What was the purpose of this independence 56 years ago? I think we would have been better off dependent for the last 56years. At least we would have had basic facilities and infrastructure in the country. The country would have been better developed and our NIGERIAN POUND would have been the highest currency in Africa.
They should sell ASO ROCK. What good will it do? what will they use the money for? I hope they are selling to foreign investors not our looters who have no idea what to do for our country.

Has anyone suggested a politician not from his state or LGA? Nigerians need to read politician's CVs from their works. Any politician who has served at least 4years in public office should have something to reference as capability to hold higher office.
As Nigerians, this is not usually what we consider. Our country's future is in shambles now. No one is to blame but the masses that let a few take it all.
Anyone coming into the hot seat as president has to fix the deep rooted problems of the country first, before looking at development, because they are all tied up together.

In Nigeria, people tell the police what they want done and what they don't want. Because you have to sponsor your case or investigation. That family simply doesn't have any money to waste aimlessly.

The EFCC, on August 2, 2016 arrested a level six officer of the Accounts Department of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Christy Olabode, for an alleged fraud to the tune of N100 million. Also arrested was her younger brother, Abdul-Shehu Obaze, a staff at the Commercial Department of FAAN in Ilorin, Kwara State, and Dominic Ojo, an IT officer at FAAN Headquarters, Lagos. Her arrest followed an anonymous petition, which indicated that she allegedly diverted the said sum, by inserting names of non-FAAN staff into its payroll. She allegedly conspired with Obaze, to perpetrate the fraud.

Obaze was found to have maintained not less than eight accounts in seven new generation banks, which were used to receive the funds for onward distribution to “several high ranking officers within the FAAN”. The funds were being paid into his various bank accounts with the narrative, “Furniture Allowance”. However, while allowance for FAAN's furniture is usually paid once in three years, Obaze received the “allowance” several times within a year.

Investigations carried out by the EFCC revealed that the fraud had gone on since 2013. It unearthed a payroll with names of many dead, retired and disengaged staff of FAAN listed against Obaze's different bank accounts. Upon interrogation, Obaze, a level nine officer, confessed that other FAAN officials were involved in the massive fraud, including Olabode's husband who works in the Human Resources department of FAAN. Olabode and Ojo currently enjoy administrative bail, while Obaze remains in EFCC custody. They would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

I am into food and hospitality in port Harcourt. I once visited an abattoir on the east west road, amazed at the practice there, I pulled out my camera and took a shot, only to be apprehended by some traders, who marched me to their union leader demanding that I delete the images, which I did and quickly left the area as they began to rain insults on me for no reason.
Many of our abattoirs around the country are as filthy as this one with very dirty practices. The Ministry of health is not concerned with these sector of our food industry. Instead they focus on fast foods, hotels and restaurants issuing premises fitness and food handlers health certificates at ridiculous rates.
