]Suspected Fulani herdsmen wrecked havoc after attacking Shimba village in Song Local Government area of Adamawa state. According to reports, the herdsmen struck the quiet community by 12 midnight - killing those they encountered and also burning houses in the process. Here are photos from the attack scene. Meanwhile, fresh reports have it that Fulani herdsmen went on a fresh rampage in Taraba State Thursday night,10 hours after Governor Darius Ishaku raised the alarm that they were coming. Four persons ,including a couple ,were murdered at Ngutwsem village in Gassol local government area in the night attack. Source; https://www.nationalhelm.co/2018/02/fulani-herdsmen-launch-midnight-attack-community-adamawa-photos.html
Suspected Fulani herdsmen but without confirmation; see how they cunningly use language to incriminate them without evidence - in other words, only the Fulani kill; the other tribes are always innocent and never bear arms. |
delishpot:Some times I wonder whether you ppl reason at all. Ok, if we have to play that game; then here, lets go: Yes, their grand patron was in Aso Rock until he was driven out and sent back to Otukue; you can see him below, being decorated and awarded with a certificate by the Fulani as their Grand patron for life; yes they were so happy with him to extent that they pledged him 23 million of their votes because he was kind enough to release N100B for rehabilitation of their grazing routes - yes, GEJ did it. @TOPIC: The analysis is spot on; indeed southern politicians are now using the media and ongoing crisis to divide and instil hatred in the minds of Nigerians; the herdsmen/farmer clashes had long been with us for years, yet it never was politicised and exaggerated this much; the only difference between now and then is that the sitting president is Fulani and his detractors are maliciously exploiting the sensitivity of ethnicity and religion to discredit him.

NgeneUkwenu:WORD! ![]() |
Eluwilussit:Armchair tribal jingoist, it is your type that keep fuelling inter-tribal conflict by spreading such obvious hateful lies that must have originated from your deceitful mind and/or evil propaganda network without a shred of evidence at all - pls show proof where the Emirs called for Jihad. Nobody, I repeat nobody goes about killing and maiming without a reason - you keep blaming the Fulani of killing as if such killings is restricted to them alone; while also ignoring the reason behind the killings when they occur. |
coolscott:If he did, it didn't get much publicity - pls provide the link. |
Eluwilussit:I hope Nigeria never goes up in flame but if it does I hope the inferno is only restrict to you and your immediate family. The killing of those innocent Fulani are among the few that occasionally comes to public knowledge; many are happening secretly and quietly because the Fulani do not have a voice and the media on their side like those Benue ppl who were buried under so much publicity for obvious political reason. |
Daboomb:You mean you actually saw them with guns and yet they allowed to live and didn't shoot you dead; I thought they were supposed to be marauding mindless murderers who love to kill without reason? I bet you never saw such thing but had been relying on hearsay and viral pictures of nomadic herdsmen in Sudan and East Africa being banded around by our lazy unprofessional media to depict Fulani herdsmen. Finally, if you want to hear the position of MACBAN then kindly refer to their life patron i.e former president Jonathan who released N100B towards rehabilitating their cattle routes.
|
Daboomb:Look at you spewing bigotry and stupidity; so all the service chiefs are Fulani along with the security agencies as if the constitutional requirement of Federal Character had been suspended under the Buhari regime to enable him to defend and support his Fulani tribe - what hogwash. You and your ilk politicising these clashes as a tribal and religious crisis would one day reap the seeds of hatred you are sowing among Nigerians - pray it does not consume us like Rwanda. |
Nothing new, the investigation against him had been ongoing since Jonathan time; EFCC simply continued from where it paused. |
Thousands of cattle and herders are trapped in Benue and in danger of starvation because of restriction of their movement by the law which many of the Fulani are unaware or do not understand; meanwhile, overzealous armed guards are heavily clamping on them fuelled by hatred and exploiting them for their cattle or/and money - the consequences are what we see - reprisals. Armchair critics would say because the law is legitimate (which no one is disputing) that the herdsmen must comply; but how can you enforce a law if you have not fully sensitised and prepared the ppl expect to comply with the law? For example; how can you expect an uneducated Fulani man to process the application to buy government land - land which in any case you have not even made available (nor in practice would be willing to sell) should he want to buy? How do you expect thousands of Fulani to simply vanish into the thin air and give up their lifestyle overnight because of a new law they are yet to fully understand? |
babafirst:Yes indeed. |
resurgentxtian4:Very stupid comment; what luck and who are you calling barbaric? Fayose and his ilk are playing the dangerous game of tribal politics by exploiting religion and ethnicity to score cheap political points; they have succeeded in turning this issue of herdsmen/farmer conflict (which is strictly an economic struggle for resources: land for grazing vs land for farming) into an ethno-religious crisis - which is now bitterly dividing Nigerians at the expense of national security and our unity. Unfortunately, somebody with a brain like yours will never be wise enough to understand. |
If they had succeeded in killing and robbing; the blame would automatically have been pushed to Fulani herdsmen without confirmation - by adding the word 'Suspected' herdsmen and that's it; nobody would bother to investigate any further. |
Some ppl falsely believe that the Fulani are never the victims but always the aggressors in these clashes; simply because our biased media has been feeding them with a one sided story. |
