Perx, darling. I wish you the best. I first read about your situation in that infamous thread. . . I wasn't sure what to think at the time - trying to understand the issue in the midst of all the drama . But, I am so glad that things are moving along now. I will keep abreast of updates in this thread about your progress, and future needs leading up to the surgery. Also, I would be curious to know if your medical trip might bring you to the USA. I'm sure some of your well-wishers will love to wish you well in person and even (physically) help however we can. All the best. ![]() |
So this ongoing debate is due to an issue with someone choosing to be with only those they find attractive, but, the below is actually stigmatizing an entire ethnic group. No offense, but most people would have more of an issue with that, seeing as you can't control being a Yoruba: Re: I Am Yoruba But I Hate Yorubas, What Could Be The Reason For This? Quote from: queensmith on January 14, 2012, 12:45 AM Im exactly the same- but im full blooded yoruba.first my generalisation was towards nigerians in general but I realised its actually just yorubas more specifically yoruba men that carry certain traits. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-843751.32.html#msg9959804 |
haba, you're describing an 88 year old female, not a 68 year old one. as per posting the photos, the story is all over the web. And similar pictures have been posted on other threads. Not the first time this kind of topic is here. probably someone who attended the wedding got the pictures. Everything is digitized these days. and didnt a 50 something year old man marry a 110 year old woman in the UK once- it was in the newspaper.
Oh, my bad. There was no link in the original post, and I missed the one posted before I posted my reply. Also, I'm not saying, once you turn 50 or 68, you're going to be hideous. Not at all. But, I have been around oyinbos enough to categorically say, there is not much a white woman can do to hide the tell-tale signs of aging on her bare HANDS AND HER NECK (which I forgot to mention in my original post). Look at all the celebrities and their plastic surgery, you cannot do cosmetic surgery on the neck, hence you can always tell the 60-year old actresses even if their facelift makes them look 40. Always! That fat bride is between 25 and 38 AT MOST! And she doesn't really look Greek either. lol. dayokanu:I really like the fabric the women are wearing. Beautiful! |
onila:Where is the link to the article reporting this story? Are these not private individuals? Why is it okay to post their picture like this? That woman is nowhere close to 50-years old, not to even talk of 60. Jeez! Did you see her hair? Her hand? Her skin? Her arms? No middle-aged oyinbo has arms like that! Despite her fatness, you can see her arms are still toned and her skin is taut - where are the wrinkles and the veins, and the sign of shriveling (post-menopausal) bones? Anyway, leave the dude alone . . .unless you have evidence he committed a crime or forced her in any way. No one knows what he told the woman, or what she told him. If you do, then prove it. |
LagosShia:Thank you, my brother. I agree that it is important to know a little bit about other religions in order to make a comfortable choice or feel secure with what was handed down to you. As I grew up, I read and understood the basic tenets of other religions, and once an adult, even visited many churches. All it did was make me more confident that I was already practising the right religion FOR ME, and spurred me to try and learn and practice more than the really non-observant (Muslim) way I grew up. lol. I don't know it all, but I know I wouldn't change to a different religion for anything! There is no compulsion in Islam. ![]() Salaam. |
Rubyrose:Okay. I have to tread carefully since I am not a doctor. I am only answering this question because I have had boils in the past, and I think I may have something to share. So, I had boils in a couple of places after shaving. If yours is in your armpit, then since there is hair there, it may be similar to my situation. If you have coarse hair and you're shaving, a boil could come about because the hair is trying hard to shoot out of the hair follicle. This is the same reason why some black men have all those after-shaving bumps on their faces. I now try other ways of hair-removal (like waxing) that completely removes the hair deep into the follicle so that when it grows back it is softer in texture and doesn't create bumps or boils. Like I said, this is only my story. Yours could be completely different. If you're medicating with anti-biotics, I'd imagine you're under the care of a doctor, so I would advise you ask him/her. (Unless people are getting anti-biotics without prescription nowadays.) |
truth4life:I've had that issue before, and still do. That is, when you want to quote a post but maybe the post was too far back in the thread and only more current shows are "quotable"? I don't know how others correct it. . . but here is what I do: Do not click reply while in the thread. Instead, 1) click on the username of the poster you want to quote; 2) view posts in profile; 3) CLICK ON "QUOTE" - it will be the center tab amongst three fields directly below the post you want to reply. That should do it. BTW, what is a "check message text"? |
justwise:Am I supposed to give a shiit what a lowlife scumbag arse-hole like your ignorant self thinks of me. I never even noticed you on this site before. I guess you think you know me. Sorry, dude. I'm not remotely interested in you or your ramblings. BTW, you're now a celebrity, since I just quoted you. lol. |
