mexxmoney:Have you ever wondered why there hardly been stories of Fulanis being killed or robbed until now? Using your common sense, do you truly believe that the Fulani are just mindless murderers who pick up arms and start killing ppl for no reason at all? If you can see the bigger picture, you would realise that there are ppl currently hell bent on discrediting the govt at all cost, even if it means destabilising the country by dividing Nigerians through incitement, hate speeches and information management to acheive their agenda. They tried and failed using IPOB and now have resorted to using the herdsmen/farmer crisis. Their tactics is to take control of the mainstream media along with their minions in the various social media platforms so as to manipulate information reaching Nigerians by way of selective journalism where angles of stories are completely ignored, emphasised or de-emphasised to deliver their kind of propaganda. You don't have to believe me, just watch and critically examine some of the media e.g. Channels, AIT, Silverbird etc and note the following: Lack of investigative journalism to find out the actual root cause of each attack e.g. whether reprisal or otherwise and by whom Vs mere allegations/suspicion (which may not always be correct); time dedicated to the herdsmen crisis (and anti govt news in general), victims of alleged Fulani attacks and their community representatives Vs same for the Fulani, number of experts or guests who would speak against the herdsmen or cattle herding Vs experts/guests with more balanced views; telly-guided questions and coaxing of answers from guest speakers against the herdsmen Vs unbiased hosting; political leaning (party), tribes, regions and religion of invited guests or so called experts; same also for the owners of these media houses (who are mainly PDP and southern Christians) - I am sure anyone with critical observation will see what I am talking about. |
Dead on arrival, they were conceived and arrived too late to make any impact; presently there is no person of repute and popular support with the potential to unseat PMB should he decide to stand for re-election. They can only make noise and chop from Baba Iyabo's questionable amassed wealth. |
Where is his herd of cattle? Some ppl need to question the authenticity of the source and story they read because not everything is true. |
Whenever justice prevails peace also prevails - the Fulanis are not mindless murderers until touched. |
CeterisXVII:You are quite incorrigible, you yet again misconstrue my deductive reasoning in the context used; though I do now concede that the the naval officer did not after all consume or otherwise disposed of the cattle as I erroneously did but was made to pay compensation for the duration of the time he illegally withheld the cattle - that much I wholeheartedly accept. However, this does not mean I said or in anyway implied that the court relied on deduction to arrived at its decision (though this process is quite legitimate and quite often relied on by the courts; there is such thing as circumstantial evidence) after having repeatedly drawn your attention to the fact that the judge weighed all the evidence before him and arrived at a judgement in favour of the Fulani. If anyone relied on innuendos and conjectures it was you, who was clearly using the words might, may etc to make his points - evidently trying to guess at the Fulani man's presumed motives in line with your preconceived biased conclusion, without the full facts. Presenting a pictorial evidence of the damage isn't enough, it only proves damage was inflicted to the property and therefore represents a mere allegation without proof; however, for any judge to convict a person, the prosecution must tie the accused to the evidence i.e. prove beyond reasonable doubt that he was indeed the one responsible for the damage - something which your naval officer evidently couldn't do; hence his conviction for illegal possession of someone's cattle. Lastly if anyone was hypocritical, it would have you who was not happy with my usage of deduction but would conveniently forget his earlier proscription and subsequent later prescription of same to me (see your closing remarks) - what a hypocrite, in a typical example of approbating and reprobating all at the same time. |
CeterisXVII:You continue to expose your poor comprehension/obvious intellectual deficiency. I suggest you go back and read my post carefully, this time more slowly and refer to where I used the phrase, "by simple deduction" subsequently then ask someone more educated to explain that to you. Perhaps you may then understand why I said that naval officer may have consumed/used or disposed the cattle otherwise the court would have directed him to return the cattle instead of making him to pay the Fulani man for them - shey you understand? Secondly, I never disputed whether or not the Fulani may have lied about the number of cattle involved; however, I did pointed out the fact that all the evidences were before the judge; who subsequently ruled against the officer having already himself admitted to illegally withholding/stealing 42 herds of the Fulani man's cattle. Lastly, I did not in anyway condoned or justified the alleged Fulani killings; I was quite conscious of the implications of my words and chose them very carefully when I said, "could also explain why the Fulani are often provoked into taking reprisals, when they cannot get justice" - key relevant words here being COULD and EXPLAIN respectively. Furthermore, my closing remarks, which expressed relief and pleasure that matter was resolved peacefully without loss of life, completely debunks your assertion that I condoned the killings - it is a pity that a person who indirectly professes superior intelligence should continue to fail woefully at simple comprehension. SMH. |
