But seriously guys I have been thinking about opening a private investigation agency here in Nigeria because none exists and our police units seem not to either know what they are doing or they are overwhelmed or just plain lazy.

What do you think? Will it work down here? I read about criminal activities everywhere on NL and ita all a cry for help as far as I am concerned. What do u think?

Don't do it, bad idea. You will get killed. Nigeria don't support Cowboys.

Op, do you want to commit suicide ontop boko harams matter? Don't expect our 'private jet' flying pastors to assist you oh!

Highest they would do is to take you on their jet and drop you with a parachute and a bible directly on top shekau's roof.

Nice dream anyways.

This is serious, I actually live at that obi motors Junction. . . Why didn't you try to take a picture? I just might have recognized the culprit as even if he didn't live there he would visit this area frequently for him to use it as his stage for the robbery /kidnapping.

You think nairaland is just for opening threads and beating chests? Well thank God you didn't fall prey to them.

And to all those using their smelling fingers to give their own (1 you old) testimony, I am sorry to say this but you must be "higher" than I normally get after a few puffs of my stuff.

Car Talk / Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by ismokeweed1(f): 8:08am On Jan 20, 2015
hi all, please i want to know how much a honda eod 2004 ivtec 4 cylinder 2.4 engine costs in oladipo lagos. mine is damaged and my mech advises to buy the complete engine or the top and bottom half of the engine. my transmission is still okay.

i was travelling and the car broke down alonv the way. it just wasnt "firing" anymore whenever i depressed the throttle. there was an initial noise in the engine and when i got a mech to check it he raised the car, removed the front passengef tyre, opened the bottom side of the engine directly behind that tyre and produced a little chain which bad been broken inside the engine. he called it the oil pump chain or something and he is now advising me to buy a new engine instead of replacing the broken chain or just buying the bottom half of the engine alone. he says that tbe engine is alluminium therefore he wont advise me to buy the engine 'half & half' .

the engine still starts and all and there is no other issue with the car except it behaves as if it has not got any throttle pedal anymore.

thanks for any help

ZIMDRILL:

lets start with basic

is the power steering fluid full to the write level ?

and for radio check the wiring at the back of the radio, no need to wire it direct to the battery and you will forced to make sure that it is switched off manually because it will drain your battery if you forget to switch off

Yes it's usually to the right level as recently I top it up only once a week with a little quantity of the transmission fluid. But I don't notice any leaks.

My radio also stopped keeping the right time since it's issue started, it always resets its clock after I restart the ignition. Also I forgot to mention that both the radio and the socket in front of the gear where I plug in the car phone charger go off and an at the same time.
Car Talk / Very Stiff EOD Steering Problems by ismokeweed1(f): 9:39am On Oct 18, 2014
Hi all, I need healthy advice from someone here.

My car runs fine without any issues at all except that anytime my car slows down or stops and I try to move again while turning my steering it suddenly feels very stiff. I mean it works freely only when I'm in motion.

My mech said it's my steering BOX, I asked him if it was the pump buy he said no. He told me that if he works in it and it's still faulty then I should keep 23k to change the whole power steering apparatus (I've forgotten what he called it). Also my radio comes on or off whenever it feels like, I mean it may be on when I switch the car on but after moving a little distance it goes off automatically never to come on again till I restart my engine (and it's not every time I restart the car that it comes back on again). My mech said he will wire it directly to the car's battery and remove it from the ignition, is this wise?

I don't use coolant, I feel I should but I don't know the right type to buy or the way I should put it in my radiator or the amount I should use.

I drive an accord 2004 i4

Thanks

Hi, please advice me.

My Z10 dropped on hard concrete today and my screen showed a single crack. Now the topmost half of my screen is not responding to touch.

Please how much can I buy a replacement screen? Is it a good idea to replace it or better sell it off? The phone was bought brand new and never gave any trouble before.

Thanks

This thread is a funny one. The human brain is more advanced than even the most powerful computer. There is no way you can fill it up with learning so then how can you waste knowledge?

No knowledge is a waste, a human being just got to keep on acquiring knowledge. That's how our creator intended it to be.

Knowledge can only be limited. KNOWLEDGE CAN NEVER BE WASTED (except you are dull or an slowpoke, then learn what your head can carry)

Self centeredness. Was southafrica biult by mandela's father? Yet he spent nearly 3decades in the briggs just to free his people.

So you even have the guts to compare this guy to Mandela?

Mandela was BORN in sa, LIVED in sa ALL HIS LIFE, MARRIED in sa, GAVE BIRTH to all his kids in sa, became a GRAND FATHER in sa, he WON NUMEROUS ACCOLADES, AWARDS and HONOURS in sa that even presidents, kings, queens and ministers came all the way to sa to visit him and his family. He eventually DIED in sa.

Now let's compare him to this guy as YOU and a lot of CONFUSED people are doing . . .

. . . . . Do you really want us to do this ? ? ?

At least I know you lack common sense because all I said was for anyone that read the story with an unbiased mind will find out that there are a lot of discrepancies. Please read the story again! Then we can talk!

It's not like the pastor has been found guilty, but if you look at this kind of story in basic summary then

"the boy killed the girl - > > matter found out and reported - >> police made investigations - >> pastors name came up - >> pastor is arrested for questioning. . .

We can never know the real and full story except we are involved (which we are not) so Let's only hope it only ends well and justice is served in the end