igbo2011:Thanks, bros. I will check Amazon. |
igbo2011:Igbo2011, You're certainly an admirable person. What do you think of the overwhelming propaganda targeting the break-up of our country? It seems the USA and Western countries are very committed to that now. I even heard Pat Buchanan on the current affairs show McLaughlin Group make the imminent breakup of Nigeria his prediction, on this weekend's episode. I think we're screwed. You know our so-called leaders won't know when the rug is being pulled from under them. And you have many of the disaffected unpatriotic fools, even on this very site, jubilating over the prospect of the USA dropping drones on their countrymen. I mean, it is really shocking to me. Of course these will be the same people who will be crying up and down when their cousins and uncles have been Abu Ghraib'ed. We hope it doesn't get that bad. |
Bad Jujuman! I am surprised at you. Haitians are almost singlehandedly keeping your traditional religions alive. And here you are scoffing at their authenticity. Haven't you heard Wyclef Jean and other Haitians call themselves Africans? Haitians ARE indeed Africans. I accept their application o jare. Come on down, our African brothers and sisters in Haiti. |
It's getting down to the nitty-gritty. The Republicans are going on record - choosing sides. Their establishment is down for Romney. Only the mavericks are admitting for the Newt. lol So the big primaries so far: Santorum won Iowa; Romney won NH; Gingrich won SC. Is that right? So, the next big one is Florida, on Tuesday. We've been treated to all the political machinations for about a week now. They had that last debate where Romney came out swinging against Newt, who was for some reason, a little muted compared to his typical caustic aggressive self. He was also unable to be effective with the usual tactic of waylaying the reporters who are asking legitimate questions. At the moment, one of the weekly current affairs shows has as their guests, former presidential candidate McCain, and former actor Senator Fred Thompson, who are "debating" for their candidates. Thompson has been out of politics for a while and it shows. Dude is very relaxed and just having fun. He opened the floor by conceding that Romney will win Florida. . . |
Disturbing thread. Made worse by 11 pages of bullshit by the usual suspects of NL heffers rehashing their never-ending yet meaningless internet feud. I encourage the opening of a separate thread to display your psychotic rants next time. Thanks. Chiomamb:OP, You've just given birth and may be somewhat in a weakened state. I hope you're not lacking proper nutrition, because you're not reasoning properly. Listen! [b]You're trying to HIDE a live human baby! It's not a wild animal or street cat you found on the street and you're scheming to hide in your bedroom from your parents because they won't want you to keep it as a pet. It's a live baby. Call your parents or the father's family, and get this newborn infant the proper care. I cannot fathom why your "housemother" at school would be a participant in this dangerous play. Is she the one that got you pregnant? Was she bringing men to your hostel and pimping you out? What insanity, helping you keep it from your parents! You better call someone in your family and go back home. If something happens to your child you'll never forgive yourself. Imagine if this is the only baby God will give you, and you let her be taken from you. Go back home now. That is all. |
A question to the doctor in the house, please: Why would a child - a toddler - suffer a stroke? Or could it be Bells Palsy? How long before the symptoms of Bells Palsy goes away? I just found out a child of a friend had a stroke and shows the resulting facial symptom. What could possibly cause this? Could it be improper diet? - I recall some news not long ago about diet (maybe protein) and stroke. From what I suspect, the family may have some genetic health issues that manifests in their infants and toddlers, but I don't know if that could explain a stroke. Thanks, doc. |
tyson55:The choice is No. 5. Reason(s): Because he is "broke" at the moment does not mean he will always be that way. Being broke, as opposed to being poverty-stricken (sad and unfortunate but also can be remedied), is usually a temporary state. I will assume he is faithfully working towards his goal, so that he can support his new family (wife and babies), and not simply sitting on his butt. |
milehigh06:The people to whom you're talking down, are actually Africans, not Americans. Therefore, we (meaning, I) don't base all our opinions on Obomber solely on his domestic policy. The "social programs" that seem to mean so much to you, based on the above post is not a priority to us, considering everything. . . Our (meaning, MY) primary interest is the welfare of Africans and the African continent. AMERICAN FOREIGN POLICY! If Obomber is going to pursue the exact same imperialistic and neo-colonial policies (despite his promises to the contrary), he is no different from all the others and I will BASH the hell out of him, just like I would the others. *edited: for less anger at posters. lol. My venom is reserved for the one-term president. |
gascoign1:He was reading from a teleprompter. (They all do.) Its not on the table in front of him, but it is there near the main camera filming him. lol. The Americans have those discreet ways of reading speeches for decades now. Even the scripts/teleprompters are there when they make the campaign speeches at political rallies. |
Some more pics. They're from Getty Images, so you have to look beneath the ever-present logo. That's the best I could do re: Mrs. O's blue dress.

