Justice629:I knew your battery bank is large..... 70w idle power consumption for 5kva inverter is much. I sold my old 3kva Felicity transformer based inverter because of high idle power. My current 5kva inverter consume max idle power of 40w. Please, how do you know your era pv is original and Canadian pv is fake? Please, share your experience..... I'm using 9 pcs of 450w era pv too. |
TechGeek777:3kva 24v hybrid is 500k plus now. I bought the 12v 1.2kva 85k last week. |
Justice629:I guess your battery bank is up to 28,600kwh..... What type of inverter are you using, is it hybrid? What type of pv? This is the time to know the drawing/sucking capacity of various tier 1 and 2 panels. This is the time to know also how good our charge controllers are. They are some that will not wake up early no matter how we configure our pv. There are some that will wake up very early and sleep late. Again, some people will still appreciate the low idle power consumption of their inverters this season. The key word here is "management" |
Justice629:Lithium battery is really good for those that are staying in the southern Nigeria. You hardly see this kind of weather in the northern part of Nigeria. If we are to check the cost of over sizing pv for lead acid battery to be able to effectively charge it in this season, then it may be better to spend less switching to lithium with an average pv installation while managing partial charging of the lifepo4 battery through out this season. I was seriously worried on how I would charge my lead acid battery to float, at least every two days in this season with 4kw pv on the roof. Most times, I would switched off everything in the house just to pump the available power generated by the pv into the battery. The most painful of it all was when my battery enter absorption, the amps pumping into my batteries was reduced drastically and batteries would not be floated that day. At night, I would discharge it again and the new process would begin the following day. Equalisation was even out of it.... Today, I'm very relaxed and we manage our loads with whatever % we see in the battery bank. This is our gain with lifepo4 battery especially for people like us running off-grid system, who has made up minds not to switch on generator again at home. |
For those that have received deed of gift on landed property, do you submit only the deed of gift given to you or you add it with the photocopy of the land document and submit? I'm just asking to know if there is need to submit the land document together with the deed of gift. Thanks |
oweniwe:Though the capacity of this item is not stated, it's not still advisable. Go for 48v system if you intend to power AC and budget the minimum of 3m for it. |
oweniwe:I suggest you call a good installer to design a system that will power the stated loads but unfortunately you may not be able to afford the cost/bills. When you add the second 12v 220ah battery to the first one, please don't use it with your AC, even during the day. Again, it will not be good for you to add another 12v 220ah lead acid battery after six months. |
Who gets 1.5kw 12v PowMr hybrid inverter for sale? |
Machiny:If your total loads is below 500w, go for 12v system. System design is based on loads to be powered. 24v system is more expensive than the 12v system and will power more loads than the 12v system. |
waleayeni1:Since you are on tight budget, why not going for 12v 160ah lifepo4 battery about 2kwh battery bank. This will be cheaper for you than going for 2 pcs of 12v 230ah lead acid battery. Work on loads management by powering your fridge/other important loads during the day. By 9 or 10pm bedtime, your tv may be put off. The remaining minor loads like fans and lightnings will take over till 7am. You should try and buy rechargeable standing fan or qasa ceiling fan with 5 steps speed/remote control. |
TechGeek777:I'm also waiting for comprehensive explanation on this. For lead acid (tubular) battery that I've been using with standalone morningstar Mppt CC..... In bulk stage charging, more amps are pump into the battery. In absorption stage charging, very limited amps of about 20 to 25 are going into the battery irrespective of how large the pv capacity is. In float stage, the amps are further reduce to about 5 while maintaining the float stage till charging source is removed or sun is gone. I'll like to know how it works in lifepo4 battery because I may dedicate standalone CC to my lifepo4 battery bank. |
bbeckky:Go for 3kw 48v or 3.5kva 48v or 5kva 48v Inverter |
bbeckky:Go for 48v 230ah battery. |
