me alone. Politically and Economically, Iran is a lot more stable than Pakistan and North Korea (two countries with nuclear capabilities, so what's the fuss). Iran would never go bombing Isreal even if it finally develops a Nuclear bomb because it knows the entire country called Iran would be whipped off the earth in hours. Their getting a nuclear weapon would rada serve for political posturing and to advance their influence in the Middle East. Now, here's the main reason why the US doesn't want a Nuclear Iran. Cause it'll be the precedent to a Nuclear Arms race in the middle east. Saudi Arabia is 100% sure to go afta Nuclear tech once its confirmed that Iran has. Same goes for Qatar, Kuwait and even Iraq. The whole thing is really complicated. But I think the world should allow Iran develop Nuclear power, if they end up with a weapon, treat them like North Korea by cutting them off (which they've wrongly done pre-emptively). With all the sanctions in place, if Iran still goes on to get a Nuclear weapon, Isreal and the West would just have to Shut up and buckle up as there'd be little they can say to manipulate Iran into toeing their part. |
Sammy79: I have followed this thread with keen interest and would like to just lend my thoughts, and these completely negates those with the view that this is not a religious/political battle. It' is a battle that has roots in ancient history of Arabs versus the Zionist. Why do you think the biblical Isreal is same as Isreal of today if todays Isreal was only created in 1948. 2. Isreal in the bible was used to represent the people of God more or less like the word Gentiles were used to represent the unGodly. To my own new understanding, Isrealite today includes U and I and everyone else who is a Christian, not just the jewish nation cause those ones have strayed far from God teh teh considering the atrocities they commit everyday. |
I find it hard to believe that the Isreal of today remains the same that the Bible talks about. Going back to history on what caused the rift between the Arab world and the West. You'd find out that Isreal was created out of a remant of the Ottoman Empire that was basically unclaimed territory (claimed by the palestinans but unassigned to anybody). The West then goes on to assign a huge portion of this land to a new state called Isreal so all the jews being persecuted around the world can have a place to call home. What then happens to the Palestinans? The Middle East has always viewed this as ojoro and hence their dislike for Isreal. Another quick point is that for those who don't knw, Iran and US/Britain were allies with Iran until the 70”s. Infact the West was largely behind the Islamic revolution that led to the first Ayatollah bin installed. The problem is that these Ayatollah were never popular with the Iranian people so they hated the US for installing a US friendly dictator on them. The number problem with Isreal and the West as a whole with regards to their treatment of the Middle East is that of pride. The US has refused to apologise till date for the iranian passenger plane it errorneously shot down in the 70's. For the hundreds of illegal detentions during the wars in Iraq, Afganistan. The Isreal has refused to let go of seized territories it gained during the 6 day war and has even gone onto build settlements in these territories. It has actively blocked supplies from reaching the people of the West Bank, Sinai and Gaza as well as prevented its people from actively particiting in trade and politics. How would you feel? I've tried to lay down as many facts as I cud type frm my phone. Edit: The Ayatollahs came as a result of the revolution. They drove away a US/West backed dictator. And the people of Iran have hated the west ever since. |
From my experience, the bus drivers don't make a loss when carrying police or army personnel. The reason is bcause the end up not paying bus loading fees, and the other monies @ illegal checkpoints. On some routes, its even more lucrative to carry an officer in the front seat. |
For the education of the quack intellectuals on this thread, I submit an excerp from our constitution; Chapter IV Fundamental Rights 41. (1) Every citizen of Nigeria is entitled to move freely throughout Nigeria and to reside in any part thereof, and no citizen of Nigeria shall be expelled from Nigeria or refused entry thereby or exit therefrom. If the herdsmen are yet to commit any crime, no one has the right to restrict their free movement throughout Nigeria.
