Yeah, willingly with the threats from police. Even hardened criminals could crack in the presence of police let alone your wife. As to the statement written, I am certain a police officer dictated the content to her. |
ThankUJesus:What company? |
TUANKU:In attempt to sound smart, you made no sense. That link is as legitimate as they come. |
splashbaby:Speaking from experience, you can almost register any name with CAC as long as another person does not own it and it is not expressly illegal. Words like Nigeria, Naira and the rest that should be protected are freely given out. BTW, company registration is not the same as copyright or trademark. |
Moblux:This company should never have been registered in the first place as individuals don't have the right to copyright national assets or their derivatives. By the time the case is over, this greedy company may cause trouble for other businesses with "Naira" in their name, even Nairaland may be targeted. |
excellence44:Of course, everyone accuses "governor" but can't mention their name. |
AutoBodyParts:So, Nigerians can start using lawmakers to harass them over subscription fee. |
vineyardfarms:You are just another fraudster felling lucky. The one scam money that will hook your throat is on the way. |
joyandfaith:No foreign doctor will come to work in Nigeria at civil service salary scale. Unless they are fleeing for their life. Same goes with other expats, a country like ours can only attract talent by offering attractive package. |
Where you also paid to grant this interview? |
joyandfaith:Why will a government which find it hard meeting up with salary and other obligations "waste" its money on foreign doctors? That could only mean two things. Either they can't find local doctors with required experience or they value the skills of foreign doctors. Since you have experience on this issue, are those expat doctors entry-level GPs or specialists? |
justmondris:Very true. If it all about taking advantage, the same people will not be wasting the money they would have saved by paying foreigners 5-10 times the locals salary. |
Akwamkpuruamu:Hunger is calling on you. |
Doctors are paid according to the value of their services which depends on factors such as experience, specialty and commitment to work. It is private establishment that hires foreign doctors and they have their reasons. |
festacman:Was she even part of this team? |
nymphomaniac:What does this practically mean? The government has no card to play against demand and supply. (embrace good leadership and reduce import /encourage export, stop loan collection)Unless you turn a mindless dictator, you can't reduce import with any positive effect. The attempt to directly control the import of rice led to more than 100% increase in its price. The only thing the government controls here is the loan. But they don't just take loans for joke. All the sharing of money aka social investment and arms deal has to come from somewhere. cut off the rottening arm (revoke BDC licenses and embrace rate convergence) and cauterize the wound (continue the path of 1 and 2 above) before it becomes too late.BDCs are already cut out of fx supply and the slide still continues. The populace believe the country is very rich but just need a better money sharer. The reality is that there is no magic fix for our forex short term without the populace taking a financial hit first. |
Tonymexes:I doubt if you understood the article. |
tommy589:Not in America, Russia, Germany and many others. In fact, any country with more than a million population or multiple ethnic groups should not toy with the presidents security. |
tommy589:I hope you don't really believe this. There is no such thing as "treated fairly". It only takes one person and the rest will be history. Many presidents have lost their lives to such naivety. |
walkbrazil4k:Stop misleading people. You didn't visit the presidential palace, you visited the tourist-allowed area. |
lessonotes:Stop deceiving people with pointless propaganda. Even the most democratic African countries are still struggling with poverty. It is time you realize that what matters to an average African is economic development and not the number of times power has changed hands. Talking about self slavery, why is being loved or hated by the west an important criteria for you? |
thesicilian:Which neutral country do you suggest in this case? |
SlayerForever:I won't waste my time on you. You are not too slow to do research are you? |
Yahoo nowadays is no longer for the jobless. Even herdsmen are now into it. |
Lots of ignoramus rejoicing on this thread. There are 2 categories of coup backers in Africa; Europeans, Russia or opposition party. This has always been the case. In the case of Sudan, the coup plotters are Bashir's loyalists. |
![]() They take several days to celebrate and enjoy the punishment of Sabos. Then they blame DSS the following week. This time around they are blaming "sponsored" hoodlums rather than DSS directly. |
phineas:Nobody is fixing price. It is basic economics. If everybody who goes to Nigerian bank for forex gets any amount of dollar they need, "black market" will disappear overnight. If premium times can tell us of 1 developed country that allows a website publish the rates indivuals agree to part with their currency separate from its validated National rate then we will agree that it may be an acceptable practice.Millions of websites actually! Apart from finance information sites such as https://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/. Every website which accept international transactions publish their own separate rates. Paypal for example has a different rates for pounds to dollars than you will get from Google aggregate calculator. Why did they allow this, you ask? Because it is stupid for central banks to fight customers who wants to exchange currency. Whatever the market determine is the rate of exchange. In fact, official rates has no meaning in market-control forex and central banks in developed countries don't cry over them because it is pointless. So how do central banks of developed country influence rate if they wish? They either supply more currency or withdraw existing ones. It is that simple. However if you can't name 1, then ask yourself are they stupid to not let that happen? Or can we do better? Is this not trying to do better, the final question what side are you on PTYou need a basic education in economics, especially demand and supply. If Emefiele actually believe that Abokifx determines exchange rates, then he is a dumbass and should resign. |
TMKsouth:A better approach is for the opposition to start by taking over provinces one after the other. It is very hard to gain power(peacefully) at national level if a party does not have strong subnational bases. |
TMKsouth:Assasination will be an extreme action on his part. Can those guys really pose a political challenge in an election? And his entire population is scared to criticize him - is he God?If I pick 10 random Rwandan newspapers, will I find no article criticising Kagame harshly? I ask this question to gauge the Rwandan political atmosphere because over here such allegations are routinely made even though you will have found 10 government-critical stories before seeing a favorable one in the same medium alleging intimidation and total blackout of opposition voices. Look at China also and all its crazy cultural and electoral reforms in the last month. One guy wakes up one day and decides the fate of millions of people without their consent. I'm not signing up for that.I don't think Kagame has changed a bit. I have always seen him in the image of strongmen like Lee Kuan Ye and Gaddafi. There is merit to their style because of the inherent risk in "full-scale freedom" which is often weaponised into ethnic or group-based hatred by desperate politicians. You will appreciate the value of stability and development if you have outreached to conflict zones. This is not to say that despots or dictators should be tolerated or basic freedoms sacrificed but it is important to create a balance and seek incremental approach to change to avoid plunging the populace into disaster. |
Sonnobax15:Which other continent has produced a leader like Mandela? At the end of the day, it is the developmental results that counts. |
chigoziri2403:Why do you think he is different? |
@TMKsouth Mentally unstable mother murdered her three kids. Don't blame quarantine. |

but I disagree with u on your last point
This guy is assassinating people all over South Africa and Europe. Just last week there was a hit in Mozambique as well.
