Romance / Re: Photo: If She Ask What This Is Used For, Cancel The Wedding by ireke(m): 9:48am On Jan 24, 2016
I can't cancel the wedding for this reason o. Na only food we go chop? There are alternative arrangements that can make up for deficient culinary skills. However, if she says she doesn't know what a condom is used for....... then na wahala. I'm not saying she must have used it but at least she suppose know. Otherwise, her naivety no go get part 2. And there are not many godly alternatives for deficient bedroom skills.

My point is that funny enough, I'll pick the girl that doesn't know what a pestle and mortar is used for ahead of a babe that will tell me she doesn't know what a condom is used for.

Nice try @OP. At least you got some attention. Don't listen to naysayers in life. Let's know the outcome of your mail to nyanfunyanfu. Also follow up on the link provided by dazzi. Please let's know how it goes.

Raayah's response is not totally out of place. She's just blunt. So I ask you again. What happens to your family if you get the school fees and can not do business to raise money to support your family. I'm really concerned about that.

All the best.
Politics / Re: 2016 Budget Is A Big Fraud - PDP by ireke(m): 10:00pm On Dec 22, 2015
APCLyingBastard:
Crude is projected to crash as low as $20.

How will they fund this deficit reckless budget?

I don't know if someone had time to reply you but from my simple understanding of the budget, oil revenue is 820 Billion naira out of total projected revenue of 3.86 trillion naira. That is about 21.2% of the anticipated revenue. Therefore oil price shortfalls will have a direct effect on that part of the revenue. They'll be short by maximum of 388 billion naira (considering that the oil price will not fall to $20 on January 1 and stay there till december 31). Of course we can't rule out indirect effects but the outlook is not as bad as if they had focused on oil as the major source of the projected revenue. They are already planning to borrow >2 trillion naira so the shortfall may easily find its way into the borrowing too.

PS: I'm not interested in GEJ/PMB politricking. They are all the same to a large extent.

In a real world, people like the driver and their employer will be charged with recklessly endangering other people's lives. They will be made to pay for damages to lives and property (public & private) as applicable. Their insurers will sweat and their financial bottom line will feel the heat.

This is one of the reasons I'm still considering reading law.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Its Either You Are On First Class Or 2:1.... by ireke(m): 11:11am On Oct 25, 2015
Jagabanthelion:
Enough of this 2.2 rubbish. If uve got a 2.2 and u are not confident enough of yourself, then go into your room, lock yourself up and cry at least 5hours per day till u regain your confidence. A firm denied u an opportunity because of your grade, dat now means everybody with d same grade shd join u and cry? Do u know how many 2.2s I know are gainfully employed and doing well, driving jeeps, without using connections to get the job? I also know many 2.1s tired of staying at home jobless. I know some big companies who only ask for your certificate after handing u their offer letter. They just document it. Notore Petrochemicals is an example. I will advise u to takeout the 2.2grade from your CV,so that u can bypass those coys who disqualify people at d sight of 2.2. Just put "Second class honours" its enough. If u are called for test,go there n prove your mettle. Apart frm Shell,Chevron,(d very top players),bakerhughes, halliburton etc and some Dragnet organised tests that insist on 2.1,most coys accept 2.2,provided u do well in their tests n interviews. Start small, get d experience n apply for any experienced position with your 2.2,n get to see yourself at d top. Its just time that distinguishes grades. Experienced jobs don't ask for 2.1 or 2.2,research it yourself. Get over d stigma u have placed on yourself and get busy. Apply for all jobs,in your field and let the company decide if u are eligible or not. Dnt disqualify yourself by yourself. Its not your duty, but that of the company. Peace.

Good responses @ Jangabanthelion & Fried plantain (though I didn't quote you).

I had a 2.2 but I think I can look back and say I have tried for myself. These are some of the things I did and I'm not saying it will work same way for everybody but hey say LUCK is when OPPORTUNITY meets PREPAREDNESS.

1. I prepared hard for aptitude tests - I actually started preparing during my youth service even before I started applying for jobs.
2. I added a higher degree - Luckily, I got a job not too long after my service. I had started a masters degree but had to abandon it since I had to change location. I started another masters program in an area that is in my list of future interests and completed it.
3. I am still developing myself - 19 years after graduation but I'm still reading. one additional MSc (making 2) a couple of Certificates/diplomas (not two weeks classes o) with serious demanding online learning contents.

One last thing is that I never really felt comfortable with myself. I could afford not to bother about 2 and 3 above because my first salary (per month o) was more than what either of my parents got as gratuity payment (roughly 3 years' salary) after serving government for >30 years. However, it was not enough to make me forget myself. That salary has grown in exponentials but I'm still improving myself.

Again, maybe that's my own way of keeping myself happy so it may not apply to everyone.

I blame her totally. However, I saw a nugget in the write up that I will share with all the ladies around me......

do not love a man too much and forget that you are special too."

The converse is also true. Some men pursue love so much that they forget they have any value.
Health / Re: Lagos Hospital Chains Woman To Urinal Pipe Over Unpaid Bills by ireke(m): 7:06am On Sep 21, 2015
Even though this is a one sided story, I only see callousness on the side of the woman and the husband. Many questions came to my mind from reading this story....

How come we did not see the woman tied to the Urinal pipe, or chain marks on the hand that was tied to the urinal?
Did the hospital management release her to take this picture or she has always looked like this even before the incident?