Stop bin silly. Did you see cow mentioned in the constitution? Fulani can come freely to Ogun state but that strips them off the title herdsmen right? Every governing entity owns the right to protect its citizens. Fulani + cow = BaNned from Ogun state Fulani - cow = Not banned. You don't mean to say the cows are also fulani do you? |
Few reasons why it would be difficult to implement: A) Goes directly against FGs plans for 24hr port operations. More congestion, less containers flowing out daily, less revenue coming in daily. B) No designated parking spaces for trucks along our express roads. C) Roads are in terrible shape. No street lighting and bad security. If trucks are to move @ night, then cars dare not move during the night or face losing their lives. D) Increased road accidents. Due to the bad roads. Less time for Lastma/emergency crews to rescue or clear up debris as they won't work @ night. E) Companies would be forced to commence night-time offloading meaning additional costs for keeping staff on overtym. Not to talk of the security implications. Ideally, a container should NEVER fall off a truck. There are 4 hooks and they re basically fool proof. 2) 90% of truck accidents that are not as a result of reckless driving comes from bad roads. Trucks have slower response times and lesser manuvaurebility on the road. If there's a ditch in front, you either see it and avoid it in time or the truck goes right in. Solution: have all trucks do an MOT for roadworthiniess. Bann all trucks beyond 30yrs. Those crazy Fiats especially sud be kicked off and crushed. |
1forall: You, my friend, need to return to the zoo you came fromTo an extent, he's statements are true. We have more new car users, and homeowners than we have in the past two decades. There's also more smaLl businesses bin set up. Our problem is that the level of unemployment created by decades of rot won't be wiped off by a few years of things getting better. We need steady development to achieve desired growth as a nation. |
I do know they instigate the politicians to seek endless cases @ the tribunals. They also help them avoid the law and delay justice by seeking medical leave, etc etc for our corrupt folks. |
gsalvatore: my broda! UAV are not locally made-do u know the meaning of UAV(unmanned ariel vehicle). Naija no get dis one-sorry to burst ur Amebo bubble,Just Googled, here's the pic of our locally made UAV - the Amebo I. Looks nothing like the UAVs developed by the US and Isreal so I'd say its pretty genuine.
What jets are they planning to use for this purpose? How many OPERATIONAL fighter jets/interceptors do they have at hand?
With my liTtle knowledge, interceptors and fighter jets in general are never used for ground survellance which is the aim of this mission I believe. To give the Nigeria Customs Service some eyes in the air on illegal smuggling routes and stuff. Besides, fighter jets move too fast to see anything on the ground. |
msb247: Something like that. There are other governors that are doing far better than he's doing!Have u bin to Jigawa state b4? U'd be amazed by what he's accomplished wiv the little money they re getting. |
manosteel: I don't know much about this Lamido, is he one of the best performing Governors? Or was he picked because of his loyalty to Obj?He's one of the best IMO. Roads, education, ICT, rural electrification, he's touched all these. |
8ogoegbunam: I believe I was manipulated into marriage . Everyone has basic beliefs in marriages. Am not apolegetic about mine.while I kept my promise to my wife to wed her inYou were not manipulated, you were caught bin a mugu. So during the dating period, it never occured to u to invite over for service @ ur church? How long did you guys date? Is she older than you? Cause I suspect she is hence her stubborness over this. In anycase, try doing things the hard way but be delicate abt it. Talk to her abt it once more, tell her you'd really like her or u guiys to attend the same church togeda as a couple. Maybe u sud skip one or two of her dishes (dat is if she even cooks for u) and watch her reaction. Talk to her parents abt it if u guis are close. This smells like one chance bro. U sudnt have rushed into marriage. |
JTF who never kill innocent people intentionally. These guys re using intelligence networks to map out the terrorist chains within damaturu and maiduguri. Its terrorists, their friends and supporters that are being killed in the cross fires. When you shield a terrorist in ur home, you become a terrorist urself. This is the principle the JTF is using. Apparently, the elders re nt happy that the Boko Haram menace is slowly bin eroded. After killing the foot soldiers, next would be the middlemen, and the their leaders/sponsors. |
No street light o. And every body for the area nor dey on outside or compound light again o.
Oga, remove those 200watt bulbs and have them replaced with White (flourescent) bulbs then come and testify. All bulbs in ur home shouldn't exceed 100 watts for d outsyd and 60watts for d inside. If you decide using white bulbs de re usually around 20-40watts or so which means more savings fr u. |
Most of these banks are not ready to serve anybody. When they sack them, they'd complain. I personally think Stanbic, zenith, gtb are the good banks. Got my stanbic cheque book in 2 weeks plus ATM, opening fees etc cost less than 4k. The fact that they have fewer customers than the average naija bank i fink makes dem give more attention to the little ones they do have. Acess bank is just a complete disgrace. De sud just fold up already. Haven't gotten my atm card after 6 weeks and seizing my 1.2k or so. Bin dere repeatedly wiv d same its not ready story. I make cash deposits and it takes 3-6hrs to reflect. Only recently had to go to d bank and have dem send an email to d oda access branch wher i deposited b4 dat deposit reflected. Thankfully afta the email was sent, the money was credited into my ac. |
