Thanks for your understanding Tink but do me a favour and delete the excerpt you quoted as it contains that too. Till we chat okay. Thanks for your birthday wishes too when you are far away from family and friends, a lil thing as such wishes mean much and brings great joy, |
@Tink-ish I think you both should talk and straighten things out dear. How long is he going to be away schooling? It also depends on you and whether you will be able to wait for that period of time. |
yes, but please do not generalize. Not everyone is like that. Cause If I were to generalize as well, I would claim China to be fraudsters in duplicating original products and Nigeria to be 419 and malaysia to be human trafikkers and rapers and etc etc which is not a good thing cause not everyone is like that. but back to the question, what shall I get for them?I myself do not like it too when people generalize, I did not generalize. I said some Nigerian ladies not all. It happened to somebody close to me and I was shocked. Okay I will suggest that you get like 3 shirts and trousers(pants) for your boo's dad and some sweet looking gown, wig for his momsie. Just to have them looking boyoyo boyoyo(nice nice)----smile |
Ewoo my people, i dey always hear some people singing sweet and nice choir songs on weekends behind where I live. I always join the song and hum along while doing my house chores na im I come pass there sometime ago come notice say na real church dey there. This evening I come pass there again come see say the name of the church na "Thus says the Word ministeries". University of the Holy Ghost. The thing no dey only Naija (even though say our own na im pass). For here sef na almost the same thing, preachers bark and howl on the television and I quickly change the channels wondering whether they have to shout and bark to send us the message. They should all tone it down and stop turning some weak minded people off the christian religion with these excesses. As for me church is sweet praise and worship (that quickly connects me to man G.O.D) and inspiring and eloquent preaching whether in a television, at home alone or fellowshiping with God's people or in the middle of my beloved Adefarasin's "House on the rock" (even our own church name rocks too, but it rocks real good---ain't no church like that church of ours, any member here can agree with an Amen!) church there in Lagos. I can have church anywhere but definitely not in Holy Japhet's Munistrys, I no wan get bamitimized shooooooooo-----smile |
@Osama10 I read your posts to see whether you were asking me to take my eyes off here so you guys can ogle on but your posts showed me a more responsible person and for that I will take your advice and run. I do hope somebody takes it off. Thanks |
makajibbz:No Baby, I truly appreciate these persons. I can't help that sometimes I see Roses where others see thorns. Thanks |
@Gabry You are sweeter than I even thought. I appreciate your good-heartedness. Giving because you really want to give not to seek affection and draw closer to the boyfriend's family like some of our Naija ladies do. A certain lady I know (did she even buy new stuffs for the sister -in-law then, can't remember because the girl told me she was given handed-down clothes) when she was being courted by the brother. Then immediately they got married, the sister-in-law was seriously rebuked (by that same lady that was acting up nice to her before she got married to her brother) for wearing one of her accessories. Now she talks down on the girl who visits her brother sometimes and once even asked her "what she is still doing in her brother's house?". Some of our ladies are only as nice as they are able to get into the hearts of the family of their boyfriends and after the wedding, that same person will remind you----that your brother's house is now her property. I am not joking here----it happens. |
Gabry Baby, Is that picture really you? I never knew you are mixed----thought you are a black lady proper like myself. I am one of your fans too and yes I think you are cute too just like Mama-Gee even though Mama pisses me off when she starts her own here in Nairaland but they are still part of the reason I like her. All of you special people like 190 too makes Nairaland rock in a certain kind of way-----smile |
A certain Oyingboju posted the unclothedness of a woman in this thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-496297.0.html which is not decent at all. I am not trying to act up nicy nicy or holy holy here, that picture does not seem right there. It's out of place and have guys ogling away at it. Can something be done about it please unless the Nairaland website tolerates that. Thanks |
hackney:@Hackney Now tone it down Baby, come on. Nigeria is no mess and tribalism isn't genetic either. Nigeria has proved itself more mature with years, hasn't it? |
@Johnyboy Please don't be hard on Seyibrown and call her "kill joy" though you are very right to say that Rhino came in to dash our fun here.Seyibrown is only defending her religion here as any christian will want to. If Rhino 3dm is a mature person he should have known that talking down on the religion of others like that has cost so many lives in this country. The moderators should be taking off such offensive comments off threads but as we christians have to look at such "desecration of the christian religion" here. The best thing is for us to ignore Mr. Rhino which I am glad we have done, he is only seeking attention here and we are having so much fun that we paid him no mind. Have fun people! |
Abeg make una leave Charly boy make him enjoy im life. It's only one life we 've got to live you know and we all have the right to live it as we want: whether dull, ordinary, blingy and jewel filled, active, sad, happy. You become what you choose. It's true that in our Nigerian society that most of us will look at some of his Nigerian-considered excesses and call him names but I do like to see old people living it up and refusing to let go of the sunny side of life which is why it excites me endlessly to see a well made-up and well dressed fifty or sixty something year old woman. It's high time we stop ascribing shabby, ordinary, funless, dowdy, reserved, introverted to old age, people should not stop being fun and active just because they are piling up years. I remember getting irritated once on hearing him categorize his children as "some documented and some undocumented" can't remember the exact words he used. I was like "what irresponsibility?" yet I admire his courage and his guts to laugh life in the face and have fun with it. Who among us is perfect? Just like Rihanna and Tc sang "Go on Charly Baby and live your life", if he has done all the wrong in this world he must have done some good to have the Okadas and other youths and fans loving him good" Let up on Life people and begin to add more positive shine to your life if you can. It's one life you know, come to think of it it's friday evening and I feel like hearing music blasting away, anybody good to go get some fun. We can go get it started in Luizworld Gentleman's club here in Nairaland, Hey Luizworld where are you Baby, how is our club looking tonight? (Ivynwa leaves the thread (to go nice up and head to Luizworld's club) while singing and dancing happily to Lady Gaga's "Just dance, gonna be okay, du-du-du just dance----spin the record Babe----dudu-du just dance, dance, just just dance-e-e-e-e-e) http://naijas-across-the-globe..com/ |
