Diesel1:yea. imagine that. |
herbie27:This was far below standard? I do not see the engineering in it. I hope no one was hurt. |
AjayiWrites:Lagos has impressed me. At least at ambulance at the scene. |
[quote author=AjayiWrites post=46361952]14 year old Amina Ibrahim who suffered severe burns after allegedly taking popular antibiotics, Septin, has died. Amina had gone to a chemist to buy medications when she was feeling ill and when she got there, she met the 19 year old son of the pharmacist who prescribed the antibiotics for her. She took the drug and immediately started reacting to it. Within an hour, she suffered sever burns on her face and neck. She was later diagnosed with Stevens-Johnson syndrome, a “rare, serious disorder of skin and mucous membranes that is usually caused from reaction to a medication or an infection. Her condition degenerated into the Stevens Johnson Syndrome (SJS). She died in the morning of June 2nd. So sad. Amina died at the Mohammed Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital in Kano State. The pharmacist has left his son in charge countless times before this incident. How many more are still doing this? Who are the regulatory agencies? Just like some parents leave their under aged children in their bars and stores to sell alcohol and cigarettes. Nigeria. |
99.99% of the accidents that occur in Nigeria don't find victims quickly rushed to hospital. A very important missing link to saving life. FG please do something. One of the impediments to this is the reception sympathizers would get from the hospital or the police if they take responsibility at the scene. In most parts of the country you have private clinics or hospitals evenly distributed. If Clinics are not just a business in Nigeria then they could do more in providing casualty or trauma care at least at the first hours of an incident. Most persons will redeem the medical bills of their loved ones if they find out that the got the needed care after an incident or at least happy that their life was saved. One of my suggestions on a NL post was that the Fed ministry of health, State health ministries and NGOs should do something to ensure that clinics or hospitals can get some support so they can receive and attend to intensive care or first aid arising from accidents or disasters, this including ambulance services. It is better if a doctor examines a patient minutes after an accident and he is the one to declare the person dead. Money is now being saved on petrol subsidy , this a good place to put 25% of the saved funds, for the benefit of all Nigerians especially those who might be so unfortunate to be unknown when incidents happen. |
See what this office can do within the police force to an inspector, then imagine what he has done with ordinary citizens before now. |
In the advanced countries, the identity of suspects are released as soon as it's known to security agencies. Here the identity is kept secret. These people need to be exposed. |
Fake insurance papers/ cover issued by the government. |
This is GRAPHIC!!! |
Supermansteve:Noticed that too. Its not what you don't like to eat but what makes you sick after eating. |
That's the way it should be. |
Likei:Abeg joor. When did we last have a young President? |
Thanks to Nairaland. fast becoming the news medium for Nigerians. Maybe someday we will see Nairaland TV. But let me ask, do we have this much killings in any other country? |
Just checking for common sense here. |

richidinho:Corps member cannot move around with police escorts, they are Nigerians. Death can come to anyone at anytime, everyone just has to keep praying. These are end-times. I wonder if we are not already seeing the rapture. To the almighty God, death is just a transition, to man it's scary and painful anyhow it comes. |
Crixina:OK, klubbers go and learn church dance if you plan to repent. |
It must be the bouncers that threw him out, ushers receive people. |
We will stop seeing these kind of images in nigeria when emegency services and saving lives become top priority. Even the dead or injured will be moved before you get a chance to take photos. |
Because he did not steal his money, else he would have gone to build in South Africa and Brazil like rumours we hear of our past leaders. |
Mustay:Well Well.....don't the photos just teach us exactly what is possible in our society today? |
kenonze:I agree. A professional photographer is supposed to know for what purpose his photograph is meant and guide to be sure it is acceptable at the end. |
lilyheaven:Security agents are now using their skills rather. If robberies go this way it will surely discourage robbers from risking their young lives . |
is that 08165094222? |
Hallack:Bring fuel, tyre, matches!!!! |
mesoprogress:I do not support breaking the mirrors. I would recommend the soldier pulls them all over and make them wait at least 30mins before they continue their journey. This will feel equally intimidating but more remorseful to the drivers than loosing their side mirrors. What we have here is not an ideal situation. The drivers have protected their side mirrors all the while, why break them now? Its similar to breaking their tail lamps or head lights. Here I see bad road causing the hold up. Every driver will feel the anxiety to get past the delay asap. However they should have waited the soldier who is trying to assist. The soldier simply went on rampage. He lost the ability to manage the situation correctly. |
contactmorak:Can he tell us the girls answer if he asked her why she wrote these things? |
