USA U16 female Basketball team played against El Salvador's female U16 Basketball team

Look atthe injustice, if these were Africans, somebody would have been talking smack about age.

USA won 114-19
I don't get how the US kids get so big. Ahn ahnnn.

Lol

I was even suprised Colombia beat Qatar just 1-0 when I was expecting 4-0 ,and Paraguay could not beat them

Paraguay even gave it hard to Argentina during the World Cup qualifiers despite them not qualifying

Despite I said Argentina will qualify ,yes I agree with you it's a 50/50 game because Argentina is a crappy team

There is nothing Messi can do just as you said ,they where even lucky their keeper saved that penalty unless they would have lost

Wait o when did Qatar won the Asian cup ?
Qatar flog Japan 3-1 for Asian Cup final.

Argentina is a big footballing nation but sadly their women national team aren't good..

I think that's just how women football is like...it's still largely underdeveloped in most countries so the countries with better sport infrastructure are at the top.. USA Germany France Japan China Norway etc...
USA women national team can beat any national team in the world but their men atr crap..same with the likes of China and Norway..

In summary,in women football(in this age) talent doesn't matter much...hard work does..
Excellent.

You do understand that in 2016, Portugal actually finished 3rd in their group. Then was it not Wales they faced in the semifinals? Luckily escaping the big teams on their way to the final, in the final I think Griezman missed a penalty or was it a seater and Portugal won in extra time. Take away that best loser spot Portugal would not have qualified at all, then had it been they faced better teams they wouldn't have qualified either, in the Copa America if you rank third you are going home. Then in the UNL they faced Switzerland and Netherlands, no Spain, Germany, France, Beligium even England, I am not sure I get the point behind that UNL honestly.
They are better now than they were in 2016. However, I'm just saying they will compete and they will definitely make it out of their group if invited to the Copa America. Even the organizers recognized them as a real threat.

Those other teams you mentioned fell off eventually on the way to the final: Netherlands knocked out France and Germany. Switzerland knocked out Belgium. England knocked out Spain and Croatia. Portugal knocked out Italy. This winners then moved on to the Semis with automatic qualification to EURO 2020. So I think it's a very interesting tournament that one shouldn't underrate. Portugal did well.

Normally, I would just ignore your comment but since you haven't quoted me before in such a manner, I want to make somethings clear to you.

1 Not everybody is a blind optimist. Fan or not, I see something wrong, I say it without fear or favor. I am not here to please anybody.
2 Playing down our chances does not mean i am not an ardent fan. For the sake of time and space and because I owe no human (either living or dead) any explanation, I wouldn't want to go into some funny and unthinkable things I have done to support the SE right from my childhood days
3 Being optimistic/pessimistic does not in anyway affect the results on the field of play. If you like, downplay Messi's chance of scoring a goal in a match, he will still score. If you like, argue in support of Enyimba against Liverpool in a simulated Club World Cup tie, chances are that Enyimba will get beaten mercilessly like a child caught stealing. This brings me to my next point.
4 What we are doing here is sharing our opinions. Everyone has a right to it. Name-calling and tags such as hater, tribalist, and telling another person to hide his/her face is downright Childish. As I said earlier, I would have ignored you because of this.
5 It will behoove you to know that despite my pessimistic stand, I really hope we shine at the AFCON. I would be a sadist to hope we fail so that I can gloat and say "I told you so".
6 I once kicked against Mikel's inclusion because I felt the over-dependence on one man may hurt us. Yet, my opinion was met with the expected; ranging from name-calling and unnecessary bile to immature displays of childishness by many members of this thread. However, I was impressed with his performance against Zimbabwe and he is gradually winning me over.
7 If we succeed, I will celebrate to my hearts content and no petty threat(s) will stop me from airing my opinions here going forward.
8 Many so-called optimists here are pretenders and will display their true colors when their favorite player is excluded. We all know of a certain moniker and his breakdown upon Nacho's exclusion. I bet you that if Rohr had dropped Balogun or Ighalo or Mikel, we would see similar mental breakdowns from other closet SE fans.

