Agriculture › Re: 'Nigerian Cows Look Like Marathon Runners'; Man Shares Pictures Of His Cattle. by ItsMeAboki(m): 8:18pm On Jul 23, 2018
Kennydoc:
Oga, have you considered the quality of lives of those Fulani herders? If most of them were educated and contributing intellectually to the advancement of Nigeria, will they be following cows about in the bush?

Forget about your cholesterol talks. The Europeans and Americans have far better life expectancy, despite all the junks they eat. If you re very concerned about your health with respect to eating beef, then the best option will be to boycott beef almost completely. Europeans don't even eat beef as much as they eat chicken.
May I refer you again to the last paragraph of my post, especially to the words 'mixed' and 'balanced'

No you lied, the Europeans and Americans don't eat more chicken than beef; yes they have higher life expectancy but that is only due to corresponding better medical care, which does not hide the underlying high rate of food related morbid obesity and other diseases, especially those associated with the consumption of beef and dairy products.

On the home front, perhaps if many of you could wean yourselves off beef it would reduce demand and therefore have a positive impact on the (much politicised) farmer/herder conflict; however, we all know much you guys are addicted to cow meat, to the extent of eating parts that normally wouldn't be considered edible or palatable e.g. the skin which should ordinarily go into making shoes and bags, but no way, you ppl have turned it into a delicacy called pkomo; as well as other parts such as the feet and worst of all, the nose - oh my God!

Ojiofor:
We have been practicing ranching in Igboland for ages, our native goats and cows can't be compared with Fulani breed of cows .
In a decent society nobody allows livestock to wonder around to cause havoc to other people's business or property.
Its time other Nigerians go into commercial ranching like this man.
Your problem is comprehension; no need arguing with someone who obviously cannot read and understand a string of simple sentences such as the ones making up my post; I advise you to ask somebody with more intelligence to kindly go over and explain my post to you - especially the last paragraph.
Agriculture › Re: 'Nigerian Cows Look Like Marathon Runners'; Man Shares Pictures Of His Cattle. by ItsMeAboki(m): 5:52pm On Jul 23, 2018
Yes quite true; however, Nigerians may in future be exchanging their healthier free range grown lean meat in exchange for less healthier high Cholesterol, heart disease inducing, hormone and antibiotics laden fatter meat.

Not everything we see and copy from Europe and America is necessarily good for us - even they too are reconsidering some of their high intensity battery farming methods for free range greener methods.

We should approach our transition with a mixed and more balanced perspective than what is otherwise being blindly canvassed.

My 'paucity in functional brain-cells' sure has your knickers all tied up in a knot of anger and pain..I mean its funny how my supposed lack of creative has got your attention, keep fooling yourself you harbinger of death and blood-shed.
Anger and pain belongs to those whose tortured lives are fixated on their irrational hatred for a president who doesn't even know or care they exist.

BTW, the correct phrase is 'knickers in a twist' no tied up in a knot and lack of 'creativity' not creative.

You abokiis will always defend your own. That's the problem of Nigeria. Northerners ruined this country wit their looting and incompetence just as it is going on under buhari, yet you guys are still supporting him.
Too much dog meat affects the brain and can render some ppl incapable of rational thought.

I don't suppose you expect me to respond to that baseless emotional rubbish you just posted.

Complete hogwash driven by a combination of hatred, bigotry, ignorance and lack of intelligence; how could a party rally amount to a coalition of herdsmen and local rebels?

@OP: pls show us picture evidence of the herdsmen with their cows otherwise STFU - your post was nothing more than hate speech.

Apart from the looting, Nigeria was OK and powerful during abacha's reign..
The alleged looting was a fallacy; those who took over immediately after him happened to be his arch enemies ( Abdulsalam Abubakar, who was about to be sacked by Abacha and OBJ who was jailed by him) they simply set out to frame him, and of course as a dead person he couldn't come back and defend himself.

However, those in the supreme military council e.g. Jeremaih Useini, General Bameyi (incidentally jailed by Abacha) etc. had come out and clarified that it was a collective decision taken by them, (in the SMC) to stash away the money (as part of our foreign reserves) in secret accounts from the risk of being frozen by hostile international sanctions against the then military regime - as it happened to Libya under Gaddafi.

It must be terrible facing yet another prospect of 4 more miserable years of unresolved anger and hatred; seems like the fear of a Buhari comeback sends many of you hateful IPOB youths into rage against anyone that comes up with the slightest prediction of a Buhari victory.

If that were true; then it would be most unfortunate because it is tantamount to imposition of candidates and therefore quite undemocratic - since it would disenfranchise those wishing to vie for the same tickets along with their electorates.

No doubt the handwork of the intellectually lazy (and a growing irresponsibly biased media) that is how they continue to deliberately misinterpret the president - including the infamous 97% vs 5% which was clearly quite the opposite of what he actually said.

I am glad that this kind of negativity is being independently noticed and exposed by more intelligent folks to educate the otherwise gullible.

What makes a currency strong ?

1. Interest rates. High interest rates help promote a strong currency, because foreign investors can get a higher return by investing in that country.

2. Economic policies. Tight fiscal discipline and anti-inflationary monetary policies help promote a strong currency.

3. Stability. A strong government with a well-established rule of law and a history of constructive economic policies are the type of things that attract investment and thus promote a strong currency.

4.Reduce inflation. If inflation is relatively lower than competitors, then the countries goods will become more attractive and demand will rise.

Chinas plan is to rule the world and Nigeria is helping them achieving this. When China sell goods and services to you, you pay them in dollars, it doesn't help Chinese economy as they have to take the dollars to the Americans in exchange for gold for example, but with this move they boycott the Americans.
So would you say it is better for the buyer (Nigeria) and the seller (China) to keep depending on a third party/middleman's currency (American Dollar) when they can trade directly in their respective currencies?
