CrimeRe: 5 Family Members Die After Having A Meal Of Jollof Rice In Imo State by iukpe: 2:37pm On Jul 03, 2017
Drinokrane:
Five members of a family have died after having a meal in Umuokpara Umanu, Obollo community in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.

Mr. Vitalis Nwosu, his wife, Obianuju, and their three children, Chinonso, Chinasa and Odimnobi had eaten jollof rice for dinner served by Mrs Obianuju Nwosu. Soon after eating, they started having stomach pain, stooling and vomiting, Drinosblog whilesblowers reports. The children began to experience the symptoms first and they were taken to a hospital but did not make it.

A villager recounted the incident: “The children were the initial complainants and their parents quickly moved them to a nearby private hospital (names withheld). Every effort made to save them failed as they died one after the other.”

Soon after the children died, the parents came down with the same symptoms and were taken to a hospital where they died. Their remains of the deceased have been deposited at Adam Mortuary, Ugiri. Two other members of the family, who joined in eating the meal survived.

Reacting to the incident, the deceased’s first son, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwosu, told newsmen that he was not at home when the incident occurred.

Chukwuemeka said that he suspected foul play. He alleged that his parents and siblings must have been poisoned by a relation over a protracted family matter and urged the security agencies to thoroughly investigate the incident.

This is what happens when the government loses control or ignores a delicate emergency situation. Before now, the people of Ikorodu did not go this far. They called for help, begged anf pleaded for security men to help keep them safe. The government turned a blind eye making Ikorodu people helpless and as rams pushed to the wall, they have tirned around in anger ready to crush anything in their path to safety.
The security agents are part of this cult else they would bleed to hear things like this happen. They are simply involved that's why they cannot act.

UNIVERSITY = A breeding ground for intellectualism, setting the pace for future and laying finishing touches on individuals , shaping minds, believes and practices.

UNIVERSITY = The place where cultism was born bred and developed to the admiration of people who couldnt reach universities.

Cultism has graduated from campuses its now in our society reaching peoples homes, touching parents and families directly.

Who will tell the youth this is not the way things should go?

That's the effect of jungle justice.

Who can blame the residents for carrying out jungle justice on Badoo groups or anybody or thing that looks anything close to them when the Nigeria Police has assumed 'siddon look' and left the masses to be slaughtered endlessly by these demons?

I blame the State Government for all the deaths recorded in Ikorodu by Badoo. The security have failed the people resident there.
If the security agencies had gone into action in the killing of the first citizen of this country by this notorious gang, to arrest and crush them, this kind of scene would be unseen.
When our security agents fail to act decisively against crime and people suffer untold pains in the hands of unmasked men, then anarchy such as this will reign so that people can live a life.
CrimeRe: Two Cable Thieves Including A Grand Father Of Three Arrested in Lagos (Photos) by iukpe: 9:30pm On Jul 02, 2017
Specialspesh:
Operatives of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command in separate incidences yesterday arrested two suspects over the vandalisation of cable and transformer.

The suspects, Oladele Elegbede, 54 and Andrew Onoriode 25, were arrested early in the morning by the operatives in Dopemu and Alausa area of the State with vandalised cable and transformer earth.

One of the suspects, a grandfather of three, Oladele Elegbede, who is a trained electrician, was arrested early Saturday morning by the operatives of Rapid Response Squad in Dopemu for vandalising transformer cables around 4:37 a.m. yesterday. He is from Ilaro, Ogun State.
Elegbede had a week before the incident stolen cables around the transformer, throwing the entire community into darkness.

Some of the residents of the area, who followed Elegbede to RRS Headquarters in Alausa, alleged that he was the one responsible for the vandalisation of the transformer cable on Monday.

Elegbede, who was caught with a cutting plier, confessed that he vandalised cables whenever he was broke. He added that he had sold vandalised cables in Railway Crossing more than seven times.

