I had way cuter dolls than those and I beat them into a pulp, broke their legs off and everything. I can't imagine what a little me would have made of those things. |
Huhh !!! Now you're starting to sound like a Fox News reporter .But seriously, how about the republican donors and candidates? Sheldon Adelson has given over $11mil to Newt Gingrich and 'already rich' Mitt Romney still gets a lot of money from his millionaire friends and these 2 mainly spend this money on running negative ads about each other, go check how much has been spent on TV ads for the primaries so far, I think that is stupidly wasteful. Santorum has his 'aspirin between the knees' backer and Ron Paul has his own little millionaire sponsor too. So I don't know why its okay for repubs to get donations and its a problem when Obama gets some. . . . . . and what new war had Obama created ? He hasn't even caved in to the extreme provocation by Iran.
Fail! ![]() 1) Fox News doesn't give a hoot about starving children. 2) I don't give a hoot about Republican Donors or Candidates. 3) I expect more sense from Bill Maher. 4) Obama pretended to be something he's not; he turned out to be no different from any other US politician as regards foreign policy. If you lie to me and betray me, you better believe I'm gonna keep coming for your jugular. ![]() 5) Iran provoke what? ![]() |

Freedom of religion sha. ![]() It's been two weeks since Whitney Houston passed on. Here's a memorable moment from a couple of years ago. The video of this event (2010 BET Honors) is so popular and Viacom, much like her record company, are so intent on profiteering they're going around yanking it off Youtube and all other sites. This one was still there, maybe due to the sub-par video quality. Still very enjoyable. . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBY6aAzfVTc |
Liberal writer/comedian Bill Maher is donating one million greenbacks to a P.A.C. supporting Obama's re-election. Damn! Just think about how many hungry children that can feed? Instead, he spends it on this two-faced bastard who's creating more and more wars all around the globe! http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57384446-503544/bill-maher-donates-$1m-to-obama-super-pac/ https://i.i.com.com/cnwk.1d/i/tim/2011/11/16/120001778_244x183.jpg Comedian and HBO host Bill Maher on Thursday night announced he's donating $1 million to Priorities USA Action, the super PAC supporting President Obama. |
cap28:Cap, you know I think you're awesome. But this is so not fair to Ojukwu nor to history. I have previously disagreed with you about Nzeogwu, who I am convinced was an arrogant sociopathic cold-blooded murderer. We are now going to disagree about Ojukwu. How does it manifest to you that he did not care for his people or that he was simply power-hungry? How many children of the richest Nigerians or any other people join the armed forces? Would it not have made more sense if all he cared about was status and wealth for him to behave differently and choose life paths that exposed him to less danger (at every turn)? I think this can be discussed ad infinitum, touching on numerous aspects of the man and events in Nigeria/Biafra history. I think even if many have reservations about his hero status, the man's effect on history and the intense feelings most of his people have for him confers an undeniable uniquely special status on him. On a general note, it would be useful if just one thread could stay on topic instead of devolving to a tribal hate-filled fest. The one about Tinubu's eulogy to him was a promising one that turned very ugly very quickly. Please, enough already. ![]() Alj Uche Harem, I don't think you mean any harm. Just try and steer the discussion away from tribal warfare and name-calling, please. Thanks. |
I learned something today. Fab thread, OP. Amor4ce,Negro, Bros, You're a very interesting guy. lol. Is the above in line with the word Mogaji or Mogajiya for the title of Olori Ebi? Do you know? Thanks. |
Greatness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_UnGxm3OPs "A Song For You" Written by Leon Russell song, 1969 I've been so many places in my life and time I've sung a lot of songs and made some bad rhymes I've acted out my live in stages with ten thousand people watching Well, we're alone now and I'm singing this song to you I know your image of me is what I hoped to be I've treated you unkindly but darling can't you see There's no one more important to me? Baby, can't you see through me? We're alone now and I'm singing this song to you You taught me precious secrets of the truth withholding nothing You came out in front when I was hiding But now I'm so much better and if my words don't come together Listen to the melody 'cause my love is in there hiding I love you in a place where there's no space or time I love you for my life, you are a friend of mine And when my life is over remember when we were together We were alone and I was singing this song for you This song is for you, this song is for you This song is for you This song is for you, you, you, you You, you, you, you, you, you I love you in a place, my dear friend where there's no space or time I love you for my life, you are a friend of mine And when my life is over remember when we were together We were alone and I was singing this song to you We were alone and I was singing this song to you We were alone and I was singing this song Oh yeah, singing this song I was singing this song just for you |
Here's a nice one of Whitney and her daughter, at the 1:50 mark. Bobby and some others have cameos in there as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwrLQxHMKt8 A fantastic one: Live performance in 2004 of I Believe In You And Me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uos76E_ozgM |
I just noticed Maclatunji is now co-mod. Congratulations, bros. I am sure you will do your best in your new challenge. I hope it doesn't interfere with your personal/business life - I seem to recall your prior responses about not having the time to take the role. I am glad you relented and it all worked out for the best of the fans of this (sub)section. Once again, BEST WISHES for a successful reign. ![]() |
They're having a debate in Arizona with Romney, Gingrich, Santorum, and Ron Paul making too much sense. Dude has nothing to lose and he's out there telling the truth as he sees it. He's telling them they cannot continue to engage in these undeclared wars. . .they want to go make war on Iran over one nuclear weapon while the old USSR had 30,000 nuclear warheads and the USA talked to them but even with 45 US bases surrounding Iran they still want to instigate a disastrous war with Iran. . . and Al Qaida has triggered the USA to bankrupt itself by spending all their money on wars that leads to more radicalisation of the rest of the world. . . They can't handle the truth, old man! pack it up. They want lies lies and more lies! On a serious note, it's too bad friendly fire hasn't taken out that publicity-hungry racist corrupt xenophobe, Sheriff Arpaio or is it Omutiyo. ![]() |
OP, I couldn't watch the video to understand the aim of this thread. Salaam Aleikum, Lagosshia, I think a lot of Syrians probably do not want an aristocracy springing up around the Assads - when Bashar took over, after his father died, a lot of people were taken by surprise but couldn't mount an organised opposition quickly enough. The political terrain at the time was very delicate. But you're correct about the outside instigators. While Syrians genuinely want a change, this ongoing and over-hyped revolt is not legitimate. The Americans as usual are behind a lot of the misreporting if not directly involved in some of it. Assad should throw foreign reporters out of there asap! Most of them are spies anyway. |
Isn't this an old case? I could have sworn I read exactly the same incident taken to the same customary court a few months ago. Maybe it was continued. In any case, I believe the man is about 15 or 20 years older than the wife and in ill health, so she had an advantage to pummeling the poor guy. He also says she brings other men to the house. They need to separate before she kills him. |

