hardbody: Let us get it straight, I am supposed to read all of these? Rethink and repostBros Nothing do you. I hope you are pretty satisfied with your life as it is. I also hope you won't complain when people that sacrifice to improve themselves are reaping the rewards. I just wonder how people expect to gain knowledge when they won't read. if na romance and s.exual stories there will little or no complain about the length. Yab me if you think I deserve it o. but I read the lengthy article and numerous "useless" pieces of information that i have garnered from years of active reading has helped me in almost all aspects of my life. @ OP, it's funny how people don't read. I remember I dropped a friend in my final year in the university not because he said that he had not read any other book apart from his school books, but he did not see any need for reading any motivational book because he believed he was good enough. Afterall the books were written by men like himself. I dropped him like hot stone because I knew I had a long way to go and I needed to learn from so many sources. |
Block her number if your phone has the capability to block numbers. If she calls you with another umber then you can be sure there's more to it than a simple mix up. |
Na lie...... BIIIIG lie. If it was true, you would not come back here to diss the man since you know he already knows your user ID. Go look for attention elsewhere |
SMH... I wonder what people know about people they want to marry. How can you propose to marry a woman when you don't even know her age. What did you kow about her then? Everybody wants a good marriage but we hardly do the works or lay the foundation for one. |
My take on this is that I beat to correct my children not to vent my anger on them. I don't want to hurt them physically or psychologically in the name of beating them, so my beating is usually done with my dunlop bathroom slippers when they were smaller. That ensures that they are not injured, and it also helps me to manage my anger. Now I have a proper cane and they are all aware of what it means to be "counselled by my friend" that lives in my room and they don't like going that route. I thank my parents for beating me when I was younger, we are all happier for it today. However, I think I got some beatings that were done simply to massage their anger and I am trying as much as possible not to do that to my children. |
ayodele123: Outdated business!why do you think it's an outdated business? The market may be shrinking but that does not totally remove the need. |
Ceeno E vu: where in Nigeria do you need the service?I'm looking at Lagos |
Please do you have any info about carpet and upholstery cleaning IN NIGERIA? What is the cost per square meter(for carpets) or per piece (for Upholstery) and what method is being used? Are there other associated charges? What is the cost of applying carpet or fabric protector? What is the cost for spot or odour removal? etc. Any related information will be highly appreciated. Thanks. |

Stagger, please are you still available for consultation? I'm thinking about a small LPG (about 5,000Kg capacity) refill point and I really would love to ask tons of questions before moving forward. I don't mind paying for consultation. |
stagger:Stagger when do you plan to publish your findings? By the way, are you still available for consultation? I'm thinking about a small LPG (about 5,000Kg capacity) and I really would love to ask tons of questions before moving forward. I don't mind paying for consultation. |
Ijogz K, 4% of the graduating class of Unilag had 1st class. what was the percentage of those that had first class in Covenant? I'm not averse to people getting good grades but I just think your comparison is skewed if you do not introduce the concept of percentages. |
Haba edo girl. What this guy has done is one of the beauties of the law profession. He did not say he did not or will not submit to the judgement, he only shared his perspectives on the facts that are available. He has not done anything wrong. This could have happened anywhere in the world. Why do you think judges spend hours to read judgements instead of just cutting the chase down to guilty or not guilty? They are doing the same thing that Keyamo just did - sharing their perspectives. This will allow people to understand where they are coming from anfd how they arrived at their verdict and/or judgement. |
Why don't you people just leave the "dimwits" to their thread. I believe there are other threads where you can express your animosity to their "dimwittism". |
Open a joint account. transfer what you want to save into that account leave instruction that you can sign (alone) to collect money but she can not collect money (above 20K for example) without both signature. That way, you can save money for the wedding and she can still have some access to the account. You will know immediately if she collects money and did not use it for the intended purpose. over time, she will have the opportunity to demostrate that she can be trusted. |

I "stole" this from someone's facebook posting. I may not agree with all the points listed but if they could put their hands on these and, in addition, give us power (electricity), make our refineries work, and discourage politicians that desire to serve because of their pockets, then we will protest less about the subsidy removal. Ten Places President Jonathan Can Get His N479 Billion - Rudolf Ogoo Okonkwo 1.) Go to the last 36 governors that served with Olusegun Obasanjo. Offer them immunity from prosecution if they all return N10 billion naira each. After all, most of them were facing charges totaling over N100 billion before their files disappeared from the EFCC. That will give President Jonathan N360 billion naira overnight. 2.) Get all former Director-Generals of the NNPC in the last 20 years. Offer them immunity from prosecution if they all return N1billion for every year they were director. Having been part of an agency of the government that does not know how much oil the multinational corporations are sucking up each day and cannot account for the crude oil dedicated for domestic consumption, they should each give the government N1 billion and we let bygone be bygone. This will give Jonathan at least N20 billion. 3.) President Jonathan should cancel all import waivers given to religious leaders in Nigeria for 2012. Nigeria lost billions of naira just on the waivers given to Pastor Adeboye and his likes under the Obasanjo administration - waivers they used to import expensive cars and luxury goods. Who knows what the big Imams get in waivers? Right there, another N10-50 billion will be readily available. 4.) A 50% cut in the salaries and allowances of members of the Nigerian House of Representative. At $1.4 million each for 360 members, Jonathan can easily get $252 million dollars, which is over N40 billion. 5.) In the senate, with 109 senators each making $1.7 million, a 50% cut in their pay package will give President Jonathan over N14.8 billion naira.7 6.) President Jonathan should audit the record books of the government with oil importers. A good auditing firm will easily unearth stolen wealth of the nation. Since these so-called cabals are friends of the president, some of them members of his economic team, the president should just ask them to refund N200 billion and we will let bygones be bygone. 7.) The president should, as a matter of urgency, investigate and evaluate all workers associated with the importation of fuel into Nigeria. Those found wanting should be prosecuted and fired. A good investigation of their assets and accounts will recover at least N1billion. 8.) The same thing should be done with staff of the NNPC, both those serving and the retired staff. A good investigation will net over N10 billion. 9.) The security votes of all state governors should be cut by 50%. At an average of N300 million a month, it runs up to N3.6 billion for a year each. For the 36 state governors, that amount is N129.6 billion naira. A 50% cut will give President Jonathan N64.8 billion a year. 10.) The president should close half of Nigerian missions abroad in a major scale back and find other countries to manage Nigeria’s affairs. That will save at least N10 billion. Putting the savings together, we have N745.6 billion for the President. That is before he touches his food money and his security vote. That is before he touches Olusegun Obasanjo, Abubakar Atiku, Turai Yar’Adua and the heads of all the failed banks. So next time they tell you that there is no alternative to the immediate removal of the subsidy, tell them it is a lie. There is an alternative to killing unarmed protesters over mere N479 billion naira that Aliko Dangote can close his eyes and donate to his friend, President Jonathan. After all, the Nigerian state has been good to him over the years. |
In my opinion, I think this attempt to remove the subsidy has been a blessing. It has shown us that we can fight. They have always viewed us (nigerians) as set of docile people. Hopefully, when this is all over, we will get on the street again to ask for a Nigeria where there are no full time senators and reps earning 29M naira per month but part time legislators that have something reasonable to contribute, and that will not earn more than 50M naira in a year. That is the only hope for us to have serious minded legislators. Right now, all we have are thieves. Ex-Governor Senator, Ex-Senator Governor. |
The guy is smart and brilliant but he deflects when it's convenient. |
I hope this will work as designed. Wire transfers and online transactions will not be the problem. The main challenge will be business outlets that will not take paymens of tens of thousands and yet will not be equipped to process card payments. I have been in so many business outlets where you will expect to be able to use your card to pay and they will give you all sorts of excuses why they can only take cash. The annoying ones are those that will display that you can pay with your verve, Interswitch, orisirisi card, only to tell you after your transaction that their system is faulty and you must pay cash. The establishment that takes the cup is Cash and Carry in VI where they insisted on charging me an extra amount if I want to pay with my card. |
@ Seun - Thanks for the clarification jare. Most people don't know the difference between bribery and extortion. However, I still doff my hat to some folks that would not even succumb to extortion. I try to stand against extortion once in a while but I try to be sure that I am safe (from police and the consequence of the refusal) while doing that. I have been extorted severally and I think looking back, I have given a few bribes too. I just did one yesterday. I had to take a short cut via an estate to avoid the traffic at the toll gate and the well known alternative to the toll point. SO I had to dash one gateman some bucks to allow me enter a road that reduced my journey by more than 30 minutes. I have never recieved a bribe and I don't see myself receiving one ordinarily. May God not allow me to see the temptation o. Bribery has no justification. |
There is no alternative road on Lekki Epe Expressway. What we currently have is an alternative to the Toll point. and it creates nothing but bottleneck on the narrow road being touted as the alternative for the size of traffic being sent to it. I had to drop my wife in the office this morning and I could only thank God I envisaged the bottleneck that will exist on the road and factored it into my journey plan. I had enough time to run back from the alternative route because it was already getting clogged even before the Oniru Market junction. By the time I was returning, the back up from the toll gate had almost extended all the way to the second round about at Marwa Junction. God will surely punish those that are bringing so much hardship on us. They will not have more than money. |
dagboss:With all due respect sir - 1. Like you rightly said, the road was BUILT. 2. there has always been an alternative route to Lagos from Ibadan. It is just longer. There is no reasonable alternative to the EXPANDED road. 3. I will appreciate if you quote anywhere in the world where you have to pay so much toll within a 13Km stretch of road. 4. Finally compare the earning power of the masses to the toll being proposed for this road. Again let me know if this obtains anywhere in the world. Just my thoughts sir. |