kiekie1:Does this really work effectively with lifepo4 battery? After cell balancing, what function will the battery equalizer perform again? |
bbeckky:It's always good to ask questions especially when you don't have much idea about something. The answer to your question is NO. If you're planning to use pumping machine, then you'll go for a bigger system and that will also involve a bigger amount of money. |
TechGeek777:I saw 149k for 550w Jinko pv when I checked their website today. Do you know any good 550w tier 2 pv and 3kw 24v hybrid inverter with higher Vds I could recommend for him? |
My friend wants to purchase 4 pcs of canadian pv 300w at 65k in alaba market. I wanted him to buy 2 pcs of 550w Jinko pv from Gennex at 149k each, buy 3kva 24v hybrid inverter with higher Vds and go for 2s1p. I hope he won't fall into the hands of stiker pasters. |
TechGeek777:It's addition Sir. I needed one or two to add to the existing ones. |
Please, where can I buy 450w era pv? |
Nexuspulse:I don't think this is necessary as we do reach out for price deduction..... |
Kiekie, do you still have 450w era pv? How much is it Sir? |
TechGeek777:Boss in this part of the country with a porous/non linear system, theory works for about 90% and practical works for about 10%. Your calculation works for linear system where virtually everything is up to the standard, it works also for diy lifepo4 cells coupling. We kept preaching the gospel of battery capacity test in this forum but unfortunately some people don't have time for it Let the guy carry out capacity test and let's see if the 220ah battery will be up to 180ah. When I was using 4 pcs of 12v 230ah tubular batteries, I derated them to about 160ah each and discharged 30% from them. I later sold them after two years of usage and I'm very sure the batteries will serve him for the nex 3 to 4 years if my usage method is applied. Going solar route require a lot of planning and awareness. Anyone that can't give lead acid battery baby sitter should move to lifepo4 battery. The price different is very small...... Again, day time loads of about 1kw with the stated pv array may not have been given enough room for the effective charging of those batteries which I'm suspecting to be tubular. I suggest he charges those batteries to float first and allow them to rest for 1 to 2 hours before testing each of them to be sure they are all in good condition. |
abuzz33:It's his business Sir. He has that power of decision..... Lol Buying from him is a choice and not buying from him is also a choice. |
Valto:Sorry to say this, most times it helps. Most of us are helping our friends and love ones to secure these items. I personally do call you to ask for price of some items for them and at times network fluctuation doesn't allow me to get you on time but if there is price list, I would only do the calculation or snap it and send to them and then call you for final purchase. |
mctfopt:Most of these products designed for Nigeria market from China are substandard and they are making huge profits from them compared with what they manufacture for other countries with a very strict regulatory bodies. That's why those that are buying lifepo4 cells and assemble them stand a better chance of enjoying their batteries more than those going for already coupled battery from the Chinese companies. Some of our Ogas like Niyi who are not on budget usually select countries like USA to buy coupled products from. |
olopan:I will check it. Thanks sir |
I'm planning to give my cousin 100w power max. I need to install something like current limiter that will stop them from consuming above the given watts. Please, what device will handle this work perfectly for me? Something that will trip off at my end if they attempt to plug appliances above 100w. His house is opposite mine and they have been disturbing us with phone charging too much. 100w would be enough for phone charging and perhaps 3w bulbs 3-4pcs for night and 1 energy efficient fan. |
3kva 24v prag hybrid inverter 3kva 24v must hybrid inverter 3kva 24v iPower plus hybrid inverter. Please which of these three are more reliable and compatible with lifepo4 battery. I was actually looking for 3kw and not 3kva. Recommendations for another good brand is needed. Felicity is out of the picture. I may need up to three units. |
Penuelseun:Thanks |
Does PowMr Mppt charge controller have editable profile that could effectively charge tubular batteries? |
justcallmenuel:. Please, who is using this pv should let me know the harvest. |
Who gets 3kw 48v hybrid TBB inverter? |