Ppl, sometimes we need to be careful about what we read and believe because there are so many unscrupulous sources of misinformation and blatant propaganda in the internet; some ppl seem hell bent on spreading misinformation aimed at sowing hatred and mistrust among Nigerians. Pls carefully take a close look at the picture of this story and ask yourself whether this desert looking terrain in the background come close to resembling anywhere in the SW let alone Ogun or even if the mode of dressing resembles those of the Fulani? Haba, how desperate can some ppl get? |
LOL, is that the picture of the murdered driver lying on his back with an automatic rifle on his chest? |
nwabobo:The constitution still guarantees your freedom of expression but it is also attached with responsibilities; including the consequence of such freedom concerning the spread of hate speeches and misinformation that could threaten the peace and our national security. |
tribalistseun:Who told you Ali is Fulani? No wonder ignorant hateful folks like you are reduced to endless wailing - in fact more of the same awaits you, come 2019 because there is no credible candidate that presently can unseat Buhari - take it or leave it. @TOPIC: Loved the way Ali put this vindictive 3rd class senator back in his place. |
Good development, that would make these TV stations to sit up and stop allowing unscrupulous ppl, from using their platform or apparently connive with them to spread falsehood or misinform the general public - in many instances targeted at discrediting the president and this administration even at the expense of national unity by way of exploiting the three fault lines of religion, region and tribe as we can currently see unfolding before our very own eyes. |
PStacks:The man simply has a big ego which needs to be massaged all the time; to him no one is good enough to govern but himself (despite his many big blunders) its therefore always his way or the highway - he is nothing but a glorified bigot; his his daughter Iyabo and son Gbenga would know. |
Suko110:It appears you are quite ignorant about the our law including religious (both Islam and Christianity) and that of natural justice; hence you are the one who is talking trash. |
Amarabae:Why not; if they would vote against their own son, Bashir Tofa for a Yoruba man, M.K.Abiola in 1993 why can't they do the same for an Igbo man; it it is a matter of zoning, if all the parties zone the presidency to the SE then they would have no choice than to vote for a candidate from that region. However, before that can ever happen; Igbos must have to do a lot of work to undo the damage of their numerous insults and lies against other tribes, through unbridled propaganda especially via the social media platforms and Churches - IPOB propaganda is a typical example. They must also embrace the art of diplomacy and the power of persuasion against their arrogance and forceful ways in the manner which they conduct themselves. They must in addition also ditch the victim mentality and tribal prism with which they often view issues that affect them pertaining or arising from how they interact with other tribes. Until they can reach out and join mainstream parties with a national spread (e.g. PDP or APC) in their numbers rather concentrate themselves in regional minority tribal parties such as APGA, they will consistently limit themselves to having only regional influence and well out of reach of the presidency; because no one would give it to them on a platter of gold without any effort just because they are good at wailing and crying marginalisation - its as simple as that. |
NOETHNICITY:In addition, many of them ignorantly believe all herdsmen are Fulani and also all Fulani herdsmen are Muslims; not realising that among the latter are also animists or agnostics who practice no religion at all and furthermore that other tribes especially in Taraba, Benue and Plateau are also pasturalists; while many others including Yoruba engage the Fulani to herd their cows - i.e. not all cows being herded are owned by Fulani. |
A mad person is not responsible for his actions because he has no capacity of deciding between right and wrong - but some ppl just love roasting human beings alive. |
CeterisXVII:My friend stop behaving like a dunce. This matter was reviewed by a competent court where evidences presented by both parties were carefully considered by the presiding judge who subsequently ruled in favour of the Fulani man because he found the retired Naval Officer guilty of the offence. Note (by simple deduction) the naval man couldn't have just detained the cows but evidently consumed/used or deposed them (effectively stole them) otherwise the court would have simply ordered him to return the cows instead of payment to the Fulani man - it clearly showed how the naval man took the law into his hands and could also explain why the Fulani are often provoked into taking reprisals, when they cannot get justice. I am, however, pleased and relieved at how this matter ended peacefully in a more civilised manner without loss of life. |
All their campaign of calumny will not work; come 2019 PMB would still come out smelling like roses.