Those who have been championing tribal politics and sowing the seed of hatred among Nigerians for their short term political gain should be happy with themselves as this conflict is slowly degenerating and taking a newer dimension of hostilities. One thing is for sure, if the Fulani do not get justice; they will certainly come back and retaliate no matter how long it will take - even if it is to pass the obligation to the next generation because it is not their way to forgive. This not an isolated incidence; it happens all the time in southern Kaduna, Plateau, Benue and Nassarawa States; where the locals will block highway traffic in search of innocent Hausa Fulani travellers to kill as reprisal against casualties they may have incurred in such communal clashes - of course these killing go un-reported by the mainstream media unless, of course if it is by the Fulani - often with verification. Those therefore pushing this divisive hatred agenda should know that they too or their families may not be safe once Nigeria goes up in flames like Rwanda. |
Medicine after death, na only today they have been killing the Fulani; why didn't he first condemn the ones they have killed in his own state - what a hypocrite. |
freeze001:Yes, just like some ppl so much love money; they'd sell themselves, their father/mother, even their children or rob and kill; risk death in the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea or slavery in Libya, and execution for pushing drugs in Asia - all for the love of money. |
stefanweeks:Of course that is the truth. Lets just pray for peace and unity against the evil wishes of some ppl who are encouraging hatred and disunity amongst us. |
Thank God he is not a northern Muslim otherwise the usual in-house bigots would be insulting both his region and religion; now that this one is one of their own, they are only restricting their condemnation to the person and his crime. |
I laugh at such wishful thinking because all are political dwarfs to PMB; presently non has the required national following to pose any threat to Buhari and with only less than 18 months to the elections, they simply have run out of time to successfully sell themselves to Nigerians. PMB is as good as returned unopposed unless of course he opts not to run. |
stefanweeks:Twist it anyhow you like but you and everyone knows the truth is that the army is to protect the locals because if the Fulani should come back they'd kill ten times much more in revenge. |
emmanuelex1:The Fulani never use to carry any weapon but a simple stick to herd their cattle; until they started being robbed and killed by locals. An average cow is worth over N200k while a herdsman may herd from 20 upwards at a given time. He is therefore easily a walking millionaire and his commodity the target of rustling; hence the need for him to carry arms to protect both himself and his cattle. His weapons are for protection not aggression; however, the Fulani are also fearsome worriers and have a culture of revenge if provoked - their success at extracting such revenge, not minding that they are often the initial victims, is what is now giving many of you heart ache, I am sure if it were the other way around; many of you politicising the crisis would not even bat an eyelid. |
BeeBeeOoh:After your militia have been killing them (including women and children) and their cattle in droves and you and the world kept quiet; now you are afraid that the Fulani may take revenge. |
Dead on arrival, the serial letter writer miscalculated Nigerians this time; he can fool them so many times but cannot fool them all the time - Nigerians are now more the wiser. |
Sirjamo:But wailers would tell you differently. |
This is one of the rare cases of the killing of Hausa Fulani by the native community which made headlines; however, it is a common occurrence after any small communal clash when natives would block the highway searching for innocent travelling Hausa/Fulani passengers to kill. Our biased media would often ignore these killings but readily report reprisals by Fulanis against the natives - because they sympathise with the latter as fellow Christians. |
sarrki:Spot on. |
9japrof:Abeg go siddon. Is that why millions of you Igbos refuse to leave the north including, Boko Haram infested Borno, in the height of all the bombings and executions, against their erosion ravaged and criminal riddled infertile red soil home - where many of them are afraid to return back - not even for Christmas. @TOPIC: FG should thoroughly investigate the crisis to get to the root cause of all the killings and mercilessly deal with those responsible, including their sponsors. It is my conviction that by the time matter is fully investigated many would be surprised with those found wanting, including the state governor who has an army of armed militia with AK47 on N15K monthly salary (the army caught some of them who exposed the secret). The recent clashes was ignited by harassment and extortion of the Fulani by armed guards trapped with thousands of their cattle trapped in Benue after the passing of the anti-grazing law in the State. These armed guards along with local hoodlums were responsible for this latest round of the conflict; they became emboldened by the new law and started attacking and robbing the Fulani to expel them out of the state, who subsequently retaliated with reprisals - this is the part that governor Ortom (with his crocodile tears) and the Nigerian media (or more correctly, PDP media) would not want exposed to the public. |
CeterisXVII:LOL, you make me laugh because either you did not read my post or did not know the meaning of the words incorrigible and hypocritical in the context used otherwise you wouldn't have brought back issues I have already addressed as well as repeating the same points you've already made. Yes the cows may belong to Alhaji Shehu Nasarawa of Zamfara as you said but according to the story your man the naval Officer detained the cattle of Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi - belonging to a completely difference person; that should explain why the court ignored all evidence pertaining to Alhaji Shehu and ordered him to pay the compensation because he evidently went after the wrong man. Seen this video a long time ago as allegedly showing the garage and cars belonging to the current petroleum Jnr. minister Ibe Kachikwu - ppl should be wary of is being posted in many of our social media as factual because some of them are not not but done anonymously to damage someone's reputation by his enemies. |
maddest:You spoke the truth. Some ppl simply want to bring down this government using a biased media and emotional blackmail by dividing Nigerians along ethnic and religious fault lines - unfortunately, the damage they are doing to our peaceful collective unity for cheap short term political gains may far outlive them and possibly come to haunt many of their future generations. |

Fulani does not only have the media, they have the whole of Aso Rock. Grand patron is there. When this shii started the people called for government intervention but no help came. Rather all aninals were said to be equal but some were considered more equal than others.