In his confession, he said “I was arrested around to 5:00 a.m. I went to that transformer to operate. I was there last week. I cut cable whenever I am broke. I have three grandchildren. My wife is dead…. The last cable I sold weighed one kilo. I was paid N1,500:00. I sold it at Oju Irin Pen Cinema. The one I just cut can fetch me N1,300:00.”

According to a scrap metal dealer who the suspect fingered as his buyer, Abdulsamod Yau, “I have bought cable from him (pointing to Elegbede) like seven times.”

The second cable thief, Andrew Onoriode, 25, who claimed to be a casual staff of Nigerian Bottling Company, Agidingbi plant in Ikeja was arrested behind Shoprite Ikeja with a freshly cut armoured cable believed to belong to the Lagos State Ministry of Works.

According to investigators, the cable was cut from the network supplying powers to some of the buildings around the Secretariat.
The two suspects have been transferred to the Lagos State Taskforce for prosecution.

These days its called child abuse. Father or mother beats child = abuse.
Many responsible African adults today grew up with the cane to get where they are. I remember my dad beating me in secondary school in 1981, at the assembly ground simply because I left boarding house for home in the weekend while he came looking for me in school, but I stayed at my uncles room at the BQ rather than in our building. I learned a lesson from that, "you have to pay for your crime".
Many children are so mischievous today and you cannot tell whether the girl has a string habit of picking things and has had several warnings.
But adults need to exercise caution when carrying out "flogging" as discipline so not to injure the child, I can see the cane barely missed her eye there.
However i have three boys, my wife does the discipline, i dont spend much time with them and have never beat them 1 day except my first son when he was 3yrs, imagine that.

CrimeRe: Couple In Trouble After A Dead Kidnap Victim's Phone Was Found On Them by iukpe: 12:58pm On Jun 29, 2017
exlink10:
A husband and wife have landed in serious trouble after they were found with a phone belonging to a woman who was kidnapped and murdered in Imo state.

The husband found with the mobile phone of 45-year-old Mrs. Amaka Okere, who was kidnapped and murdered in Mbieri, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, said the phone was given to him by his wife.

According to Vanguard, the duo identified as Emeka Adibe his wife, Monica were paraded by the Imo State Police Command in Owerri, on Tuesday 26th June 2017. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chris Ezike, said:

“You will recall that on March 1, Mrs Amaka Okere, aged 45, of Mbieri in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, was kidnapped and murdered.

“Investigations are in progress. Emeka Adibe and Monica Adibe were arrested on June 15 in Rivers State and the victim’s telephone handset recovered from them.” While confessing, Mrs Adibe said it was her twin sister’s husband who gave her the phone.

Monica said:

“I am a native of Arochukwu in Abia State; I am married with two kids. I went for a child dedication in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. “While preparing to return home, my sister’s husband gave me a phone. I did not know it was not his. When I returned home, my husband saw the phone, took it and started using it; the Police arrested him.

“I came to ask why he was arrested and the Police also arrested me.”

Her husband Mr. Emeka Adibe, said:

“I swear, I don’t know anything about the phone. It is my wife that brought it and the police saw it and arrested me. This phone has put me in trouble.”

Editor's Note:

Clearly, this couple maybe innocent of any crime and instead Nigeria Police will investigate and get to the root of the crime, they are parading the suspects already. This is just sending a message to the culprit to run away. These couple should have been kept secret until investigation is over.

What kind of policing is this abeg?

This is the reason why most federal judges hate police with passion. They will never do their work diligently, instead they will rush and parade suspects unnecessarily. And a good lawyer will just appear in court and bust their cases wide upon. That is why they loose a lot of case. Same thing with EFCC.

We dont have a police force determined to vindicate the innocent and ensure that true justice is served. The police should know our society well, have a rational discretion even when they meet the most obvious suspects.
we are living in an upside-down country.

As much as i agree with you, the state should have sold off the investment to preserve the national airline. Ruining it and carrying on without an alternative like every other Nigerian thing is the very sad part.
