Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has said his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, is angry with him because of his nickname “Mr. Project.”

Wike made the remark while reacting to statement by Amaechi, who criticized the title “Mr. Project” ascribed to him.

Speaking in Port Harcourt, the state capital, on Monday, the governor described Amaechi’s alleged criticism on projects and programmes across the state as unfortunate, saying, “It is unfortunate that someone who was celebrating his 52nd birthday would tell Rivers people what is not correct.”

He pointed out that it was wrong for Amaechi to compare his eight years as governor to the two years he has spent so far.


The governor also charged Amaechi to allow those aspiring to be governor in the state to express themselves because he, Amaechi, could not be governor again.

Wike noted that his administration had remained focused and would continue to deliver projects that would improve the living condition of the people.

He said, “His (Amaechi) anger is that I have been given the name, Mr. Project. I came to serve the people. You are comparing your eight years with my two years.

“Anybody aspiring to be governor should be allowed to tell Rivers people what he wants to do. You (Amaechi) cannot be governor again.”

Please, Amaechi didnt sack LGA Chairmen, rather he sacked APC leaders in different LGA.

Remember they are not elected but appointed by the party

Cos that's the main problem with Nigeria. The guy is absolutely right. Local govt are supposed to be able to elect there own officials and create there own laws. No wonder this country does not work.

13. Praying at MIDNIGHT is a sacrifice that will not go unrewarded. God sees our desperation through the sacrifices we make to Him.

It is my prayer that the Lord will help us to understand that when we are asleep, Satan and his demons aren’t asleep but they are busy launching arrows at us,
May the Lord help us to understand that there are serious activities that takes place at MIDNIGHT much of which are against us as Christians.

May the Lord deliver us from spiritual laziness so that we can rise up to defend our inheritance and to take back what the devil has stolen from us.

you people don't even know what is happening, Amaechi and Wike are working together to keep ikwere in power for long , I was once told my a senior politician that Amaechi will never give ticket to a strong contender that I capable of wrestling power away from wike and he knows that magnus Abe is the only APC member that is capable of mounting a serious challenge.