|
Wailers ain't happy, see them sidestepping the thread - by the time the economy properly picks up by next year, all their lies and negative propaganda would be undone - they would have their say but Buhari would still find his way back to Aso Rock. ![]() |
[quote author=Remimadrid post=64618417]Bashing or no Bashing, what is sure is that come 2019, all road will lead back to Daura. quote/] Wrong, come 2019; the 5% wailing minority would have their say while the 97% majority would still have their way - no shaking . ![]() |
Mogidi:I can assure you, even if he were to defect; when it comes to presidential election Buhari will still get his block votes - don't believe the hype; the talakawas are firmly behind their Baba Buhari, irrespective of the hardship and ongoing malicious propaganda against him. |
See big liar, this was the man who was taken to court by a Fulani for illegally witholding/stealing his cattle for ransom where he was found guilty of the said crime and ordered to pay N9M the cows + N0.5M damages. His lies before the court were easily apparent based on his unproven claims of damage to his crops and cassava processing plant of changing value from initial N15 to eventually N5M. Look at how he is now twisting the whole thing to propaganda - why did he fail to mention how he admitted seizing/stealing 42 herds of Fulani cows and made pay compensation by a competent court. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/01/court-orders-afolayan-ex-navy-chief-pay-n9m-herdsman-seizing-42-cows/ |
bugidon:Number of ppl being killed during GEJ's regime, especially by Boko Haram whose defence money was diverted for his re-election make the present killings child's play - try being fair honest for once pls. |
Babzrockman:Exactly |
MediumStout:They will attack you not the message; majority of them are beyond reasoning, they are just of hate and encouraged to expouse it. |
Nonsense; this is from a video clip showing the baboon undiplomatically trying to bring the issue of his letter in the open public arena with the president and immediately being cautioned by Abdulsami Abubakar to shut up - with the words, "not here, ah ah, kilode now!" while Buhari kept a dignified silence, remaining completely unperturbed. Unfortunately, that short exchange is being muted by our biased media because it would not suit their current agenda against the president. I have a copy of the clip but don't know how I can directly upload it here because I have tried several times and failed - maybe somebody can offer a suggestion. |
Sprumbabafather:Fulani Herdsmen |
plessis:Just wait and watch them come with their usual abuses and insults. |
Pubichairs:Just as ignorance obviously full south - this goes a long way to explain your dumb ass comment. |
This is exactly what the Fulani should do to draw attention to their own plight which obviously a biased media had chosen to ignore and only concentrate on reporting their reprisals against such atrocities perpetrated against them - I bet this will not be covered by any of the media houses, especially the electronic media e.g. AIT, Channels and Silverbird (all owned by southern Christians who are openly PDP and anti Buhari/govt.) I heard the incidence in this morning's BBC Hausa program where over 200 cattle were claimed by the Fulani as either stolen or killed along with the killing and kidnapping of some of their men. |
This is what happens when ethnic politics and jingoism are allowed to take root in our psyche - his statement, even though inappropriate is far less inciting as those of Kanu or a video I came across of where a pastor was preaching to his congregation and claiming that 1 Igbo man was better than 500 Hausa ppl. I truly subscribe to the idea of revisiting the ditched social media bill as well as cracking down on any form of hate speeches because hate always begets hatred. |
Yes indeed and there should be no compulsion any state to do so but that doesn't that states willing to provide land for the proposed colonies shouldn't be encouraged to take advantage of FG assistance to this effect. Those saying it is a private business ignore the fact that there are several govt policies which provide and continue to provide assistance to both individuals and organisations - in terms of tax exemptions, cash, direct loans/loan guarantees, subsidies, equipment and materials as well as technical assistance; cattle rearing as part of its agricultural development cannot be any different; while those opposing it as part of the solution being proffered towards the herdsmen/farmer security problem are only being guided by their emotions bias than common sense. |

This media war on innocent Fulani tribe will be lost. Why must we blame every atrocity on Fulani herdsmen? Haba this is getting out of hand. Even though some fulani's are guilty of violence, it doesn't mean there are no good fulanis. Should we conclude that all Igbos are criminals because of Evans? I'm surprised the Rivers new year killings wasn't blamed on Fulani herdsmen. You guys need to take it easy on Fulani's. How many igbo or yoruba can rear cattles to meet the commercial demand of Nigeria? Instead of demonizing the fulanis, let's support the cattle colonies so we can live together in peace. Remember no tribe in Nigeria can defeat the Fulanis should we embrace violence. I pray for peace