If the man is saying nobody discussed fees with them, How come we did not read that they offered the hospital a token sum that they thought would cover the treatment? Or is he saying he thought CS in a private hospital would be free?

Some people just like to play the "rich oppressing the poor" card too much. poverty is not an excuse for stupidity.

A room with AC is good enough.

Celebrities / Re: Caroline Danjuma Stores Her Perfumes In A Refrigerator (Photo) by ireke(m): 3:50pm On Sep 11, 2015
Storing perfumes in the fridge That is a combination of poverty and ignorance.

Do perfume retailers keep their stock in the fridge? NO. They only provide a cool environment, which I think a multi billionaire's wife should be able to afford.

An average dude that can not afford an excellent air conditioned cooling (supported by uninterrupted power supply) can use a 30k - 100k fridge and start show casing it. But the wife of a multi billionaire I beg to differ biko.

I don't know anything about her creams but perfumes shouldn't be in the fridge in a very rich man's house.

I'll rather not get married than begin to plan how to hurt the woman I'm supposed to protect. If my Wife-to-be is exposing herself to this kind of temptation and is not remorseful, then I'll rather not get yoked with such a fellow

I hope that the Nigeria Factories Act will be enforced by the government one day. I wish an NGO (akin to GREENPEACE and their efforts on the Environment) would arise in Nigeria and focus on protecting the health and safety of Nigerian Factory workers. We have the laws but they are never enforced.

RIP to the deceased.
Family / Re: My Husband Is My Boyfriend On Facebook, Whatsapp & Bbm And He Does Not Know It by ireke(m): 12:56pm On Jun 24, 2015
It is not enough to have befriended your husband on social media and be boasting about it if you have not used it to your advantage in a positive and creative way.

here are some suggestions - the man is close to you now so
1. Ask him about his fantasies. If he can befriend strangers on the internet, he may be willing to talk about his sexual fantasies with you. Use this information to assist you in pleasuring him at home.
2. Ask him about the issues with his wife. He may tell you (his online girl friend) some lies about you (his wife at home) but, guess what, he may also tell you things that are really truly pissing him off. You are in a good position to know the truth so use the information accordingly i.e. make changes where necessary. Try to let him know you are making efforts to correct those things. (not in a desperate way though)

PS.
I really don't believe the story because not many men would be free with a lady whose face they have not seen. However, if anyone could pull this off by any means, I think she should take optimum advantage of the situation.

This is what happens when guys are trying to pose for babes. The OP should have had this discussion with the babe if he was that bothered about it. However, I think She did the right thing by asking for the same thing as you. It may have been an issue if she ordered something that costs twice as much as your own food. Anyway, to each his own.

Ideally, the church must be licensed by law to conduct marriage ceremonies and issue certificates. Therefore, if you received a wedding certificate from a duly licensed church (and minister), then you are as covered as the folks that did a "court wedding".

Nairaland / General / Re: Cleaner Gets N7,200 Salary Increment For Returning N12 Million by ireke(m): 8:43am On Mar 18, 2015
Brugo:
Some of you saying that you would not have returned the money are funny. How would a cleaner like her explain sudden wealth to her friends and family? Eventually the police would find out and it would be terrible.
The owner of that 12 million cash would not mind spending 2 million to track down the thief. We know what our policemen can do with 2 million as incentive. They would sniff her out.
She got almost 50% increase in salary. That is something. In addition, she is now famous. As much as the salary looks paltry, we should consider her job description too. The company she works for rewarded her with a promotion that they didn't prepare for. The owner of the money may have not even paid them a dime in appreciation but they went ahead to do that.
The airport authority that is swimming in scandals and controversy could have used this opportunity to part with some money that would have been embezzled anyway. A one-time reward could transform her life.
Life is not fair sometimes. I'm sure her colleagues will not act honorably like she did because there is apparently little reward.

Good post.

Honesty is a choice.

Showing gratitude is also a choice.

Real honesty in this situation is returning the money even if it is not guaranteed that the owner would "show appreciation". I hope the owner helped her sha.

Romance / Re: Guys Judge This!!!! Intersting!!! by ireke(m): 3:46pm On Mar 04, 2015
1. you must be a real bad guy to be able to r.ape a virgin when you yourself are a virgin. You think say sex na play?
2. what's your point about loving her for being a virgin? is that the only thing valuable about her? if your answer is yes, then she's not worth the trouble. She will lose it someday anyway. What happens after you take the virginity? Will you love her less? if care is not taken na men like dey wait for a girl's virginity only for her to come and tell you about how she was raped by 3 guys after being touched by a ring.
3. Don't take r.ape lightly o. it takes a lot to clear your conscience (if you have one) if you r.ape someone you really love. it will haunt you for a long time.
4. Be a man. Let her know how much you appreciate her (Virgin or not) and let her know how her attitude is affecting you. It is always very important to let our friends know that we love them for who they are, but that we will not hesitate to pull out of the relationship if there's no mutual respect for each other's feelings.

I don't have time but I hope I managed to communicate with my quick thoughts above.

PS - I married a virgin and I appreciate her for it so I am not saying that being a virgin is worthless. However, there's more to a woman than being a virgin.

1. the special skills you need to use when opening drinks so that the cork can be as unscathed as possible.
2. It's a free kick When you hit an opponent's player and it falls and lies on its back
3. It's a foul if your player covers the ball (completely).
4 it's a penalty if player in #2 falls into box 18 or if #3 happens inside box 18.
