veekid: POS vendors are now loitering hospitals, looking for desperate people whose loved ones are sick and need cash urgently. Some are charging as much as 3k to withdraw 10k cash. This one isn’t Buhari’s fault. Bad governance aside, Nigerians are worse than their leaders 📌 I wanted to buy something of 13k. The boy I bought from tried calling the oga to be sure he's available to confirm my alert before I send. The oga wasn't picking so he took me to a POS shop just beside him. I was to transfer to the POS operator and the operator will transfer to his oga. Can you believe this POS operator told me to bring 1600 as charges. I almost slapped her. Why are Nigerians like this? |

Omoapena: I don't understand this your quote, who asked for market value and how is my question related to how people get scammed...
Guy, masharator If something is not wrong with you, you will not be pricing a car that can be fixed with 450k and sold for 3.5m at N900,000. Even the asking price of 1.3m clearly tells anyone with half a brain to run as far away as possible Go and pay 900,000. We will be here to read your lamentations and watch your juicy tears. Mugu |

I'm seeing 2 different car here, gold and silver, which one is he selling at that price? This is exactly how people get scammed. The market price of that car is over 3m. Make of it what you will |

Sad to learn those culprits are still walking in their various prisons after been sentenced to death Governors almost never sign off on the death penalty. The last governor to do it was Adams Oshiomole in 2012. |

The APC rally in Katsina was a disaster. I hear there's no cash to mobilise people to the venue. They have also quickly postponed Oyo rally. No wonder El Rufai and Oshiomole have been moving from one TV station to another |

raumdeuter: Mind you both you and seankafor are not average Nigerians in income
Think back to your Secondary school Economics or Agric teacher who even qualifies as above middle class That's why I asked if he lives around politicians because you honestly can't live around normal and average Nigerians that are getting disconnected for not paying PHCN bill of 5k or less and be talking of 150k a month or even DSTV sub. |

Aside if person fit pay 25k for dstv sub, why cant dey pay 150k for light to watch it? It's like you live around politicians. How many people even have DSTV talk more of paying 25k monthly for it. Let's do a small survey on this thread and let's see how many people sub 25k every month for dstv |

raumdeuter: With these conversation I wonder why people are not moving en masse to solar
Waiting for NEPA or electricity to be stable is likely never going to happen since I was a kid NEPA has been like this and showing no signs of changing
If I own a house in any Nigerian city, One of my first expense is to install solar and give the middle finger to NEPA To install solar the right way for you to completely go off grid also costs a lot of money. Another issue I have with solar is that it's just unnecessary attention. I live in a rented apartment. I can't afford to put solar on the roof and give everyone passing on the street the impression there's one big man living there Living a low key life is still one of the best ways to avoid kidnapping in this town. Though that has now reduced thanks to bunkery but you can't throw caution to the wind. |

raumdeuter: For who will 150K per month on electricity be a bargain
The average Nigerian does not live in Lekki, Rather they liv in Ilesha, Arochukwu and Potiskum
Shey the salary of a secondary school pricipal which is a senior level staff even reach 150K a month
For you to afford 150K a month comfortably, your monthly income needs to be around 600k because you will have to pay other bills and utilities, feeding etc No one on 600k can afford electricity of 150k monthly except he's single. 600k a month is not exactly a lot of money in Nigeria of today. If this was 2018, I'll say yes but not 2023. |

CBN has succeeded in making innocent bankers who are going about their job despite the restrictions placed on them
Now na to begin attack bank workers in the street but as long as Tinubu is the target everything is okay Emaprince: Sorry about that bro.
I really don't know why people dont see CBN as the problem.
CBN are doing everything to paint banks as the bad guys to exonerate themselves. They keep posting videos of banks busted for not loading ATMs with the meagre new notes given to them. CBN should be ashamed of themselves cos if anything, those videos exposed how economical they are with their disbursement of the new notes among banks.
The money I see in all those videos put together won't be enough for a single branch to serve its customers.
Their aim is cashless policy..so they should do well to come out open and tell the public that the policy means there won't be any cash availlable..and stop giving us false news about how they have given money to banks but the later refused to pay customers.
People should face CBN The CBN on one hand, the banks on another hand but my problem now is with us the people. One of the very first lessons I learnt as an adult was that, fighting and jagidi jagan( can't translate this) does not solve every issue. Sometimes you just have to be diplomatic and be wise. Now that they have ambushed the poor people working in the bank, the bank has closed. The small money they would have even collected they can't collect. Those with dispense errors, lost ATMs and a plethora of other issues that would have been resolved today have been denied that opportunity. Everybody now don go house or have spent extra transport money to visit another branch. Who is now at the losing end? |

DontBullshitMe: Nigeria was already subsidizing his tertiary education. Why should he deserve a student loan again?
That's the problem of majority of Nigerian citizens/voters - excessive entitlement. This country is already doing too much for its citizens despite the fact that majority of the populace pay no direct tax.
Tertiary education - subsidised Fuel - subsidised Healthcare - subsidised Forex (dollars) - partially subsidised
The people are not paying the real price for the products they consume and the services they enjoy yet they keep breeding to increase the number of beneficiaries... How country wan grow? It will breakdown at a certain point. If what you say is true, why are people leaving all these subsidies and this government that does too much for us for places where there are no government subsidies and people pay the real price of products. |

BlueRayDick: Personally I think that Osun election should be cancelled outrightly by the courts and a fresh election ordered .
An election in which 185k votes was cancelled out of about 778k polled by both APC and PDP is definitely not a credible one. Both parties are beneficiaries of a fraudulent electoral process; just that one benefited more than the other . They will eventually have to ammend that part of the electoral law. It makes absolutely no sense |