Nothing wrong with 6 kids, ol boy. Some people are just really family-centered. But you'll probably have to settle for 4 with this wife. Look at it this way - you might get lucky - maybe she'll leave you after a couple of kids and that allows you to start all over again with another wife. I kid I jest. OK, Not really. ![]() |
I wish the guy well; don't get me wrong. Everyone loves an underdog story, as do I. And, let's face it, the NBA has gone down dramatically the last few years. Most Americans would rather watch March Madness college basketball than the NBA. So, anything they can do to generate interest, lots o' luck to them! Negro, bros, you ever gonna get your old moniker back? BTW, I meant what I said about finding an alternative site o. Seun is getting too big for his britches. Probably always was. ![]() |

cap28:That sounds about right. I think he had another baby after he and Whitney divorced. Not sure if it's with the woman who's his fiance now. Also, the girl pictured here (at the Wake) looks like his daughter that was featured in one of the episodes of their infamous reality show - there was a storyline about the 2 half-sisters hanging out together when Bobby tripped back home to Boston, if I remember correctly. Here's a nice moment with mother and child, from way back. Bobbi Kristina looks so much like her dad. The nose, of course. Too bad the Wake turned out the way it did for Bobby Brown. Not a good way to end at all. I hope people will go easy on the guy and give him a fair shake. [flash=580,400] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzgsaMNSYlE[/flash] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzgsaMNSYlE |
