Politics › Flood In Uyo Despite Drainage System By Julius Berger by ITbomb(op): 10:45am On Oct 17, 2013
Akwa Ibom Uncommon Transformation.

Uyo Residents Send SOS Letter To Gov Akpabio Over Flood

A Save Our Soul letter has been sent by residents of Eniong, Anua, Mbiabong Housing Estate in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, to the state governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, urging him to come to their rescue as they battle flood in the area.

The letter, which came after most residents of the estate had packed out of their houses as a result of a heavy downpour which flooded their homes, appealed to the state government to consider the plight of the residents, who have been suffering untold hardship due to the effects of the rains.
The latest rain on Monday lasted several hours and brought down the fence of some of the houses in the estate, while household items were seen floating in the rain water that entered some of the houses.
When Vanguard visited the estate, most residents were seen battling the rain to remove their electrical appliances and other household items out of their houses as the rain water had flooded the entire area.

President of the Estate, Mr. Anselem Etuk, whose house was flooded, told Vanguard that the flood menace has remained a perennial problem, but wondered why the state government, despite repeated appeals had refused to come to their rescue.
Another resident of the estate, Mrs. Eyo, whose house was also affected, while recounting her experience in the last three years, said “in 2011, I lost all my property and started all over in 2012, I had the same experience, and now in 2013, it has happened again, yet the government will not even show concern.”
A pensioner in the estate, Mr. Uduak Archbong, told Vanguard “our problem is not that we don’t have a government, we have a government, but my worry is why this kind of problem will not attract the attention and sympathy of the government.”
The state Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Enobong Uwah could not be reached for comment, as he did not pick calls placed to his mobile phone. [Vanguard]

Romance › Re: Why Can't We Stop Fornication And Adultery? by ITbomb(m): 3:42pm On Oct 16, 2013
If the truth must be told, Because we have never seen anyone being punished for doing it. And almost anyone you know is doing it and still going on with their life.
.
In my opinion, it is not sexx that is term fornication but the misuse and abuse of sexx. THAT IS FORNICATION AND ADULTERY.
.
When you have sexx with your one and only sweetheart, you are making love but when you have multiple partners or sexx in exchange of money or favour , that is fornication.
When you have sexx with your husband or wife, it is love making but when done with any one not married to you, it is Adultery
Car Talk › Re: Security And Safety Tips For Drivers by ITbomb(m):
This is weird but very practicable.

1. Carry a short knife in your car, very accessible to both hands.
I know the first thing in your mind is security but NO, it might be useful in
a.) cutting yourself free from the seat belt
b.) Bursting the inflated airbag.
c.) making a mark on your windup windscreen for possible break out
The seat belt thing was design for developed countries where police, firefighters and medical attention can break in and rescue you minutes after the accident but here, you need to break yourself out.
.
2. When you are on a long distance, do not use AC, wind down the window glasses if not total, just a little.
Also when you are in a public bus, always keep the glasses not fully closed, if the wind is dsturbing you, keep at least a small gap.
Most accidents are aggravated because people get trapped inside the vehicle. A fully closed window glasses is almost difficult to break.
.
3. If you cannot see the distance of the next NEPA pole, dont press the accelerator.
.
and the fourth which many will not agree, when on a long trip and on high speed, do not lock ur doors unless u sense danger or in a hold up.
In summary, Never cage yourself in the car in the name of safety n security, you might need to get out quick

One of the mindblowing song I could never imagine to be perform live on stage was 'Get your freak on' by Missy.
But when I saw it, the instruments, violin , even though there was sound effects in the background but it was actually performed.

I doubt whether Nigerian producers can convert all those rubbish they cook on the mix to live performance