All in all, good luck to the SE. May be best team win
You should try not to talk about anyone being childish.
As for you truly hoping the boys do well, your stance so far does not say so, not. Your stance says that you're waiting for the team to fail so you can gloat. You keep making comments on "how you said so and so during the pre worldcup". It's all good though. Just wanted to pass an assessment across. No hard feelings.

Oga humility, I no get power for argument again.

I hope we get a win in our first match. At least, for motivation and confidence to face our other group matches.
Let me tell you the plain and simple truth Darkelf. Don't be offended.

You whine too much and you're too pessimistic on the chances of the team. Proceeding with caution as per expectations from the team is okay afterall they're not blowing every one away but yours is not so. You're way too pessimistic. Too pessimistic to be a fan.

Based on your comments you should hide your face if they make it out of the group stage.

why didn't the aforementioned teams win make the semi finals in the last world cup if there are so good?

same teams who made the last world cup semi finals Portugal edged to win the Europe league cup....

and here you're saying Portugal won't scale through in that dark America continent.

pls tell me something else....
France will beat all those teams likewise Netherlands and Germany.
Loud it.

Chile did not even make it to the last world cup. In the group stage Portugal will meet the likes of Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay or Venezuela and maybe one big team. Why won't they make it out?

To be a fan doesn't equate being a clown.

You can't say that in absolute terms. If I pick a spot and nano moments before I play the ball, the keeper is flying to where I picked, you think I won't react by smashing it harder or higher or altogether choosing the other side though that is more difficult. If I see a keeper leaving his line and covering more angle, I can definitely adjust my angle, speed or direction
Okay. I now get. I had to reread the new rules again. Your interpretation is correct. The rules make sure the keeper stays put before the kick and I support that wholly. The GK should not steal a few yards from the taker, I stated as much yesterday.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by iSlayer: 12:50pm On Jun 18, 2019
Mickael2:
Naturally the gk reacts to the movement of the ball during a spotkick, if the player misses or not the fact is that you are interfering with the play, the fact that you are attempting to block the ball is naturally an interference and when you are interferring illegally(by stepping off your line) then it is a foul. Even if the player had scored, it would have still been retaken, so nobody can argue with the ref ordering a replay of the penalty, it is what it should be.

The core matter is that french players were in the box for the second penalty, they should have retaken that one too.
The GK does not react to the movement of any ball. The GK throws himself in a chosen direction and expertly spreads his limbs for the best advantage. If lucky any part of his body keeps it out. If the GK reacts to the movement of the ball how come the best Gks dive the wrong way? They were reacting to a ghost ball or what?

The penalty taker reacts to moves by the keeper when taking a penalty. When you leave the line, you are able to cover more angle, the penalty taker reacts by kicking the further wider to compensate and then it goes out. That definitely is interference.
This is too elaborate for a spot kick.

Again, the penalty taker doesn't react to movements by the keeper. The penalty taker picks his spot and smashes it in that direction. if the kick is off target that is up to the taker not the Goalkeeper so I don't agree with your position.

It is only on this thread nobody said that. That argument has been stated on thw internet sincw yesterday
There is an interpretation to this your comment that is funny.

I didn't realize people had pointed this out explicitly yesterday, Thankfully, there are people who think, out there. I didn't visit the internet for much of yesterday. At least Mostob brought that recommendation here. If such recommendations are implemented the better because this would mean that even if the keeper steps off the line, a penalty taker who misses the target/balloons the ball would not get another opportunity to retake.

let us for argument sake agree that the goalkeeper was off her line, but she
didn't not make the save, she didn't touch the ball. You played the ball out
yourself, so why should you be given another chance to replay the penalty. It's
just like a player in an offside position if he doesn't touch the ball or interfere
with play then game on, no offside.

chai..people dey para o
This is the only reasonable angle you've brought into the discussion. The others are still smarting and are not thinking straight. I commend you for this. You might not believe it but this recommendation of yours might be considered in tweaking the new rule. I commend you once again.

"If the Goalkeeper appears to have left the line but does not interfere with play during the penalty take then the goal stands and a Review in not necessary".