Just going by body language and voice modulation and presentation, I think Mitch Daniels did okay. He went for the straightforward serious approach. He didn't try to project a big persona. You gotta know what works for you. Araboy:hmmm. I'm just talking about the specific persons, not their ethinicities or any generalities. lol. Nothing about Republicans or Inidians or bold guys as a group. Actually, the only person I have really bashed is Obama. He's the president of the USA. He should be able to take it! ![]() |
The Republicans are just not very good at this politics thing. The outgoing Indiana governor, Mitch Daniels, is doing the opposition address. It's usually shorter, so I am curious to see how he does. The previous one was given by congressman Ryan, and another by Michele Bachmann, the congresswoman who was running for president until a couple of weeks ago. And the year before that, it was the really charmless fake southern-accented Indian guy from Louisiana. He S-u-c-k-e-d! |
Why the beef now ? ? ?
LOL. I can't believe they put it on the front page as "FINAL SOTU Address by Obama." The title is a reflection of my own hope o. Cos I'm disappointed with the dude. hahahahaha. I can't laugh hard enough. From your lips to God's ears sha. |
It's over. What the heck did he say? lol. Nobody takes this stuff seriously. The pledges mean nothing. Just like their campaign promises. It's just the drama and the spin that attracts us (politics junkies). Oh, I forgot to mention Hilary Clinton's hairstyle - obviously an homage to her college days - the preppy pulled back hair with a cute headband look. lol. I will post picture of her and Mrs. O as soon as I find one online. |
Still looking for a picture of Michelle Obama in her shiny blue dress.
|
He just said it. He used the phrase "executive order." So he knows he can use that power. lol. |
He's talking about a thousand more jobs created. Who gives a crap about a thousand jobs when millions of jobs have been lost?! Typical electioneering doublespeak. He also says he will sign a comprehensive immigration reform bill if congress passes it and submits a bill to him. Once again, feel free to drop the cigarette for a minute and sign an executive order doing so. I don't blame you anyway, it's the poor desperate Latinos that trusted you to do the right thing and believed you will do what you promised. He keeps using and overusing this line "Send me a bill . . ." |
Araboy:I give her credit for whatever one must do or endure to be and stay a President's wife. But I don't find Michelle attractive one bit. I don't want to bash her. lol. Fun fact 1: Did you know that the great Mandela's wife and former first lady of South Africa has been married to 2 heads of states?! Now, there's a remarkable woman. ![]() Hmmm. What's the 2-faced b saying? lol. I'll find the transcript later. ![]() Obama: ". . . send me these tax reforms and I'll sign them right away!" Yeah, right. If you really want to do it, you'd exercise your executive powers. Instead of using it to prosecute undeclared wars and invading sovereign countries for their O-I-L!!! |
He asked the black lady to lose more weight ![]() |
Araboy:Lol. I just wanted to say one nice thing about the old boy. That's all. And, Yes. I actually like Lefties (left-handed He opened with taking credit for the Osama assassination. Dude was already thinking about his re-election even before his last SOTU address. |
Justice Bader Ginsburg gave him a BIG hug. Overly dramatic and unusually demonstrative for a US supreme court Justice. I've never seen Ginsburg so animated. Chick must be going senile. Or maybe it's all for Obama's current sucking up to the American Zionists lately. lol. Nice moment with Repr Gifford, the recovering shooting victim. Her hubby is cute, despite the bald head. Maybe even because of it. He should be the new model for ![]() |
I wanna know what he said to the black lady in emerald green dress. She was taken aback. I am sure it wasn't a dirty joke. At first I thought he was going to do his sloppy kiss routine on her. ![]() |
He's in! lol. Strolling down the aisle. Faker. ![]() I forgot he's a lefty. Okay. One good thing. Lefties are cool. |
