In order to reduce the level of poverty amongst homes, in my opinion I think a man who has not enough money to buy a house of his own not rent at least a 3 bed room flat and a car to move him and his family around should not get married.

When he gets married in his low credit, the family tends to suffer. The probability that he will get rich is actually 0.5 not up to 1 because Sundry expenses will now become expenses when married. Things he could ignore when single will now be important.

When children arrive, the probability of getting rich falls to an all time low of 0.2. Have you observed that most men have a higher credit score when single? If you have $500 at the end of every week when single if your job/income doesn't change or upgrade when you get married your $500 falls to $200 because you no longer feed yourself but feed a woman and probably a child.

When the child grows older school fees will set in. And other bad debts will be incured .

Don't get me wrong, I ain't saying he will never make it but in the mean time, why bring a child to the world to suffer? Even if it's for 6 years before you make it? Why take a woman from her father's comfy house to hardship in the name of marriage?

I advice ladies never to get married no matter how cool a guy is unless he is proven to be able to cater for your needs and that of your children financially in all ramifications both expenses and sundry expenses.

It doesn't make any sense, what you enjoy when single as a lady why stop enjoying it because your husband has no money or your money now goes to supporting him?

They say women ain't equal to men. Ok let the men be rich and rich enough to take care of their wives 101% before getting married. In fact, studies show most men marry for sex.

A Nigerian court on Friday jailed 14 foreign sailors from Russia, Ukraine, Philippine and Japan between two and five years for unlawful dealing in petroleum products in the country.

The federal high court in Lagos found the suspects guilty of illegally transporting 1,738 tonnes of crude oil and some 4,500 tonnes of petrol, also called gasoline, in their vessel MT Anukpet Emerald.
Judge Ibrahim Buba sentenced 11 of the 14 foreigners to two years' jail or alternatively pay a fine of two million naira (10,000 dollars) each.

The remaining three -- all Russians -- were given five years each in absentia without an option of fine for jumping bail.

The court also ordered that the vessel and the seized petroleum products be forfeited to the Nigerian government.

The Nigerian navy arrested the sailors and the vessel in February 2015 and handed the case to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for prosecution.

It was not immediately clear if the products onboard the vessel were to be taken out of Nigeria and if so, to which country they were headed.

Nigeria, Africa's biggest oil producer loses billions of dollars each year from the theft of crude from sabotaged pipelines and illegal refining of oil products.

The oil is sold on the black market, depriving the continent's most populous state of an estimated $6 billion a year in lost revenue.

Convictions for oil smuggling are common but in most cases the offenders get away with a fine.

A beating  competition  took place at Ipetu-Ijesha  among  two notable streets namely "Odoise" and Ifofin.


Each street has representatives(competitors), so the representatives  came out and started beating themselves in turns.


 The more a participant could withstand  a particular beating session, the higher the points earned by such participant.


 Whichever street  that won will be given a price  from the king.

Cultural fools. When carnivals showcasing individual development talents are being practiced in some communities, this King is still putting burdens on his subjects with a nasty festival. Anyway, this is a child's play compared to what happens in a community called Orogun in Ughelli-North LGA of Delta State where sharp cutlasses are used to cut each bare bodied participants during their annual festivals. Guess what, the participants are supposed to have engaged in some diabolical things offstage to prevent entry by the matchettes but lo, failures are observed and deaths recorded. It's been on for ages and nobody has bothered to review the festival activities. Who will lift burdens off gullible peoples neck. Almighty God, help us.