Outstrip:@ outstrip My sister, that looks very real, from all indication their cocktail party was sponsored by such companies as viagra(why will a church not think deep enough to know that they should not patronize or even be patronized by the viagra company or such alcoholic making ones like St. Remy not that I have anything against these companies). @ all I am loving you all for adding colour to my day,as soon as I saw the topic of that thread, I told myself to come and have a share of laughter and I wasn't disappointed. While we are at it I can as well coin my own church name. How about "Money, Car, Houses, Children and Husbands now now ministeries (note the plurality as you are watching out for the spread of our branches to every nook and cranny of Nigeria. Abeg who get Coaster bus make we borrow, paint join the advertisement sef----shoo. We, we no dey do mumu mumu like that Holy Japhet Munistrys wey no fit get better artist design their ordinary cloth poster. Baptism sef dey no fit spell but dey sabi spell all the amount for the different types of prayers. For our side , all our prayers na original original, we dey also do low cost wedding on Mondays for young couples wey wan avoid the high cost of wedding for Naija. It's offering time----everybody shout "business time!--------that time don pass wey people dey reply investment time! when pastor shout offering time! you never hear sef, siddon there dey look. |
Did I hear some Dude say that he wants to save Nigeria? Can somebody tell the dude to start by sharing the loots he stashed outside Nigeria to every family in Nigeria. It is people like them that r-a-p-e-d our great nation to the point that families are undergoing hardship and suffering, the youths are feeling hopeless and are resorting to crime and kidnapping. A wealthy nation yet the inhabitants are reeking of poverty, thanks to those that care nothing about us but to take away what belongs to us. I don't know why Ghardarfi was villified and his country ex-communicated when he advised that Nigeria be divided to prevent religious killing as was done in the past by some countries with such problem. I myself advised that a long time ago in facebook long before Ghardarfi bought into it. Our country needs to be parted into 5 or more countries, my reason is that we are too many for resources to be co-ordinated enough to reach each one of us. I believe that we can all have a better standard of living as smaller countries. It is evident in certain countries of the world. Hey! I hope I won't get stripped of my citizenship for saying my opinion-------(smile) cos I still love my Naija (whether broken into smaller, better and more peaceful countries or logged together in disharmony and hardship). It is well with us. http://naijas-across-the-globe..com/2010/08/how-do-we-stop-419nersscammers-from.html |
Some Nigerians should be smart enough to quickly work on their papers and regularize their stay wherever it is they choose to live even if it is inside the belly of ant. I sure respect the bravado of we Nigerians, we are so strong that we can work hard and turn sands into profitable ventures even in a desert. We shouldn't forget to regularize our papers while we are at it. In a certain country where it is required for one to pay a huge sum of money as bond, some Nigerians chose to play smart and skip paying the bond. Recently the country made a new law that made it mandatory for such people to be deported out of the country and right now so many Nigerians there have their bag of money looking for who to accept bond from them to no avail. Our passports when regularized gives one lots of peace of mind, it does not matter if you have to marry to do so-----I have nothing against it. One has to survive, if the table is turned around the same people that call that a crime, disgusting, shabby can tenaciously hold on to that method to survive. We all are racing to survive, ain't we? http://naijas-across-the-globe..com/2010/08/how-do-we-stop-419nersscammers-from.html |
The manipulation of such gadgets are not really difficult, anybody that can manipulate a simple phone can easily find their way around most gadgets of nowadays. It's just that some of us allow the sight of such intimidate us. I always take them on as a challenge (loving to work with machines) and I meet them head-on until I find my way around such. Let's stop being technophobic people! machines and gadgets are all fascinating equipments. http://naijas-across-the-globe..com/2010/08/how-do-we-stop-419nersscammers-from.html |
Amiga4 sweetheart, you have been thru so much. I really feel for you but I'm very glad that the years the cankerworm have stolen are being restored back to you and that you are even still on a good side of the biological clock to have a full fledged family as in have more children. Sweetheart, I wasn't happy about the part abt you cutting ties wt your family. It is true that you are the one that went thru what u went thru and I can never feel it like you did. Your family may have wronged you in some ways but note that most times outsiders like fake pastors, fake friends and advisers point false accusing fingers at one's family especially in times of sicknesses. In Naija so many families have been broken by such fake people that prophesy and tell people that their families are responsible for their woes. Just be careful okay and be able to sieve the truth very well so that u don't cut ties wt family like that. I am sure some of them still have your welfare at heart. They can't all be bad, blood is so thick that some of us can't hate past that. All in all, I am very excited that things are working out for you dear. May God be glorified. That your ex-husband and your sibling should be ashamed of themselves. |
